Cost of Living Crisis: UK Sees Double-Digit Inflation, Highest Level in 40 Years

LONDON (AP) — Britain’s inflation rate rose to a new 40-year high of 10.1% in July, a faster pace than in the U.S. and Europe as climbing food prices in the United Kingdom tightened a cost-of-living squeeze fueled by the soaring cost of energy.

The double-digit surge in consumer prices over a year earlier was higher than analysts’ central forecast of 9.8% and a jump from the annual rate of 9.4% in June, the Office for National Statistics said Wednesday. The increase was largely due to rising prices for food and staples, including toilet paper and toothbrushes, it said.

Electric Vehicles Just Went UP in Price

Electric car manufacturers have hiked their prices pretty much across the board, effectively completely cancelling out government tax credit incentives signed into law by Democrats this week.

Under the ‘Inflation Reduction Act’, which economic experts say will not reduce inflation, anyone buying a new EV with a battery that was built in North America is eligible for a $7500 credit.

That already discounts most EVs.

Less than a third are eligible

As for the rest, well they’ve gone up in price by thousands of dollars.

Inflation: 8.9% in the Eurozone for July is a New Record

In the Eurozone, annual inflation reached a record level of 8.9 percent in July due to the rise in energy prices.

The European Statistics Office (Eurostat) has released annual inflation data for the European Union (EU) and Eurozone for July .

Accordingly, annual inflation in the Eurozone, which was 8.6 percent in June, rose to 8.9 percent in July, in line with expectations.

The Democrats’ “Inflation Reduction Act” — which according to the Congressional Budget Office will raise taxes on the middle class to the tune of $20 billion — not to mention unleash an army of IRS agents on working class Americans over the next decade, was made possible by Bill Gates and (in smaller part) Larry Summers, who have been known to hang out together.

Biden Administration Refuses to Disclose Report on Social Media Scanning of Visitors to the US

In 2019, the Trump administration introduced online social media screening for those seeking visas to visit the US. It meant that applicants have to submit all of their social media handles, active, private, and even rarely-used, for screening before being granted a visa.

The policy was implemented alongside other immigration policies, like the travel ban from designated Middle East countries.

While the Biden Administration has revoked the travel ban, it is defending the social media screening policy and has not delivered on its promise to produce a report on the effectiveness of the policy.

Caroline Glick: Biden Ushers in an Era of Nuclear Chaos and War

The Biden administration is on the verge of closing its long-sought for nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Europeans distributed a “final draft” of an agreement to the Americans and the Iranians last week. While the text was billed as a “take it or leave it” offer, neither the Europeans nor the Americans walked away after Iran returned with reservations. Instead, President Joe Biden and his advisors are avidly looking into Iran’s positions and are reportedly trying to incorporate them into the agreement which will likely be concluded quickly, if only the Iranians will agree.

Back in 2015, news that the Obama-Biden administration was closing in on a final draft of what became its nuclear deal with Iran provoked a mass public outcry. The majority of Americans opposed the deal. Many key Democrats opposed it. The entire Republican Party opposed it. News of the deal was greeted by mass protests in Washington, New York and countrywide.

Today, the opposite is the case. News of Biden’s deal is greeted with yawns and apathy.

The difference is doubly striking because since 2015, the warnings the deal’s opponents sounded have all been borne out by events…

Facebook Fact Check Censors Factual Claim IRS is Arming Agents to Use Deadly Force

Facebook has deployed one of its infamous ‘fact checkers’ to suggest that the completely accurate claim that the IRS is seeking to arm more agents to use deadly force was “partly false information.”

Earlier this month, an IRS job posting was uncovered that announced the agency was looking to hire people who are ready to kill.

The job ad listed one of the “major duties” of IRS agents to be able to “carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”

Harriet Hageman Sees Her Landslide Victory Over Liz Cheney in Wyoming as Beacon for the Nation: ‘We’Re Fed Up’

Harriet Hageman, the Republican nominee for Wyoming’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, predicted Wednesday that her primary victory over Rep. Liz Cheney would serve as a beacon for the rest of the country, which she described as “fed up” with Washington, D.C., and its “corruption.”

In an interview with Fox News Digital following her primary election win, Hageman said her victory was a direct reflection of Wyoming voters rejecting Cheney as their representative, as well as their dissatisfaction with her and Democrats’ treatment of former President Donald Trump. She laid out her intention to bring Washington, D.C., back to prioritizing “accountability and success.”

“Wyoming has spoken, and it was a resounding victory,” Hageman said when asked how she felt following her win. “I think that it is a reflection on a couple of things. One is Liz Cheney. It’s a reflection on her and the fact that we don’t want her allegedly representing us in Congress anymore.”

[Comment: Liz Cheney lost by 37 points.]

Trump Claims Protesting Georgia Election Puts ‘You in Jail’ While Murderers Are ‘Quickly’ Set Free

Former President Trump took to social media after midnight on Thursday morning, where he criticized the state of Georgia for continuing an investigation into those who challenged the outcome of their 2020 presidential elections results.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed the state prosecutes those who insist voter fraud took place in the election more harshly than those who commit murders in the state.

“So, let me get this straight! In the Great State of Georgia, if you want to challenge or protest Election results in any way, shape, or form (despite the fact that in Atlanta, murders and crime are the highest in the Nation, with many people dying each month — at numbers never seen before), they will charge you and put you in jail,” he wrote.

“But if you kill people, you will quickly be set free to murder again. Isn’t there something ‘slightly’ wrong with this scenario?” Trump asked.

Germany: Gas Crisis Chaos: Minister Brands Unhappy Public ‘New Enemies of the State’ Amid Riot Warnings

Those taking the German government to task over the ongoing gas crisis have been branded the “new enemies of the state” by one government minister in the country.

An ostensibly “centrist” minister in Germany has branded those looking to hold officials accountable for their chronic mismanagement of the country as the “new enemies of the state”.

The minister — who is a member of former chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party — made the claim as authorities in the country begin to fear significant backlash for gas shortages in the winter, with one official saying that he is now expecting riots to occur if and when people are no longer able to heat their homes.

According to a report by broadcaster NTV, Herbert Reul, who serves as the Interior Minister for the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, has now labelled members of the public challenging the extremely poor handling of Germany’s energy, cost of living, and COVID crises by the political class as “enemies of the state”.

Sweden Switches on Old Oil-Burning Power Plant as Electricity Prices Soar to Record Highs

Faced with record high electricity prices and a lower-than-usual wind power output, Sweden has turned to an old oil-fired power plant to keep the lights on in the southern part of the country.

The oil-burning Karlshamn station, which dates back to the early 1970s, has been running fairly regularly for about a week, according to operator Uniper.

Since the sanctions imposed following Russia’s special operation in Ukraine backfired and led to higher prices and exacerbated the energy drought, the EU has been struggling to diversify its energy supplies, to the point of abandoning its sustainability goals and dusting off oil and coal power stations.

LVIV, Ukraine (AP) — Turkey’s leader and the U.N. chief met in Ukraine with President Volodymr Zelenskyy on Thursday in a high-powered bid to ratchet down a war raging for nearly six months. But little immediate progress was reported.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would follow up with Russian President Vladimir Putin, given that most of the matters discussed would require the Kremlin’s agreement.

With the meetings held at such a high level — it was the first visit to Ukraine by Erdogan since the war began, and the second by U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres — some had hoped for breakthroughs, if not toward an overall peace, then at least on specific issues. But none was apparent.

The Freedom and Rights Coalition

The Freedom and Rights Coalition (TFRC) is a self-described “people’s movement” founded by Destiny Church founder and leader Bishop Brian Tamaki in 2021 to oppose the New Zealand Government’s COVID-19 lockdown restrictions and vaccine mandates. The group organised protests in Auckland and across New Zealand. In mid-July 2022, the Coalition launched a second wave of protests against the Labour Government, whom they accused of incompetence and contributing to the country’s socio-economic problems and shortages.

Leadership and organisation

In early November 2021, Destiny Church’s director of operations Jenny Marshall confirmed that the church’s founder Bishop Brian Tamaki was the “founder and “architect” of “The Freedom and Rights Coalition.” According to the media company Stuff, Marshall also owned the TFRC’s web domain. The Coalition used its website to solicit donations and sells merchandise including t-shirts, flags and facemasks emblazoned with anti-lockdown messaging. According to Marshall, the Coalition’s merchandising and donations were separate from the Church’s finances.

According to TFRC’s website, the group’s 12 stated goals and policies have included:

  • Opposing so-called “unworkable regulations” against farmers and growers.
  • Opposing government policies including lockdowns that have hurt businesses.
  • Opposing so-called “reckless” spending of taxpayer money.
  • Promoting housing affordability by improving property market conditions and introducing financial packages for first-home buyers.
  • Opposing Government interference in the family including the removal of parental consents and the alleged liberalisation of the education system.
  • Standing up for religious rights, “God’s Word,” and opposing government efforts to silence churches.
  • Promoting a better future for young people by easing government debt.
  • Opposing COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccination mandates.
  • Opposing so-called “unworkable” Resource Management Act 1991 regulations and tax rules that target property owners, investors and developers.
  • Better mental health conditions including combating suicide.
  • Standing for the rights of the indigenous Maori people and combating discrimination faced by indigenous peoples.
  • Protect the rights and freedoms of New Zealanders.

Revealing Trend in Austria: More Foreign Welfare Recipients Than Local

In Austria, population exchange is making great strides. This is also documented by the Integration Report 2022 that has now been presented. It showed that the alleged “enrichment” through mass immigrants does not mean enrichment for the host society, but rather an economic bloodletting costing billions.

A particularly hair-raising number was reported for the holiday destination of Tyrol. There were a total of 14 500 recipients of social assistance there in 2021. Of these, 5 600 people were Austrians (39 percent), while 6 000 applicants were entitled to asylum or subsidiary protection (41 percent).

This means: more “refugees” than locals receive social assistance in Tyrol. Another 1 600 were other third-country nationals (11 percent), and another 1 300 were nationals of the EU, EFTA, UK and associated small states (9 percent).

  1. The chemtrail believers community is about much more than geoengineering. And things much more sinister.

Techniques to influence the weather are known since a long time, and worries about undesired consequences go right along with them ever since. The oldest is the triggering of clouds to rain off by injecting condensation nuclei. Silver iodide was found working well for that, the downside (depending on viewpoint) being that there is no way that this could be economical. Another field of research is about finding ways to prevent earthquakes or mitigate their intensity by releasing tension building up in known fault zones.

If experiments are done to further knowledge and with the sincere goal to address potentially catastrophic hazards, one can’t really say much negative about that. Mistakes along the way are part and parcel of the journey. If we just didn’t already know enough about the biggest potentially catastrophic hazard which is human nature, to predict where politics will take any and all of this.

But this is just facts and how they are dealt with. Those chemtrail guys… are truly religious nuts. I met some of them once at a conference where they were allowed to deliver a presentation. I’d say they are worse than tinfoil hatters, because those have a solution which is harmless other than making themselves look ridiculous. Chemtrail activists are much more embedded with environmentalist groups and spread poison there, much as they believe is being done every time they see a jet engine’s condensation trail. Here is a window into the abyss:
