Wall St. Journal Report Says You Should Stop Eating to Save Money
The Wall Street Journal published a report today that suggests Americans should combat economic strife by only eating two meals per day.
It sounds like a Babylon Bee story, but less amusing.
Eggs, cereals, fruit and coffee are among the foods that have rocketed in price the most, and so perhaps breakfast should just be consigned to the dustbin of history, according to the report.

Astronomers Marvel at ‘Perfect Explosion,’ a Spherical Cosmic Fireball
WASHINGTON, Feb 15 (Reuters) — Astronomers have observed what might be the “perfect explosion,” a colossal and utterly spherical blast triggered by the merger of two very dense stellar remnants called neutron stars shortly before the combined entity collapsed to form a black hole.
Researchers on Wednesday described for the first time the contours of the type of explosion, called a kilonova, that occurs when neutron stars merge. The rapidly expanding fireball of luminous matter they detailed defied their expectations.
The two neutron stars, with a combined mass about 2.7 times that of our sun, had orbited each other for billions of years before colliding at high speeds and exploding. This unfolded in a galaxy called NGC 4993, about 140-150 million light years away from Earth in the direction of the constellation Hydra. A light year is the distance light travels in a year, 5.9 trillion miles (9.5 trillion km).
The existence of kilonova explosions was proposed in 1974 and confirmed in 2013, but what they looked like was unknown until this one was detected in 2017 and studied intensively.

Chicago Dad Placed on Watchlist After Opposing Pornography in Schools
Authored by Joseph Lord via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours)
A Chicago father has learned that he has been placed on a flight watchlist after opposing pornographic materials in his kids’ schools.
Over the summer of 2021, Terry Newsome—who described himself in comments to the Epoch Times as a “lifelong Democrat” until recently—was one of several parents in the 99th school district of Downer’s Grove, Chicago, who expressed opposition to books in his children’s library that had sexually explicit and pornographic content.
In December, Newsome discovered he had been placed on a watchlist.
On Dec. 16, 2022, he and his family attempted to board a plane en route to Turning Point USA’s “America Fest” convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
Newsome, who travels a great deal for work, was shocked to learn that he had been placed on a watchlist and had to get substantially more screening before being allowed to board, causing him to miss his original flight.

I’m a Physician and the Ohio Train Derailment Has Created a Serious Public Health Crisis
OPINION By Nicole Saphier, M.D.
Two weeks ago, at 9 pm on February 3, a freight train operated by Norfolk Southern derailed in Ohio.
Two days after the derailment, news of a Chinese spy balloon on a surveillance flight across the United States captivated the nation, so the catastrophe did not receive significant media attention.
It should have.
The freight train with 150 cars derailed in the town of East Palestine, population 4,700. Twenty of the train’s cars were carrying hazardous materials resulting in a chemical catastrophe. Local residents are now being told it is safe to go home.
I am not so confident.

Ohio Mom Blasts Biden EPA Official for Defending Train Derailment Response: ‘We Are Forgotten About”

Ohio Train Crash Leaves Small Town in Fear of Toxic Fallout
Anxious residents are still demanding answers 12 days after a train carrying toxic chemicals derailed in the small Ohio town of East Palestine.
“It’s pretty dramatic right now,” said James Figley, who lives just blocks from the derailment site. “The whole town’s in an uproar.”
Mr Figley, a 63-year-old graphic designer, was sitting on his sofa on the night of 3 February when he heard the horrifying sound of metal screeching to a halt. He and his wife got in the car to investigate, and discovered a hellish scene.
“There were a series of explosions, continuing, and the smell was getting to be horrendous,” Mr Figley said.
“If you ever burn plastic in your backyard, and [get] that black smoke? That was it,” he said. “It was black, just black. You could tell it was a chemical smell. Burning your eyes. It could get really bad if you were downwind.”
Fires sprung up from the accident, panicking residents who lived just blocks away.
Days later, a toxic pillar of smoke towered over the town, as officials burned off a dangerous chemical known as vinyl chloride before it could explode.
Over the next few days, dead fish appeared in the creeks — thousands of them, officials later confirmed. People nearby told local media that their chickens died suddenly, their foxes panicked, and their pets fell ill. Residents complained of headaches, burning eyes and sore throats.

Biden Willing to Let Germans Freeze in Blowing Up Pipeline: Seymour Hersh Interview
Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh in a fresh interview with Germany’s Berliner Zeitung newspaper which follows up on his bombshell reporting How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline, has provided more context to the Biden White House’s decision-making behind the brazen, high-risk covert op.
“The President of the United States would rather see Germany freeze than [see] Germany possibly stop supporting Ukraine,” Hersh asserted.
He explained that in reality the Ukraine conflict was “not going well for the West” and that it’s important to remember that Stream 2 “was put on hold by Germany itself, not international sanctions, and the US was afraid Germany would lift sanctions because of a cold winter.”
That’s when the legendary investigative journalist emphasized:
“The point is that Biden has decided to let the Germans freeze this winter. The President of the United States would rather see Germany freeze than [see] Germany possibly stop supporting Ukraine.”
Hersh has also in a fresh update to his Substack teased that more details are coming based on his sources. “Stay tuned,” he said. “We are only on first base…” — writing that:
“There may be more to learn about Joe Biden’s decision to prevent the German government from having second thoughts about the lack of cheap gas this winter.”

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on Drugs
by Daniel Greenfield
“I use psychedelic drugs to deepen my DEI practice,” writes Steven Huang, a diversity consultant who urges CEOs to get high.
DEI stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Every corporation has gone DEI. Some call it racism, others call it a cult, and some have taken the racist cult to an exciting new place.
At his DEI firm, Huang “seeks to leverage the power of psychedelics to inspire a generation of leaders to interrogate systems of oppression.”
This is DEI. This is DEI on drugs.
“So what does Black History Month look like in the psychedelics ecosystem?” he asked. “From the lens of a social justice warrior operating within a ‘corporate’ psychedelic system… it’s a lot to process,”
Huang then pitched “black-Centered MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy, Addressing Racial Trauma” through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies.
MAPS advocates the use of psychedelic drugs to treat trauma. One of its favorites is MDMA, methylenedioxymethamphetamine, better known as ‘ecstasy’ or ‘molly’, and previous efforts by MAPS to use it to help people suffering from PTSD, ended in therapists being caught on video groping a sexual assault victim who was getting therapy with the hallucinogenic rape drug.
One of the therapists was apparently a disciple of Salvador Roquet, a Mexican shrink known as “the master of bad trips”, who was accused of torturing dissidents by dosing them with psychedelics, blasting Wagner symphonies, displaying pictures painted by the inmates of an insane asylum, and reciting, “I am a cat and you are a mouse” to the patient.
That’s a whole lot to process…

NORTH STREAM SABOTAGE
Kremlin:
US should prove it was not behind it The US should try to prove that it was not behind the Nord Stream blasts. The Russian embassy in the US says so in a statement, according to Reuters. Moscow considers the September sabotage on the Baltic Sea “an act of international terrorism” and will not allow it to be swept under the carpet, the embassy says.
It cites an audit by journalist Seymour Hersh, which said it was the US that blew up the Nord Stream pipelines in collaboration with Norway.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also mentions the role of Sweden and Denmark in the affair.
– The countries have not responded to official letters from Russia’s government minister Mikhail Mishustin in six months, asking to designate those responsible for contacts regarding the attacks on Nord Stream, Lavrov said, according to the AP news agency.

The CIA NordStream Blast Story Was ‘Not Hard to Find’
FEBRUARY 14, 2023 GEOPOLITICS
Media outlets like the NYT and WaPo “don’t seem to have anyone inside” among their sources, Seymour Hersh claims.
Legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh claimed on Saturday that his latest bombshell report, which suggests the CIA was responsible for the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines in September, was not a hard story to find. It was obvious that there was more to the issue than was being reported by most media outlets, Hersh said.
In his first interview since he published the story on Substack last Wednesday, the Pulitzer-prize winning journalist was asked by Radio War Nerd to comment on his source for the story, who still remains anonymous.
Hersh refused to expose any details about who he spoke to and noted that it was his job to protect his sources and take the heat when a story went live. But those within the media who criticize him for using anonymous sources should “understand the business a little better,” the journalist suggested.
“The problem is, it’s all been cheapened. Because now the New York Times and the Washington Post think an unnamed source can be a press guy, a press secretary, that whispers something to them on the side. I don’t know, they don’t seem to have anyone inside,” Hersh said.
He also noted that major news outlets are failing to report a lot of things about the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev. “The war I know about is not the war you’re reading about,” Hersh observed.
“It’s amazing to me how they fall in line, my colleagues,” he added, lamenting that many outlets such as the NYT, WP, CNN and MSN have become a front for the White House and the Biden administration.
As for the Nord Stream expose, Hersh insisted it was “not a hard story to find” and that it was obvious that some NATO country was involved, especially after top US officials, including President Joe Biden, issued clear threats that the Russian-German project would be stopped “one way or another” if Moscow chose to send troops to Ukraine back in February 2022.
Hersh also pointed out that the entire international pipeline industry knew “who did what” and that this was a reality that “nobody thinks about.” “But I did, so there you are,” he concluded.
The White House, as well as officials from the CIA and State Department, have all vehemently dismissed Hersh’s report since it was published. Moscow, meanwhile, has called for an open international investigation into the attack, saying it was “impossible to leave this without finding the perpetrators and punishing them.”

US openly admits it blew up Nord Stream – Russian FM
The pipelines were sabotaged because Washington saw Russian-German cooperation as a threat, Sergey Lavrov has claimed

US officials are basically admitting that they were behind the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, which was perpetrated to prevent rapprochement between Moscow and Berlin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
“The US decided that we [Russia] have been cooperating too well with Germany over the past 20 or 30 years; or rather, the Germans cooperated with us too well,” he said in an interview published on the Foreign Ministry’s website on Sunday.
The “powerful alliance” based on Russian energy resources and German technology “began to threaten the monopoly position of many American corporations,” Lavrov explained.
So, Washington decided to destroy this alliance between Moscow and Berlin, and did it “literally” by attacking the pipelines, which were built to deliver Russian gas to Europe through Germany, he added.
“American officials are basically admitting that the explosions that occurred at Nord Stream 1 and 2 were their doing. They even speak about it with joy,” the foreign minister stated.
Lavrov was likely referring to a confession made by US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland during a Senate hearing in late January. “I am, and I think the administration is, very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now… a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea,” she said at that time.
“The vileness of Western politicians is well known,” Lavrov continued, suggesting that “the plan, which is now being implemented through ‘inciting’ Ukraine against Russia and waging a war by the entire West against Russia by means of Ukraine, is to a large extent aimed at preventing a new rapprochement between Germany and Russia.”
Viktoria “F*** the EU” Nuland
The comments by Russia’s top diplomat come just days after iconic American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh released a bombshell report blaming Washington for sabotaging the Nord Stream pipelines last year.
According to an informed source who talked to Hersh, explosives were planted at the pipelines in the Baltic Sea back in June 2022 by US Navy divers under the guise of a NATO exercise. They were detonated in late September, rendering the key European energy infrastructure inoperable.
US National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson denied the report by the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, calling it “utterly false and complete fiction.” No one among high-ranking American officials has even commented on the accusations made by Hersh.

This a brief combat report from the battlefield here and abroad in the aftermath of the release last Wednesday of my story about Joe Biden’s decision to blow up the Nord Stream pipelines.
First, many thanks for your interest in what the pipeline story was all about: a very dangerous Presidential decision. You are careful readers.
I’m an old hand at dropping bombshell stories that are based on the disclosures of sources I do not, and cannot, name. There is a pattern to the response by the mainstream media. It dates back to my breakthrough story: the My Lai massacre revelation. That story was published in five installments, over five weeks in 1969, by the underground media group Dispatch News. I had tried to get the two most important magazines in America, Life and Look, to publish the story, with no success. Editors at both publications had earlier invited me to do some freelance writing for them, but they wanted nothing to do with a story about a massacre committed by American soldiers.
It was a frightening time for me, in terms of my faith in the profession I had chosen. I was allowed to read and copy by hand much of the Army’s original charge sheet accusing a sad sack 2nd Lieutenant named William L. Calley Jr. of the premeditated murder of 109 “Oriental” human beings. I also had tracked Calley, the Army’s only suspect, and interviewed him at a base in Georgia—he was tucked away—and gotten his assertion that he was merely doing what he was ordered to do. Given all this, I was more than a little rattled—make that terrified—by the failure of senior editors at prominent magazines to jump at a story that would get international attention, especially when those editors professed to deplore the war and want it to end.

On the one hand I say that people living in a country should do some service.
Nothing is free and if you want to have free speech you must be willing to fight for it.
But now I am against this service because before you can say “Bohoo” the german government will send german soldiers to Ukraine.
And I have absolutely no interest dying for Annalena and Co!
Give them uniforms and guns and let them fight. I dont care about their lives as they dont care about my live (prices are going through the roof, they demand we lower the use of gasoline and gas).
They intrude into my life like dictators. If they want to live vegan and like the 1500 – they should do it themselves but not force me or anybody else to do it.
If you want to curtail free speech you must be willing to fight for it.
Time for the return of the Kaiser.
