Run Me Out in the Cold Rain and Snow

A severe winter social crisis is just around the corner in Germany. When it arrives, German political leaders can’t say they were never warned. The following article reports on the alarm being sounded by German social welfare organizations.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Junge Freiheit:

Because of energy costs

Associations warn: Social institutions are on the verge of collapse

Berlin

The president of the Diakonie*, Ulrich Lilie, has warned of drastic upheavals in the social sector. Numerous aid and care facilities are on the brink of collapse due to increased energy costs, he told the RND. “The social infrastructure is threatened with collapse.”

For legal reasons, non-profit institutions are hardly allowed to build up reserves, Lilie explained. The increased electricity and gas prices are therefore unaffordable for many. “They have their backs to the wall and cannot wait months for an energy price cap.”

Nursing homes cannot turn down the heating

The federal government is currently discussing a “gas price brake”. The consequences of the current energy crisis are to be mitigated with up to €200 billion. The president of Caritas, Eva Maria Welskop-Deffaa, who is a member of the committee responsible for designing the gas price brake, wants to give priority to social institutions.

“In the end, no one should be left out in the rain,” Welskop-Deffaa told the Die Tageszeitung. “Especially not the people who live in facilities for the care of the elderly, integration assistance or child and youth welfare.” A retirement home, for example, cannot simply turn down the heating. “Not for older people who get cold faster anyway.”

“Should social institutions have to close, the weakest in Society will suffer, and they need all the support right now,” emphasized Lilie. Instead, Welskop-Deffaa wants to save elsewhere in the event of a crisis. “Then it might make more sense to specifically take a few manufacturing companies off the grid for the winter.”

Afterword from the translator:

Why not make those “migrants” pay, instead of mollycoddling them with free this, free that, free everything? But I guess that something like that would stop the invasion-stream flowing, and we can’t have that, now, can we? imagine what these care facilities for the elderly, who worked and paid taxes, could do with roughly € 20+ Billion a year that goes to these invaders? It’s a thought, isn’t it?

While elderly citizens are shivering and coughing in their grim accommodations, EU apparatchiks will be warm and snug in their well-feathered nests. The report below details the obscene raises scheduled this year for civil servants, MEPs, and political leaders, including members of the European Commission. The increases are tied to the official rate of inflation, which is what makes them so generous.

There have been multiple warnings about blackouts in Europe during the coming winter. Do members of the nomenklatura have ways to avoid interruptions in their electricity supply? Are their upscale neighborhoods supplied by a special subset of the grid that is exempt from cutoffs? Or will they light candles and shiver in their darkened houses like everyone else?

From Bild, also translated by Hellequin GB:

In the middle of the energy crisis

Huge salary increase for EU civil servants

Massive trouble is looming over the salary increases for almost 50,000 EU officials.

According to preliminary calculations by the EU Commission, the Eurocrats’ salaries should increase by 6.9 % The EU member states are up in arms, demanding a zero round!

The bold salary increase is a result of the automatic adjustment process in the EU. The inflation rate in Brussels and Luxembourg has the greatest influence. Since the prices there have risen drastically due to the energy crisis, the Eurocrat salaries would also increase massively. An internal paper by the budget director of the EU Commission for the budget committee of the EU Parliament has now quantified the effects.

According to the current status, salaries would have to be increased by 6.9 %. The EU statistics office Eurostat will present the final figures at the end of October.

Depending on the salary group, the basic salary of an EU civil servant would increase by €210 to €1,460 per month — retrospectively as of July1 !

The political leaders of the EU would also benefit from this: EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (64) would get €2,015 more in basic salary, an EU Commissioner €1,643 more. MEPs’ allowances would increase by €632 to €9,800.

That is why they are demanding a “single-time suspension” of the automatic salary increase for EU officials. In addition, the “amount and duration” of the lavish allowances for the Eurocrats and the particularly favorable tax system for employees of the EU authorities should be reviewed.

Afterword from the translator:

It’s delicious to be able to see at how the European politicians pluck their citizens like a Christmas goose. Citizens are mollified with a one-time payment, which is also taxed, and those in Brussels treat themselves to a more than average strong sip from the bottle of extremely rare Macallan Single Malt Speyside Whisky, and this monthly. But don’t worry: EU citizens will honour it in the elections, in which they do not take part in protest of, or re-elect the old — untrustworthy — parties with “The Devil you know” mindset. Now you can lay a bet with your bookie on when the German MPs will allow themselves the next tax-grab into the coffers of their citizens.

Sorry, I just had a fit of laughter at so much naïveté on the part of the voters. They want to be fooled, and the politicians do justice to exactly that, over and over and over again. After all, to the majority of the voters it’s “Thy will be done.” INSANE.

  1. Yeah, I agree with translator. I believe they’re using nursing homes as an example but the social services they’re afraid will suffer are the ones for brown invaders. Every direction you look, Europe has the opportunity or necessity to make big decisions. There is no choice, the things that are weighing it down have to be cut loose.

    • I think they will decide the elderly are expendable like the UK and New York did when they had COVID. Put sick back into homes to kill them all.

  2. It never ceases to amaze me just how much effort European politicians are putin’ into avoiding the obvious and inevitable solution – telling their American masters to get stuffed and then entering into peace talks with the Russian Federation.

To continue on the present course until every European military is denuded of weapons, every European (except the wealthy ones) is freezing to death in their blacked-out hovels, and almost every European belly is empty can only result in the end of the EU and the toppling of almost every European government. And the irony is that none of it will have any effect on the outcome in Ukraine other than to make the inevitable Ukrainian defeat even more total and disastrous than it otherwise would have been had serious peace negotiations been allowed to continue in Istanbul back in March. The schadenfreude is so thick that one can cut it with a knife except that the death of Europe will only be the prelude to the death of the American empire.

    • Moon: I agree that Europe needs to come to terms with Russia. Regarding the US, Europe has been soaking American tax payers dry since the end of WWII. Europe, as a whole, always expects America to pay, and American politicians, stupid and venal as they are, cannot resist another opportunity to play Mr. and Mrs. Moneybags.

  3. Living through the end of the WWII order must be part of the interesting times as the globalist owned governments war against their populations.
Normalcy bias, cognitive dissonance, Stockholm Syndrome, it couldn’t be that bad mindsets, keeps some people from seeing that it is that bad.
Will the Marxist war of all against all burn down the world?
    Honk, honk!

  4. Yes, immigrants are mollycoddled.
They get a free home, free food and medical bills are also free.
Why arent the put in military style barracks and put to work, like working on fields growing food or cleaning streets?
Some time ago there were news that immigrants dont clean their homes and the german taxpayer had to pay cleaning people.

    And that happens for decades.

I remember I once was in Sozialhilfe, social help, that was when you were too long unemployed, nowadays known as Hartz IV, yes you are the lowest of the low, and I had to hear how an old german lady, one of the Trümmerfrauen who rebuild Germany was treated. She needed replacement teethsand the guy who was assigned her case said her, that without teeth she could only eat soup and as soup was less expensive he could cut her allowance.
Some time later an immigrant with tooth problems was said nearly the same thing but he screamed “RACISM! You NAZI!” and he was given 1st class dental care.

    • All that does is make the German hate, they see what is happening and are not pleased, the German will only take so much until he gets angry enough to act and at some point the German will act and it will horrify the woke and feminaxi’s into shock. I look forward to it, for there needs to be a reckoning for all those who wrought this upon us.

  5. Buy diesel generators. I believe they can deliver AC power and just rewire.
Our state govt bought themselves diesel generators when they shut down coal power stations as they weren’t going to risk their comfort. Must be possible. Get onto it ASAP.

  6. How are price caps and energy vouchers going to create more energy??

    When he’s right, he’s right.

“People cannot be fed with printed dollars and euros. You can’t feed them with those pieces of paper, and the virtual, inflated capitalisation of western social media companies can’t heat their homes. Everything I am saying is important. And what I just said is no less so: you can’t feed anyone with paper – you need food; and you can’t heat anyone’s home with these inflated capitalisations – you need energy.

“That is why politicians in Europe have to convince their fellow citizens to eat less, take a shower less often and dress warmer at home. And those who start asking fair questions like “Why is that, in fact?” are immediately declared enemies, extremists and radicals. They point back at Russia and say: that is the source of all your troubles. More lies.”

  7. Socialism has always had a soft spot for feudalism. Reading the Communist Manifesto you can almost hear the longing in Marx’s voice as he waxes on about how the bourgeoisie “pitilessly tore asunder the motley feudal ties that bound man to his ―natural superiors.”

It would appear that it is “settled social science” that the quickest way to re-establish those authentic bonds of Lord and serf is to return the latter to the conditions of the 10th century and simultaneously eliminate the wicked and un-natural bourgeoisie altogether.

Nothing celebrates the victory of the proletariat like burning dung in a mud hut to boil water to soften the tree bark one’s children subsist on. It builds character.
