Inflation in Germany Hits Near 50-Year High Amid Energy Crisis

Inflation in Germany rose to 8.8% in August, a nearly 50-year record that comes amid an energy crisis in the country.

August inflation beat out Germany’s previous record of 8.5% set in July, a level the country hasn’t seen since 1973. The spike comes despite measures Germany took to stem inflation last month, including cheaper public transportation and lower gas taxes, according to Reuters.

“Judging by the current inflation rate and what is still to come, the [European Central Bank] should actually launch a jumbo interest rate step,” economist Thomas Gitzel told Reuters.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, the runaway favourite to succeed Boris Johnson as Conservative (Tory) Party leader and Prime Minister next week, has promised “immediate help” with soaring energy bills — but refuses to outline specific policies.

Truss, a Liberal Democrat turned left-leaning anti-Brexit Tory turned favoured party leadership candidate of the pro-Brexit Tory right — somehow — is all but guaranteed to have beaten Rishi Sunak, the former Chancellor of the Exchequer, in the party membership vote on who should replace Boris Johnson, which is now closed.

Activists More Than Halfway to Forcing Constitutional Amendment Convention

Authored by Brian McGlinchey via Stark Realities

Though it’s received relatively little attention, a conservative-led drive to call a convention to consider amendments to the U.S. Constitution has been making steady progress, and is now more than halfway toward realizing its goal.

At a time when Americans are increasingly polarized — to the extent that 43% think a civil war will erupt in the next decade — should you be alarmed or enthused?

Article V of the Constitution provides two avenues for amendments. Under the first one, Congress proposes amendments that are enacted if three-fourths of the state legislatures approve them. That’s the way all amendments have been advanced so far.

Conservative activists want to knock the dust off the other Article V provision, which empowers state legislatures to “call a convention for proposing amendments.”

Judge Dismisses Carter Page Lawsuit Against FBI Despite ‘Deeply Troubling’ Surveillance

Authored by Katabella Roberts via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours)

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Carter Page, a former associate of President Donald Trump, over the FBI’s controversial surveillance of him as part of its investigation into the Trump campaign.

U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich issued the ruling on Thursday stating that Page, who was an informal presidential campaign adviser to Trump in 2016, cannot sue the FBI or other former officials involved in the $75 million lawsuit (pdf).

Page filed the suit in 2020 against the FBI, the Justice Department, and multiple former FBI officials for damages stemming from what he called the “unlawful spying” against him over the now disproven allegations that the Trump campaign was colluding with Russia.

“We are actively working with law enforcement to investigate allegations of an illegal attempt to sell a voter assist terminal acquired in Michigan,” Benson said in a statement.

10 Dead in Stabbing Attacks, Some Apparently Random, In Saskatchewan

Two suspects are at large. 15 people are known to be wounded and hospitalized. Some victims may have been targeted, Royal Mounted Canadian Police say.

Ten people have died and 15 others were hospitalized in a series of stabbings in Canada’s Saskatchewan province, police said Sunday.

Two suspects were at large, and authorities told residents of the province to consider sheltering in place.

The attacks, which took place Sunday morning in James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, involved 13 locations, with at least 15 people being treated at hospitals, officials said at a news conference.

It was possible more victims took private vehicles to seek treatment, authorities said.

Rhonda Blackmore, the commanding officer of the Saskatchewan Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said it was one of the worst mass killings in the province’s history, if not the worst.

“We believe some of the victims have been targeted by the suspects, and others have been attacked randomly,” she said at a news conference Sunday afternoon.

Authorities named Damien Sanderson, 31, and Myles Sanderson, 30, as wanted suspects. They were believed to be traveling in a black Nissan Rogue SUV with Saskatchewan plate identification 119 MPI.

Most Canadians Agreed Emergencies Act Was an Overreach: Internal Polling

Most Canadians believe the Trudeau government overreached when invoking the Emergencies Act in February to clear peaceful Freedom Convoy protestors from Ottawa’s core.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, an internal report provided to cabinet titled Continuous Qualitative Data Collection Of Canadians’ Views found that most Canadians actually supported the movement.

“Though a small number of participants felt implementing the Emergencies Act was a necessary step given the disturbance caused by the seemingly indefinite nature of the protests, most felt this action represented significant ‘over-reach’ by the federal government as they interpreted this as limiting the right of these Canadians to peaceful protest,” wrote researchers.

Eight in French Terror Court Over Jihadist Truck Attack That Killed 86, Injured 450

NICE, France (AP) — It was Bastille Day on the French Riviera.

A lawyer was strolling with her mother, friends and a colleague along the beachfront boulevard in Nice to celebrate France’s national day. Four young sisters from Poland had spent a day of sightseeing. Two Russian students were on a summer break. And a Texas family, on vacation with young children, was taking in some of Europe’s classic sights. The bright lights of the packed boardwalk glittered along the bay like a string of stars.

Those lights would mark a pathway of murder and destruction that night of July 14, 2016. Shortly after the end of a fireworks display, a 19-tonne (21 U.S.-ton) truck careered through the crowds for 2 kilometres (11/4 miles) like a snow plough, hitting person after person.

The final death toll was 86, including 15 children and adolescents, while 450 others were injured.

Eight people go on trial on Monday in a special French terrorism court accused of helping the attacker, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, who left a gruesome trail of crushed and mangled bodies across 15 city blocks. Bouhlel himself was killed by police the same night.

According to a new study released by the conservative thinktank Szazadvég, Hungarians reject almost all planned and already imposed sanctions against Russia.

In the context of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, the European Union has decided to impose sanctions against Russia. Meanwhile, it has emerged that the sanctions already imposed have not lived up to expectations and have instead plunged EU member states into crisis as attempts to divest from Russian energy sources have led to extreme uncertainty and increases in oil, electricity and gas prices, Szazadvég states.

The survey conducted on the sample of 1000 shows a resounding 81% opposition to the European Union and its member states sending arms to Ukraine, and the same level of opposition to banning Russian tourists and tourism from Europe. Only 16% and 17% of respondents agree with these two proposals.

TikTok Suspends Remix News Over Video Showcasing Racist Anti-White Slurs During Denmark Protest

Paludan is a divisive figure, and he has burned the Quran in predominately Muslim neighborhoods in Sweden, a move that sparked mass riots earlier this year and made national headlines across the country. Due to the amount of property damage and the dozens of police officers injured, left-wing Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson said that “integration has failed in Sweden.”

India: Allegation of Hellish Torture, Rape and Murder of Hindu Tribal Girl in Dumka by a Muslim Guy

Dumka Hindu Santal Girl Murder: Tribal girl killed and hanged from a tree after raped and impregnated by one Arman Ansari in Jharkhand as alleged.

Sushila Mahato | HENB | Ranchi | Sept 4:, 2022:: One attack after another, atrocities, rape and murder… Jharkhand is becoming an Islamic paradise for crimes against Hindu girls and women. This time the hanging body of a tribal girl (Santhali- Hindu) was recovered in Shrimada village of Dumka. Preliminary investigations suggest that the girl was raped and murdered and her body was then hanged from a tree. Local residents were the first to see the girl’s hanging body early Friday morning. Then they informed the police. The body of the girl has been taken for post-mortem.

According to the police, the victim girl used to live in Dumka with her relative and worked as a local construction labour. A local Muslim youth named Arman Ansari allegedly raped and killed the Hindu tribal girl. The police have already arrested the youth. He is being interrogated. Meanwhile, according to sources, the accused youth made a love relationship with the tribal girl and established physical relation with her. The girl got pregnant and asked the young man to marry her. But the accused refused to marry. After that the young man raped and killed her.

The police said that the whole matter is being investigated. Whether the girl was killed earlier and hanged from the tree to prove suicide or not, it can be said for sure only after getting the post-mortem report.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren tweeted after knowing the whole incident. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the Dumka incident. The accused has already been arrested in that incident. I have directed the Dumka police to take strict legal action so that the victim juvenile gets justice. May the girl’s soul rest in peace and pray to God to give her family strength during this difficult time.”

On the other hand, opposition leader Babulal Marandi also tweeted, tagging Union Home Minister Amit Shah, “Your blood will boil when you hear about this incident of Dumkar. Yesterday, a young tribal girl was raped and hanged from a tree. The accused has been arrested. But how many tribal women have to be victims of such crimes in Jharkhand?”

In another tweet Marandi wrote to Soren: “Heard that you are coming to Dumka to meet the family of Santal tribal girl who is a victim of Arman Ansari’s jihad. I want to know, from whose fear, you are not taking the name of the accused? The incident came to the attention of the police yesterday. Was it told to you or not? Who were you waiting for to open your mouth?”

Hindu organisations in Dumka are contemplating to run a special campaign to aware the Hindu families not to allow any relationship of their daughters to any Muslim boys that may lead to fatal consequences of Love Jihad.

A few days ago, a 12 standard girl student was set on fire and died afterwards in Dumka for rejecting a love proposal of a Muslim boy. Now, the alleged rape and murder of a tribal girl by another Muslim boy in Dumka created a panic in the surrounding areas. The opposition is questioning the law and order in Congress and JMM-ruled Jharkhand in successive incidents like these.

Lightfoot: Texas Shipping Migrants to Sanctuary City Chicago is “Racist”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott this week announced a new destination for migrants being bused out of the Lone Star State: Chicago, a self-proclaimed “sanctuary city.”

Two buses filled with migrants who illegally entered the United States arrived in Chicago’s Union Station at 7:30 pm on Wednesday. There were more than 75 aboard, and various reports suggest most were from Venezuela.

After the drop-off was complete, Abbott issued a statement in which he announced that Chicago would now join Washington, DC and New York City as a regular drop-off location as part of “Operation Lone Star”:

“President Biden’s inaction at our southern border continues putting the lives of Texans—and Americans—at risk and is overwhelming our communities.

Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.”

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot isn’t pleased. In a Thursday afternoon tirade, Lightfoot heaped scorn on Abbott:.

American Library Association Removes Webpage Promoting ‘Secret’ LGBT Messaging in Libraries

Authored by Jackson Elliott via The Epoch Times

The American Library Association (ALA) destroyed a webpage that taught librarians how to secretly promote pro-LGBT messaging.

The original page, written by Maryland librarian Tess Goldwasser, told librarians how to sneak pro-LGBT books into towns that don’t want them.

“Do you work for a library in a small, rural, conservative community? Are you a frontline staff member there, with no managerial or administrative authority? Do you wish you could do more to make your library more inclusive to the LGBTQIA++ community, but meet with resistance?” the post about LGBT book month read. “I hope it’s not just me!”

  1. Well who would have thought. The UK is now anti white male and their child bearing women folk. Not a peep. Easy to see how a tyrant like Turkey-man can’t stand steady for a moment. So this is how huge continents got plundered.

  2. Now it’s slowly starting to unroll.

Pregnant women and vaccination against covid-19

Vaccination against covid-19 is recommended for all pregnant women. There is no evidence that vaccination during pregnancy has a negative effect on the pregnant woman or the fetus. If you are pregnant, you can read more about vaccination against covid-19 here.

Most people who become ill with covid-19 have mild symptoms and do not need to seek medical attention. But a respiratory infection like covid-19 can be serious and pose risks to pregnant women, especially in late pregnancy.

Studies show that pregnant women have a slightly higher risk of becoming seriously ill with covid-19. The National Board of Health and Welfare considers that severe covid-19 in the latter part of pregnancy increases the risk of early delivery. Therefore, pregnant women after week 20 are considered a risk group.

Research has shown a very rare but serious complication in which covid-19 can cause damage to the placenta. In some cases, the damage has led to foetal death.

All the evidence suggests that vaccination against covid-19 also protects against this rare complication and so far there are no reports of pregnant women who have been vaccinated against covid-19 being affected.

All pregnant women recommended for vaccination
If you are pregnant, you can be vaccinated against covid-19 throughout your pregnancy. The National Board of Health recommends that the vaccination be carried out after week 12 of pregnancy.

It is common practice in Sweden not to vaccinate pregnant women during early pregnancy, even though the vaccines pose no real risk to pregnant women. The need for protection against covid-19 is also considered to be greatest in the later part of pregnancy. If there are medical reasons to make a different assessment, early vaccination against covid-19 may still be considered appropriate, for example if the pregnant woman has some additional risk factor such as diabetes or hypertension.
