President Biden’s Twitter account posted a questionable statistic on Saturday about how much tax Americans billionaires pay.

Fatal Shootings on Miami Beach’s Famed Ocean Drive Prompt City to Impose Spring Break Curfew

In what’s appearing to be an annual spring break ritual, Miami Beach, Florida, officials are imposing a curfew after two fatal shootings and rowdy crowds this weekend.

The two separate shootings Friday night and early Sunday on the popular Ocean Drive that left two people dead and “excessively large and unruly crowds” led to the decision, the release said. City officials didn’t provide further information when contacted by USA TODAY Sunday.

This is the third consecutive year that this South Florida vacation destination with more than 81,000 residents and traditionally favored among spring breakers has declared a curfew and state of emergency.

[…]

This year’s curfew starts at 11:59 p.m. Sunday and goes through 6 a.m. Monday. Another curfew likely will be in place this Thursday through Mon. March 27. Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber said the city commission has scheduled a meeting Monday afternoon to discuss further measures.

Gardner Museum Closes on 33rd Heist Anniversary Due to Climate Protest

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum remained closed on the 33rd anniversary of its infamous art heist after learning climate activists were planning to stage a “guerilla art installation” in the museum.

On Saturday, Extinction Rebellion Boston was set to hold a demonstration at the museum protesting biodiversity loss. The activist group had alerted local media of the plan with instructions not to release the information until 1 p.m. Saturday, but the museum apparently got wind of the plan earlier in the day and promptly shut its doors.

The museum released a statement saying the decision to close for the day was made out of an abundance of caution for the safety of staff, volunteers, visitors, and its art collection.

Gunfire Interrupts Memorial Service at Montco Cemetery, Killing a Philadelphia Man

Investigators believe a large group of people had gathered at the grave of 19-year-old Tyreek Fairel, who was fatally shot in Norristown in 2013, when shooting broke out among the group.

A memorial service for a slain man turned deadly Saturday as gunfire erupted at a Montgomery County cemetery, killing one man and leaving another seriously injured, Montgomery County authorities said.

Investigators believe a large group of people had gathered about 3 p.m. at a grave site to celebrate the birthday of 19-year-old Tyreek Fairel, who was fatally shot in Norristown in 2013 and buried at the Whitemarsh Memorial Park, on Limekiln Pike in Ambler.

Gunfire broke out within the group with more than 30 shots fired, police said, leaving one man — Daniel Elijah Hawkins, 29 — dead and injuring Arian Davis, 33. Both men are from Philadelphia.

Davis was taken to a local hospital with injuries to his jaw, hand and leg.

Lowes Introduces Surveillance Robots That Monitor License Plates, Mobile Devices, To Detect Repeat Offenders

Home improvement products retailer Lowe’s has started using security robots manufactured by Knightscope in four stores in Philadelphia.

The robots, K5’s — first launched in 2015 — are supposed to help the retailer collect evidence in case of criminal prosecutions, and act like “security guards.”

Even though the K5 can detect persons, has 16 microphones, and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), as well as sonar sensors, along with four 360-degree high definition wide angle cameras, it does not have facial recognition software baked into it.

(But Knightscope offers that feature — “seeing” a person, and knowing who it is — in the K1 Tower and KA Hemisphere models.)

Media Whitewashed Fetterman Health Issues During Election, Uncurious About Lengthy Absence From Capitol

Numerous media outlets insisted that questions about Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman’s health concerns after his stroke were much ado about nothing in the run-up to the 2022 midterm election, when he won of the country’s most fiercely contested Senate races.

Now, since he’s been hospitalized for weeks with depression, the tone of the media has been laudatory about his transparency and then mostly silent as questions emerge about how he’s running his office while recovering from serious health issues.

“Mental illness should not be covered any differently than any other illness,” Dr. Marc Siegel told Fox News Digital. “Having said that, the people of Pennsylvania are owed a senator… we certainly deserve more transparency here.”

North Carolina Anti-Rioting Bill to Become Law Without Gov. Roy Cooper’s Signature

A North Carolina bill, designed to increase penalties for rioting, will become law without the signature of Gov. Roy Cooper (D).

House Bill 40, a piece of legislation designed to create new penalties for inciting or participating in a riot, was presented to Cooper on March 10. Cooper explained in a statement he would neither sign nor veto the bill, having already vetoed similar legislation the previous year.

“I acknowledge that changes were made to modify this legislation’s effect after my veto of a similar bill last year,” he said. “Property damage and violence are already illegal and my continuing concerns about the erosion of the First Amendment and the disparate impacts on communities of color will prevent me from signing this legislation.”

The bill codifies new felony and misdemeanor charges for “[a]ny person who willfully engages in” or incites a riot. The charges vary in seriousness depending on whether certain thresholds for property damage are met, whether the person brandishes a weapon or uses a dangerous substance, and whether the person causes a death “in the course of the riot.”

As 20 Year Anniversary of Iraq War Arrives, Experts Say the Biden Admin is Not Leaving Any Time Soon

The Biden administration Pentagon has not signaled any effort to extract itself from Iraq despite a shift toward countering China that is largely reflected in rhetoric and the Pentagon’s budget proposals for the coming year, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

As March, 19-20 will mark 20 years after the U.S. invasion of Iraq that toppled dictator Saddam Hussein and was soon replaced with a war against terror, the government remains fragile, and the Islamic State (ISIS) and Iran-backed terrorist groups continually target U.S. troops, according to researchers at the American Enterprise Institute. U.S. troops stationed in Iraq are training government forces to prosecute a counterterrorism mission the Biden administration and some experts see as critical for American defense, but others said the Pentagon should better uphold pledges to focus resources on addressing the threat from Beijing.

U.S. military presence “is a security blanket for the government in Baghdad. It does absolutely nothing for American national security,” retired Lt. Col. Daniel Davis, a senior fellow and military expert at Defense Priorities, told the DCNF.

A Methodist Bible college in the U.K. fired a Christian theologian and threatened to report him as a terrorist because of his tweets in opposition to homosexuality, his attorneys claimed.

Dr. Aaron Edwards, who taught theology at Cliff College in Derbyshire, England, was dismissed from the school after being accused of “bringing the college into disrepute” on social media last month.

“Homosexuality is invading the church,” Edwards tweeted on Feb. 19. “Evangelicals no longer see the severity of this [because] they’re busy apologizing for their apparently barbaric homophobia, whether or not it’s true.”

Torture in the EU Paradise Garden
Kirill Fyodorov, a blogger from Latvia, told in an interview (see video below) how Latvian law enforcement officers tried to beat a confession out of him about “working for the FSB.”
“… I did not resist, but immediately raised my hands. I was thrown face down on the floor and kicked in the neck with shoes. As they say, everything was in the best tradition. In addition, I was called an enemy of the people and a traitor. I did not offer any resistance. At first I was only fixed. My father was locked up in the next room. Then they tried to disable Face ID on my phone. There were a lot of passwords there, which made them very angry. Then three fighters showed up and were told, “Okay, do it!”. They took me to another room and demanded that I confess to being an FSB agent and that I give them all the passwords. After that, they started torturing me with a stun gun. They put me on the floor and pulled up my shirt. First there was the first run. I felt uncomfortable. They lifted me up. Then the second approach. It took much longer. At the same time, they said they would not stop until I said what was required of them. On the third approach, I lost consciousness. Then I vaguely remember some wires being inserted into a socket and pressed against my lower back. At some point they realized I wasn’t doing well at all and called an ambulance. They told the doctors not to treat me too eagerly, the main thing was “not to let him die, he is an enemy of the people anyway.” That’s a quote. All this was heard by my father, who was locked up in the next room. Honestly, I can’t imagine how he got through it all.”

Paludan wants to burn the Koran in England

    Published on March 20, 2023

The Danish Islam critic Rasmus Paludan has announced that he will burn a Koran in England.

The Koran burning will take place in Wakefield in the north of England on Wednesday at the start of Ramadan.

Paludan announced it in a video that his Stram Kurs party has posted on social media.
    – “Ramadan in Wakefield will begin with the whorehouse going up in flames,” he says in the video.

Wakefield has been in the spotlight since a 14-year-old autistic boy received death threats after dropping a Koran on the floor, causing minor injuries. He had been allowed to take the book with him as punishment for losing a game of the computer game Call of Duty against other students.

The innocent incident led to rumors that the Koran had been desecrated or burned, and the school’s administration responded by suspending the four students involved, according to the Daily Mail.

The headmaster condemned the boys and the 14-year-old’s mother was forced to apologize to the Muslims.
According to Stram Kurs, the Koran burning will be carried out in cooperation with the local police and the local authorities.

  3. Rasmus Paludan coming to England, that’s great!
How is he going to cme here though? Using visaa?

I’d love to see him coming to West Midlands :).

    • Perhaps in a dinghy.
