Russia and China Officially Announced a “New Global Reserve Currency”
China and Russia are taking their shot at the U.S. dollar. And as often happens with consequential news in the United States and the West, no one seems to notice or even care.
Since the beginning of the year, I have been writing about the possibility of Russia and China challenging the US dollar’s global reserve status. Now, it’s happening.
It shouldn’t be any surprise to those paying attention that Russia and China are strengthening their economic ties amidst continued Western sanctions on Russia as a result of the country’s war in Ukraine.
What may surprise some people, however, is that Russia and the BRICS countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, are officially working on their own “new global reserve currency,” RT reported in late June. Nobody even seemed to notice.
“The issue of creating an international reserve currency based on a basket of currencies of our countries is being worked out,” Vladimir Putin said at the BRICS business forum last month.
And of course, as Russia has been cut off from the SWIFT system, it is also pairing with China and the BRIC nations to develop “reliable alternative mechanisms for international payments” in order to “cut reliance on the Western financial system.”

Chicago Mayor Lightfoot Refusing to Pay Speeding, Red Light Tickets as They Pile Up: Report
Multiple police-driven vehicles used to transport Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot have reportedly racked up multiple traffic tickets that have gone unpaid despite the mayor’s advocacy for stricter speed cameras in the city.
Two of the SUVs used to shuttle Lightfoot throughout Chicago have accumulated three speed camera tickets and two warnings in the past month. The tickets have so far gone unpaid, CWB Chicago reported on Monday.
Additionally, CWB Chicago reported that one of the SUVs in the mayor’s fleet has a red light ticket that has not been paid and two SUVs that were previously assigned to Lightfoot’s security detail have outstanding speed and red light tickets.

Community Urges Uvalde Council to Suspend All City Cops Who Reported to School Massacre
Council passed resolution urging governor, Legislature to hold special session.
Family members of Uvalde school district students have called on the city council to suspend all city police officers who were on the scene during the May 24 massacre at Robb Elementary School.
During a council meeting Tuesday night, victims’ families and community members said they wanted all officers who responded that day to be held responsible for the bungled police response that left 19 students and two teachers dead.
Brett Cross, father of Uziyah Garcia, who was killed in the massacre, pointed to a police officer in the audience, saying he was a responding officer to Robb. “That ain’t right… until the investigation is done, they should be on administrative leave,” he said.
Diana Olvedo-Karau echoed the sentiment, asking for “administrative leave, at a minimum” and suggested putting the officers on desk duty as an alternative until the investigation concludes. “I don’t think that’s a lot to ask,” she said…

Jan 6 Trespasser Commits Suicide After MAGA Snitch Turns Him in for Petty Reason
47-year-old Pennsylvania man Mark Aungst and his “co-defendant” Tammy Bronsburg were convicted on misdemeanor charges of “parading” in a restricted building by the DOJ after briefly entering the US Capitol building on January 6th, 2021…
Assistant U.S. Attorney Mona Furst said the prosecution had evidence showing Aungst and Bronsburg entering the Capitol through the Senate fire door by the parliamentarian’s office approximately 2:45 p.m. and leaving 30 seconds later. Twenty minutes later they re-entered the building through the Senate wing door, and took photos and videos on their cell phones,” media has reported, citing court documents, regarding Aungst’s non-violent actions on January 6th.
Furthermore, when Capitol Police asked Aungst and Bronsburg to leave the building, they complied, returning to the bus they’d ridden to Washington on to get back home to Pennsylvania, court records show…
Reportedly, he was only arrested after another demonstrator who rode on the bus with him to Washington became angry that his trip to the Capitol had delayed their return home, and reported him to the FBI. He was slated to be sentenced on September 27th and faced 6 months in prison, as well as up to a $5,000 fine.
On Wednesday, July 20th, Mark Aungst, of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was found dead. After an examination by the local coroner, his death was ruled a suicide, making him at least the second January 6th defendant to kill himself after facing the DOJ and having his life as he knew it largely destroyed. A skilled tradesman who worked as a gas field well service technician, he leaves behind his daughter, his mother, and three siblings.

Kentucky’s Largest School District Requires Masks Regardless of Vaccination Status
Kentucky’s largest school district will require students, faculty and staff to wear a COVID-19 mask, regardless of vaccination status, on school property and buses, amid a significant increase in case numbers.
Jefferson County Public Schools, which covers Louisville, instituted the change in policy starting Monday, just over two weeks before classes resume, The Associated Press reported.

Principal of Uvalde Elementary School Suspended in Wake of Deadly Shooting
Mandy Gutierrez put on administrative leave, as 77-page report details multiple failures from police and other Texas officials
The principal of the elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, where an intruder shot dead 19 students and two teachers in May, has been suspended from her job.
Mandy Gutierrez of Robb elementary school was put on paid administrative leave on Monday, her attorney Ricardo Cedillo said in a statement to the Associated Press.
The Uvalde school district superintendent made the decision to place Gutierrez on leave, Cedillo said.

Gutierrez had worked in the Uvalde school district for more than two decades and was finishing her first year as principal when the killings there occurred, according to a preliminary investigative report released on 17 July by the Texas state legislature.
Cedillo did not provide any details on why Gutierrez was suspended.
The decision against Gutierrez is only the latest against an official in the wake of the report’s release.
After initially being put on paid leave as the report was being prepared, the Uvalde school district police chief, Pete Arredondo, saw his pay halted on Friday, five days after the report’s release.
The school board had called a meeting on Saturday to consider Arredondo’s firing but ultimately postponed it, citing “due process requirements” and a request from Arredondo’s attorney.
The 77-page report from the state legislature’s special investigative committee laid responsibility at Gutierrez and a school assistant for knowing that the lock on a classroom in which the massacre took place was not working but not getting it fixed…

Documents Reveal That Federal Bank Kept Track of Customers Supporting Freedom Convoy
Internal documents procured through an Access to Information request by Blacklock’s Reporter confirm that Farm Credit Canada of Regina (FCC) told employees to record the names of customers who supported the Freedom Convoy. Emails among staff showed names were still being compiled even after the Emergencies Act was lifted.
“If you become aware of a customer’s involvement, report it immediately,” the FCC chief operating officer Sophie Perreault wrote in an email dated February 23. Vindicated: Pastor Artur Pawlowski on His Legal Victory

Austrian Politician Wants Ukrainian Oligarchs Sanctioned
An Austrian MP has called for the EU to impose sanctions on Ukrainian oligarchs, who he claims are the real culprits behind the military conflict between Kiev and Moscow. Martin Graf described the bloc’s current policy on Ukraine deeply flawed.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has a new head of the Technical Advisory Group for Behavioral Insights and Science for Health — and she is Professor Susan Michie.

EU Countries Reach Agreement on 15% Coordinated Demand Reduction for Next Winter
Following Russian state-owned energy producer Gazprom PJSC’s decision to reduce natural gas flows to Europe via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, European Union countries agreed on a 15% demand cut through next winter as the probabilities of reaching 80% NatGas storage filling target dwindle, reported Bloomberg.
EU energy ministers convened in Brussels on Tuesday and gave the ‘thumbs up’ to a proposal to voluntarily cut their NatGas demand over the coming months, the Czech presidency of the EU tweeted. Under an emergency, such as Gazprom reducing NatGas flows to zero, the plan states EU countries will have to reduce demand by 15%.
“The EU stands together — agreement on a 15% coordinated demand reduction regulation in only 1 week ! — reducing our gas consumption by 45 bcm is the best move to react to Putin’s gasblackmail — only Hungary voted against,” Luxembourg’s energy minister Claude Turmes tweeted.

Gas reservoirs in the Czech Republic are already at a record level of 80 percent capacity, the country’s Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced in a social media post on Monday.
Taking to Twitter, the Czech leader confirmed the country has already reached the minimum limit to which the EU member states must fill the tanks by this November, a move EU27 energy ministers agreed upon back in June following the risk of a severe supply disruption from Russia.
“We are at an all-time high. We are working to be as prepared as possible for the winter,” Fiala wrote.

Google Restricts App That Alerts Parents When Their Kids’ Blood Sugar Falls Dangerously Low
An app for managing Type 1 diabetes that is recommended by the UK’s National Health Service has been restricted from sending essential text messages to parents of kids using the app.
For two years, the app was not even allowed in the Play Store because of the text message feature.
CamAps FX was in development for 15 years by Cambridge University experts. It integrates with an insulin pump and glucose monitor, meaning it monitors the sugar levels and uses AI technology to determine the right amount of insulin to administer.

Hungary Vows to Vote Down Brussels’ Demand to Reduce Gas Consumption
Hungary will vote against proposals put forward by the European Union to impose a mandatory reduction in consumption of natural gas this winter as member states scramble to fill gas storage facilities amid a shortage of supply.
Energy ministers of the EU27 met in Brussels on Tuesday to discuss a regulation that would order member states to reduce their gas consumption by 15 percent.
All nations except Hungary are understood to have agreed on the proposal, and Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjartó confirmed his country will vote against plans that he claimed would seriously harm the continent’s competitiveness and put European jobs at risk by restricting energy use.

Swiss Reggae Band Canceled Because White Members Have Dreadlocks
A reggae band from Switzerland was canceled in the middle of a concert after attendees complained about “cultural appropriation” by white members of the group who have dreadlocked hair, according to reports.
Lauwarm, an artist from the capital city of Bern, describes his style as “dialect reggae peppered with pop, indie and world music.”
Lauwarm and his backing band were reportedly asked to perform on short notice at Brasserie Lorraine in Bern on July 18.

Terror Threat Across Europe Still High as Ukraine War Poses New Challenges
The threat of terrorism in Europe remains high despite the declining number of attacks in recent years, according to a report on extremism by Europol.
The EU’s law enforcement agency claimed that the war in Ukraine poses new threats to the security of the European Union; it also warned that danger may arise from those returning to Europe from the war.
“Continued war is likely to trigger violence, extremist reactions, and mobilizations, especially in the online domain,” Europol stated in its report, citing lessons learned from dealing with foreign fighters returning from battlefields in the Middle East.

UK Grocery Store Co-Op’s Live Facial Recognition Cameras Face Legal Complaint
UK rights group Big Brother Watch has issued a legal complaint against grocery store Co-op’s use of live facial recognition cameras in 35 of its stores and alleged that the use of the technology is unlawful.
Co-op rolled out this surveillance tech without telling customers and the complaint estimates that the grocery store chain conducts biometric scans on thousands of shoppers each month via a surveillance system sold by the facial recognition technology company Facewatch.

Russia Will Now Help Ukrainians “Get Rid of Regime, “ Lavrov Says
Russia has for the first time stated as among its ultimate war aims achieving regime change in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in Sunday remarks which were publicized Monday that Moscow will help the Ukrainian people “get rid of the regime” in Kiev.
Going into early summer, the Russian military had focused its battlefield goals on “liberating” the Donbas, but this latest Lavrov comment on removing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky represents the most expansive war aim yet.
“We are determined to help the people of eastern Ukraine to liberate themselves from the burden of this absolutely unacceptable regime,” Lavrov said while meeting with Arab League officials in Egypt.

Ukraine’s Coastline Hit Again as UN Preps First Black Sea Export Shipment of Grains
Ukraine’s coastline was again hit Tuesday in a series of strikes less than a week after a landmark deal was signed to secure the safe export of food products in the Black Sea and just days before the U.N. has planned the first shipment.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took to Instagram to show the devastation in the small beach town of Zatoka in the Odesa region, some 35 miles south of the port city.

Zelensky Wants to Prosecute Western Banks for ‘War Crimes’
According to top Zelensky aide Oleg Ustenko, who spoke to CNBC, the Ukrainian leader is upset that major banks continue to finance western companies that trade oil with Russia.
“Everybody who is financing these war criminals, who are doing these terrible things in Ukraine, are also committing war crimes in our logic,” said Ustenko on Tuesday. The aide, who serves as Zelensky’s economic advisor, named JP Morgan, HSBC, and Citi as three such banks guilty of apparent “war crimes.”
Asked if the banks should prosecuted for war crimes, Ustenko replied, “Exactly.”

China Tried to Build Spy Network Inside the Fed, Threatened to Kidnap Fed Economist
China tried to place “a network of informants inside the Federal Reserve system” over the course of a decade, according to a stunning new article out this morning from the Wall Street Journal.
Over 10 years, Fed employees were offered contracts with Chinese talent recruitment programs, often including cash payments, in exchange for providing information on the U.S. economy and interest rate changes, according to an investigation by Republican staff members of the Senate’s Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
The country even threatened to imprison a Fed economist on a trip to Shanghai as apart of their efforts. The economist was detained in 2019, the report says. WSJ notes that it is unclear whether any “sensitive information was compromised”, though we’re not sure exactly how “sensitive” Fed information is to begin with.

Joe Rogan Slams TikTok: ‘It Ends With China Having All of Your Data’
Joe Rogan expressed concerns Tuesday that TikTok, one of the most used social media apps in the world, poses a unique threat to Americans’ data privacy and safety.
TikTok is owned by Bytedance, a Chinese company. China’s Civil Military Fusion Policy and 2017 National Intelligence Law requires private businesses in China to share information and data at the request of the Chinese government.

A self-proclaimed ‘anti-fascist’ has been found guilty and placed on a six-month good behaviour bond for assaulting Avi Yemini at a left-wing protest in early 2020.
The news comes just mere weeks after Victoria Police issued a grovelling apology for arresting the Rebel News reporter at multiple Melbourne protests.

Over 10% of Hungary’s Inmates Are People Smugglers
More than one in 10 of the inmates in Hungarian prisons are convicted people smugglers, according to Bence Rétvari, the state secretary at the country’s interior ministry.
“Of the approximately 19,000 detainees, more than 2,000 are people smugglers,” Rétvari said on Monday, adding that this showed how large a part people smuggling plays in domestic crime.
The overwhelming majority of those imprisoned for such crimes, 88 percent, are not Hungarian citizens, Rétvari revealed, which he claimed means “a lot of difficulties” and additional tasks regarding detention.

AP Instructs News Media to Avoid Certain Words When Referring to Transgender Issues
The Associated Press Stylebook, used as a style manual by most media outlets, has been updated to include a “Topical Guide” for transgender coverage.

California Bill Will Turn State Into Sanctuary for Minors Seeking Sex Changes

Got monkeypox after pride sex with several men – blames “the system”

Sebastian Kohn is from Sweden and works as a public health expert for George Soros in New York. Now he talks about how he contracted monkeypox after having sex with a number of different men during Pride in New York.
In an article in Britain’s The Guardian, Sebastian Kohn, 39, writes that the “system” is not capable of dealing with a smallpox epidemic.
He describes his own experience of being infected. This happened during Pride events in New York at the end of June.
“I had sex with several guys over the weekend. A week later, on July 1, I started to feel very tired. I had a high fever with chills and muscle aches, and my lymph nodes were so swollen that they were sticking out two centimetres from my neck,” he writes.
Sebastian Kohn describes himself in the article as “a 39-year-old man from Sweden who lives in Brooklyn and works in philanthropy”. Specifically, he works as a public health expert and director of the New York chapter of leftist billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.
In the Guardian article, Kohn describes in great detail the rashes and other symptoms he suffered. Free Times chooses not to reproduce them for the sake of its readers. In the end, it turned out that he had been infected with both monkeypox and gonorrhoea.
Iin any case, the 39-year-old is highly critical of the way the authorities in the US have handled the monkeypox outbreak.
“The whole thing feels ~like a huge failure that should not have happened, especially two and a half months after the outbreak. If someone like me, who has worked in sexual health for a long time, had such a difficult time navigating the healthcare system, I can’t imagine others succeeding. I know several people who are just sitting at home in excruciating pain because they are not getting the support they need,” Kohn writes, continuing:
“I am quite concerned that we are close to reaching the point where this becomes yet another endemic disease, especially among gay men, if we haven’t already passed that point. I’m worried that we’re going to be stuck with this forever.”

WHO: Monkeypox an international emergency
The World Health Organization, WHO, has decided to classify the outbreak of monkeypox as an international health emergency, reports SVT News.
This is the organization’s most serious warning – only the coronavirus and polio currently have the same classification.
Monkeypox, originally a tropical disease from monkeys in Africa, is currently spreading among practicing gay men in Europe.
– The WHO assessment indicates that the risk of monkeypox is moderate in all regions of the world except Europe, where we consider the risk to be high,” says WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus.
According to the WHO, the classification will help in the development of vaccines and open the way for action against the spread of the disease.
However, Ghebreyesus stresses the need to protect the “health, human rights and dignity” of those infected.
– Stigma and discrimination can be as dangerous as any virus,” says Ghebreyesus.
In Sweden, monkeypox is classified as a public health disease. There are therefore infection control measures in place, such as testing, infection tracing and rules of conduct. Sweden also has a limited number of doses of vaccine that can be given against monkeypox to people who have been exposed.
– There is an ongoing spread of the disease in Sweden, but the number of cases is limited compared to other parts of Europe. In Sweden, almost all the measures recommended by the WHO for the group of countries with a similar situation to Sweden are already in place, but the Public Health Agency is reviewing whether additional measures may be necessary,” says Lisa Brouwers, Acting Director-General of the Public Health Agency.
