Mortgage Holders Lost $1.3T in Equity in Q3

After peaking in the second quarter of this year, homeowner equity saw record levels of contraction in the third quarter of 2022, according to Black Knight’s Mortgage Monitor Report, released Monday.

In a case called New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, the Supreme Court in June struck down concealed carry permitting frameworks in several states that effectively prohibited ordinary Americans from carrying firearms in public for self-defense.

Since then, residents of those states have applied for concealed carry permits in droves, showing just how willing many of them always have been to exercise their Second Amendment rights when the government no longer prohibits it.

FBI Investigating After Explosion Outside Texas Public Radio Headquarters in Downtown San Antonio

Video shared by TPR shows someone placing a device underneath a statue of Vladimir Lenin’s head, which is not on TPR’s property, before an explosion.

SAN ANTONIO — The FBI and local authorities are investigating after an apparent bomb was detonated under a sculpture outside of Texas Public Radio headquarters in downtown San Antonio early Monday morning.

No one was injured in the explosion, which was caught on surveillance video presented by TPR. The video shows someone placing a device near the statue, called “Miss Mao Trying to Poise Herself at the Top of Lenin’s Head,” at 2:25 a.m. and is edited to then show the explosion just six minutes later.

[…]

The sculpture, which isn’t on TPR property, depicts a tiny likeness of Mao Zedong balancing atop a massive Vladimir Lenin. It generated controversy upon its installation in March, with some calling it Communist propaganda and a celebration of the Soviet leader. Others questioned the timing of its unveiling, which happened soon after the invasion of Ukraine by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The San Antonio developer who brought the artwork has defended the decision, saying the statue was satirical in nature.

Heroic Veteran Researcher Warns Evidence Shows Google Still Interfering to Help Democrats Win Elections

This story was originally published by the WND News Center

(WND News Center) — Empirical research shows Google affected the outcome of the 2016 and 2020 elections in favor of Democrats, and that the tech giant “has its digital thumb on the scale” of the current midterms, says Robert Epstein, a Democratic Party voter who was the famed behavioral psychologist B.F. Skinner’s last PhD student at Harvard.

In a WND video interview, Epstein contended, however, that his ever-growing, unique “Nielsen rating-type” system of monitoring Google’s manipulation of search results provides the solid evidence needed to stop the Big Tech behemoth in its tracks.

In the meantime, he said, the novel “Brave New World” has come to life.

“This is power that’s never existed before in human history. This is power that the worst dictators in history could have only dreamt of,” Epstein told WND. “But this is real. This is occurring now.”

Epstein recalled a lesser-known theme in President Dwight Eisenhower’s famous “military-industrial complex” farewell address in 1961, warning of a “technological elite” that could control public policy without the public’s knowledge.

Massive Fire, Explosions Erupt at Georgia Chemical Plant, Neighborhoods Evacuated

BRUNSWICK, Ga. (WSAV) — A chemical plant is currently ablaze in Glynn County, prompting evacuation and shelter-in-place orders from local law enforcement.

According to the Glynn County Police Department, the Symrise chemical plant at Colonel’s Island has been evacuated and multiple explosions have been reported. The plant is just off Highway 17 in Brunswick.

Both Glynn County and Jacksonville officials provided an update at a press conference on Monday morning.

Officials say the call came in around 4 a.m. on Monday morning. Less than 10 people were working at the plant when the fire broke out, and none of them were injured. Authorities say one firefighter was hospitalized due to exhaustion from fighting the fire.

Authorities believe the fire should burn out but wind shift remains a concern due to the plumes of the chemical hydrogen peroxide pinene, which is used in fragrances.

Glynn County officials say area neighborhoods within a 3-mile radius of the plant remain under a shelter-in-place, while about 100 households in neighborhoods within a 1-mile radius have been asked to evacuate.

The Camden County Emergency Management Agency has opened up a shelter center for evacuees at the Camden PSA Rec Center located at 1050 Wildcat Drive in Kingsland. Officials say no one has shown up to the shelter at this time.

Fire departments from multiple nearby towns have been called to the scene, including a hazmat team from as far away as Jacksonville.

The Air Force Went Woke, Its Planes Won’t Fly

by Daniel Greenfield

Chief of Staff Charles Brown and Chief Master Sergeant Kaleth Wright have made diversity and wokeness into the core of the Air Force’s mission. Meanwhile the planes won’t fly.

Brown has spent the past few years unleashing worthless diversity reviews to try and blame the Air Force for a supposed lack of diversity, even though it now has a black chief of staff and a black top enlisted leader. The military justification for their divisive shenanigans was that diversity equated somehow to military readiness. How is the Air Force’s readiness?

The latest numbers show that the Air Force has made no progress in improving the readiness of its planes with a rate of 71.5% or 7 out of 10 planes in 2021.

The United States Air Force is supposed to have mission capable rates of 75% to 80%, but about the only aircraft that meet that criteria are the unmanned drones. The high ratings of the drones disguise the fact that the actual numbers, when broken down by aircraft, are worse.

The F-35As, the fifth generation fighters that would be crucial in countering any sizable aerial engagement with Communist China, dropped catastrophically from 76% to 68.8%…

Ukraine War: Kyiv Mayor Klitschko Warns of Evacuations if Power Lost

Kyiv residents should be prepared to leave the city if there is a total loss of power, mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said.

In recent weeks, millions of Ukrainians have intermittently been left without electricity and water as Russian air strikes target vital infrastructure.

Rolling power cuts are also in place to avoid overloads and allow for repairs.

Some 40% of Ukraine’s energy system has been damaged or destroyed by Russian attacks on power plants and lines.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia could be “concentrating forces and means for a possible repetition of mass attacks on our infrastructure, energy in the first instance”.

The Geneva Conventions, which outline humanitarian standards for treatment in war, state that attacks should not be carried out against “civilian objects”.

Speaking on Ukrainian television, Mayor Klitschko branded Russia’s targeting of infrastructure as “terrorism” and “genocide”.

Russian President Vladimir Putin “doesn’t need us Ukrainians. He needs territory, he needs Ukraine without us”, the former heavyweight boxer said.

“That’s why everything that is happening now [strikes on infrastructure] is genocide. His task is for us to die, to freeze, or to make us flee our land so that he can have it.”

Another official in the capital Kyiv has warned that, in the case of a total blackout, water supply and sewerage would also stop working.

India: Love Jihad in Madhya Pradesh: Taking Hindu Name, A Muslim Blackmailed, Raped and Converted a Punjabi Woman

When the victim woman asked to give up the chase, the accused said — In our (Islam) religion, if we (Muslims) keep more than one woman and convert woman of other religion to Islam, we get heaven.

dhokhebazChitra Pathak | HENB | Indore | Nov 6, 2022:: Adding a new case of Love Jihad connected with perpetration of rape and blackmailing along with an attempt of forced religious conversion has emerged from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Here, a Muslim man Sakir Mohammad allegedly recorded a pornographic tape of a Punjabi Hindu lady after befriending her and raping her while posing as Rajkumar after taking a Hindu name of Rajkumar. After that, he began to put pressure on her to convert to Islam. He allegedly threatened to make the video go public if she refused it by the way.

The victim sought sanctuary in the High Court since the complaint was not registered at the local police station very unfortunately while the state is run by a BJP Govt. An FIR has been registered afterwards in compliance with the court’s order.

The matter pertains to Sakir Mohammad and a Punjabi Hindu woman from Shahdol. The widow filed a petition at the High Court, stating that her spouse died in an accident four years ago. She was living alone after that. She was seeking a job at the moment. When she couldn’t find a job, she went to a bank to acquire a loan, which is when she met Sakir Mohammad.

The woman alleged that at the bank meeting, Sakir introduced himself as a Hindu named Rajkumar. He stated that his wife had died and that he was the father of a kid. Following this, Sakir took the victim in confidence and shot objectionable clips while in sexual intimacy with that lady and raped her several times by intoxicating her.

Later, he used those video footage to continue blackmailing the victim. Not only that, but after bringing the victim home, he would dress her in a burqa and physically assault her. In addition, after taking her to the madarsa and signing certain Urdu-written paperwork, he began pressing her to be converted in Islam. She was a victim of forced conversion. Before this Sakir took signature of the victim in many papers saying those for bank loan purposes.

The victim alleges that she protested when she learned that the accused’s wife is still alive and that he is the father of nine children. In response, Sakir stated that having more than one woman is a deed of Sabab (virtue) that leads to heaven. When the offender’s entire story was revealed to the victim, he began harassing her and pressuring her to convert with her little daughter…

TikTok’s Chinese Platform Enriches Kids While US Version Dumbs Them Down: Report

A recent episode of 60 Minutes has revealed the glaring differences in TikTok videos shown to US teens and kids versus the ones shown to Chinese kids and teens through their version Douyin.

Both owned by ByteDance, Doyuin serves as the company’s domestic product, while TikTok is available in a number of Western countries like the US. On Apple’s App Store, TikTok is listed as the number 3 app overall for free apps, and the number 1 app for entertainment.

“In their version of TikTok, if you’re under 14 years old, they show you science experiments you can do at home, museum exhibits, patriotism videos and educational videos,” said Tristan Harris, co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology.

“And they also limit it to only 40 minutes per day. Now they don’t ship that version of TikTok to the rest of the world. So it’s almost like they recognize that technology’s influencing kids’ development, and they make their domestic version a spinach version of TikTok, while they ship the opium version to the rest of the world,” he added.

Vietnam Gas Stations Start to Close Due to Widespread Shortages

While the US awaits with bated breath to see if there will be any diesel inventories after the midterm elections (see “Forget Oil, The Real Crisis Is Diesel Inventories: The US Has Just 25 Days Left”), other countries are already seeing gas stations run dry. Take Ho Chi Minh City, the city known as Vietnam’s economic engine, whose gas stations are being forced to suspend operations due to shortages of the fuel.

Believe it or not, it is possible to have an even worse government response to an energy crisis than that of the US democrats, and Vietnam is it: a tangle of reactions to a constrained petroleum market — including government price controls and distributors’ decreasing profits — has worsened the country’s gasoline shortage, increasing the burden on domestic refineries.

While these refineries are moving to increase gasoline production, it will take time for Vietnam to fully solve the fundamental problems behind its petroleum crisis according to Nikkei Asia.

Federal Court Rules in Favor of Louisville Photographer Who Opposes Same-Sex Weddings

Chelsey Nelson is owner of Chelsey Nelson Photography and had filed a lawsuit against Louisville challenging the Fairness Ordinance.

A federal district court has ruled in favor of a Louisville photographer who filed a lawsuit against the city in 2019, alleging its Fairness Ordinance violated her constitutional rights as a Christian because it could force her to take on same-sex wedding assignments.

In a 44-page ruling Tuesday from U.S. District Court Judge Benjamin Beaton, the court granted a request by Chelsey Nelson, owner of Chelsey Nelson Photography, for an injunction against the city’s ordinance, saying the city could not use the law to compel her to photograph same-sex weddings or “otherwise express messages inconsistent with Nelson’s beliefs,” and could not prohibit her from advertising on her website that she only photographs opposite-sex ceremonies.

Her lawsuit had claimed through the Fairness Ordinance, the city was forcing her to promote and participate in ceremonies that she opposed for religious reasons. And the judge agreed, saying in the ruling that while she had never been asked to photograph a same-sex wedding, “state law protects her photography and associated blogging from the burdens the City seeks to impose.”

Led by Kellie-Jay Keen, who advocates for women’s rights and for biological sex, the feminists spoke into pre-set microphones about the importance of protecting children from transgender surgeries.

The pro-transgender activists attempted to drown them out by screaming, yelling into megaphones, and more.

Elon Musk’s takeover of the microblogging service Twitter is causing a stir around the world. The mainstream media is slapping him on the wrist because he has announced that he will no longer exercise censorship and they now fear a tidal wave of fake news. Millions of Musk fans, however, hail their hero as the saviour of free speech.

Both groups apparently do not realise that their respective attitudes make them victims of the most dangerous trend of our time – the division of society.

Let us therefore try to analyse it all soberly and first look at who Elon Musk is.

    1.
Musk is one of the founders of Pay Pal. PayPal, whose largest shareholders are BlackRock and Vanguard, is currently the subject of several lawsuits for allegedly defrauding customers and luring investors with false information.

    2.
Founded SpaceX and Starlink in 2002. Starlink is by far the largest satellite operator in the world, with nearly 2,600 satellites, and is used, among other things, by the corrupt regime in Ukraine for warfare.

    3.
Musk has been CEO of the car company TESLA since 2008, whose largest shareholders are also BlackRock and Vanguard. Anyone who buys an electric car from Tesla accepts that the car uploads driving data to the manufacturer’s cloud. Anyone who wants to evade this data collection by making changes to the vehicle will receive a warning from Tesla’s lawyers for license infringement.

    4.
Musk’s companies Tesla, SolarCity and SpaceX have received nearly $5 billion in government funding in 2015 alone. Musk is therefore not an opponent but a partner and profiteer of the state.

    5.
Musk graduated in 2008 as a Young Global Leader from the World Economic Forum, which promotes public-private partnerships around the world.

    6.
Musk founded the company Neuralink in 2016. Its transhumanist goal is to develop a device for communication between the human brain and computers, a so-called brain-computer interface.

    7.
Musk, a great admirer of China’s economic progress, proposed in October 2022 that Taiwan become a “special administrative zone” under Chinese rule.

This is just some information about the work of a man who knows better than anyone how to present himself as someone who swims against the tide and who has vowed to make Twitter a “marketplace for free speech”.

This promise, however, does not change the fact that the decision of who gets to say and write what will be in his hands in the future.

But what lies behind Musk’s decision to take over Twitter?

It is clear that the plan is to turn Twitter into a financial services provider and to issue a private currency through Twitter, which would open up a whole new industry. Musk already bought back the X.COM domain in 2017, which was shut down in 2002 with the PayPal takeover, and announced that he would make Twitter liable for payment.

That way, he gets what he’s most interested in: users’ data. PayPal has just shown them what to expect: the company notified its customers in October 2022 that they could face fines of up to $2,500, account suspension for up to 180 days, and even full balance forfeiture if they spread false information.

    What does all this mean?
It is no more and no less than that the debate on freedom of expression has given rise to a false conflict which – like the major health crises of recent years – serves perfectly well to divert public attention from the most important processes in the background – the increasing concentration of money and data in fewer and fewer hands and the total subordination of us all to the digital-financial complex.

    • Indeed. Though he remains an interesting character, and not (so far) on a par with the likes of Bezos, Zuckerman and Gates.
