‘Our Great-Grandchildren Will Pay for This’ — Germany’s Plan to Borrow €200 Billion in ‘Shadow’ Debt to Pay for Gas Price Cap Criticized by Federal Audit Office

Germany’s ambitious plan to take out €200 billion in debt to pay for a gas price cap is designed to shelter consumers and businesses from skyrocketing energy prices, but Germany’s Federal Court of Auditors is already calling the entire scheme into question.

The German government has long employed “special funds” in its budget practices to avoid labeling spending as official debt. The questionable practice allows little oversight from parliament, but the Federal Court of Auditors points out that the €200 billion, which is yet another such item in the “shadow budget,” would further cloud the already murky boundaries of the country’s budget.

Over 500,000 Austrians Demand ‘Right to Cash Payments’ Be Added to Country’s Constitution

More than half a million Austrians have signed a petition calling for a referendum on the constitutional enshrining of the right to unlimited cash payments. In a country of 8.9 million, the massive show of support for the “right” to pay with cash demonstrates the growing movement against digital currencies promoted by central banks across the world and institutions like the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The deadline for submission of petitions regarding proposals for seven national referendums ended on Monday. As reported by the Austrian daily Kurier, the right to cash payments received the most support of seven different petitions, with 530,938 Austrians signing it.

Biden’s Defense Department Urges Killing U.S. Babies for National Security

by Daniel Greenfield

Biden’s Secretary of Defense sponsored a Rand paper which claims abortion is vital to national security. The paper, “How the Dobbs Decision Could Affect U.S. National Security”, warns that the inability to promptly kill children due to the Supreme Court’s decision will lead to “higher health care, child care, and education costs”.

If you don’t kill ‘em, you’ll have to teach ‘em.

While lefties loved attacking Rand, a think tank created by a defense contractor that is now a subsidiary of Boeing, only when lefties fully took it over did it become capable of this level of sociopathy. Civilized societies didn’t send women into front line combat except as an act of total desperation. The Biden administration has financed a survey arguing that not only should we send women into combat, but that we’ll have deployment issues if we don’t kill their babies.

Moloch wept.

The Rand survey argues that, “Women play an integral role in the U.S. military. A threat to their health and well-being is a potential threat to our national security.” A footnote however cautions that, “although we use the term woman or women throughout this piece, we recognize that these terms are not necessarily inclusive of all individuals who might seek abortion services.”

Detroit Police Chief White Details Fatal Shooting of Porter Burks

Detroit Police Chief James White on Tuesday detailed what occurred earlier this week regarding the fatal shooting of Porter Burks, who was struck at least 15 times by police bullets.

At least four Detroit police officers have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation into Sunday’s fatal shooting of Burks, a 22-year-old mentally ill man who reportedly refused officers’ orders to drop a knife.

White said officers responded to a 5 a.m. 911 call reporting that a man with a knife was having a mental health crisis in an apartment on Littlefield Street on Detroit’s west side. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a family member who advised them that his brother was suffering from a mental health condition and that he was in crisis. He further told police that Burks slashed the tires on his vehicle,

White said officers canvassed the area and made it to the area of Snowden near Lyndon, where they found Burks holding an 8-inch knife walking in the middle of the street. After encountering him on foot, he became irate. The chief said the officers tried to verbally de-escalate the situation.

A crisis intervention officer extended his hand saying, “You’re not in any trouble, just drop the knife and we’ll get you some help.”

When verbal commands failed, White said, one of the officers deployed a Taser, but he said the stun gun didn’t take effect as Burks was standing 6 feet away.

Burks suddenly charged at one of the officers, with knife in hand. Five officers fired 38 shots in 3 seconds.

“Without warning, Burke charged at one of the officers,” White said. “Fearing for his safety, and the other officers fearing for their partner’s safety, (the officers) fired their weapons.

“Despite this horrific act, the officers were able to quickly transition to a first aid mode and began to render first aid. The officers then conveyed Mr. Burks to a local hospital where he, unfortunately, was pronounced dead.”

“This is a tragic situation,” White continued. “Anytime we use force, it’s not the desired outcome. Anytime we use fatal force, it’s the worst outcome.”

Elon Musk Agrees to Buy Twitter at His Original Price of $54.20 Per Share

After a months-long legal battle, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has agreed to buy Twitter for the originally agreed price of $54.20 per share. The deal values Twitter at around $44 billion.

Musk first reached an agreement with the Twitter board to buy the company in April and proposed free speech changes to the platform. However, in May, Musk announced that the deal was “temporarily on hold” pending investigations into spam bots. In July, Musk said he was terminating the deal because Twitter had not provided the necessary information to calculate the number of spam bots on the platform. Twitter subsequently sued Musk to force him to complete the deal. Since July, both parties have been engaged in a months-long legal battle.

Twitter confirmed that it received a letter from Musk and that it intends to sell the company at $54.20 per share.

Florida Woman Accused of Stabbing Sister to Death for Flirting With Boyfriend

Florida prosecutors said Fatiha Marzan stabbed her sister several times after finding out she flirted with her long-distance boyfriend

A Florida woman has been charged with murder after stabbing her sister to death because she reportedly flirted with her boyfriend.

Fatiha Marzan, 21, has found out her long-distance boyfriend of five years had flirted with her 20-year-old sister, identified as Sayma Marzan in court documents, and he would tell her he loved her.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an Orlando home on Sept. 26 where the sisters shared a bedroom, the news outlet reported. They found the sister dead inside.

Fatiha Marzan allegedly called 911 saying she stabbed her sister. She then allegedly admitted to stabbing the girl three to four times in the heart. She reportedly purchased a knife set on Amazon two weeks earlier and hid it in a closet.

“Fatiha knew she had to wait until her family was asleep to stab Sayma because she did not want anyone to hear the incident,” an affidavit stated. “Fatiha consciously decided to kill her sister, Sayma, and the decision was present in her mind at the time of the killing.”

Former Northeastern Employee Arrested, Charged With Staging Reported Package Explosion on Campus

Jason Duhaime, 45, is accused of fabricating the entire incident on Sept. 13 and lying to investigators.

Authorities announced a former Northeastern University employee was arrested Tuesday in connection with the reported package explosion on the Boston campus last month.

Jason Duhaime, 45, allegedly fabricated the entire incident, falsely reporting to 911 and investigators that he had been injured by small sharp objects expelled from a case that he said contained a note that directed threats at the lab where he worked, federal authorities said during a Tuesday morning press conference.

The FBI Boston said Duhaime was arrested Tuesday morning near his residence in San Antonio, Texas. He has been charged with conveying false information and hoaxes related to an explosive device and making material false and fictitious statements in a matter within an executive branch of the U.S. government.

Mandated Diversity Statement Drives Jonathan Haidt to Quit Academic Society

It was probably inevitable that Jonathan Haidt, an academic long concerned about the politicization of academia, would eventually be caught up in the displacement of intellectual inquiry by ideological rigidity.

Last week the New York University (NYU) psychology professor announced that he would resign at the end of the year from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, his primary professional association, because of a newly adopted requirement that everybody presenting research at the group’s conferences explain how their submission advances “equity, inclusion, and anti-racism goals.” It was the sort of litmus test against which he has warned, and which he sees as corroding institutions of higher learning.

Residents Who Sued Minneapolis Over Police Staffing Drop Lawsuit

The lawsuit ultimately resulted in a ruling this past summer, with the Minnesota State Supreme Court ordering the city to bring its police staff to a minimum of 731 officers. The decision came months after voters also rejected a city charter change that would have removed the minimum police staffing requirement, which was being supported by “defund the police” advocates.

After the state supreme court ruling, the city was set to appear in court in the coming weeks to explain why they have been able to meet staffing requirements. With the dismissal, that hearing now won’t happen.

Speaking with FOX 9, Upper Midwest Law Center president Doug Seaton said his clients decided to end the lawsuit because they were pleased with efforts by Mayor Frey to bolster police staffing and his budget proposal for the department. Seaton says the group didn’t want the lawsuit hanging over the city as they attempt to make changes.

Supreme Court Orders Lower Court to Reconsider Massachusetts Gun Control Law

The Supreme Court this week ordered a lower court to reconsider a controversial Massachusetts gun control law, a directive the high court gave in light of recently issued jurisprudence regarding the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The Massachusetts law in question was brought by a state resident who was prohibited from purchasing pistols there due to his having been convicted of unlawfully carrying a handgun in 2004. The U.S. District Court of Massachusetts found that the law in question was constitutional under the Second Amendment, which broadly recognizes a right to possess firearms; an appeals court subsequently affirmed that decision.

The Supreme Court, however, this week ordered the ruling vacated, and the case “remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit for further consideration” in lights of its decision earlier this year in New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. Bruen.

The Precipitous Fall of the Facebook Empire

Outpaced by the competition, targeted by the antitrust authorities, sanctioned for its privacy violations, the former Silicon Valley star no longer inspires confidence. Not for its users. Nor its customers. Nor the stock market. Will it succeed in reinventing itself?

Eighteen years after its creation, the social network is at the centre of all attacks. And rather than reassure, its founder continues to stir up political trouble: in American society, on the markets and even within his company, which now employs more than 83 000 people worldwide. Around three billion people spend every day on one of its platforms, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.

Mark Zuckerberg is also known to have influenced the outcome of the most contentious US presidential election. The true extent of Zuckerberg’s financial contributions only became known after the voting had taken place. In a 40-minute documentary film from Citizens United Productions, Rigged: The Zuckerberg-Funded Plot to Defeat Donald Trump, the machinations of the billionaire were brought to light.

France: Artist Charged After ‘Anti-Semitic’ Mural of Macron as Globalist Puppet

Graffiti depicting French president Emmanuel Macron as a puppet of Jacques Attali is at the centre of a controversy, with Jewish associations denouncing an “anti-Semitic fresco”. The prosecutor in Avignon has decided to prosecute Lekto, the creator of the mural.

Regional French daily Le Dauphiné reported that the artist depicting Emmanuel Macron as a puppet manipulated by Jacques Attali, will now be facing criminal charges.

The large caricature was drawn on the side of a water management building, near the public car park on Rue de la Synagogue in Avignon, a place well known to street artists, who regularly decorate this wall in total freedom.

This particular graffiti shows Emmanuel Macron as Pinochio on a theatre stage. The President of the Republic, dressed as a puppet, is manipulated by strings held by Jacques Attali, the Jewish writer and economist known to be close to the Head of State.

Israel’s Devastating Capitulation to Hezbollah

t is almost impossible to grasp the danger of Israel’s present moment. A month before the Knesset elections, the caretaker government led by Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz is moving full speed ahead with a maritime agreement with an enemy state that it insists will obligate Israel in perpetuity. The Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) agreement Israel is concluding with Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon will fundamentally alter Israel’s maritime borders, deny the Jewish state tens of billions of dollars, which will go instead to a government controlled by Iran’s Lebanese foreign legion, Hezbollah, and transform Hezbollah and Iran into actors in the eastern Mediterranean.

The deal in question has been under negotiation for more than a decade. In 2010, as the natural gas deposits in the eastern Mediterranean were being rapidly explored and developed by Israel, Cyprus, Greece and Egypt, Israel signed agreements with its neighbors to delineate the boundaries of each state’s EEZ. Since Israel and Lebanon are enemy states, Israel did not negotiate an agreement with Lebanon. Lebanon did however negotiate an agreement with Cyprus, as part of which it drew a line delineating the southern boundary of its maritime waters. Israel accepted the Lebanese line and submitted its maritime economic zone borders to the United Nations on the basis of the Lebanese/Cypriot agreement and the bilateral agreement it had concluded with Cyprus.

Given that Hezbollah rejects Israel’s right to exist, Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon surprised no one when it immediately objected to Israel’s map, even though it was based on Lebanon’s own demarcation.

Lebanon demanded 854 square kilometers of Mediterranean waters that formally belonged to Israel. The Lebanese demand included complete control over the massive Qana natural gas field, much of which extends into Israel’s waters. Fred Hoff, who served at the time as the Obama administration’s point man for the eastern Mediterranean, offered a compromise deal which would have given around 55 percent of the area to Lebanon and left 45 percent under Israeli sovereignty. Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon rejected the deal, and there the negotiations stood, more or less, until last July…

Greenwald: No One Talks About Ending Ukraine War for Fear of Being Labelled a ‘Traitor’

Journalist Glenn Greenwald noted Monday that talks to deescalate or end the conflict in Ukraine are virtually nonexistent because the legacy media and political elites have nurtured an atmosphere where to do so is considered ‘unpatriotic’.

Speaking to Tucker Carlson, Greenwald stated “There is a very real threat of a nuclear exchange, or even a direct confrontation with Russia and the United States. And over what? Over who governs and rules, not even Ukraine, but the Donbas, the eastern region in Ukraine, where a majority of people actually identify as ethnic Russians and want to be part of Russia.”

Greenwald continued, “Yet there’s almost no debate about whether we should be sending huge amounts of money there and risking the lives of American citizens through the possibility of a nuclear war.”

Kharkov and Mobilization

by Jacques Baud

The recapture of the Kharkov region at the beginning of September appears to be a success for Ukrainian forces. Our media exulted and relayed Ukrainian propaganda to give us a picture that is not entirely accurate. A closer look at the operations might have prompted Ukraine to be more cautious.

From a military point of view, this operation is a tactical victory for the Ukrainians and an operational/strategic victory for the Russian coalition…

For the Ukrainians, it is a Pyrrhic victory. They advanced into Kharkov without encountering any resistance and there was hardly any fighting. Instead, the area became a huge “killing zone” (“???? ?????????”), where Russian artillery would destroy an estimated number of 4,000-5,000 Ukrainians (about 2 brigades), while the Russian coalition suffered only marginal losses as there was no fighting.

India: Hindu Police Officer’s Throat Cut With Ketchup Bottle, Muslim Domestic Help Arrested

Hemant Lohia Murder: Based on early investigations and security footage, the police are focusing on his 23-year-old domestic help, Yasir Ahmed, hired six months ago.

Prem Singh Mankotia | HENB | Jammu | Oct 4, 2022:: A senior Hindu police officer in Jammu and Kashmir was found dead at home late last night, with his throat slit and burn injuries on his body.

His Muslim domestic help, Yasir Ahmed the prime suspect in the case, has been taken into custody.

Hemant Kumar Lohia, the officer in charge of prisons in Jammu and Kashmir, was murdered at a friend’s house on the outskirts of Jammu, where he had been staying with his family while his own home was being renovated.

Mr Lohia, 57, was appointed Director General of Prisons (J&K) in August.

Based on early investigations and security footage, the police are focusing on his 23-year-old Muslim domestic help, hired six months ago.

The killer had first suffocated Lohia to death and also used a broken ketchup bottle to slit his throat and later tried to set the body on fire.

The guards present at the residence of the officer saw fire inside Lohia’s room. They had to break open the door as it was locked from inside, he said.

Upon visiting Lohia’s residence, the ADGP said the preliminary examination of the scene of crime points towards murder.

Yasir was on the run after the murder.

Police said Yasir was arrested from a field in the Kanhachak area after a major all-night manhunt. Interrogations with him in the case have begun…

    • Know what the poope says while on his balcony over looking the crowd below?

While crossing himself he yells “All you damned Italians Get Offa My Lawn.

  1. Ok, so thats what the Vatican says:
“Vatican cardinal said that the science on climate change is settled, and there is no place for any discussion with those who deny the climate crisis.”

Hm, wasnt it also settled that Earth was the exact middlepoint of the universe according to the church?
And dissenters were tortured and burned at a stake.

When will this happen to climate change deniers?
Or as the pope is a leftwing “guy”, will it be like a Cambodian / Red China / Communist Re-Education camp?
Recant or you are taken behind the shed where a 9mm will “heal” you.

  2. And that rug Angela Merkel, she got award !!, for distraction on own country,, and betrayal own people, it’s just bizarre, that women should be in prison.. , no words ..

  3. re: Jesuit Cardinal Czerny and ‘climate change’ :

Every time some woke Jesuit (or other Catholic clergyman) says or does something stupid, people who have an animus against the Catholic Church take it as an excuse to bash the Church, often for things having nothing to do with what the idiot said or did, and frequently for things many centuries old. This irks me.

As an older (Traditionalist) Roman Catholic I’m fortunate to have received my education in the Faith before the Second Vatican Council of the early ‘Sixties. Catholics of my vintage know that we are obliged, in Religion, to pay heed to what our clergy says ONLY when they are teaching in matters of Faith and Morals.

( Further, any such teaching must be consistent with the authentic, perennial doctrine of the Church … which we all can know by reading it ! Beyond that, it is our choice whether or not to give a respectful hearing to a clergyman, according to his age, experience, formal education, holiness, etc.)

Pretty much everything else comes under the heading of ‘prudential judgment,’ where lay people are free to form their own opinions. When bishops and cardinals start spouting off on national economic policies (or climate change), they are outside their field of expertise and competence, and legitimate authority.

Prominent Catholic laymen (such as William Simon, Treasury Secretary, with a group of others including Michael Novak) have sometimes issued their own national letters of rebuke to the bishops, calling them on the carpet when the bishops have issued national letters on economic policy, overreaching their competence, and abusing (and undermining) their own moral authority.

The Church DOES have a body of Social Teaching, but in the modern era almost all of that pre-dates the Second Vatican Council. It is also the body of teaching that has been co-opted and distorted by the Modernists, under the label of ‘Social Justice.’ (And that seems to be a pet project of Jesuits, along with ‘liberation theology’. The modern stuff is pure politics.)

Many non-Catholics have been brought up to believe that Catholics don’t think for themselves, and are obliged to blindly obey whatever they’re told by the Church – in short, that Catholics are brainwashed automatons. Obviously, they don’t know any real, live Catholics.

To reassure those who think this way, let me say that Catholics are under no religious obligation to pay any more attention to what Cardinal Czerny has to say about ‘climate change’ than we are to pay attention to the local woke, Democratic schoolboard superintendant. That’s how much ‘clout’ his statement has.

We only know about it because it meshes with the agenda of others : the media, WEF, UN, Schwab, Soros, etc.

The Argentinean pope is one of the very worst we’ve had in centuries … but the Church has survived many bad popes. ( I’ll concede, though, that it DOES look as though we’re going to need an extra measure of Divine Assistance to survive this one. )

As a fellow educated by the Jesuits, it hurts me to say this, but it may be time to suppress the Society of Jesus once again. The Church has been infiltrated and severely compromised for a long time … and the Jesuits aren’t helping. )

    An excellent article, related :
Two Views on the Economy: A Comparison of the Bishops’ and Lay Commission’s Letters “, by James Hitchcock, in Crisis Magazine, Feb. 1, 1985

    https://www.crisismagazine.com/1985/two-views-on-the-economy-a-comparison-of-the-bishops-and-lay-commissions-letters

    • There’s a joke that goes something like this:

A Catholic bishop is at the pulpit, with an economics book upside down, spouting collectivist nonsense. One of the faithful says, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they talk about.”

    • Not Catholic and can’t claim a great deal of knowledge about it, but I do know something about history. It’s outrageous how the Galileo lie is the go to slander whenever “science” and religion are parts of a story. Galileo Galilei , Michael Mann, and Anthony Fauci would get along famously. Galileo was lucky Maffeo Barberini was his friend, he got off light.

    • I believe someone has written a book which documents the takeover of the Catholic Church by homosexuals and them proudly announcing they had 80% control. It was in a video discussing archbishop Vigano’S book about the WEF and great reset.

      • The Jesuits are homosexuals and pedophiles. Remember Vatican Two. That is when it happened.

  4. The church also thought the science was “settled” when it put Galileo under house arrest. This notion of a “settled” science is really scary, coming as it is from people who should know better. After all, they have the full transcript of Galileo’s trial in the Vatican archives.

Christ!! What’s wrong with these people?

      • My grandmother believed only Methodists went to heaven. She wasn’t much of a Christian either.

        • The Seventh Day Adventist, The Roman Catholic church and the Church of Christ say the say.

NONE of them teach or adhere to the Holy Bible because they are legalist, Mary worshipers and pedophiles and sodomites.

    • That isn’t a fair telling of it. The Church never said, “the science is settled.” They said, “until you can prove it, definitively, don’t teach it as fact.” Galileo could not, ever. Through obtuseness or hubris he inserted himself into Church politics by ridiculing the Pope in his “Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems” while simultaneously, consciously, violating the terms of his 1616 “parole” (his oath) to not teach heliocentrism as fact without being able to prove it, which he could not do.

Maffeo Barberini (Urban VIII) was considered one of the most intelligent, urbane men in Europe. Most that knew them both thought him every bit Galileo’s intellectual equal, and his ego was also a match for Galileo’s, which is saying something. Galileo’s arrogance would not have allowed him to recognize a lesser being as a friend, and friends they clearly were as nearly as two such egos could recognize friendship. Barberini had been instrumental in securing the very favorable parole conditions for Galileo in 1616 and largely agreed with the theory of heliocentrism; but, the leap from speculation around the dinner table to radically changing Doctrine for the Catholic world was far to great a stretch and Barberini took his responsibility to protect the Church deadly seriously. With Tilly dead after the Battle of the Rain, Gustavus Adolphus’ Protestant army ranging about Germany, Cardinal Richelieu spending French Catholic money to raise Protestant armies against Catholic princes, The Spanish Church involved in all sorts of political skullduggery to seize control the Catholic Church over all, and the necessity of, for the first time, an armed guard to accompany the Pope in his travels within the Vatican because of proven assassination plots 1632 was not the year to stand in front of the Inquisition to answer for publishing a story apparently designed as a thumb in the eye of the Papacy as an institution, an undermining of Church authority, and painting the Pope as a fool. It was just too much; and Galileo still couldn’t prove heliocentrism. Proof would arrive in the calculations of Isaac Newton, which the Church accepted, who would be born the year Galileo died, and the “house arrest” Galileo was placed under was no Gulag by any stretch. If anything the Church was, however unconsciously, standing up for science by demanding proof, which Galileo, out of sheer hubris, could not admit he did not have.

The Church fully deserves criticism for many things, but this isn’t one of them. This slander was one of several invented during the Enlightenment to bolster reputations by creating straw opponents to denigrate. It ranks with the, “Before us (the Enlightenment) everyone believed the Earth was flat,” lie.

A “Vatican Cardinal” running his mouth about something that is outside the purview of Church Doctrine is just some guy running his mouth. Barberini, and most of the Church leadership, understood that Doctrine can not be based on supposition, conjecture, or fads; otherwise you become the Church of What’s Happening Now, and soon no Church at all (hello post-modern American Protestantism).

        • I apologize if I come across as to pedantic. It’s a failing I’m often accused, and probably guilty, of.

      • Thanks for that, Tom ! There’s no substitute for examining both sides of the History.

For those interested in that sort of thing, I highly recommend Prof. Rodney Stark’s “Bearing False Witness: Debunking Centuries of Anti-Catholic History.” It covers about ten of the ‘Black Legends’ against the Church (which isn’t all of them, by any means).

Stark isn’t a Catholic, and relies on evidence for what he writes. That may reassure potential readers. From over 400 reviews, his book gets a 4.8 out of 5 rating on Amazon.

        • I have no brief with the Catholic Church one way or another. I consider myself Protestant by studied choice and a poor excuse of a Christian by weakness of character. However, I have to be honest and give full credit to the Catholic Church, and it alone as an institution warts and all, was responsible for holding the darkness at bay for at least a thousand years thereby allowing the rise of what we today call Western Civilization. I look at the rest of the world and say, “There, but for the grace of God (and the tenacity of Catholic Church), go we.”

The other aspect of the lie I detest is the implied nobility of Galileo. It is hard to imagine an individual of lower character than Galileo Galilei. Not someone I would want my children to chose as a role model or mentor. Brilliant yes, but by all accounts a real low-life as a human being.
