Tough Luck for the Potatoes

I reported last month on the controversy caused by Ferda Ataman, a German journalist and author with a “migration background” — she’s of Turkish extraction — who referred to ethnic Germans as “potato Germans”. Ms. Ataman had been appointed to the office of Federal Commissioner for Anti-Discrimination, and was awaiting the vote of the Bundestag.

Now it appears that the FDP* has lived up to its “yellow” designation in the governing coalition. A majority of the FDP representatives in the Bundestag voted in favor of Ms. Ataman, pushing her over the top.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Bild:

Ferda Ataman has the job

The majority of the FDP parliamentary group voted for her in the Bundestag

Ferda Ataman (43) is the new Federal Commissioner for Anti-Discrimination! 376 MPs voted for Ataman in the Bundestag vote on Thursday [July 7], 278 against her. 14 MPs abstained. She just barely achieved the necessary so-called chancellor majority of 369 votes. Means: A large portion of the FDP MPs voted for them to preserve the coalition peace in the traffic light government*. And this despite the fact that their choice is more than controversial!

The activist Ataman was proposed by Family Minister Lisa Paus (53) — and has been dividing minds for weeks. For example, Ataman had defended the term “potatoes” for Germans without a migration background, accused doctors and nurses of racism without reason, and presented the term “Heimat” (Home Country) as close to Nazi ideology.

Ataman herself did not comment publicly on the criticism — on the contrary: Shortly before her nomination, she deleted all her Twitter posts and has not given any interviews since.

Ataman’s nomination had also caused severe criticism within the coalition. Several FDP politicians, such as interior expert Linda Teuteberg (41), had announced that they would not support this person.

Apparently that wasn’t enough…

Afterword from the translator:

Translated, coalition peace means the preservation of one’s own jobs. True patriots…

What is the opposite of a patriot again?

The election of this evil dividing fungus is another black day for Germany and for the future of the “potatoes”. One can only hope that the traffic light coalition will soon be history.

  2. The West is occupied with a colonial administration in place. Where it goes from here is an easy guess. Unless the straight non Muslim population decides in one Almighty FThis!
