At Dauphin County Walmart Shooting, Shoppers Left Their Carts and ‘Started Running’

Harrisburg residents Raven Persad and Elvis Valentin dropped into Walmart in Swatara Township on Sunday afternoon to pick up a couple of items.

But the married couple, in the store with an estimated 500 other people, left without buying anything after they said that they heard the sound of a “boom.”

“We were in the pasta aisle and all of a sudden, I heard a big boom,” Valentin said. “Then I just turned around. My wife told me ‘Did you hear that? It sounds like a gunshot.’ Then one more minute passed, next thing people were screaming and running out. Not even a minute [more] like a couple of seconds.”

Persad said they began running toward the front exit doors.

“I left my cart there and we started running,” she said. “Everyone was rushing out and it was overwhelming. I was like, ‘oh my God, I can’t believe this is happening right now.’ When I got in the car I had a whole panic attack, I was hyperventilating.

“You read about it on TV or in the news, but you don’t feel the fear until it actually happens,” she said.

Swatara Township police say the incident took place at the Walmart located on Grayson Road at 5:17 p.m. The shooting was an isolated incident between two individuals, according to police. Dauphin County dispatch reported the call several minutes later, saying someone was shot in the electronics section of the store.

The suspect fled from the scene, according to police. The victim sustained a minor injury and is cooperating with the investigation…

Forget Free Speech: Rushdie’s Fatwa is Winning

“Salman Rushdie is a champion of free speech, bravely standing up for Western ideals when so many shy away from the fight. If only more people could follow his example, instead of taking the path of appeasement in the name of cultural sensitivity, the long years of murder and mayhem wrought by the Islamists on the West might come to an end… I know all too well the threat Islamism poses. After I came out as an apostate, I was forced into a bubble of protection that still surrounds me to this day. I have 24-hour security. I still receive death threats. My friend, the sweet, vulgar, brilliant Theo Van Gogh was murdered simply for making a film with me. His attacker used a knife to stab a letter into Theo’s chest: it said that I would be next”.

That is how Ayaan Hirsi Ali reacted to the attempted murder of Salman Rushdie in Chautauqua, New York.

Many of the slogans, paraphrases on “free speech” and demonstrations of solidarity to the author of The Satanic Verses hide a terrible and different reality: the fatwa is gaining ground, and more and more people have to live under protection due to criticism of Islam.

Aleksandr Dugin

Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin (…born 7 January 1962) is a Russian political philosopher, analyst, and strategist, known for his fascist views.

Born into a military family, Dugin was an anti-communist dissident during the 1980s. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Dugin co-founded the National Bolshevik Party with Eduard Limonov, a party which espoused National Bolshevism, which he later left. In 1997, he published Foundations of Geopolitics where he outlined his worldview, calling for Russia to rebuild its influence through alliances and conquest, and to challenge the rival Atlanticist “empire” led by the United States. Dugin continued to further develop his ideology of neo-Eurasianism, founding the Eurasia Party in 2002 and writing further books including The Fourth Political Theory (2009).

Dugin also served as an advisor to the State Duma speaker Gennadiy Seleznyov, and a leading member of the ruling United Russia party, Sergey Naryshkin. He was the head of the Department of Sociology of International Relations at Moscow State University from 2009 to 2014, losing the position due to backlash over comments regarding clashes in Ukraine.

Dugin’s influence within the Russian government and on Russian president Vladimir Putin is disputed, with Dugin sometimes being referred to as “Putin’s brain”, responsible for shaping Russian foreign policy, while others contend that Dugin’s influence within the government is limited and has been greatly exaggerated, an impression given by correlations between his work and Russian foreign policy.

Sikh Girl Abducted, Raped, Forcibly Converted in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Massive Protests Erupt

Seeing the discrimination and oppression, hundreds of Sikhs and other locals blocked the road and demanded justice.

Samsher Singh | Buner | Aug 21, 2022:: Sikh community in the Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan organised massive protests after a Sikh girl was forcibly abducted, and converted to Islam on the evening of August 20.

Dina Kaur, daughter of Gurucharan Singh, was reported to be abducted at gunpoint, raped, and married to her abductor with the help of local administration and police.

A Sikh protester said, “I appeal to the people of Pakistan and those living abroad that we are being oppressed and attacked. This protest will continue till we get our daughter back. She was forcibly abducted yesterday with the help of the administration. The administration of Buner is involved in it as they tortured her and convinced her to get converted and get married. They misled us for the entire day”.

He added, “They have not registered our FIR in the police station. We also visited other senior officials but they have not given us any satisfactory answers. They are partners in this crime. With the help of the administration, our child was forced to sign the documents. I appeal to the Sikh community of the world to join us and protest against such crime. We will continue this protest till our child is not handed over to us”.

Another Sikh protester said, “We have had good relations with our Muslim neighbours. Such attacks, torture and forced conversion of our children are not acceptable to us. I appeal to the Muslim and Pashtun brothers to raise our voices for us and help us to get justice. We will not stay here anymore If you don’t stand with us.”

Many Sikh families are settled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and they are mostly engaged in businesses. The minority community, including the Sikhs, Hindus and Christians from different parts of Pakistan have been facing persecution and their girls are regularly being kidnapped, raped and married to their abductors.

Many families from Pakistan have already migrated to India and other countries to protect their daughters and other family members.

Sikh activist and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Manjinder Singh Sirsa highlighted the matter of such plights of Sikhs in Pakistan and drew the attention of Indian External Affairs Minister to address the matter suitably.

In a tweet, Sirsa conveyed: “No Human Rights for Minorities in Pakistan: In Peer Baba Kpk province, Sikh girl teacher Deena Kaur was kidnapped yesterday and today her family was told that her Nikah has been done. The local police didn’t even register the FIR & has told the Sikh community to stay silent”.

The Jihadi extremists and Islamic fanatics in Pakistan always harm the minority Hindu and Sikhs in Pakistan with the help of majority Muslim people and the Government in power there. No human rights are saved for the minority people in Pakistan from the beginning of its Islamic supremacy.

Baker confirmed the ban on another page she runs that is not under her name. She wrote: “We’re gone but we’re not out — not quite yet.” The page that was unpublished had 97,000 followers.

First Reading: How Canada Ignored Warnings That Euthanasia Would Immediately Go Too Far

Barely a week now goes by without some new case emerging of a sick Canadian being offered assisted death in lieu of treatment. Most recently, it was a Canadian combat veteran who was casually offered the option of dying after he approached Veteran Affairs Canada for help with his PTSD.

It’s a nightmare scenario that was envisioned by no shortage of ethicists and health figures when assisted death was first written into Canadian law. But with few exceptions, these warnings were ignored by the various court rulings that ultimately forced Canada into adopting the world’s most permissive regime of legal euthanasia.

It was the 2015 Supreme Court decision Carter v. Canada that first struck down Criminal Code bans on doctor-assisted suicide and compelled the House of Commons to encode legal euthanasia into law.

[Comment: VivaFrei says online: “Over 3% of deaths in Canada in 2021 were medically assisted deaths. 10,064 MAIDS of 307,000 total “

Here is a report about assisted suicides in California: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CHSI/CDPH%20Document%20Library/CDPH_End_of_Life%20_Option_Act_Report_2021_FINAL.pdf

If I’m reading the report correctly there were less than 1,000 assisted suicides in California in 2021. Canada has somewhat less people than California, but more assisted suicides in 2021.]

New Jersey Teachers Union Calls Parents ‘Extremists’ In New Ad

COVID ignited an increase in the involvement of parents in the education of their children. Virtual education and over the top mandate rules brought an influx of parents to school board meetings. The woke agenda and disturbing content further fueled parental engagement. But school boards and teachers unions are not happy to have increased parental oversight.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib claimed that parents simply speaking at a school board meeting is ‘White Supremacy.’

“Jobs have no gender, but unfortunately, many of our state’s laws still use gendered language when discussing professions that are practiced by people of all genders,” state Sen. Anna Kaplan said of the bill she sponsored with Assemblyman Danny O’Donnell.

  1. Re: USA: John Fetterman says he wants to release “one-third” of detainees, etc.

Well, this figure, possibly (?) plucked out of the air, makes no sense without context.

However, the US does imprison more of its miscreants, for longer, than any other Western “liberal” democracy, without much apparent effect on crime rates. Unless Americans are more intrinsically wicked than Brits, Germans, Australians etc (most unlikely, imho) some kind of reappraisal is surely overdue?

    • It’s not the Americans of European heritage ole boy, it is those of the bloody 3rd world that drive the crime rates through the roof, just like in jolly once great Britain. If we brought back the rope and put in express lanes this nonsense would stop.

  2. Dugin is given more space than he actually has. In Russia, there is only one ideology – to plunder the country, the population, natural resources. Dugin was assigned to come up with an ersatz cover for all this. Before that, he had some kind of esoteric community.
Dugin is the son of a GRU general. Strangers near the Kremlin are not fed.
If I were talented, I would write a novel about Dugin in the spirit of Faust. He sells his soul, and in the end, Mephistopheles takes away his most precious thing – his daughter.

I haven’t read Dugin. Or read. I do not remember. Perhaps all this seemed to me nonsense.

You know, in Russia on the eve of 1917, a lot was written, talked, thought… And then it all burned down in the fire of the revolution.
