Biden Proposes $6.8 Trillion Budget for FY 2024, Trillion More Than Last Year

President Joe Biden on Thursday announced a $6.8 trillion budget for Fiscal Year 2024, which is $1 trillion more than his budget proposal last year.

Biden proposed increasing taxes in order to fund the budget.

“You have to begin to pay your fair share,” Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young said, Axios reported.

The proposal is unlikely to be passed by Congress.

The budget is four times larger than the $1.7 trillion omnibus budget package Congress passed last year.

Canada: Federal Government Upcoming Fiscal Numbers Expected to Break Records

The federal government is expected to report a new spending record in its next fiscal statement, according to a new study.

The Fraser Institute study released on Thursday wrote the Trudeau government is expected to report spending of 5% more than the highest non-COVID year in history, seen in the fiscal year of 2019.

“[Spending in recent years] will significantly exceed levels previously experienced in times of crisis, such as war and deep recession,” wrote fiscal researcher Jake Fuss.

Fuss said the government is on-track to report a spending level of roughly $11,500 per person in Canada.

Affirmative Action Ban Passes Arkansas Senate

The Arkansas Senate on Thursday narrowly approved legislation aimed at ending affirmative action by state and local agencies, despite warnings that the move would threaten a host of programs ranging from health initiatives to support for historically Black colleges.

The bill approved by the majority-Republican Senate on an 18-12 vote prohibits discrimination or granting preferential treatment on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. The measure, which now heads to the majority-GOP House for a vote, would also apply to public schools and institutions of higher education.

Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan portrayed his proposal, which gives state agencies two years to comply, as an effort to address discrimination.

Anti-Capitalism Meme Comparing Fast Food Chicken Sandwiches Backfires Massively

A meme apparently intended to criticize capitalism resurfaced this week and was met with intense criticism from conservatives, many of whom pointed out that it actually reinforces the benefits of capitalism: abundance, diversity of choice, competition, and prosperity.

The meme, pictured in the Tweet below, reads: “‘Capitalism breeds innovation’“ then under “Capitalism:” it features 12 different fried chicken sandwiches offered by America’s various fast food chains. The chains included Popeyes, Carl’s Jr., Zaxby’s, Chick-fil-A, Sonic, Church’s, KFC, Burger King, Jack, Wendy’s McDonald’s, and Arby’s.

When discussing his newly unveiled budget blueprint, President Biden referred to his predecessor, former President Donald Trump, as the “maybe future president” of the United States while recalling a “big fight” the two men had during the 2020 campaign.

“I was running for office at the time, and you may remember that I had a big fight with the former president and maybe future president.” Biden recalled at the Finishing Trades Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“Bless be Father.” Biden added, while making the sign of the cross.

Comedian Alex Stein Sues AOC Over Fallout From Heckle

Radical Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been hit with a lawsuit from a comedian after she blocked him on Twitter.

AOC blocked Alex Stein after he heckled her outside the U.S. Capitol in a viral video.

Video of Stein’s heckling stunt quickly spread on social media after he caused AOC to explode with rage by giving her hyper-sexualized “compliments.”

The lawsuit says AOC blocked Alex Stein “in retaliation to Mr. Stein’s exercise of his First Amendment right, because earlier that day Mr. Stein, in the context of political commentary and satire, complimented Ms. Cortez.

“Mr. Stein has a constitutional right to access Ms. Cortez’s Twitter account as part of vigorous public comment and criticism.

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, country music singer John Rich, and conservative commentator Larry Elder have bought a bank that they say will promote American values and protect customers from the cancel culture and de-platforming that has been seen in recent times.

The three conservatives acquired the First State Bank of Elmore City, Oklahoma, the state’s oldest bank. They have renamed it to the Old Glory Bank and changed it into a bank that supports “freedom, privacy, security, life, and liberty.”

Dem Bill Would Prevent Anyone Under Age of 25 Being Charged With Murder Felony

A new ‘racial justice’ bill introduced by Democrats in Maryland would prevent suspected criminals under the age of 25 being charged with felony murder under the justification that their frontal lobes are not fully developed.

Yes, really.

A felony murder occurs when someone is killed as a result of a felony crime, like if a getaway driver hits a pedestrian while fleeing the scene of a robbery.

Democrats appear to think that it’s racist to charge someone for that crime even if they are legally an adult.

Democrats Repeatedly Attack Twitter Files Witnesses at Contentious Hearing: ‘Elon Musk’s Public Scribes’

House Democrats on Thursday repeatedly disparaged hearing witnesses Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger, two of the media figures behind breaking the “Twitter Files,” implying they were paid off and not true journalists.

On several occasions, Democratic members of the House Judiciary Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government suggested that the two witnesses were unbecoming of their title and had only covered the Twitter Files for monetary gain.

In addition, Taibbi and Shellenberger were accused of “cherrypicking” information from internal Twitter communications to support GOP talking points.

Fauci Rejects Claims From Former CDC Director That He ‘Froze-Out’ Lab Leak Proponents

Former National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci on Thursday rejected congressional testimony from a former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director alleging that Fauci had excluded proponents of the theory that COVID-19 leaked from a Chinese lab from major discussions on handling the pandemic.

“I really feel badly about that because I’ve known Bob a long time. He is totally and unequivocally incorrect in what he’s saying, that I excluded him. I had nothing to do with who would be on that call,” Fauci told Fox News’s Neil Cavuto of former CDC Director Robert Redfield’s testimony.

Florida Law Banning Firearm Sales to People Younger Than 21 Upheld by Federal Appeals Court

A law passed in Florida in the wake of the Parkland school shooting that requires individuals to be at least 21 years old to purchase firearms was upheld by a federal appeals court on Thursday.

The Florida legislature passed the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act with bipartisan support three weeks after the shooting, in which a 19-year-old shot and killed 17 people.

While the law bans firearm sales to Floridians between the ages of 18 and 21, it doesn’t prohibit them from possessing guns. The bill also banned bump stocks, an attachment that allows semiautomatic weapons to fire at a faster rate.

Former NBA Superstar Shawn Kemp is Arrested Over a Shooting in a Parking Lot

Former Seattle SuperSonics star Shawn Kemp is facing a felony criminal charge over a shooting involving two vehicles in Tacoma, Wash., that took place Wednesday, according to police records. No one was reportedly hurt in the incident.

The formal charge against Kemp, 53, accuses him of a drive-by shooting. But people close to Kemp tell local news outlets that the case is one of self-defense, after Kemp allegedly confronted someone after tracking a stolen iPhone.

An altercation broke out in a parking lot that escalated into shots being fired, the Tacoma Police Department said. “One car fled,” it stated, and one man was arrested at the scene, adding that its investigation is ongoing.

The police department didn’t name Kemp in its announcement, referring instead to his age, gender, and a drive-by shooting charge. Online records show Shawn Travis Kemp was booked into the Pierce County Jail shortly after the police report, on a felony charge of drive-by shooting.

Former Lawyer for ‘QAnon Shaman’ Says Jan. 6 Footage Wasn’t Shown to Client, Calls Prison Sentence a ‘Tragedy’

The ex-lawyer for Jacob Chansley, the Navy veteran known widely in the media as the “QAnon Shaman” for his outlandish look during the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson he had not seen the newly-released footage that could have aided his client against federal charges.

Chansley, who famously went shirtless and donned face paint and a horned hat while carrying an American flag on the day Congress certified President Biden’s election victory, was portrayed as the leader of pro-Trump rioters who violently attacked Capitol Police officers and defaced the Capitol Building. However, the over 40,000 hours of Capitol footage exclusively obtained by “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show him being escorted around by Capitol Police without incident.

GOP Lawmaker Touts House Passage of Censorship Protections, Warns Against Government Interference

Texas Republican Rep. Brian Babin on Thursday celebrated the House passing legislation to curb government censorship of free speech.

Appearing on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show, Babin discussed the House having passed the Protecting Speech from Government Interference Act by a 219-206 margin on a strictly party-line vote. The bill states that “employees acting in their official capacity should neither take action within their authority or influence to promote the censorship of any lawful speech, nor advocate that a third party, including a private entity, censor such speech.”

GOP Lawmaker ‘Wouldn’t be Surprised’ if China Deliberately Started Pandemic

Florida Republican Rep. Greg Steube on Thursday indicated that mounting evidence surrounding the notion that the COVID-19 pandemic was the result of a lab leak in Wuhan had left him open to the idea that Beijing may have deliberately allowed the virus to spread throughout the world.

“I mean, I don’t have any facts or evidence in front of me to show the intent,” he conceded during an appearance on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show. “But if you look at all the substantial and circumstantial evidence here, the timing of the leak, the fact that they denied and denied that it even came from a lab… It wouldn’t surprise me at all, the Chinese Communist Party released this virus.”

Steube outlined two possible motivations China might have for such an action, saying the regime might have sought to gauge “the impact that [the virus] would have worldwide.”

Alternatively, he suggested China might do so because “they hated President Trump because of the tough-on-China policies that he had, not just on the economy and trade, but other military policies that he had, and knew that a huge pandemic taking out thousands and hundreds of thousands of Americans… would very much diminish his chances in reelection.”

GOP Rep. Darin LaHood Says He Thinks FBI Unlawfully Monitored Him

Illinois Republican Rep. Darin LaHood said Thursday that he thinks that the FBI unlawfully monitored him.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence in December declassified a report stating that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 was abused by the FBI under Section 702, which allows the federal government “to conduct targeted surveillance of foreign persons located outside the United States, with the compelled assistance of electronic communication service providers, to acquire foreign intelligence information,” according to Fox News.

The FBI inappropriately used Section 702 to repeatedly search for a member of Congress, who was not named, the intelligence report stated.

House Judiciary Republicans React After Fiery Twitter Files Hearings: Democrats ‘Embarrassed Themselves’

FIRST ON FOX: Several GOP members of the House Judiciary Committee shared their thoughts on the fiery Twitter Files select subcommittee hearing that took place Thursday afternoon.

The hearing saw Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government ranking member Del. Stacey Plaskett, D-V.I., and Texas Democrat Rep. Sylvia Garcia ask testifying journalist Matt Taibbi to divulge his sources under oath.

Taibbi refused to share his sources during the subcommittee hearing, holding his ground even after repeated attempts by both lawmakers to get him to crack.

House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who also chairs the select subcommittee, told Fox News Digital that the witnesses in the hearing were “just outstanding” and praised Taibbi and fellow testifying journalist Michael Shellenberger as “sharp individuals.”

“But I think the key takeaway is Democrat members of Congress asking journalists to divulge their sources,” Jordan said in the Thursday phone call after the subcommittee hearing. “And I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anything like that.”

Hundreds of Thousands of Americans Are Skipping College and Taking on Pay-by-the-Hour Work Amid Fears Over Skyrocketing Tuition and Student Debt — as Claims They Will Enroll After a Few Years Evaporate

Students are electing to avoid college in the hundreds of thousands since before the pandemic, with many electing to take hourly jobs amid fears of tuition and debt.

What first looked like a pandemic blip has turned into a crisis. Nationwide, undergraduate college enrollment dropped 8% from 2019 to 2022, with declines even after returning to in-person classes, according to data from the National Student Clearinghouse.

The slide in the college-going rate since 2018 is the steepest on record, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.

JPMorgan is Ordered to Turn Over More Records From CEO Jamie Dimon in Lawsuit Filed by US Virgin Islands Accusing Bank of Facilitating Jeffrey Epstein’s Sex-Trafficking

JPMorgan Chase has been ordered to turn over additional records regarding its CEO amid an ongoing lawsuit involving Jeffery Epstein, which alleges the bank played a part in late financier’s now-well-known sex-trafficking ring.

Filed by the US Virgin Islands, the suit contends the New York-based bank knew about Epstein’s nefarious behavior for years — and even aided the convicted sex fiend’s sordid exploits while willingly turning a blind eye.

Epstein — who died in 2019 while in federal custody in the Big Apple — ran much of his criminal activities out of his compound on Little St. James Island, a private island he owned off the coast that falls in the Virgin Islands’ jurisdiction.

McConnell Being Treated for Concussion After Fall

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is being treated for a concussion after his fall at a hotel in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night, his spokesman said.

McConnell, 81, is expected to remain in the hospital “for a few days” as he receives treatment for injuries sustained by his fall. The Kentucky Senator was attending an evening dinner for the Senate Leadership Fund, a political action committee aligned with him, when he tripped and fell, his office said. The dinner was at the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, formerly the Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C.

“Leader McConnell tripped at a dinner event Wednesday evening and has been admitted to the hospital and is being treated for a concussion. He is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days of observation and treatment,” said David Popp, McConnell’s communications director, in an update on Thursday.

Oregon Reversing Course? Retail Thefts Could Result in More Jail Time Under New Bill

Oregon lawmakers are considering legislation aimed at curbing organized retail theft by funding police sting operations and changing policies to keep thieves in jail longer.

One bill would provide additional, targeted funding to the Oregon Department of Justice and law enforcement, while the other changes policies to make it easier to prosecute cross-county thefts and increase the maximum sentence for organized retail theft.

Person of Interest in Custody in Fatal Deli Shooting, Series of Bodega Robberies

NEW YORK — A person of interest is in custody after a series of bodega robberies, including one that ended in a deadly shooting.

The suspect is accused of murdering a bodega clerk on the Upper East Side last week. Investigators said the same suspect tried to rob a deli in the Bronx less than an hour later.

Sources said investigators recovered the suit in a dumpster less than half a mile from the Bronx deli. Surveillance video reportedly shows the suspect throwing the hazmat suit away.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Escobar, who was 7 months pregnant, allegedly met the drug dealers and got in their car to complete a “drug transaction” but then her boyfriend flanked the vehicle in an attempt to rob the crew, prompting the drug dealers to shoot Escobar multiple times before she “tumbled out of the car.”

Report: 6-Year-Old Won’t be Charged After Shooting Teacher

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Authorities in the Virginia city where a 6-year-old shot and wounded his teacher will not seek criminal charges against the child, the local prosecutor told NBC News Wednesday, in a decision that was anticipated by legal experts.

But Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney Howard Gwynn said his office has yet to decide if any adults will be held criminally accountable.

Newport News police have said that the boy used his mother’s 9mm handgun in the Jan. 6 shooting at Richneck Elementary School. A lawyer for the child’s mother has previously stated that the weapon, which was legally purchased, was secured on a high closet shelf and had a lock on it.

Gwynn did not immediately respond to two phone messages and two emails from The Associated Press seeking comment.

He told NBC that the “prospect that a 6-year-old can stand trial is problematic” because he wouldn’t have the competency to understand the legal system and what a charge means.

Gwynn told the news outlet that his office is still focusing on others besides the child.

“Once we analyze all the facts, we will charge any person or persons that we believe we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt committed a crime,” he said.

The decision did not come as a surprise. Even though it is possible under Virginia law to criminally charge a 6-year-old child, legal experts said it would be highly unlikely that a prosecutor would even try.

A common-law doctrine known as the “infancy defense” holds that children under 7 cannot be prosecuted for a crime because they are too young to be capable of forming criminal intent. A judge also would have to find that the child was competent to stand trial, meaning that he could understand the legal proceedings and assist attorneys defending him.

A recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece accused the union of ‘using its pipeline to teachers to promote the teaching of a left-wing political agenda and activism.’

Ron DeSantis Rails Against Mainstream Media’s ‘Book Ban Hoax’: ‘A False Political Narrative’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took shocking measures to call out the mainstream media’s “hoax” and push back against the far-left narrative that the Republican leader is trying to ban books.

In a press event Wednesday, DeSantis showed sexually explicit material from books that are readily available in some of Florida’s public school libraries. Local media outlets cut away from the live event due to the graphic nature of the content, inadvertently proving his point.

“There was a Duval County school video where they took a video of empty bookshelves and they say, ‘the state of Florida doesn’t want books, they’re trying to censor books’ and all this stuff. Turned out that was a hoax,” DeSantis said in response to accusations that the state is “banning books.”

Suspect Dead After Allegedly Shooting 3 L.A. Police Officers

Three Los Angeles Police Department officers were shot Wednesday night and a suspect was dead following a confrontation in the city’s Lincoln Heights neighborhood, police officials said.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on North Broadway at Mission Road. All three officers were expected to survive.

Officers with the Hollenbeck station were called around 3:50 p.m. to the 3800 block of Broadway on Wednesday afternoon to search for a parolee at large, LAPD Assistant Chief Al Labrada said Wednesday night at a news conference held outside L.A. County-USC Medical Center.

Officers found the suspect, who they said refused to comply with commands, and a K-9 unit was requested from the Metropolitan Division.

Officers used gas on the suspect, who still did not comply with their commands, Labrada said.

“At one point during the search,” he said, “the suspect exited and fired at the officers, wounding three … who are now listed in stable condition here just behind me.”

All of the officers who were shot were part of the Metropolitan Division’s K-9 unit.

After they were hit, other officers pulled them from the line of fire, law enforcement sources said. They were taken to the hospital by ambulances.

One officer was shot in the arm, another in the leg and a third was hit in the torso but his body armor likely deflected the round leaving him with shrapnel injuries, according to law enforcement sources.

Labrada said all three of the officers were able to speak and that their families were at the hospital.

At some point during the incident, an unknown number of officers fired at the suspect, Labrada said.

The suspect was confirmed dead Wednesday night by police officials several hours after the officers were shot. He was identified by authorities on Thursday as Jonathan Magana.

The cause and manner of his death were not disclosed.

The LAPD’s force investigation division is investigating the shooting by police, Labrada said, while the Robbery-Homicide Division is investigating the shooting that injured the officers.

Canadian Senator Suggests Bill C-18 Could be Expanded to Cover Platforms Where Creators Talk About the News

Discussions around Bill C-18 (Online News Act), which is currently in the second reading phase in Canada’s Senate, are ongoing at the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage (CHPC).

The bill — which promises to “take into account” principles of freedom of expression and journalistic independence — passed in the House of Commons last December and is now just a step away from becoming law, is presented by its sponsors as a way to regulate digital news intermediaries in order to enhance fairness in the Canadian digital news marketplace.

This seems to mostly come down to making platforms like Facebook and Google pay publishers for hosting links to news. And now, a senator is suggesting there may be a way of expanding this mandatory payment for links to platforms where creators just talk about the news.

UN Signs Deal to Salvage Stranded Oil From Tanker Off Yemen

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The United Nations announced Thursday it signed an agreement to purchase a very large vessel that can transfer more than 1 million barrels of crude now stranded in a rusting tanker off the coast of war-torn Yemen.

The deal is the first step in an eventual operation to evacuate the cargo and eliminate the threat of massive environmental damage from a possible oil spill or explosion.

Achim Steiner, administrator of the U.N. Development Program, told a news conference that the deal was signed with Euronav, the world’s largest independent tanker company, to secure the purchase of a large crude carrier for the endeavor.

The double-hulled carrier, found “following an intense search on an extremely stressed global market,” is expected to sail within the next month to Yemen’s Red Sea waters and park alongside the FSO Safer, he said.

“If all things go according to plan,” the ship-to-ship crude transfer would start in early May,” Steiner said.

Ukraine Crisis Could Become New Hundred Years’ War if West’s Arms Aid Doesn’t Stop, Le Pen Warns

The West’s decision to continue arming Ukraine threatens to turn the conflict into a long and brutal conflagration, French opposition leader Marine Le Pen has warned.

Included in his plan to hike taxes on the wealthy and corporations to pay for a plethora of social programs is the money for migrants and a mere $40 million to combat fentanyl trafficking, a growing issue of concern for Americans.

Channel Migrant Stabbed Student Because He Wanted to be Deported From Britain

Iraqi Rebaz Mohammed attacked teenager Ellis Wheeler in a leafy park, leaving him fighting for his life

This is the moment an Iraqi immigrant stabbed a university student because he wanted to be deported from Britain.

Ellis Wheeler, a teenager, was left fighting for his life after Rebaz Mohammed attacked him as he walked through a leafy park on his way back from the gym.

Footage shows Mohammed pulling out a kitchen knife from his coat before lunging at the 18-year-old’s back and puncturing his lung in broad daylight.

The Iraqi can be seen approaching the student shortly before the attack, speaking to him briefly and asking if he knew kickboxing before swinging at him.

Mr Wheeler managed to run away but passed out before being rushed to hospital, where he underwent surgery.

Macron ‘Will Refuse to Take Back Migrants Who Land in Britain on Small Boats’ At Paris Summit With PM — as Pressure Grows on Rishi to Hammer Out £200m Deal With France to Tackle Channel Crisis

Emmanuel Macron is expected to refuse Rishi Sunak’s demands that Britain be allowed to return migrants who cross the Channel in small boats back to France at today’s summit in Paris.

Britain hopes to secure his active support at the summit for a long-term deal, similar to the EU’s existing ‘Dublin’ rules, to return illegal immigrants who cross the English Channel.

But European diplomats said the request would be rejected at a time when France is accusing other member states, such as neighbouring Italy, of failing to take back migrants.

‘We Have Space, But Not for Germans’ — Protests Against Elderly Residents Being Evicted to Accommodate Migrants Labeled ‘Far-Right’

Germany is increasingly evicting its elderly residents to make room for refugees as the country deals with an extreme housing crisis brought on to a great extent by mass immigration. However, those protesting this trend are being labeled far-right and xenophobic by government officials. At the same time, they are complaining they can no longer partake in such evictions “silently,” as public outrage grows over a practice that has long been used in the past without as much scrutiny.

As Remix News has previously reported, the city’s municipal housing association evicted dozens of long-term residents in the German city of Lörrach, many of them senior citizens, to accommodate migrants. In Berlin, a Christian organization forced out over 100 seniors to make room for migrants there. It is a well-known secret in Germany that even non-profits now prefer to house migrants rather than the elderly, as they can earn more money doing so, which can also be a motivating factor for cash-strapped non-profits.

After raising the issue of male students being allowed to use the same bathroom as his 12-year-old daughter, and pointing out how “sexually driven” adolescent males can be, the concerned father was interrupted by trustee Dr. Nili Kaplan-Myrth, who asked him to end his delegation on the grounds that it created “an unsafe environment for people who identify as gender diverse.”

The Right Sort of Racism

by Daniel Greenfield

Next year a racist country will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. Segregation has made a comeback at colleges with racially separate dorms and graduation ceremonies. Corporate employees are expected to join the affinity groups of their race and employers and activists closely scrutinize the race, gender and sexuality of officials, executives and creatives.

Call it wokeness, equity or anti-racism, they all amount to a country that has within a short span of time talked itself into constructing the most racist system since segregation. The sixties were trending away from racism while the twenties are rushing headlong into it. Boomers prided themselves on their tolerance while Zoomers make intolerance into their identity.

Rodgers and Hammerstein had a point with “You’ve Got to Be Carefully Taught”. Americans have been carefully taught to hate by the highest institutions of learning. No Southern educational institution at the height of slavery could have ever conceived of systemically dedicating entire departments and fields of study to asserting why an entire race must be hated.

A range of academia from ‘Whiteness Studies’ to ‘Critical Race Theory’ does just that. Students can attend Harvard or Yale and come away with little else than the knowledge that white people are a primeval evil and that everything they have built must be destroyed. When they graduate, they find lucrative careers in the DEI industry, in the media, in entertainment and in academia…

Now she is finally leaving the party – and may be founding her own.

    ———-
she harshly criticizes the politically correct so-called woke culture of the contemporary left. She talks about a “lifestyle left” that has scared away the left’s traditional voters.

Lately, she has made herself even more hated by the party leadership by criticizing the arms shipments to Ukraine and the sanctions against Russia, which she considers harmful to the German economy and the working class.

Recently, Wagenknecth co-wrote a “peace manifesto” with author Alice Schwarzer, which was signed by over 700,000 people, including German academics, politicians, activists and intellectuals.

She also held a large anti-war demonstration in Berlin at the end of February.

Sahra Wagenknecth has finally announced that she is leaving Die Linke.

Rumors have been circulating for some time that she might form her own party, according to Remix News.

While she is hated by the Left Party leadership, she has been very popular among Left Party members, especially in eastern Germany.

Her popularity made the party leadership reluctant to take action against her for fear that the party would implode.

According to opinion polls by Kantar, a new party headed by Sahra Wagenknecht could get up to 19% of the vote, and she is described as one of the most popular politicians in Germany.

Sweden – can only dream of such a
    parliamentarian!

    • This has to be taken with more than just a little grain of salt. It’s a big, heavy stone, really. Sahra Wagenknecht was, is and remains a staunch socialist. That she is able to tell some uncomfortable truths which that pigsty of a party and the wokeness-deluded plebs can’t stand to hear, does not suddenly make her a potential saviour for us all. Her core values are firmly in enemy territory. If she manages to gain influence with a new leftist party, her admittedly superb capability will only make it much more dangerous than the suicidal chaos they are is now. She would be great to have on the side of liberty but this won’t happen.

  2. Ukraine war can only continue if other countries send their young people to die. There are almost no Ukrainian men left. They send disabled, old bearded men and teenage boys who barely fill the uniforms.
Wagner captured some and posted pictures.

    • All this is very sad.
In the morning when we go to work we listen to the radio.
“So many Ukrainian nationalists have been destroyed today…” they say in a cheerful voice. What terrible Orwellianism. I turn it off. I can’t handle this nightmare anymore.

  3. “The biggest age group to think the government wasn’t *authoritarian enough* during lockdown is young people aged 18-24. What the hell has happened to the ‘rebellious’ youth?”

Truth be told – the “youth” are always impressionable and as I am getting older, I’d move the voting age up to 40 or something, because the “under 30” guys are so easily swayed by group pressures and the mass media propaganda…

The “youth” are never rebellious without a cause, and even the “rebellion” of the 1960’s was a planned rebellion, IMHO, the goal of which was to destroy the western “christian patriarchy” – very much in the same way today “climate rebels” want to destroy “western industrial base”.
