European Central Bank Raises Interest Rates for First Time in Over a Decade

The European Central Bank on Thursday raised its key interest rates for the first time in over a decade as consumer prices in the eurozone rose at an 8.6% annual pace in June.

The announcement came as a surprise as the bank had initially announced it would hike the rate by 25 basis points only.

Are Soros-Funded Progressive District Attorneys “Exonerating” Guilty Murderers? The Data Suggests They Are

The exoneration of a wrongly incarcerated person due to the miscarriage of justice is a common trope in Hollywood movies and television dramas. In the real world, where there are several well-funded organizations full of zealous advocates dedicated to the cause of freeing the innocent, exonerations have always been rare. But this is beginning to change.

Cities overseen by George Soros—funded District Attorneys [How George Soros funded progressive ‘legal arsonist’ DAs behind US crime surge, by Isabel Vincent, New York Post, December 16, 2021] are distinguishing themselves with unusual exoneration rates, including of convicts—overwhelmingly black and Hispanic—imprisoned for serious crimes such as rape and murder.

Soros DAs such as Larry Krasner in Philadelphia, Kim Gardner in St. Louis, and the recently recalled Chesa Boudin of San Francisco have made exonerating convicts, who they perceive as victims of a “racist” criminal justice system, a top priority [Krasner: Racism hides best in our beliefs about crime, by Larry Krasner, Philadelphia Tribune, November 23, 2020].

Congressman Demands Bill Gates Explain Why He’s Buying Up Vast Amounts of Farmland

Gates is circumventing a 1932 anti-corporate farm ownership law by pledging to lease the land back to farmers after the purchase is complete.

Now South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson is demanding answers.

Conservative Groups Press for Votes on Three Anti-Big Tech Bills

A coalition of conservative organizations is calling on Congress to vote for three antitrust bills in hopes of reining in Big Tech companies.

The coalition, led by the Internet Accountability Project, called in a Thursday letter for Congress to vote in favor of the American Innovation and Choice Online Act, Open App Markets Act, and State Antitrust Enforcement Venue Act.

“Anticompetitive behavior by these trillion-dollar companies has wide-ranging and devastating consequences for small businesses and the American public at large,” the letter reads. “As the digital application marketplace has become dominated by just a few giant corporations, smaller companies who attempt to compete with their products are completely at their mercy. As we have seen, these behemoths can quickly join forces to effectively eliminate their competition by removing them from their platforms and cutting them off from their audiences.”

NY’s New Law Returns Fire at Supreme Court: Guns Are Now Banned Almost Everywhere

Albany, NY — A recent U.S. Supreme Court decision overturned a more than 100-year-old law in New York state, opening the door to allow more people to carry handguns.

But the state moved quickly to adopt a new law that will do just the opposite: It will greatly restrict where people can have a handgun.

The new law will ban firearms on all private property unless the owner makes a point to allow them by putting up signs. It’s a flip of the switch from the current law, which allows legal concealed carry on most private property unless an owner posts signs forbidding guns.

Wisconsin Lawmakers Kill Plan to Allow Election Clerks to Cure Errant Ballots

The long battle between Republican lawmakers and Wisconsin’s Elections Commission is not showing any signs of ending.

The latest came Wednesday when the Legislature’s Joint Committee for the Review of Administrative Rules killed an emergency rule from the Elections Commission that would have allowed local election clerks to correct mistakes on voters’ absentee ballots, a process otherwise known as curing.

Specifically, the Commission said clerks don’t have to contact voters, and could instead rely on their own information to fill in missing pieces or addresses.

JCRAR chairman Sen. Steve Nass, R-Whitewater, said the problem is not allowing clerks to fill in missing information, rather the problem is that the Elections Commission is ignoring current state law.

The two crowdfunding platforms were used by the convoy, which stayed in Ottawa for nearly four weeks protesting remaining COVID lockdowns and restrictions, including cross-border vaccine mandates for truckers. The Trudeau Liberals invoked the Emergencies Act, a never-before-used anti-terrorism law, to seize assets and cut off funding to those participating in the peaceful street protests.

Retired Couple Fined $25,000 While Trying to Return to Canada

No, COVID-19 mandates are not over. Today, we sit down to interview two of the newest legal clients of The Democracy Fund, whose story proves that medical tyranny is still here in Canada.

Robert and Jamie Leibe, a retired couple, were recently fined just under $25,000 for simply trying to maintain their medical privacy while trying to return to their home in Canada.

The Leibes predominantly live in Washington D.C. but like to enjoy their home in Penticton during the summer. This past Father’s Day, they made the journey from D.C. to B.C., which is when they were slapped with six fines totalling $24,897.50.

What was their “crime” you ask? The Leibes simply declined to share their medical information and download the federal government’s digitally invasive ArriveCan app.

Czech Republic Secured the Pipes, Now it Needs to Get the Gas Itself

Czechia is progressing in its efforts to secure gas supplies from sources other than Russia. The country has already leased part of a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the Netherlands through the energy company CEZ, which receives LNG imported by sea. Now, with the infrastructure now in place, the Czech Republic must ensure it can secure the gas itself.

From autumn, CEZ will be able to use the capacity corresponding to roughly a third of Czechia’s annual natural gas consumption through the terminal moored near the port of Eemshaven.

“Together, we have also secured new transport capacities for the state through which we will deliver gas to the Czech Republic,” said Czechia’s Minister of Industry Jozef Sikela at a joint press conference with the head of CEZ, Daniel Benes.

EU ‘Stabbing Poland in the Back, ‘ Says Former Foreign Minister

The statements made by European Commissioners Didier Reynders and Vera Jourova in opposition to paying out EU funds to Poland were part of the “good cop, bad cop” routine, with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen cast in the former role and Reynders and Jourova in the latter, Poland’s former foreign minister, MEP Witold Waszczykowski, said.

He called on Poland to be assertive in vetoing or blocking EU decisions whenever possible in order to gain leverage, as had been done by other members of the EU in earlier times.

Waszczykowski was openly critical of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki for allowing the European Commission to bully Poland in order to achieve a compromise.

Extended Closure of French Swimming Pool Due to Ongoing Attacks, Disturbances by ‘Youths’

An aquatic facility in France has been shut down for an extended period in the midst of a heat wave due to ongoing incidents involving unruly ‘youths,’ according to reports.

“Due to repeated incidents with thugs who don’t care about security guards or cameras and technical problems making the slides impassable, the pool is closed while we implement the necessary solutions to ensure the full safety of our brave staff and users,” Amnéville Mayor Eric Munier wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

Global Minimum Tax is Remiscent of Communist Times, Says Hungarian Foreign Minister

Taking away the competitive advantage of low taxes in a bureaucratic manner would be reminiscent of communism, and the introduction of the global corporate tax minimum would be unfair from this point of view as well, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjartó said in Washington.

Speaking at a business meeting of the conservative advocacy group Americans for Tax Reform (ATR), the minister emphasized that low taxes are the basis of the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy, and according to the government, the creation of tax rules should remain a national competence, as competition between different systems also brings benefits.

Italian Prime Minister Draghi Resigns in Latest World Leader Shakeup

Italian Premier Mario Draghi handed in his resignation Thursday after the three major coalition parties boycotted a confidence vote in a move that set the stage for an early election later this year.

Draghi submitted his formal resignation to President Sergio Mattarella who “took note” of the move but asked the prime minister to remain in his role in a “caretaker” capacity, reports said Thursday.

Draghi’s resignation is the latest shakeup among European leaders following UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s resignation earlier this month.

Switzerland: Court Rules Man Faked Hate Crime, Carved Swastika on His Own Face

A Swiss court has found a 28-year-old man guilty of inventing a hate crime after the man had falsely claimed to have been attacked but actually carved a swastika into his own face.

The 28-year-old mixed-race man had claimed in January to have been attacked by a group of German-speaking individuals who approached him in the city of Neuchtel, pushed him to the ground, beat him and carved a swastika into the side of his cheek and made monkey noises toward him in an apparent hate crime.

Why Nord Stream II Must be Opened Immediately

Next winter Germany, and other European countries, will have an energy crisis. This crisis, we are told, is caused by the proxy war between the U.S. and Russia in Europe. They say that Russia has cut us off from its natural gas deliveries.

That is a lie.

The Ukraine and Poland have shut off some pipelines that bring in gas from Russia to western Europe. Germany has not delivered on the contracted maintenance that is required to keep the NordStream I pipeline at full capacity. The German government has blocked the certification of the NordStream II pipeline which is technically 100% ready to work at full capacity.

The energy crisis Europe will experience was created by the governments of those European countries who stop the pipeline flow of gas from Russia and who’s citizens will have to bear the consequences.

It is solely on them to stop that coming catastrophe.

Caroline Glick: The Strategic Fallout of Biden’s Failure

Arguably, the moment U.S. President Joe Biden’s trip to Israel crashed and burned was on Friday morning during his remarks at Augusta Victoria Hospital on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

Biden’s visit to the all-Arab hospital was the most controversial stop during Biden’s visit to the Jewish state, because it signaled an about-face on America’s long standing support for an undivided Jerusalem.

Not only did Biden refuse to permit Israeli officials to accompany him on his visit to the Jerusalem hospital, but his team removed the Israeli flag from Biden’s limousine as he made his way to it, and refused to permit Israeli reporters to participate in the press pool.

Quite simply, even before Biden made the visit, the hospital tour represented a glaring contradiction of his repeated protestations of undying friendship and support for Israel. If anyone still held out hope that the president who told Israeli television that he was a Zionist was telling the truth, that hope was dispelled utterly when Biden began his remarks at the hospital.

Biden began what quickly became a rambling, largely incoherent speech about how much he likes nurses, hates cancer and misses his late son Beau with the most hostile, anti-Zionist characterization any sitting U.S. president has ever made of Israel. Subscribe to The JNS Daily Syndicate by email and never miss our top stories

In his words: “My background and the background of my family is Irish America, and we have a long history of … not fundamentally unlike the Palestinian people with Great Britain and their attitude toward Irish-Catholics over the years, for 400 years.”

Whereas the rest of the speech was so incoherent it is hard to imagine it was anything other than off the cuff, Biden’s slander of Israel as a colonialist power was clearly prepared because it was followed by a quote from an Irish poem.

The idea that Israel is a harsh colonial overlord in someone else’s land is the essence of the anti-Zionist slander. The false claim that Jews have no history in their historic homeland and no national rights as the indigenous people of the land of Israel is inherent to the narrative.

The ironic and emblematic part of Biden’s visit was that even his unprecedented rejection of Israel’s very right to exist didn’t satisfy his hosts…

Update 1 — Russia About to ‘Run Out of Steam’ In Ukraine, British Spy Chief Says

ASPEN, Colorado, July 21 (Reuters) — Russia’s military is likely to start an operational pause of some kind in Ukraine in the coming weeks, giving Kyiv a key opportunity to strike back, Britain’s spy chief said on Thursday.

Richard Moore, chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) known as MI6, also estimated that about 15,000 Russian troops had been killed so far in its war in Ukraine, adding that was “probably a conservative estimate.”

“I think they’re about to run out of steam,” Moore said, addressing the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, adding that the Russian military would increasingly find it difficult to supply manpower and materiel over the next few weeks.

“They will have to pause in some way, and that will give the Ukrainians opportunities to strike back.”

India: Hindutva Activist Stabbed Over Nupur Sharma Row in Madhya Pradesh by Suspected Islamists

‘Bajrang Dal’ activist attacked by alleged ‘Islamists’ for ‘supporting Nupur Sharma’, 2 arrested in Agar Malwa, MP.

Ratri Jain | HENB | Agar Malwa | July 21, 2022:: A young man was injured after he was attacked by a group of people armed with sharp-edged weapons for allegedly expressing support for former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district on Wednesday, officials said.

The victim Ayush Jadam is a local convener of the Hindutva outfit, ‘Bajrang Dal’ and had purportedly given some statement in support of Ms. Sharma, who was suspended by the BJP last month following a row over her remarks against Prophet Muhammad. Mr. Jadam said the attack was a fallout of a media statement he had given in support of Ms. Sharma. The attack had a clear intention to murder Jadam in a very Jihadi style.

In a statement, Ayush said that during the fatal attack, the Islamists threatened to behead him for supporting Nupur Sharma. Ayush also added that he suspected someone was following him for some days but did not pay much attention to it. “They surrounded me and attacked with sharp weapons. They were saying, ‘cut him into pieces’. I was lucky there was a group of people passing by, and the attackers ran away after seeing them.”

Ayush is now being treated in an Ujjain Hospital and reportedly out of danger.

Following a complaint, the police filed a case against 13 people for the attack on the man identified as Ayush Jadam, 25, and arrested two of the accused, police said.

Agar Malwa’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Rakesh Sagar told PTI that the complainant in the case has claimed Jadam was attacked for supporting Sharma, whose controversial comments about Prophet Mohammad during a TV debate in May had kicked up a huge controversy.

It is a matter of investigation if the victim had indeed supported Sharma and in what manner, he added.

The police arrested two of the accused in the case and a search was on to nab the others, Sagar said.

Jadam sustained head injuries in the assault, the police officer said.

Following the stabbing incident, Bajrang Dal and other right-wing outfits staged a sit-in outside the local Superintendent of Police’s office and demanded swift action against the accused. The police officer said the incident had caused some tension in the area but things were under control after barricades were put up.

Pakistani With 11? Knife Crosses Into India to Behead Nupur Sharma

A senior BSF officer said that the Pakistan man was held on 16 July from the Hindumalkot border outpost. He was found in suspicious conditions by the patrolling team and was immediately detained and frisked.

Jayanti Kalra | HENB | New Delhi | July 20, 2022:: A Pakistani national, who crossed over to India via the international border to allegedly kill suspended BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma, has been held in Sri Ganga Nagar district of Rajasthan.

A joint team of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and other intelligence agencies are interrogating the arrested Muslim Pakistani national of fanatic nature.

A senior Border Security Force (BSF) officer informed that the man was held on 16 July around 11 pm from near the Hindumalkot border outpost. He was found in suspicious condition by a patrolling team. He was immediately detained and frisked.

“We have found an 11-inch long knife, religious books, map, clothes, food and sand in the bag from his possession. He identified himself as Rizwan Ashraf, a native of Mandi Bahauddin city located in Northern Punjab of Pakistan,” he said.

He added that during the preliminary investigation, the suspect informed that he has crossed the border to kill Nupur Sharma over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad. He had planned to visit Ajmer Dargah first for ‘Ziyarat’ (a form of Muslim pilgrimage) before executing his plan.

“We have handed him over to local police for further investigation. He was produced before a magistrate from where he was sent to eight days of police custody. We have informed the concerned intelligence agencies about him,” he added.

A joint team of IB, RAW and military intelligence is interrogating him.

The move comes against the backdrop of now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s remarks on Prophet Mohammad that had led to widespread violent protests across the country and also drew condemnation from some Gulf countries. Side by side, the Islamic threat upon Nupur Sharma has been condemned by many quarters and rallies taken out in support of Nupur Sharma in India and Nepal.

SUE REID investigates Care4Calais

An award-winning photo of smiling asylum seekers standing by London’s red phone boxes is on show at Heathrow airport.

It has been viewed by millions of incoming travellers already this year as part of a new government campaign to portray Britain as a great nation welcoming everyone who comes here.

All this sounds utterly laudable. Except for one or two worrying details.

The image plastered over the airport’s walls acts as a showcase for the charity Care4Calais (C4C) — whose volunteers are also in the picture.

Yet, C4C happens to be a vociferous opponent of the very same government’s immigration policies, playing a key role in delaying last month’s Home Office deportation of Channel boat arrivals to Rwanda.

What is more, this spring and summer, the charity’s volunteers have been ‘meeting and greeting’ migrants sent by traffickers to Britain from France as they reach Dover’s main port and a Kent beach in the shadow of Dungeness nuclear power plant.

Supreme Court Won’t Reinstate Biden Immigration Policies, Pending Litigation

The Supreme Court on Thursday denied a bid by the Biden administration to block a ruling from a federal judge that barred immigration officials from following its enforcement guidelines.

The administration announced the guidelines in September of last year, narrowing the scope of immigration enforcement efforts nationwide. Texas and Louisiana sued the administration asserting that federal officials were obligated to detain immigrants who commit crimes.

In a 5-4 vote, the high court declined to block an earlier ruling from U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton that suspended the guidelines across the country. Anne Frank Trust Goes Strangely Woke

The real lesson of the Holocaust is killing Jews.

Nasima Begum, who used to work as the spokeswoman for the Muslim Council of Britain, does not like Jews very much. Past tweets include heartfelt thoughts such as “Death to you Zionist scum”.

This didn’t stop her from getting work with the BBC or being brought on board by the Anne Frank Trust UK to train the “youth” in the arts of tolerance.

Despite the name of the murdered Jewish girl, the Anne Frank Trust UK was seeking trustees with “lived experiences” of “anti-black racism, disabilism, homophobia and transphobia” and was “particularly keen to address anti-black racism as a priority” as “highlighted by the Black Lives Matter movement”. Those merely concerned about matter of anti-semitism need not apply.

Organizations with Anne Frank’s name, but having nothing to do with her, Holocaust victims or the Jewish community have proliferated around the world. These organizations, generally not even Jewish, have instead served as incubators of antisemitism in exactly this sort of way.

The Anne Frank Foundation in Switzerland funds BDS hate groups. An Anne Frank center in Frankfurt Germany compared ISIS terrorists to Jews. At the Anne Frank Center in Berlin, a Muslim guide compared Israel to Nazi Germany. The Anne Frank House in Amsterdam removed references to Anne’s Jewishness, banned a guide from wearing Jewish clothing and attacked Israel.

Norway: Three Years in Prison for Stating a Man Can’t be a Mother?

Norwegian prosecutors are investigating “hateful” tweets by feminist Christina Ellingsen directed at a man claiming to be a lesbian woman. If convicted, Ellingsen faces up to three years in prison.

“You are a man. You can’t be a mother,” feminist Christina Ellingsen said on Norwegian national television. She was responding to comments made by “Christine Marie” Jentoft, representative of the trans activist group Foreningen FRI. As CNE News reported, Jentoft is a biological male who identifies as a lesbian.

Amnesty International Norway accused Ellingsen of “harassment” because of this. Ellingsen tweeted: “Normalising the idea that men can be mothers is a defined form of discrimination against women.”

Ellingsen wanted to know why the FRI was teaching young people that men can be lesbians. “Isn’t this conversion therapy?” said Ellingsen. She later wrote how “crazy” the FRI was, an “organisation that supposedly protects the interests of young lesbians”.

  1. Biden – does he really have Covid or are they stopping him speaking in public due to dementia?

  2. Alarm:
    childbirth decreases drastically after vaccination

Published 9 July 2022 in Fria Tider

The number of newborns in Stockholm has fallen sharply this year, and similar trends are seen in the rest of the country. It all started with the vaccination program against covid-19.

    – It coincides just in time with the mass vaccination program in April, May last year, says Gunnar Andersson, professor of demography at Stockholm University, to Dagens Nyheter.

Only 3,858 babies were born in Stockholm in the first quarter of this year. That’s 14 percent fewer than in the corresponding period last year.

Since last autumn, the number of admissions to midwifery clinics has also fallen by around 11 percent.

The City of Stockholm does not provide an explanation for the drastic drop in childbirth in its report.

However, similar trends can be seen in the rest of the country, and SCB has been forced to downgrade its birth forecasts, writes DN.

    – We have never seen anything like this before, that the bottom goes out completely in just one quarter, says Professor Gunnar Andersson to DN.

He notes the effect corresponds in time nine months back with when the mass vaccinations started.

    – Demographers in other parts of Europe see the same timing, says Andersson to DN.

    • I respect Dr. Wakefield, and Robert Kennedy Jr. but only randomly get to his website. I missed notice of this.

  3. “President Joe Biden has once again tested positive for COVID-19, despite being fully vaccinated and double-boosted. ”

Maybe that test result is a fake one. This might be a plot of the democrat insiders who want to get rid of Biden. Perhaps the plan is that Biden will resign soon due to health reasons ie. Covid.

    • I think they should put him on a ventilator. lol

P.S. cruel, but I just had to joke about this piece of trash.

  4. Might he succumb to the Chicom Croup or with it?

Much less messy for the Dem’s than the 25th. A win win all around except for Joe. A cold theory to put forth but who can argue that their above it.

I have no fear of “knee-pads” Kamala’s ascension, after all the same people will still be commanding the country.
