Are We Already in a Recession? Yes, According to Fed Indicator With ‘Excellent’ Track Record

A highly watched economic indicator with a good track record in predicting recessions cut its forecast for second-quarter gross domestic product growth this week, implying the nation has fallen into a technical recession despite economists widely calling for a return to growth in the second quarter.

Eurozone Inflation Soars to Record 8.6% in June

The euro hit a record 8.6% in June, a half-percent increase from the previous record a month before.

Inflation was pushed by an increase in energy costs, which had risen 41.9% compared to last year’s numbers. The price increase has been partly connected to Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The cost of food, tobacco and alcohol also surged to a rate 8.9% more expensive than prices last year.

Gas Prices Continue Slight Downward Trend Ahead of July 4, Still Sharply Elevated From Year Ago

Gas prices continued their modest decline over the past week ahead of the July 4 holiday, coming down from just below a $5-per-gallon average while remaining significantly higher than a year ago.

Average national gas prices tracked by AAA put the average gallon of gas in the United States at $4.84 per gallon, down from $4.85 yesterday and $4.92 a week ago.

Those figures, while still markedly high, are a notable decline from the record set in mid-June when gas prices topped $5 per gallon nationally for the first time in U.S. history.

According to AAA, gas prices a year ago sat at an average of $3.12 nationally.

Silver Analyst Says Energy Much Bigger Force Than Manipulation in Silver Prices

With the continued focus on precious metals manipulation, I decided it was a good idea to provide my CONNECT THE DOT analysis on this subject matter. While most analysts and investors in the precious metals community focus a lot of their efforts on the “COMEX” and “Manipulation,” I believe we have much bigger problems ahead that deserve our attention…

I now focus most of my time on how ENERGY will change everything, especially the value of most assets and the metals. But, this won’t be due to anything the Central Banks DO or DON’T DO, but rather… the ENERGY CLIFF.

[Much of his analysis is in an embedded YouTube video where he notes the current average cost of producing silver (~$20/oz) and gold, shows the profit margin of the largest silver producer (huge) and other major players, says there may be a further spike down in silver, but predicts energy prices to go way high with mining costs and metals prices following.]

‘The Findings Are Shocking’ — German Entering Poverty at Record Rate as Inflation and COVID Destroy Prosperity

The proportion of poor people in Germany has reached a new high, according to the Federal Statistical Office, with the data highlighting a sea change in the German economy. The bad news is that the report only covers data up until the end of 2021 before the dramatic increase in food and energy prices in 2022, which means this trend is likely to dramatically worsen over the coming year.

“The findings are shocking, the economic effects of the pandemic are having a full impact,” said Ulrich Schneider, the director of the German Welfare Parity Association, while delivering a presentation of the “Poverty Report 2021.” The association plays a large role in helping deliver and coordinate social welfare services in the country, with 10,000 organization members and association branches in all 15 German states.

White House Tells Americans to Endure High Gas Prices to Save “Liberal World Order”

The White House has told Americans they must continue to endure crippling high gas prices in order to preserve the “liberal world order” and support Ukraine.

Yes, really.

The comments were made by Biden advisor Brian Deese during a CNN interview when he was asked about the cost of living crisis.

“What do you say to those families that say, listen, we can’t afford to pay $4.85 a gallon for months, if not years?” the host asked Deese.

“This is about the future of the Liberal World Order and we have to stand firm,” Deese responded.

As Chicago Crime Sends Businesses Packing, Scientists Create Algorithm to Detect in Advance

Chicago’s legendary crime has caused businesses to leave town amid the growing threat of violence.

“We would do thousands of jobs a year in the city, but as we got robbed more, my people operating rollers and pavers we got robbed, our equipment would get stolen in broad daylight and there would usually be a gun involved, and it got expensive and it got dangerous,” said Gary Rabine, who pulled his road paving company out of the city after his crews were repeatedly robbed.

Rabine told Fox News that the increased costs of security and insurance for “thousands” of jobs in the city eventually caused expenses to be “twice as much as they should be” per employee.

Billionaire Ken Griffin moved his firm, Citadel, from Chicago to Miami, after saying in October 2021 that “Chicago is like Afghanistan, on a good day, and that’s a problem,” adding that he saw “25 bullet shots in the glass window of the retail space” in the building he lives in.

“If people aren’t safe here, they’re not going to live here,” he told the Wall Street Journal in April. “I’ve had multiple colleagues mugged at gunpoint. I’ve had a colleague stabbed on the way to work. Countless issues of burglary. I mean, that’s a really difficult backdrop with which to draw talent to your city from.”

AI to the rescue?

Scientists from the University of Chicago have created a new “AI” algorithm that can predict crime a week in advance.

Baby’s Father Arrested in Mother’s Execution-Style Killing on NYC Street

A suspect in Wednesday’s point-blank execution of a 20-year-old mother as she pushed her 3-month-old child in a stroller on Manhattan’s Upper East Side has been arrested on charges of murder, police announced Friday.

Investigators had been zeroing in on Isaac Argro, 22, in the two day’s since the sidewalk slaying of Azsia Johnson. Law enforcement sources identify Argro as the father of the 3-month-old inside the stroller, who was unharmed.

The NYPD confirmed his arrest late Friday, almost 48 hours after a gunman wearing all black shot the new mother near Lexington Avenue and East 95th Street.

Police had said the gunman approached Johnson from behind around 8:30 p.m., and shot her once in the head before taking off on foot.

Multiple law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the case say investigators recovered surveillance video and other footage from in and around the crime scene — and they continue to canvass for evidence that may track the gunman’s movements…

Biden’s EPA Has America’s Biggest Oil Field in Its Regulatory Crosshairs

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is considering labeling the United States’ largest oil field in violation of ozone pollution standards, threatening drilling operations in the region and, by extension, domestic oil production.

The proposed regulations take aim at the Permian Basin, the largest oil field in the United States, accounting for 95,000,000 gallons of gasoline per day or 40% of the oil produced domestically, according to the Texas Governor’s Office. The move comes amid record gas prices and ongoing energy insecurity for many Americans.

Bookies: Biden Now Third Place in the Odds to Win 2024 Election

It’s not often the incumbent in the White House isn’t the frontrunner for re-election, but it’s even rarer that he’s in third place.

“Biden’s crushed approval ratings and worsening betting odds are causing Democrats to wonder if he is the right figure to take on Trump in 2024,” said Joe Short of Gambling.com. “According to the Wall Street Journal, Democrats expect him to go for a second term at the age of 82, but they’re not sure he should.”

“To make matters even worse for Biden, he is now third favourite to win the 2024 US Presidential election, behind both Trump (3/1) and Florida’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis (4/1),” he said.

Deleted NBC Report Resurfaces — Hillary Clinton Shut Down Investigation Into Elite Pedophile Ring

The Pizzagate topic has been one of great controversy, and for good reason — if true, the implications of the allegations are huge. It would shatter our illusions of powerful people including Presidents, high ranking politicians and those we trust to run our countries. These people would be, under the definitions of our systems, criminals committing heinous and unforgivable crimes.

So is there any truth to the allegations? Mainstream media has been operating as a branch of the Democrat Party’s PR department for years now, so there is no point listening to them about anything. But there was a time in the past when the occasional nugget of truth would be allowed to slip out between the wall-to-wall propaganda.

Take, for instance, this NBC news report that Hillary Clinton, while she was Obama’s secretary of state, shut down an investigation into an elite pedophile ring in the State Department. According to the report presented by Chuck Todd, Clinton shut down the investigation in order to avoid scandal and protect the careers of high ranking officials.

NBC even provided internal State Department memos to back up claims of the Hillary Clinton elite pedophile ring cover-up.

‘Reset the Table’ is Part of the Great Reset

“Reset the Table: Meeting the Moment to Transform the U.S. Food System,”1 published by The Rockefeller Foundation July 28, 2020… was published just one month after the World Economic Forum (WEF) officially announced its plans for a “Great Reset,” and many of the contributors to the Foundation’s paper are WEF members…

On page 10, the Foundation goes so far as to declare … that by “Investing in healthy and protective diets,” Americans will be able to “thrive” …

“Reset the Table” basically describes how they intend to seize control of the food supply and the supply chain… As WEF member Henry Kissinger once said, “Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.”

As for the “healthy and protective diets” the Foundation is calling for, we’ve already been told what that is. For the past several years, the WEF has been promoting the idea that we should get used to eating weeds and bugs and drinking reclaimed sewage.

As noted in a July 2021 WEF article titled, “Why We Need to Give Insects the Role They Deserve in Our Food Systems”:6

“Thanks to new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), we are at a turning point and finally able to industrialize the breeding of insects.”

Man Facing Charges After Car Explodes Outside Oshawa Police Station

An 34-year-old Oshawa man is facing charges following an explosion in front of an police station Thursday evening.

Police say a suspect was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.

There were no injuries as a result of the explosion and no damage to buildings or other vehicles.

Police say the explosive disposal unit cleared the area and that there are no other suspects and no concern for community safety.

Duy Quoc Nguyen of Oshawa faces charges including: arson causing damage to property, possession of incendiary material, unlawful possession of explosives, mischief/damage danger to life, mischief/damage property over $5,000 and driving under suspension.

‘Closure of Coal Industry and Fit for 55 Would be a Disaster, ‘ Says Polish President’s Aide

EU-wide plans to close down coal mines and push through its radical environmental plan, Fit for 55, would be disastrous for the bloc’s energy security, an aide of Poland’s President Andrzej Duda has said.

Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, the former agriculture minister who is currently a presidential advisor, was interviewed by Catholic Radio Maryja. He told listeners that the EU had made a huge mistake by forcing an energy transformation that depended on Russian fossil fuels. The war in Ukraine has revealed the scale of energy dependence on Russia, with Putin exploiting the witless climate policies of Brussels radicals.

Polish PM Morawiecki Under Fire for Accepting EC Funding Milestones

Liberal-leaning news portal Onet.pl claimed some politicians in Poland’s ruling party are calling for the head of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, accusing him of failing to inform them of a number of conditions Poland has accepted in order to activate its operational program for Poland’s allocation of the EU’s Recovery Fund.

The Polish prime minister has publicly assured people that all indicators, objectives, and milestones were discussed and approved by the entire Council of Ministers and that all ministers know full well what these were.

But according to Onet.pl, internal government documents tell a different story.

‘Welcome to the New Eco-Socialism’ Populist MEP Slams Fossil Fuel Car Ban

The EU’s announcement on Wednesday that it will ban the sale of new fossil fuel cars bloc-wide by 2035 has been slammed by a populist MEP, who has argued it will cause “suffering” for “hundreds of thousands”.

A ban on new fossil fuel cars due to come into force by 2035 across the EU has been lambasted by a populist elected representative within the European parliament, who has argued that it will harm “hundreds of thousands of workers “ while making the bloc even more reliant on “autocratically led” regimes.

Dr. Sylvia Limmer, the environment spokesman for the populist Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party’s delegation within the European Parliament, also expressed concern that the agreed ban will come up against the hard reality of material shortages.

“The car as we know it is history with [Wednesday’s] vote in the EU Parliament,” Dr. Limmer said in a statement on the agreed ban given by AfD to Breitbart Europe.

Friday, July 1. Russia’s War on Ukraine: News and Information From Ukraine

Dispatches from Ukraine, provided by Forbes Ukraine’s editorial team.

As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues and the war rages on, reliable sources of information are critical. Forbes Ukraine’s reporters gather information and provide updates on the situation.

Friday, July 1. Day 128.

Odessa. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, a Russian rocket strike on Odessa region has resulted in the destruction of a residential building and a resort facility, leading to 19 deaths and 38 injuries.

Lysychansk. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian forces are shelling the city of Lysychansk with artillery, as well as continuing their assault on the city’s outskirts. Russian forces continue their attempts to take over the strategically important Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway.

Mykolaiv. The Governor of Mykolaiv region, Vitaliy Kim, reports that 12 rockets have been launched at the city of Mykolaiv by the Russian forces. No casualties have been reported.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office—Foreign Minister of Poland, Zbigniew Rau—and OSCE Secretary General, Helga Maria Schmid, have announced that the office of the OSCE Project co-ordinator in Ukraine will be closed following a veto by the Russian Federation on the extension of the co-ordinator’s mandate. This comes after Russia repeatedly accused OSCE of having a pro-Ukrainian bias.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine has filed an accusation with the International Court of Justice accusing Russia of breaking the Genocide Convention. Kuleba accused Russia of “justifying its aggression with a false pretext of a ‘genocide’ that never was,” as well as calling the filing a “Critical step to hold Russia accountable and make Russia pay for the harm it has inflicted.”

The Ukrainian government has requested Turkey detain a ship flying a Russian flag that could be carrying stolen grain. The cargo ship, Zhibek Zholy, has left the port of the Russian-occupied city of Berdyansk with 4,500 tons of grain on board, leading to a claim by the Ukrainian government that the grain was illegally taken. The Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office asked Turkey to “conduct an inspection of this sea vessel, seize samples of grain for forensic examination and demand information on the location of such grain,” adding that Ukraine was ready to conduct a joint investigation with Turkish authorities.

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has announced that it received a grant of €1 billion from the German government. According to the Ministry, the funds will be used to finance priority budget expenditures.

IEA Executive Director Faith Birol reports that June 2022 has been the first month in the bloc’s history in which the EU has imported more gas via LNG from the US than via pipeline from Russia. This announcement follows steep cuts in supply by the government-owned Russian energy corporation Gazprom, which it justified by claiming that sanctions have made it difficult to conduct maintenance on the pipelines.

‘Biggest Mistake of the Century’ — Britain’s Hong Kong Handover 25 Years Ago to Beijing Marked the ‘Beginning of the End’

Rumours of ‘Kill List’ Terrorise NSW Town After Two Teens Allegedly Stabbed to Death in Weeks

Rumours of a horrific “kill list” are swirling through a small country town after two teens were allegedly stabbed to death within weeks of each other.

Fears are mounting that teenagers in a small NSW town are being deliberately targeted by a sick “kill list” after two young people were killed in horrific stabbing attacks within weeks.

On June 25, emergency services rushed to a home on McDougall Street in Casino, in the state’s Northern Rivers region, after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in an allegedly “targeted attack”.

Tragically, the teen died at the scene despite frantic efforts to save him.

“Initial inquiries suggest the incident is targeted,” NSW Police said in a statement at the time.

The victim has since been identified as local teen Ned Gronow, with his shattered siblings describing their “baby brother” in a GoFundMe page as “the extended younger brother for so many in town, loved by all”.

Fellow Casino teen Rayne William Aylward, 18, has since been charged with murder, with police alleging he visited the home before Mr Gronow’s death — the second teen stabbing murder to rock the small community of just 11,000 residents within weeks…

DeSantis Campaign Defends Florida Parental Rights Law, Fires Back at White House ‘Lie’

EXCLUSIVE: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign fired back at the White House Friday, with a spokesperson telling Fox News Digital that the administration “continues to lie” about Florida’s work to protect young children.

“The White House continues to lie about Florida’s work to protect children as young as five years old from sexualized lesson plans,” DeSantis campaign spokeswoman Lindsey Curnutte told Fox News Digital in an exclusive statement Friday.

“Governor DeSantis’s pro-parent education agenda stands in stark contrast to the policies coming out of Washington as Joe Biden tries to steal lunch money from our kids to push woke gender ideology. As a father of three young children, Governor DeSantis is committed to putting students first and protecting parents’ rights, and no false White House statement will change that.”

Jordan Peterson: I’d Rather Die Than Delete Truthful Tweet for Cancel Creeps

By Jordan Peterson

A few days ago, I penned an irritated tweet in response to one of the latest happenings on the increasingly heated culture war front in response to the decision of an actress (actor) named Ellen (Elliot) Page. I am employing this awkward and impossible multiple-naming style because it is now apparently mandatory — and probably doing it wrong, nonetheless, as “you’re doing it wrong” is the whole point of what has been made mandatory — but also to make a point.

I have essentially been banned from Twitter as a consequence. I say banned, although technically I have been suspended. But the suspension will not be lifted unless I delete the “hateful” tweet in question, and I would rather die than do that. And hopefully it will not come to that, although who the hell knows in these increasingly strange days?

Earlier this year, Rufo publicized video footage of an internal company call, in which Disney executives discussed the company’s “not-at-all secret gay agenda,” including a push for more LGBT cartoon characters.

  3. @ Baron

Re: “The U.S. Army issued a directive that requires all members of the National Guard and Reserves to comply with its ‘vaccine’ mandate.”

SARS-Co-19 is no longer endemic and isn’t dangerous to the readiness or fitness of the army…. so what’s really going on here?

If I can just find my tin-foal hat around here someplace, it sure looks like a conspiracy to weaken the military, by actor or actors unknown, but one of whom is probably the People’s Republic of China. You know, Biden’s good pal and probable employer, Xi Xinping and company!

It is an open secret that the so-called vaccines have proven highly dangerous to young and otherwise healthy people who take them. Dramatic increases in myocarditis, an illness almost unknown among the healthy young, lethal and sudden-onset clotting disorders, immune system damage and HIV-like symptoms, and more… these are just some of the effects seen in similar populations. Not to mention young people in the prime of life dropping dead in the midst of athletic events or immediately afterward.

Cui Bono… who benefits from forcing the “clot shot” and “death vaxx” upon our military personnel? The only answer which makes sense is our enemies.

The fact that the Army Chief of Staff is apparently on board with this agenda makes me wonder who he works for also. What about the head of AMEDD, Army Medical Command? That general ought to be sounding the alarm, but there’s nothing but crickets to be heard. What gives? The rot and corruption are deep.

If there explanation which makes better sense of these data points, I’m open to changing my mind, but thus far, this is the model which fits best. The old adage says never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity, but that adage is not correct in all times and places, and this may be one of those instances.

  4. Baron, can you look into the future?

  5. Burned Koran – driven off E6

    Published 2 July 2022 at 20.39

EXCERPT. Lars Thorsen, leader of the Norwegian Islam-critical movement Sian, was today run off the highway and flipped his car. Before the incident, Thorsen had been burning a Koran – and police believe the collision was deliberate, Verdens Gang reports.

Lars Thorsen and four other people were travelling in the car that was run off the E6 at Mortensrud on Saturday afternoon.

“We have every reason to believe that the Sian car was hit deliberately, causing it to run off the road and end up upside down,” Oslo police say.

The reason for the suspicion is that during the day Sian burned a Koran in the Osl area.

    Woman arrested
The driver of the car, a woman, has been arrested on suspicion of a serious violent offence.

Norwegian media have published a film showing the incident. The video was recorded by the anti-immigration Alternative Media, which followed the Sian car after the Koran burning.

The five people in the car have been treated, but no one is reported to be seriously injured.

  6. Bernard Shaw said that the greatest question asked over the last two thousand years was when the Roman soldier asked Jesus what was the truth.

Today we have another equally great question: A hijabbed muslima whom we have bent over backwards to install them as our caliphate masters, asked a question when qurans are being burnt in Scandinavia: she asked if you burn the Koran then why did you invite us here and hate us so much.

After 9/11 some Americans also wondered “why they hate us so much?”

  7. If one is going to collapse a society, you not only render the military incapable of action, you also hit the employees of local and state governments.

Whilst the majority of the local and state government workers are incompetent, there are enough of them to make a local community and state function from day-to-day. But if you depopulate these employees, suddenly that smooth functioning become a memory. Chaos naturally ensues.

Who knows, perhaps clearing out this mass of deadwood (and the unfortunate functioning employees) and hiring new pure-blood might do good wonders for local governmental efficiencies?

It’s all too ghastly to fully contemplate. We all thought mass genocide ended 75+ years ago. What kind of deranged lunatic would bring it back in the 21st century?
