US Bankruptcy Filings Surge at Fastest Pace Since 2009
For the past year, both the Biden White House and the Fed have been desperate to usher in a (mild) recession in the US to break the back of runaway inflation and the wage-price spiral with little success. But judging by the surge in bankruptcy filings, they are about to get their wish.
One month ago, when looking at the recent pace of large bankruptcy filings (those with more than $50MM in liabilities), we noted a troubling trend: in the first month of the year, the number of US bankruptcies topped 20, the highest in any other January dating back to 2010. Back then, 25 filings were seen as the economy was still reeling from the aftermath of the GFC.
The spike in defaults was not a fluke, and according to Bloomberg data, one month later — as of the end of February — no less than 39 large companies had filed for bankruptcy in the US so far this year, as February’s pace matches that of January; the YTD total represents the fastest pace of companies filing for bankruptcy since the immediate aftermath of the global financial crisis in 2009. By comparison, US bankruptcy courts had seen 63 large filings at this point in 2009.

Animals Dying Across Ohio State Parks After East Palestine Train Derailment
After a catastrophic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, early last month, President Biden, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, corporate media outlets, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Environmental Protection Agency, and some local officials have ensured air monitoring and water sample tests show everything is under control.

A homeless man was recently indicted for the deadly December stabbing of a grandmother in Buckhead, an Atlanta suburb gunning to secede from the Democrat-run city over soaring violent crime.
Antonio Brown, 23, was indicted by a Fulton County grand jury last week on 12 counts, including murder and armed robbery, in connection to the death of 77-year-old Eleanor Bowles, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.
Bowles was found dead with “multiple lacerations” Dec. 10 in the detached garage next to her home on Paces West Terrace. Police believe the woman caught Brown sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. while he was attempting to steal her 2021 Lexus RX 350, the Atlanta Constitution Journal reported.

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown, leader of one of the nation’s largest police agencies, announced his resignation Wednesday.
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot released a statement saying Brown informed her of his departure Wednesday.

East Palestine Train Derailment Site Workers Are Getting Sick, Union Says
A U.S. union official alerted the Biden administration to health problems caused by the Norfolk Southern derailment in February, saying that some workers have become sick.
In a letter obtained by CNBC, union representative Jonathon Long said Wednesday that rail workers have fallen ill at the East Palestine, Ohio, crash site.
“Many other Employees reported that they continue to experience migraines and nausea, days after the derailment, and they all suspect that they were willingly exposed to these chemicals at the direction of NS [Norfolk Southern],” the letter reads.

Georgia Officials Confronted With Key Questions as Wealthy Atlanta Suburb Pushes to Secede
A move within one of Atlanta’s wealthiest suburbs to secede and become its own city was dealt a setback when Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s administration raised concerns, saying it could violate state laws.
Kemp executive counsel David Dove outlined around two dozen questions about the constitutionality of the two bills that passed a state Senate committee this week that could allow residents of the Buckhead area to vote on whether they want to split from Atlanta, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
In a memo, he wrote that they “demand evaluation for the unique constitutional and statutory challenges they pose.” He also called on lawmakers to resolve the issues before moving forward.

Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted sex trafficking accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell has been thrown into solitary confinement in her Florida prison, according to reports.
Maxwell was reportedly taken to solitary confinement by authorities at the Federal Correctional Institute Tallahassee after she declared that dead pedophile Epstein “was murdered.”
She was allegedly punished over a recorded jailhouse interview that aired in January.

Kari Lake Files Election Integrity Case With the Arizona Supreme Court
Former GOP Arizona Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake announced Wednesday that she had filed her election integrity case with the Arizona Supreme Court.
“We filed our Historic Election Integrity case with the Arizona Supreme Court,” Lake tweeted Wednesday. “Pray for our Attorneys. Pray for the Judges. Pray for Justice. Pray for America.”
Since losing to current Arizona Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs, Lake has contested the results of the 2022 election in court, arguing that thousands of Republican voters were disproportionately disenfranchised on Election Day, when voting machine errors occurred in at least 60% of the voting centers in Maricopa County.
Lake vowed to appeal to the state’s top court after losing at the appellate level.
The appeals court ruling determined that voters were able to cast their ballots and votes were counted properly.

Multiple Officers Shot, Police in Standoff in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — A 12-hour standoff remained ongoing Wednesday morning after multiple officers were shot in Kansas City, Missouri, Tuesday night.
The Kansas City Police Department said the incident started after 9:30 p.m. in the area of E. 23rd Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard.
Chief Stacey Graves said officers were executing a search warrant when they opened the door and were met with gunfire.
Officers returned gunfire, but it was unknown if anyone else was injured, according to Graves.
Graves said three male officers were shot during the standoff, but their injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening. She said she had spoken with the the officers, who were awake and alert.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol will be taking over the shooting investigation.

New Orleans Residents Warn ‘Don’t Sit in Your Car’ as Carjackings Spike a Shocking 165%
NEW ORLEANS — Carjackings in the Big Easy have skyrocketed over the last three years, more than doubling since before the COVID-19 pandemic, according to city data.
New Orleans has grappled with increased violent crime in the last few years. It had the most homicides per capita among major U.S. cities in September, earning it the title as the nation’s murder capital before being unseated by the year’s end. And the city’s homicide rate has doubled since 2019, according to the New Orleans City Council’s crime dashboard.
And carjackings soared, increasing 165% over a three-year period, the dashboard shows. There were 273 incidents last year compared to 103 in 2019.

New Polls Show Trump Bump, Widening Lead Over DeSantis With GOP Voters
Former President Donald Trump is gaining support from Republican voters and widening his lead over potential 2024 candidate Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, according to four new polls.
Trump received 55% of the hypothetical 2024 GOP primary vote, more than twice that of DeSantis, who received 25%, according to an Emerson College poll released Tuesday. A poll from Emerson last month showed that Trump led DeSantis 55%-29%.
The latest Emerson poll also showed that Trump would beat President Joe Biden in the 2024 general election at 46% to 42%. DeSantis would lose to Biden by 4%.

A Pennsylvania man was arrested after attempting to bring an explosive device on a flight on Feb. 27.
Marc Muffley, 40, was arrested by FBI agents on Monday night after he allegedly attempted to bring an explosive device onto an Allegiant Airlines flight from Lehigh Valley International Airport headed to Orlando Sanford International Airport on Feb. 27.
After staff with Allegiant Airlines checked Muffley’s bag, TSA agents were alerted to the “presence of suspicious items,” an affidavit states.

Pentagon Investigates, Gives All Clear Over Ukraine Fraud Allegations
There is no evidence any of the billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars spent on weapons and aid sent to Ukraine has been lost to corruption or diverted into criminal hands, the Pentagon’s inspector general said Tuesday, before adding investigations are still at an early stage.

The Brookings Institution appears to be taking not only podcasting, but also “the war on podcasting” very seriously indeed.
A huge write-up (presented as the result of a research) published on the organization’s website this February, accuses some podcasters, especially those labeled as “political,” of spreading disinformation pretty much unchecked.
In order to find “misinformation” in podcasts and determine its scope, the authors say they turned to “AI” and at the same time issued a call to tech companies and regulators to “meet this challenge” — one of “greater transparency across the board — in terms of content moderation practices, financial disclosures, and algorithmic amplification by podcasting apps.”

Second Circuit is Asked to Strike Down Restrictions to Connecticut Attorneys’ Speech
NCLA — the New Civil Liberties Alliance — says it has asked the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to annul a new rule that the non-profit sees as “muzzling Connecticut attorneys.”
The NCLA, a civil rights group, got involved in the Cerame v. Bowler case by filing an opening brief with the Court of Appeals. The dispute stems from an update to the Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct, which are challenged by Connecticut attorneys Mario Cerame and Tim Moynahan, on speech grounds.

Senate Kills Biden ESG Investment Rule in Stunning Rebuke
The Senate on Wednesday passed a disapproval resolution, formally killing a Biden administration Department of Labor rule that encourages private retirement plan fiduciaries to consider environment, social and governance (ESG) factors when making investment decisions for over 150 million Americans.
The measure, which only required a simple majority to pass, passed the threshold in a 50-46 vote. The House of Representatives passed it Tuesday in a 216-204 vote, with only one Democrat voting for the bill.

Senate Unanimously Votes to Declassify Wuhan Lab Leak Intelligence
The Senate on Wednesday unanimously voted in favor of a bill mandating that the Biden administration declassify intelligence materials involving the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Republican Sens. Mike Braun, Ind., and Josh Hawley, Mo., reintroduced the measure following a report from the Department of Energy concluding that the virus was likely the result of a lab leak, the Epoch Times reported.

Tampa Man Pleads Guilty to Attempting to Provide Material Support to ISIS
Tampa, Florida — United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Muhammed Momtaz Al-Azhari (26, Tampa) has pleaded guilty to attempting to provide material support or resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization, namely, the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (“ISIS”). Pursuant to the terms of his plea agreement, Al-Azhari and the United States have agreed to the imposition of a stipulated sentence of 18 years in federal prison. Al-Azhari has also agreed to forfeit certain assets that are traceable to proceeds of the offense, as well as various items of property, including gear involved in, or intended to be used to commit the offense.
According to the plea agreement, Al-Azhari is a United States citizen who spent most of his life abroad and came to embrace dogmatic, Islamist/Salafist beliefs. In or around 2015, Al-Azhari was convicted of advocating for Jaysh al-Islam, an armed Islamist group then participating in the Syrian conflict, in Saudi Arabia. Al-Azhari spent approximately three years in Saudi Arabian custody, after which he was removed to the United States. Upon Al-Azhari’s arrival to the United States, in or around December 2018, the FBI began investigating him for potentially providing material support to ISIS, which, at all relevant times, was designated as a foreign terrorist organization under federal law.
In or around April 2020, Al-Azhari began planning to carry out an attack in support of ISIS.

Social media giant Twitter reversed a short-lived suspension on Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee’s personal account on Wednesday.
Lee announced his suspension via his official account, @SenMikeLeee, saying “My personal Twitter account — @BasedMikeLee — has been suspended. Twitter did not alert me ahead of time, nor have they yet offered an explanation for the suspension. My team and I are seeking answers.”
Hours later, Lee regained access to his @BasedMikeLee account by mid-afternoon, announcing his return via that handle.

US State Department Funded Website Blacklist of Outlets That Reported Lab Leak Theory
After the way authorities handled the Covid pandemic ended up laying waste to lives, businesses, economies, and ushering in previously unseen levels of government control, and as it turned out, government-sponsored censorship of the world’s major social platforms, a key question — what is coronavirus and how did the pandemic occur, remains a point of contention.

Greece Train Crash Kills Dozens, Minister Resigns, Station Manager Arrested
Update (1050ET):
Greek Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis announced that he would resign hours after the horrific train crash.
“When something this tragic occurs, we can’t go on as if nothing had happened,” Karamanlis said in a statement.
“It’s a fact that we inherited the Greek railway in a state that is not fitting for the 21st century.
“In those three and a half years we made every effort to improve this reality. Unfortunately, those efforts were not adequate to avert such a tragedy,” he added.
According to local authorities, a station manager has been taken into custody in relation to the crash, and a preliminary inquiry is currently ongoing. However, the individual’s identity has not been revealed.
WSJ quoted local officials who said, “the death is the highest for a train crash in Greece since at least the mid-1960s.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, at least 38 people have been confirmed dead, and more than 80 injured.

Man Suspected of Cannibalism Detained at Airport After Police Found ‘Pieces of Meat’ in Suitcase
Portuguese authorities arrested a Brazilian man as he passed through an airport carrying a suitcase filled with pieces of meat, suspecting him of committing acts of cannibalism.

A young female student who refused to enter an arranged marriage was brutally murdered by her uncle with a metal spike in her chest in a suspected ‘honour killing,’ a court has heard.
Somaiya Begum was found with the 11cm-long ‘Bradawl’ tool — a sharpened metal woodwork implement — stuck in the right side of her chest.

The ugly truth behind the virtue signaling was that Ben & Jerry’s depended on migrant labor to make its overpriced ice cream. A year before Trump took office, the progressive company faced protests by migrant workers who spoke of having to live in barns without heat during the Vermont winter while milking cows at midnight and being injured by exploding glass milk bottles.
Ben & Jerry’s claimed that it supported open borders because of the company’s “social mission” and “values”. Those values were measured in the dollar and cents bottom line. The milk that went into the company’s ice cream depended on the cheap labor of those same migrants. Open borders wasn’t an abstraction, it was a steady source of labor to be churned into ice cream…

A man was thrown off a train platform after he was attacked by African migrants demanding he give them cigarettes in Germany last week, according to reports.

Homelessness Up Over a Quarter in England as Govt Puts Up Thousands of Migrants in Hotels
The number of homeless people sleeping on the streets of England has risen by over a quarter over the previous year at the same time as that the government is spending billions on housing illegal migrants in hotels across the country.

Italian prosecutors have revealed that people smugglers charged migrants as much as 8,000 euros each for a voyage that led to the deaths of dozens of people as a fishing boat sank off the Italian coast.

Salvini Slams Left-Wing Media for Accusing Italian Coastguard of Letting Migrants Die

A total of 49 tenants are to be evicted from a private residential apartment building in the Swiss town of Windisch to make way for refugees after an agreement was reached between the private owner and state government.
The current residents, many of whom are reported by Swiss newspaper Le Matin to be “socially disadvantaged,” began to receive eviction notices on Feb. 24, informing them of the need to leave their homes after an agreement was reached to transform the residential building into an accommodation center for asylum seekers.

Tiny UK Patriot Outfit Maps Immivader Garrisons. Why No US Equivalent?
For some time, an enterprising U.K. patriotic outfit LittleBoats2020, which seems to exist only on Twitter and Gab without a website, has been posting a remarkable interactive map. This tracks the (rather high end) hotels into which the U.K. Government has been stashing the immivaders it has been treasonously allowing to cross the English Channel in, of course, small boats.
Moving the cursor down the sidebar listing the 465 hotels LittleBoats2020 has confirmed are being used like this causes the pins on the map to adjust. Those familiar with Britain will see that a great many of these are located in remote (by UK standards) rural communities. The Government apparently has declared a policy of trying to “disperse” the immivaders.
This has the effect of dumping significant garrisons of fighting— age young men (who comprise virtually all the arrivals) in communities where they amount to an intimidating presence. American College of Ob-Gyns Bans Pro-Life Doctors From Conference: ‘Vague Explanation’
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the United States’ premiere professional organization for gynecologists and obstetricians, barred a group of pro-life doctors from setting up a booth at their annual conference this week.
The American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG), the group that wanted to share their message regarding their stance against abortion, had been permitted to host a booth at the conference for 15 years prior to the incident.

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland over the FBI raid on a pro-life Christian man and asked whether the Department of Justice (DOJ) had an “anti-Catholic bias.”
“Our department protects all religions, all ideologies. It does not have any bias against any religion of any kind,” Garland said, fielding the question from Hawley during Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

UNESCO Propagates ‘Regulation of the Internet’
Censorship of “disinformation” and “hate speech” would protect human rights, freedom of expression and democracy, says UNESCO director Audrey Azoulay.
The UN has long been committed to taking action against “hate speech” and “disinformation” on the Internet. The unelected organization, whose main mission is to facilitate conflict resolution around the world and to provide peacekeeping and humanitarian aid in war zones, has enjoyed acting as a mouthpiece for elite groups such as the World Economic Forum (WEF).
What is new is that one of its special organizations, UNESCO, which is supposed to deal with international education, science and culture or the protection of world heritage in the form of monuments or natural areas, is now propagating its own “guidelines” for regulating alleged hate speech and misinformation, in order to protect “human rights, freedom of expression and democracy”.

‘Woke’ Teacher Accused of Forcing 5th-Grade Student to be Transgender: ‘I Wanna Kill Myself’
A 5th-grade student in New York says she’s suicidal after allegedly being forced to “identify” as transgender by her “woke” teacher.
Debra Rosenquist, a teacher at Terryville Road Elementary School in Port Jefferson Station on Long Island, is accused of forcing a 9-year-old girl to “identify” as a boy at school.
The family of the child, who is now 10, is suing the school and the teacher for forcing transgenderism onto the unidentified young girl during the 2021-2022 academic year.
According to a lawsuit from the child’s parents, she was failed by the school system at every level.
The suit says administrators made a concerted effort to keep the family in the dark about what was happening to the young girl.

World Health Organization is Getting Closer to Being Granted Expanded Surveillance Powers
Last week, a WHO working group reviewed proposed amendments to an international law that would allow the global health agency and its member states to expand and coordinate surveillance during times of “international health risk.”
These proposed amendments would add several new surveillance provisions to the International Health Regulations (2005) — an international law that dictates some aspects of health emergency response for 196 countries.

World Health Organization Pushes for Global Vaccine Passports
The WHO laid out its plans for global vaccine passports in a series of proposed amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005) — a legally binding instrument that imposes various conditions on 196 countries when the WHO declares certain types of health emergencies.
As governments around the world wind down their vaccine passport programs, the unelected World Health Organization (WHO) is attempting to make this Covid-era surveillance tech permanent and global.

Only countries doing research on mRNA vaccine side effects and deaths are Germany and Japan. Both seem to have introduced robust independent medical review bodies and policies which may be because both have a history in WW2 of medical experiments on humans. We all know about the German experiments on concentration camp inmates but the Japanese experiments are in a Japanese documentary shown on RT. The Japanese have a lot of guilt they still feel from that. It then feeds into their cultural honour system.
Lucky for us or no one would be doing anything and it would all be swept under the big pharma rug.
