Inflation is Squeezing Food Banks and Food Pantries

Hunger is a problem in Illinois every summer. When schools are closed, families don’t have school meals to help feed their kids. Record inflation is compounding the issue.

Steve Ericson, executive director of Feeding Illinois, the state association for food agencies, told The Center Square that this summer, inflation is making Illinois’ food scarcity problem even worse.

“The cost of everything has gone up and the demand side for our network of agencies has also gone up. So that is a bad combination,” Ericson said.

Videos: Biden and Underlings All Deny Recession as Q2 GDP Officially Comes in at Negative 0.9%

As data officially confirmed that the U.S. experienced a second consecutive quarter of negative GDP growth, Joe Biden and his various advisors all directly denied the reality of a recession and claimed the economy is “transitioning” to become “strong and stable”.

The 0.9 percent shrink came on the heels of a 1.6 percent in the first quarter of 2022.

Wikipedia Joins in the Gaslighting! Online Encyclopedia Suspends Edits to Its ‘Recession’ Page After Users Scrambled to Change Definition to Match Biden’s Claim That the US is Not in One

Wikipedia has suspended the edit feature on its ‘Recession’ page after users flocked to amend it to concur with President Biden’s claim that the US isn’t suffering a downturn.

The page was altered at least 47 times over a roughly 24-hour period, with an administrator locking unregistered users out until August in an effort to curb what the encyclopedia website characterizes as ‘vandalism,’ and ‘malicious’ edits.

The edit-freeze comes as numerous members of the Biden administration have tried to argue the country is not in a recession by casting doubt on the word’s definition, which commonly agreed upon to be two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth.

One member made repeated edits to the Wikipedia page to insist there was ‘no global consensus’ on the definition of recession, in what appears to be a bizarre attempt to push White House messaging.

Couple Fighting Parking Ticket Curb Was Painted While Parked

In San Fransisco, a couple is fighting a $180 parking ticket after the curb was painted red WHILE their car was parked.

Desiree and Jeff Jolly live in the Russian Hill neighborhood in San Fransisco and they know how tricky it can be to find a parking space.

There’s a space at the corner of Larkin and Union streets that has always been their go-to for the past 25 years.

Desiree said, “We came out and we were walking up from the store, and I noticed the ticket on my car.”

The ticket was $180 assigned for parking in a red zone. However that morning, and for the past years, there was no red paint on the curb. In fact, the curb had been painted while the car was parked on the street. The painter even missed a spot as they painted around the tire of the car.

DOJ Indicts Russian National in Scheme to Recruit U.S. Citizens to Spread Pro-Russian Propaganda

The Department of Justice on Friday announced the indictment of a Russian national for allegedly orchestrating a scheme to recruit U.S. political groups to spread pro-Russian propaganda.

Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov “allegedly orchestrated a brazen influence campaign, turning U.S. political groups and U.S. citizens into instruments of the Russian government,” Assistant Attorney General Matthew G. Olsen said in a press release.

The announcement alleges that Ionov coordinated with the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to recruit and direct three American political groups based in Florida, Georgia, and California.

“Specifically, Ionov provided financial support to these groups, directed them to publish pro-Russian propaganda, coordinated and funded direct action by these groups within the United States intended to further Russian interests, and coordinated coverage of this activity in Russian media outlets,” according to the DOJ. “Ionov also relayed detailed information about this influence campaign to three FSB officials.”

A study that investigated the placement of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) temperature stations found that 96 percent of the facilities used to measure heat failed to meet the agency’s own “uncorrupted placement” standards.

Gibson’s Bakery “May Only Survive for the Next Couple of Months, “ Pleads With Court to Collect Against Oberlin College

It is over 3 years since Gibson’s Bakery obtained judgment against Oberlin College for almost $32 million, which with accumulated interest nears $36 million, the amount of a bond posted by the college through Zurich American Insurance to secure the judgment.

Neither “Grandpa” Allyn Gibson nor his son David Gibson lived to see the Gibson family collect. They both passed away, as Oberlin College waited them out.

Oberlin College has done everything possible to delay the Gibson’s getting the money, including an appeal which the college lost and another appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court, which has not yet ruled on whether it will hear the case. Because the appellate court ruling affirming the judgment included a mandate that the trial court “execute” on the judgment, the Gibsons moved in the trial court to collect the bond. The college then sought a stay from the Ohio Supreme Court. Neither the trial court nor the Ohio Supreme Court have ruled on the motions as of this writing, so the Gibson’s attempt to collect on the bond is in limbo.

Yesterday the Gibson’s filed a Motion To Enter Judgment or For Hearing in the trial court, pleading for a ruling on collection of the bond, because the bakery is on the verge of going out of business.

GOP Lawmaker Who Won by Whisker Touts Election Integrity, Rips ‘Zuckerbucks’

A New York congresswoman who won election by a razor-thin margin recounted a major voting-related issue still causing her sleepless nights during a panel discussion on Tuesday.

“The thing that keeps me up at night right now is this issue of vote-harvesting that happened under Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook billionaire, [who] spent $419 million on trying to go into the swing states to prime the pump, and a lot of this was legal,” Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., said at the America First Policy Institute summit in Washington, D.C.

Tenney created the Election Integrity Caucus in the House after winning election in the 2020 cycle in a nail-biter by just 109 votes out of 312,987 ballots cast.

“[Zuckerberg] went in. They tried to get Democratic voters in key areas, places where they knew they could dredge up Democrat votes, and get them to vote,” she said. “The good news is, we cracked down on ‘Zuckerbucks.’“

Dutch Farmers Continue to Close Down Busy Roads

Dutch farmers have not given up on their fight against the globalist Rutte IV cabinet. They have been blocking roads against the upcoming expropriations of farmers.

This week, the A7 between Groningen and Drachten and between Middenmeer and Abbekerk in North Holland and on the A1 at Voorst were shut down. Road traffic had to take into account delays and nuisance due to clean-up work. On the A7 near Frieschepalen, there was an accident involving several vehicles due to waste dumping. As a result, the police have decided to close the on and off ramps there. No one was injured in the accident. The A7 in the direction of Heerenveen was also closed at the Oude Riet service area, because there was waste in two lanes.

The farmers in West Friesland certainly know how to get things done. Part of the A7 was closed there. At Medemblik, between Middenmeer and Abbekerk, the road was even closed on both sides. Hay bales and car tires were dumped on and along the road and set on fire. “The firefighting work is in full swing. The road is expected to be reopened around 8 am,” the local emergency services told Dutch daily De Telegraaf.

UK National Security Adviser Warns of Sudden Nuclear War With Communist China

Britain’s official National Security Advisor, Sir Stephen Lovegrove, has warned that the risk of nuclear escalation is greater today than it was during the Cold War, particularly with respect to China.

Speaking to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington D.C., the former top bureaucrat at the Ministry of Defence argued that the West “face[s] a much broader range of strategic risks and pathways to escalation” than during the Cold War, not least because, during that long-simmering conflict, the Soviet Union and its satellites reached something of a “shared understanding of doctrine” which made the threat of nuclear conflict more manageable — some notable flirtations with destruction notwithstanding.

UK: Tributes Flow After Nine-Year-Old Girl, Lilia Valutyte, Found Stabbed to Death in Front of Sister

Locals are grieving the “sick” death of a nine-year-old girl, after she was stabbed to death while playing with her five-year-old sister.

A nine-year-old girl was stabbed to death in front of her little sister as they played with a hula-hoop in the street.

Lilia Valutyte was with her five-year-old sibling outside a café where their mum was working when she was attacked with a knife, The Sun reports.

Two men were last night in custody and being quizzed over the attack after armed police raided a house in the market town of in England’s Lincolnshire county.

One line of inquiry was said to centre on claims the attacker believed Lilia’s mum Lina — a recruitment agency boss — owed him money for factory shifts.

Lina was understood to have been working just 3 metres away watching her girls from the window of the café…

Water-Strapped France Gets Tough on Lawn Owners

Most of France has now been put on drought alert in an effort to mitigate the impact of an increasingly devastating dry spell.

All but three of the country’s 96 departments are encouraging or outright ordering residents to save water, the nation’s Ministry of Ecological Transition said on Thursday. The police have been tasked with monitoring compliance with the restrictions.

As have many other European countries, France has faced extreme heat waves and droughts this summer, which have prompted water restrictions to be introduced. Four levels have been designated: vigilance, alert (yellow), heightened alert (orange), and crisis (red).

WEF Proposed Using “Wind-Powered Boats” To Decarbonize the Shipping Industry

In yet another attempt to destroy international commerce, the World Economic Forum (WEF) is urging companies to go back to using “wind-powered boats” (i.e., ‘sailboats’) to decarbonize the shipping industry.

In an article entitled “From electric ferries to wind-powered boats: here’s how the shipping industry can decarbonize,” the WEF says the shipping industry accounts for 3% of global emissions. This is apparently unacceptable, and companies must accelerate their transition to more ‘sustainable’ alternatives, such as wind and solar.

“Wind, sun and other forms of renewable energy can be harnessed on ships to help propel them. Swedish shipbuilder Wallenius Marine and its partners are developing the “Oceanbird,” a cargo ship powered by wind that can carry 7,000 cars,” writes the World Economic Forum.

Pictures of the vessel are less impressive than the description, as the ship appears to be just a modern take on a 19th-century cargo ship — a reskinning of an old design and an attempt to revive a method that was abandoned commercially after the advent of steam, coal, and gas-powered marine vessels.

Russia Claims 40 Ukrainian POWs Killed in Strike With US Himars, Ukraine Decries ‘Brutal Execution’

Russia’s Defense Ministry on Friday claimed that at least 40 Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed after U.S.-supplied High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) were used by Ukrainian armed forces to strike occupied territory in the Donbas, and hit a Russian detention center.

A Ukrainian defense official denied the claims and told Fox News Digital it was likely a “brutal execution of POWs.”

The official said they have “99 percent certainty that this was a Russian strike.”

India: Clear Intentions to Kill Hindus: Jihadists Linked to Ansarullah Bangla Team Arrested in Assam

The Assam Police on Thursday claimed to have busted two “jihadi” modules of Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) & Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQNS). It has been officially confirmed that 10 people have been arrested in this case within 48 hours.

Kabita Gogoi | HENB | Guwahati | July 18, 2022:: Assam Police claimed to have busted two “jihadi” modules on Thursday. The police claim that their wire is from Bangladesh and is related to a terrorist organization. It has been officially confirmed that 10 people have been arrested in this case within 48 hours. It is said that one module was allegedly operating from Barpeta in lower Assam and the other from Morigaon district in central Assam. According to the police claim, both the modules belonged to the Bangladesh-based Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) which is part of Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).

Several arrests in the past

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Action has been taken against the jihadi module and this has been possible with the help of central agencies. There are some jihadist elements in Assam who have links with extremist groups in Bangladesh. This happens because the state is located close to neighboring Bangladesh. However, this is not the first time that jihadists with Bangladeshi links have been arrested in Assam. Earlier too, ten people, including a Bangladeshi national, were arrested from Barpeta in the months of March and April.

Arrested from Barpeta and Guwahati

Additional DGP Hiren Nath said that on Wednesday, Bongaigaon district police arrested Abbas Ali, who belonged to ABT-Sleeper Cell, from Goalpara. Abbas allegedly sheltered a Bangladeshi jihadist in his home. After questioning Abbas, eight others, including seven from Barpeta and three from Guwahati, were arrested, he said.

“During investigation, we found that Ali had provided shelter to an absconding Bangladeshi national named Mehbub, who is a core member of the ABT. He also provided a SIM card and logistical support to Mehbub. We are checking if Ali is linked to any more people from the ABT,” said Luna Sonowal, Additional Superintendent of Police, Bongaigaon Assam…

Litigation in State Courts Puts Pro-Life Laws on Hold

Long before American independence, legislatures were enacting laws to restrict the killing of human beings before birth. In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court put a stop to those pro-life efforts by manufacturing a constitutional right to abortion in Roe v. Wade and taking away the legislative power to protect life in this way.

But on June 24, the high court acknowledged that its decision in Roe had been “egregiously wrong from the start” and overruled it.

Although that decision eliminated the U.S. Constitution as an obstacle to protecting the unborn, abortion advocates now are changing venues and arguing in state courts that pro-life laws violate state constitutions.

Poll Finds Americans Want Biden to Condemn Pro-Abortion Violence, Harassment of Justices

Most Americans want President Joe Biden and their other elected officials to condemn intimidation of Supreme Court justices and related violence and vandalism in the wake of their overturning of Roe v. Wade, a new poll finds.

The poll, released Wednesday by the Judicial Crisis Network, a conservative advocacy group, found that 61% of 1,600 registered voters agreed that harassing justices at private establishments or their personal residences “undermines our democracy.”

“There is a massive disconnect between Americans’ desire for a society upheld by the rule of law and the actions and policies of Attorney General Merrick Garland during this administration,” Carrie Severino, president of Judicial Crisis Network, told The Daily Signal.

Portland Schools Teaching Young Children About ‘Infinite Gender Spectrum’

A Portland school is teaching children as young as kindergarteners about the “infinite gender spectrum” and gender “colonization,” according to public documents.

The curriculum implemented in 2021 at Portland Public Schools in Portland, Oregon, teaches K-12 students that there is an “infinite gender spectrum” and that they can make up their own pronouns, according to public documents. The students learn that gender is “colonized” by “white colonizers” who are trying to “erase many cultures, including what some might now call ‘queer’ or ‘trans’ people.”

The SPLC Backs Woke History at James Madison’s Montpelier

Virginia is for history lovers. George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, and James Madison’s Montpelier—a triad of epicenters of our nation’s past—are all within driving distance.

Those who own and operate these historic houses have a significant say over how the American Founding is taught. Unfortunately, as described in a new Heritage Foundation report, the Southern Poverty Law Center’s work has been influential at James Madison’s Montpelier. (The Daily Signal is the news outlet of The Heritage Foundation.)

You might think Montpelier would focus on Madison’s numerous accomplishments, particularly his role in shaping the Constitution and the nation. You would be wrong.

The Technological Reset

Part 1: The Great Reset Docuseries (Episode 2)

Since the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic in March 2020, a highly-influential organization known as the World Economic Forum has been under scrutiny for using the global crisis as a means of advancing their own agenda.

Chaired by its founder Klaus Schwab, the WEF aims to influence governments across the world to implement its vision and shape policies to comply with the organization’s agenda.

In this docuseries, we will be exploring the book The Great Reset, co-authored by Schwab and published in June 2020, just a few months after COVID-19 began shaping our world, along with those collaborating with the WEF to push its globalist agenda.

Our hope is to show the viewer that this reset, this “unique window of opportunity” as the WEF’s website states, is not a conspiracy theory — it’s a fact.

In the first half of a two-part episode, we examine what Schwab calls the Technological Reset and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, along with some of the key figures and pieces of technology that are shifting the world as we know it.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Alito Mocks Foreign Critics of Abortion Ruling

WASHINGTON (Reuters) — Conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has brushed off criticism from prominent figures around the world of last month’s blockbuster ruling he authored that overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 abortion rights decision.

In his first public remarks since the decision, which has led to various conservative U.S. states imposing abortion bans, Alito dismissed criticism of the ruling, which has come from the likes of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

In addition, Alito took aim at Britain’s Prince Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, who referenced the abortion ruling in a speech at the United Nation’s last week.

Virginia School Board Members Back District in Suit Over Teacher Fired in Student Pronoun Dispute

Eight school board members from five school divisions in Virginia filed a brief with the state Supreme Court in support of West Point Public Schools after the district fired a teacher who refused to use a student’s preferred pronouns.

High school French teacher Peter Vlaming lost his job for refusing to use male pronouns to refer to a biologically female student who requested he use male pronouns.

The school board says the teacher’s refusal to use male pronouns was transgender discrimination on the basis of gender identity.

Vlaming filed a lawsuit to get back his job.

According to his attorneys, Vlaming consistently used the student’s preferred name, but did not feel comfortable using male pronouns. Rather, the teacher avoided using pronouns altogether. In the lawsuit, Vlaming’s lawyers argued the school violated the First Amendment and Virginia law by trying to compel speech.
