Central Bank Chief Forecasts Single Digit Inflation by End of Next Year in Poland

The head of Poland’s central bank, Adam Glapinski, was in reassurance mode after the Monetary Policy Council (RPP) decided to not raise interest rates.

At a press conference, Glapinski predicted inflation would begin to slow down by the end of the first quarter and would reach single digits by the end of the year. He added that although the rate of increase of Poland’s GDP was likely to slow to near zero, a recession or hyperinflation were unlikely.

He still acknowledged that inflation could rise in the first two months of 2023.

Glapinski’s assessment of the international economic outlook was that there will be a recession in Germany. He felt Poland, however, would avoid recession and record GDP growth at around 0.7 percent. That would likely be one of the best results in the EU.

Wall Street Falls as US Inflation Slows But Remains Hot

NEW YORK — A choppy day of trading on Wall Street ended with stocks broadly lower Friday, after a new report showed that inflation is slowing less than hoped just days before Federal Reserve officials are expected to raise interest rates again.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq composite each fell 0.7%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.9%. Smaller company stocks fell even more, pulling the Russell 2000 index 1.2% lower. The indexes marked their first losing week in the last three.

The U.S. government reported that prices paid at the wholesale level were 7.4% higher in November than a year earlier. That’s a slowdown from October’s wholesale inflation rate of 8.1%, but it was still slightly worse than economists expected.

Cops Are Fleeing New York City for Better Pay: Report

More officers departed the NYPD from January through November 2022 than during that period in any year since 2002, according to New York City Police Pension Fund data cited by The New York Times.

Roughly 3,200 NYPD officers retired or otherwise left in the first eleven months of this year, a 20-year record, the outlet reported. Approximately 1,225 officers in their first five years on the force resigned, surpassing such resignations in 2021 and 2020 by nearly 40% and 257% respectively.

The wave of NYPD resignations comes as the department continues to grapple with violent crime. Year-to-date robbery, felony assault and burglary complaints through Dec 4. all rose in 2022 compared to the previous year, with transit crime increasing by more than 30%, NYPD statistics show.

Twitter’s Chief Censor Met Weekly With US Intelligence Officials While Trump Was in Office, Internal Comms Reveal

Twitter’s former Head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth, had weekly meetings with the FBI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) at least as far back as 2020, when former President Donald Trump was still in office, internal communications between Twitter staff obtained by journalist Matt Taibbi Friday reveal.

Yoel participated in one such weekly meeting shortly after the company’s moderation team was thrown into a crisis following its decision to suppress an October 2020 New York Post story concerning a laptop owned by Hunter Biden, according to Taibbi. Roth appeared to explicitly ask the government officials in the meeting to “share anything useful” concerning the laptop story, but they apparently declined to do so.

Twitter Files Part 3 Reveals What Led to Trump’s Removal From Social Media Platform

This article will update as the story develops…

The third installment of Elon Musk’s Twitter Files delved into what led to the removal of former President Trump’s account.

In “part one” of the third installment, which dates from October 2020-January 6th, Substack writer Matt Taibbi told his followers, “We’ll show you what hasn’t been revealed: the erosion of standards within the company in months before J6, decisions by high-ranking executives to violate their own policies, and more, against the backdrop of ongoing, documented interaction with federal agencies.”

“Whatever your opinion on the decision to remove Trump that day, the internal communications at Twitter between January 6th-January 8th have clear historical import. Even Twitter’s employees understood in the moment it was a landmark moment in the annals of speech,” Taibbi wrote on Friday.

He then shared a screenshot of a Twitter employee asking, “Is this the first sitting head of state to ever be suspended?”

White House: Brittney Griner an ‘Important Inspiration’ to ‘Woke’ Americans

The White House has defended Democrat President Joe Biden’s prisoner swap deal to exchange American WNBA star Brittney Griner for dangerous Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, also known as the “Merchant of Death.”

The move has provoked a widespread backlash after it was revealed that Biden agreed to the deal, despite it not including U.S. Marine veteran Paul Whelan.

As Slay News reported, the initial negations were for Russia to release both Griner and Whelan in exchange for Bout.

Whelen, who worked as a security expert, was jailed on espionage charges after being arrested in Moscow in 2018.

After she was caught trying to leave Russia with cannabis in her bag, Giner pleaded guilty to drug smuggling charges and was sentenced to serve nine years in a brutal Russian labor camp.

However, Biden agreed to the deal this week which saw Griner released in exchange for Bout while Whelan was left behind.

During Thursday’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended Biden’s prisoner swap.

She argued that it was more “important” to bring Griner home because she’s an “inspiration” to “woke” Americans.

Hamilton-Area Students Ignore New School Mask Rule

Despite a new mask rule being introduced at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) earlier this week, hardly any students are following it and there has even been anti-mask graffiti sprayed at schools.

HWDSB trustees voted 10-3 on Monday night in support of what they call a “temporary universal masking requirement”, the only such rule throughout Ontario.

In response, some schools in the area have been hit with anti-mask graffiti and the vast majority of students still choose not to wear masks, sources tell True North.

Air Pollution is Just as Dangerous as Coronavirus, Claims UK Lockdown Architect

The British public needs to change their behaviour in order to reduce air pollution because it is as dangerous as the coronavirus, England’s Fauci equivalent has said.

Dr Chris Whitty, who led the government’s response during the Chinese coronavirus crisis along similar lines to Anthony Fauci in America, has warned that air pollution is as big of a health risk to the public as the virus, the Daily Mail reported.

“You have no choice about the air you breathe, when you go outside, when you walk down the road, when you go into public buildings, or come back to and therefore it’s quite important that the government takes it seriously and it has done so,” England’s Chief Medical Officer said in his annual report.

Austria: Vienna School Sorts Classes According to Religious Affiliation

This has no social but an administrative background, the school insisted. Parents however fear a social division of pupils based on their religion.

A grammar school in Vienna’s Donaustadt district includes the religious beliefs of its pupils as a decisive factor in the composition of classes. This was reported by a concerned mother who spoke to the Austrian daily Krone. She had heard rumours that the classes of the lower school are sorted according to religious belief and confronted the director of the grammar school on the open day.

Austria Blocks Two EU Nations’ Bid to Join Schengen Zone

Romania and Bulgaria, however, have once again failed to join the zone, which primarily consists of EU states, as well as countries such as Switzerland, Norway and Iceland. Their bids, which required unanimous approval, were denied by Austria, which cited concerns over border security and unauthorized migration.

UK: Member of Parliament Plans Bill to Strip Harry and Meghan of Titles

A Member of Parliament (MP) for Britain’s governing Conservative (Tory) Party plans to put forward a bill that will allow Parliament to strip Prince Harry and wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, of their titles, in response to their politically-charged Netflix series.

Bob Seely, who represents the Isle of Wight in the House of Commons, believes that the woke couple who abandoned their public duties to pursue activism and public duties years ago now, have forfeited the right to royal status with the publication of the series. The big-headline Netflix documentary has been criticised for trashing Britain as a hub for racism and slavery, cast Brexit and scepticism about immigration in a negative light, and featured an anti-Commonwealth professor who has denounced the late Queen as someone who “decided she wanted to be a figurehead for white supremacy and reap all the rewards”.

Video: Ukrainian Woman Tries to Rob Bank in Poland, Ends Up Beaten by 90-Year-Old Polish Woman Armed With a Cane

A 25-year-old Ukrainian woman reportedly attempted to rob a Polish bank, but her plan did not account for an 90-year-old Polish woman with a cane.

The young Ukrainian woman walked into the PKO Bank Polski in Przemysl, southeastern Poland, on Tuesday afternoon, put a knife to one of the workers’ throats, and demanded money. She threatened to kill the employee while the worker packed money into a bag.

Police say the suspect tried to steal 12,500 zloty (€2,700 euro) in cash.

During the robbery, a 90-year-old woman suddenly approached, appearing to be unafraid of the young woman armed with a knife, and began striking the surprised robber with her orthopedic cane, which allowed bank workers to overpower the intruder.

Caroline Glick: Lapid and His Colleagues Incite a Civil War

Outgoing Prime Minister Yair Lapid has never been a high-minded politician. During his five months in power as caretaker prime minister, he tried to get the only non-leftist television station in the country thrown off the air. He called his political opponents and their voters “sts,” and “forces of darkness,” who have no right to exercise their legal right to oversee the actions of his lame duck government.

In the leadup to the elections, he accused Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu of being anti-democratic and warned that Netanyahu would not accept the election results if he lost.

As is invariably the case with progressive elitists like Lapid and his colleagues, it turns out that it is they who reject the basic rules of democracy and refuse to accept the results of the elections. Rather than accept that they received a drubbing at the polls and will spend the next four-and-a-half years in the opposition, Lapid and his comrades have doubled down on their demonization. They use their slanders of Netanyahu and his colleagues to raise the barricades and call for civil war.

Lapid’s opening volley came last Wednesday during the official annual memorial ceremony for Israel’s first premier, David Ben-Gurion. In his speech, Lapid used Ben-Gurion as a means to justify the statements and actions he took in the days that followed. Lapid did two things in his address: First, he totally distorted Ben-Gurion and what he stood for, and then he used his imaginary Ben-Gurion as a foil to demonize Netanyahu and his coalition partners.

Ben-Gurion, of course was the leader of the Zionist revolution. He was a Jewish nationalist. He led the settlement of the Land of Israel before and after the establishment of the state. He built and led the IDF in two wars. He defied the American Jewish leadership and transformed Israel into the voice of the Jewish people and the center of Jewish life worldwide.

In his speech, Lapid invented a completely new Ben-Gurion. Lapid’s “Ben-Gurion” was not a Jewish patriot. He was a post-Zionist, woke progressive…

Iran Plans Trudeau Tactics to Freeze Bank Accounts of Women Who Refuse to Wear Hijab

A member of the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Hossein Jalali, told the media that the government was planning to punish women who refuse to wear hijabs (headscarves) in public by freezing their bank accounts. The government’s plans are mirroring a technique used by Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to suppress civil liberties protesters.

Jalali said that “unveiled persons” would get a text message telling them to respect the law, then enter a “warning phase,” and eventually have their bank accounts frozen.

“In the third stage, the bank account of the unveiled person may be frozen,” Jalali said.

NATO Chief Fears Ukraine War Could Become a Wider Conflict

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — The head of NATO expressed worry that the fighting in Ukraine could spin out of control and become a war between Russia and NATO, according to an interview released Friday.

“If things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong,” NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said in remarks to Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

“It is a terrible war in Ukraine. It is also a war that can become a full-fledged war that spreads into a major war between NATO and Russia,” he said. “We are working on that every day to avoid that.”

Stoltenberg, a former prime minister of Norway, said in the interview that “there is no doubt that a full-fledged war is a possibility,” adding that it was important to avoid a conflict “that involves more countries in Europe and becomes a full-fledged war in Europe.”

The Kremlin has repeatedly accused NATO allies of effectively becoming a party to the conflict by providing Ukraine with weapons, training its troops and feeding military intelligence to attack Russian forces.

  1. .

    Isn’t it true that the current Swedish Prime Minister has 4 Chinese children at home in the big apartment in Östermalm?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I like Kajsa Ekis Ekman for her courage. She was in Ship to Gaza and dares to criticize communist China even though she herself is extremely left-wing. Today she revealed on AB’s culture page a huge scandal involving Moderate leader Ulf Kristersson:
    Kristersson betrayed the stolen children
    Kajsa Ekis Ekman on the M-leader’s responsibility in the adoption scandal: Didn’t stop the trade
    …….
    Most common, however, was that representatives of the (Chinese note: WTV) state openly confiscated children. State officials made home visits to parents who had more than one child and demanded that they pay large fines or give up the youngest child.
    There are no official figures on how many children have been kidnapped in this way – some sources put the figure at 22,000. Parents have protested and written petitions and many still refuse to give up the search for their children, resulting in divorce and unemployment.
    In 2005, the truth was finally revealed when some of the perpetrators were brought to justice. 27 people were arrested and 10 were convicted of trafficking, including the director of an orphanage. It turned out that the children had been stolen to be sold for adoption. Among other things to Sweden. And the chairman of Adoptionscentrum at the time, Sweden’s largest adoption agency, was the current leader of the Moderate Party, Ulf Kristersson.”
    During the same period, Adoptionscentrum also brokered 33 children from the Changsha orphanage, a regular customer of the traffickers whose boss also bought them a limousine as a thank you. In addition, 14 more children from Changde, also involved in child trafficking. The Adoption Centre further arranged for a child from the Shaoyang orphanage, whose director cooperated with police and officials to take children from poor parents who had violated the one-child policy. The Children’s Friends, another Swedish adoption agency, also brokered 21 children from orphanages that had been clients of the gang.
    The scandal had enormous consequences in China, but also in recipient countries such as the US and the Netherlands. ….
    But in Sweden, the scandal of the stolen children in Hunan province has hardly even been mentioned. Kristersson has not received a single public question about his role in the possible arrival of stolen children in Sweden. Very strange in a country where prospective prime ministers usually have all their receipts, rent rolls and roommates scrutinised.
    During Kristersson’s time as chairman of the Adoption Centre, in 2003-2005, adoptions grew from China to the US, Europe and Sweden. China became the country from which the Adoption Centre placed the most children, around 250 a year. China was popular: waiting times were short, the children were usually healthy and they had no birth certificates as virtually all were reported as “found”. …
    When the Swedish authorities learn of the case in 2006, all they do is make enquiries of the Chinese dictatorship. The answer they get from the Chinese adoption authority CCAA is that “It is forbidden to sell children in China. If you follow the law, there is no problem with child trafficking.” They are also assured that all children who have come to Sweden “are indeed abandoned.” (All countries that asked received exactly the same answer.)
    In 2003, the government report Adoption – at what cost? (SOU 2003:49), which proposed tightening the rules on adoption to avoid child trafficking. One proposal was to limit the payment for children. The inquiry argued that what the Adoption Centre called “aid activities” gave incentives to orphanages to obtain children illegally. The inquiry therefore wanted to draw a clear line between adoption and aid activities.
    Instead of welcoming the proposal, Kristersson launched a massive counter-campaign. In newspapers, debates and consultation responses, he expressed the view that Swedish adoptions would be practically over if orphanages were no longer allowed to be paid. “All the big countries of origin would disappear,” he wrote in an article on DN Debatt: “Of the almost 700 children who found Swedish parents through us last year, a total of 37 children would have been allowed to come to Sweden if the inquiry’s proposal had been law.”
    Although children’s rights organisations wanted to see an end to payments to orphanages, the government chose to follow Kristersson’s line. In the bill, the proposal was gone. Kristersson had only one comment on the child trafficking data: “It’s a pretty brutal world out there.”
  2. Given credence to Yahoo News is like saying the NYT is journalism. You can do better than citing a Yahoo News ‘poll’ to say DeSantis has a lead over Trump, that is utter b.s. DeSantis is the globalists’ preferred candidate at this point who has said nothing about running for President. Trump will wipe the floor with DeSantis if DeSantis tries to run against him. Such an act by DeSantis would do more harm than good due to the fact he has no clear successor in Florida, Florida still uses voting machines and running for President would open the door for the demo-fascist and their globalist partners to steal Florida. Also success at the state level does not illustrate whether one can succeed at a national level. DeSantis has done great things for Florida but one needs to be leery of him given that he is another Ivy league Yale graduate who has never worked in the private sector. The same background of the critters in DC who treat the citizens as second class servants.
