Bidenflation: More Holiday Shoppers Going in to Debt to Buy Gifts as Inflation Soars

While inflation continues its reign of terror over American consumers, holiday shoppers are financing their purchases via “buy now, pay later” apps, new data on Thanksgiving spending shows.

Spending with financing services such as Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna rose 1.3 percent on Thanksgiving, reported The New York Post. The apps allow consumers to make smaller payments over time for their purchase, oftentimes with interest.

Canada Sees Third Consecutive Month of Plummeting Small Business Confidence

Small businesses remain uncertain about the trajectory of the Canadian economic outlook for a third month in a row, a new report found.

As first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) November 2022 Business Barometer index indicated that confidence among business owners has declined once again.

Expectations for the next three months fell by 2.2 points since October, down to 43.8. Long-term confidence is also down by 1.2 points since the previous month and is currently sitting at 50.

“An index below 50 shows that there are fewer business owners feeling confident than feeling negatively about the next months,” explained the CFIB.

“This is Appalling”: Major Tax Filing Services Have Been Sending Financial Information to Facebook

Major tax filing services, including H&R Block, TaxAct and TaxSlayer, have been covertly sending Facebook sensitive financial information when Americans file their taxes online, according to The Markup.

The data includes names, email addresses, income, filing status, refund amounts and college scholarship information — which is sent to Facebook regardless of whether a person even has a Facebook account — or with other platforms owned by Meta. The company can then be used to fine tune advertising algorithms.

It is sent through widely used code called the Meta Pixel.

Of note, Intuit-owned TurboTax does use Meta Pixel, however the company did not send financial information — just usernames and the last time a device signed in. Beyond that, they have kept Pixel entirely off pages beyond sign in.

12 Oklahoma Universities Discriminate Against White and Asian Students: Federal Complaint

Twelve Oklahoma universities have been hit with a federal civil rights complaint for their participation in a STEM program that excludes white, Asian and Middle Eastern students.

Do No Harm, a nonprofit group fighting wokeness in healthcare, filed the complaints due to the universities’ participation in the Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program. The complaints have been filed with the Department of Education, but it does not mean an investigation will necessarily take place.

Senior Fellow Mark Perry, a frequent filer of Title IX sex and Title VI race complaints, filed them. Perry shared a copy of the complaint with The Fix. He said the 12 complaints are in the “evaluation stage” and have been acknowledged by the DOE.

Being Thankful for the Left

by Daniel Greenfield

When we celebrate Thanksgiving, after being thankful for family and friends, for health and comfort, for food and shelter; we shouldn’t forget to be thankful for the left.

There is no light without darkness and without evil, the good often fails to find their own voice. It is in the presence of slavery that we remember the worth of freedom. Men and nations are forged in war; not only the war of shell and shot, but the war of ideas. War teaches us to fight for what we have. Wars of ideas teach us to stand up for what we believe.

It is because conservatives are basically hopeful and confident that we are also prone to extremes of despair. Too many us were shocked at the decline of our society because of our great confidence in it. The faith that conservatives have in America makes them vulnerable to being crushed by the latest victory of the left.

I have seen far too much despair and defeatism, too many comments that suggest there is no hope for America and the only thing left to do is pour a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. But those comments testify to how sheltered Americans are from the struggles against tyranny around the world.

Eight years of Obama and four years of Biden are bad, but try sixty-nine years of Communism on for size. That’s what generations of Russians had to live through. Ask some of the conservative activists in Europe who have never had any of the freedoms that we still take for granted whether they’ve given up hope. Ask people from countries where criticism of Islam can mean death, whether they’ve given up hope.

Chesapeake Police Release Note From Walmart Shooter, Who Says He Felt ‘Mocked’ By Co-Workers

CHESAPEAKE — A note police found on the phone of the gunman who shot and killed six people before killing himself at a Chesapeake Walmart Tuesday was filled with complaints about co-workers and ramblings about his phone being hacked.

Police released the note on Friday. It was found on the phone of Andre Bing, who Chesapeake police say shot and killed six people and wounded four others at the Walmart on Sam’s Circle in Chesapeake. In the note, which was found at the scene of the crime, the gunman said he felt “harassed” and “mocked” by associates at the store. It also said he believed his phone had been hacked.

The gunman ended the note by writing, “My God forgive me for what I’m going to do…”

In the note, the shooter named individuals he felt had either betrayed him or had been “antagonizing” him. Police redacted the names of those individuals from the copy shared with the public.

At one point, the shooter wrote he had overheard two people talking and one had told him that someone had been “trying to get rid of me since day one.”

The shooter described how he believed some of the Walmart associates spoke in code about him and gave him “evil twisted grins.” The “holy spirit” is referenced several times, and he also described how one person had come to apologize to him and she “looked me in the eyes terrified by a demonic aura.”

In the note, the shooter said his “true intent was never to murder anyone believe it or not.” He also stated his intent to spare one woman, whose name was redacted.

It also stated that his mother had died from cancer.

Police confirmed the gunman used a 9mm handgun, which had been purchased legally from a local store the day of the shooting. Police also reportedly found a box of ammunition and a receipt and other paperwork related to the handgun. The shooter had no criminal history.

Walmart confirmed the gunman was an overnight team lead at the store and had worked for the company since 2010.

Half the country would happily ditch the biased, snooping iPhone & Android. The man builds rockets to Mars, a silly little smartphone should be easy, right?”

For Thanksgiving, Biden Stuffs America’s 401(k)s With ESG

On Tuesday, the Department of Labor finalized a rule that provides regulatory cover for retirement plan sponsors who want to emphasize environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in plan management.

Since 1974, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) has rightly required that plan sponsors act “solely in the interest” of employees and beneficiaries when selecting and monitoring investments and casting shareholder votes.

The Trump administration reinforced that principle by prohibiting retirement plans from considering investment attributes that aren’t material to risk or performance. Trump’s DOL explicitly prohibited funds with ESG principles from being used as the default investment for plan participants.

With Biden’s Thanksgiving week move, that’s all out the window, setting up tens of millions of Americans to have their retirement potential clipped as woke corporations corral their money into ESG-tainted investments.

Inside the US: Muslim Brotherhood Member Calls for Jihadist Terrorism Worldwide

A Muslim Brotherhood propagandist based in New York City has called for jihad both in the United States and internationally.

Bahgat Saber, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, operates from his New York apartment and often streams live videos from Times Square. During his multi-hour videos, Saber routinely incites terrorism, assassinations, kidnapping and torture in an extremely graphic manner. The calls for violence in his videos are viewed by millions of people across the world.

In October, when Saber called for bloodshed, he used a code-phrase employed by al-Qaeda to activate their terrorist cells for open warfare. In a video titled, “Ride, O horses of Allah.” Saber started his video with, “We are working in the upcoming phase on Ride, O horses of Allah“ — which is al-Qaeda’s call for activating terrorism.

Metamask Starts Tracking User IPs

ConsenSys has revised the privacy policy of MetaMask, a popular self-custody wallet with over 21 million monthly active users. The updated version states that MetaMask will start collecting Ethereum wallet addresses and IP addresses during on-chain transactions.

ConsenSys explained that the data collection only applies when someone uses Infura, Mestamask’s default Remote Procedure Call (RPC) application. When users use a third-party RPC or their own Ethereum node, the new update to the privacy policy does not apply; they play by the rules of the RPC you are using.

ConsenSys said that the data collected might be disclosed to comply with Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer requirements, or to affiliates, as part of business deals.

The community has criticized the new privacy policy.

Newly Elected Conservative School Board Fires Superintendent, Bans Critical Race Theory

Authored by Jackson Elliott via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours)

In one meeting, Deon Jackson went from South Carolina’s Berkeley County school superintendent to unemployed.

His firing came at the hand of a newly-elected school board, which appears to have declared a judgment day for woke practices in its district.

In its first meeting after the Nov. 8 election, the board fired superintendent Jackson and school counsel Tiffany Richardson. Then it hired Anthony Dixon as superintendent and retained Brandon Gaskins as counsel. And before the day was over, the board banned teaching critical race theory and created a board to review library books for pornographic content.

Moms for Liberty, an activist group that supports parental rights in education, endorsed six of the board’s nine members. Many Moms for Liberty candidates won school board elections this November, as reported previously. The group’s leaders say more aggressive school management decisions may soon be in order.

Spring Election for Supreme Court Crucial to Wisconsin Reform, Former Governor Says

There is already a focus on Wisconsin’s next election.

Former Gov. Scott Walker on Tuesday said if liberals win the race for Supreme Court in Wisconsin, all of the state’s reforms from his time in office will be in danger.

“An activist court, as we’ve seen elsewhere in the country, could do almost anything,” Walker told News Talk 113O WISN’s Jay Weber. “If you listen to at least a couple of of the liberal candidates … they sound very much aligned with some of the things we’ve seen in California and Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.”

Walker says that could mean changes not only to Act 10 or Right to Work in Wisconsin, but could mean changes to things like redistricting that he says “affects the rest of the country.”

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith Bans Masks in School, Ends Fully Remote Learning

A news release from the government of Alberta says parents and families have been given “little to no notice” that students would be required to move to online learning throughout the pandemic. Many families did not have the resources to support at-home learning, and online classes impacted students’ well-being and academic achievement, the release says.

Smith says parents and students have told her they desire a regular school environment.

This issue was first raised when the bill was introduced earlier in the year, but now some estimates and statements coming from the country’s parliament and MPs are reinforcing fears that C-18 will not only give most of the money to giants like Bell and Rogers — but also pave the way to (re)define what a news outlet is.

Ottawa School Board Mask Mandate Motion Fails

The Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) has rejected a controversial motion by trustee Dr. Nili Kaplan-Myrth that would have imposed a mask mandate.

The trustees voted on the motion Thursday night after two long special meetings. The vote among trustees was tied 6-6, causing the motion to fail. The two student trustees, whose votes are not formally counted, both voted against the motion.

Kaplan-Myrth, who is known for controversial social media posts and media appearances, put forward the mask mandate motion amid what experts call a “tripledemic” of respiratory viruses — the seasonal flu, RSV and Covid-19.

Revealed: Biden Ordered Trudeau to End Freedom Convoy Over Fears US Car Plants Would Close Within Hours — Before the Canadian PM Invoked Emergency Powers to Quash it

President Joe Biden demanded Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stop the ‘freedom convoy’ that protested at the US-Canada border against vaccine mandates, right before Trudeau invoked emergency powers to end it.

Trudeau is set to testify in Ottawa on Friday regarding his decision to clear out the convoy as part of the Canadian government’s investigation into the PM using those powers.

The trucker protest grew until it closed vital trade routes along the Canada-U.S. border and shut down key parts of the capital for more than three weeks. But all border blockades were ended on February 14.

It has been revealed that Biden pressed on his Canadian counterpart to stop the convoy, with Canadian Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland saying that Washington was ‘very, very, very worried.’

The minister emailed staff on February 10 saying that the US government feared ‘all of their northeastern car plants will shut down’ if the convoy was not stopped within 12 hours.

Freeland had been speaking that same day to Biden’s top economic advisor, Brian Deese, who was himself worried about the blockades and said they could cost around $2.9billion in trade.

Trudeau Bill Amendment Would Result in ‘Largest Gun Ban in Canadian History’

A surprise last-minute amendment by the Liberals to Trudeau’s pending gun control bill, initially pitched as a way to prevent the sale of Canadian handguns, would result in the largest gun prohibition in Canadian legislative history, the National Post reports.

The amendment, tabled by Liberal MP Paul Chiang, would criminalize “a firearm that is a rifle or shotgun, that is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner and that is designed to accept a detachable cartridge magazine with a capacity greater than five cartridges of the type for which the firearm was originally designed.”

India: Karnataka: Little Known IRC (Islamic Resistance Council) Claims Responsibility for Mangaluru Blast in ‘Hindutva Temple’

PTI | Bengaluru | Nov 24, 2022:: A little-known outfit Islamic Resistance Council (IRC) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the Mangaluru blast on November 19, saying one of its ‘Mujahid brother Mohammed Shariq’ attempted to attack a ‘Hindutva Temple in Kadri’.

While top police officers remained tight-lipped, police sources said they are verifying the origin of this information.

“We the Islamic Resistance Council (IRC) would like to convey the message: One of our Mujahid brother Mohammed Shariq attempted to attack the Hindutva Temple in Kadri (in Dakshina Kannada district), a bastion of the Saffron terrorists in Mangaluru,” the message said.

It further said, “Although this operation didn’t meet its objectives, we still consider it a success from a tradecraft and tactics point of view as the brother in spite of being wanted and being pursued by the state and central intelligence agencies, was not only able to successfully evade them but even prepared and mounted an attack.”

On November 19, Mohammed Shariq, who was at large, was travelling in an auto-rickshaw with a cooker which exploded in Mangaluru injuring him and the driver. Police called the blast an act of terror.

Kobe Beef for Klaus Schwab, Cockroaches for the Masses

Recently the globalist “elite” gathered once again for a G20 summit, this time on the Indonesian island of Bali. Outrageously expensive, exquisite Wagyu steaks from Kobe beef were on the menu. This Japanese delicacy costs 400 to 600 euros per kilogram (and significantly more for some varieties). Meanwhile, the rest of us are promised insect food.

In their final declaration, the heads of government once again fell over themselves with commitments to climate protection — and according to the ideology propagated by the UN and many media, this also includes the renunciation of meat. In its place, the consumption of insects is promoted.

As early as 2013, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) published a detailed report on the supposed advantages of insects as a potential new main food source. Due to the “climate crisis”, the production bottlenecks in the global grain supply as a result of wars and the growing population figures, this change in eating habits is said to be becoming more and more topical from the point of view of the UN “sustainability strategists”.
