Get Ready for $1 Per Egg: USDA Forecast Predicts Highest Food Inflation Since 1980
The topic of inflation is in the news nearly every day and is now the top concern among voters in most polls. Things are likely to get even worse.
Most Americans are familiar with the all items Consumer Price Index (CPI). This metric is based on changes for all consumer goods and services. However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Economic Research Service measures the changes to retail food prices only. The agency’s May Food Price Outlook should add to voter concerns.
While the all items CPI for April was 8.3%, food alone increased by 9.4%, according to the USDA. Food consumed at home also increased more than the price of food away from home. Grocery store and supermarket purchases rose 10.8% year over year in April. The USDA’s forecast for May predicts the cost of food will increase again and significantly by fall.

Is Spain on the Verge of National Bankruptcy?
Spain is not only one of the European countries where the Corona hysteria was successfully enacted, but also the fifth most indebted country in the world. State bankruptcy seems to be just around the corner. That is why the left-wing socialist government is in the process of passing a law allowing expropriations of private property and a “corralito”.
The latter means that the state can access the savings people have in their bank accounts. In such “crisis situations”, the citizen would only have the right to withdraw smaller sums. The rest of the money could be “temporarily” confiscated. The maximum amount would be determined by the authority of the respective country, the portal La Información explained in March 2021.

May Payrolls Drop to 13 Month Low But Come in Hotter Than Expected; Wage Growth Eases

ACLU Sues Johnny Depp for Legal Expenses in Amber Heard Case
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is demanding Johnny Depp paid the legal expenses it incurred during Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. Radar Online reports that court documents it obtained show that the ACLU filed a motion seeking reimbursement as part of the 2021 lawsuit Depp filed against the ACLU. Depp sued the ACLU for records related to Heard.
The newly filed motion asks for $86,253.26 for production expenses from Depp.

A few months before the 2016 elections, Sussmann initiated a meeting with his friend James Baker who at the time served as the FBI’s General Counsel. In that meeting, Sussmann shared allegations that Donald Trump had untoward relations with the Kremlin. Sussmann alleged that the Trump Organization shared a computer server with Alpha Bank, a Russian bank allegedly connected to the Kremlin.
In 2019, then Attorney General Bill Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the conspiracy that has come to be known as “Russiagate.” Russiagate is a catchword that describes an apparent conspiracy of the FBI, Clinton’s campaign, the Justice Department and the media to demonize Trump and his advisors as Russian agents. Charter Goes to Civil Trial Over Customer Murdered by Installer
The family of an Irving, Texas woman killed by a Charter installer is suing the cable company. And for some reason, the MSO hasn’t settled
The family of an 83-year-old Irving, Texas woman murdered by a Charter Communications installation rep, convicted of using his company van and uniform to gain entry into her residence, has sued the cable company.
The surprising part of the story: Charter has let this matter, and the associated miserable PR that comes with it, proceed to a civil trial, which starts Monday in Dallas.
Roy Holden Jr. has already pleaded guilty to robbing and fatally stabbing Betty Thomas in December 2019. He’s now locked up in a Texas prison for the rest of his life.
The plaintiffs’ suit details how, through a romantic relationship with a Charter colleague, Holden secured access to a company van the day after visiting Thomas for a legitimate service call, his aim being to gain the victim’s trust so that he could rob her.
The suit blames Charter for not doing enough to protect Thomas from a killer, failing to perform a necessary level of employment background checks. It accuses Charter operatives of interfering with the murder investigation, failing to release damning internal video.
And it also says that the very cutting tool used by Holden to murder Thomas was provided by Charter…

‘Distressingly’ High Level of Support for Assassinating Politicians Among Young Democratic Men
More than half of Republicans believe the U.S. is drifting toward another civil war, according to a new poll released Wednesday by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which said it detected evidence of radicalization among both Democrats and the GOP.
The survey, taken in late April and covering 1,500 adults, also found a distressingly high level of support for assassinating politicians whom the respondents believed were “harming the country or our democracy.”
Young Democratic men were the most agreeable to the idea, with 44% saying they could countenance such an assassination. Younger Republican women ranked second, with 40% approving of the idea. Older folks — defined as those 50 and older — were not fans of assassination, no matter their party or gender.

Door-to-Door Salesman Charged in N.J. Stabbing Death Claims Self Defense
A door-to-door salesman charged with the stabbing death of a 44-year-old Jackson resident last week told investigators he was acting in self-defense after the other man grabbed him by the collar and twice threatened to kill him, authorities said.
The deadly confrontation between the salesman, Michael Tsamas, and Joseph Delgardio was captured on video by a neighbor recording from her bedroom window as well as on the dashboard camera of a man driving on West Veterans Highway near Connor Road, according to a criminal complaint.
The stabbing occurred minutes after Delgardio told Tsamas to leave because he thought the salesman was attempting to scam him.
Tsamas, 32, of the Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge, was working for a third-party company — Grizzly Solutions — on behalf of Verizon when he visited Delgardio’s home…

Florida Deputies Shoot, Kill Suspect Accused of Machete Attack: Report
Florida deputies shot and killed a suspect who allegedly stabbed another man with a machete.
Okaloosa County deputies received a call Friday morning about a suspect who stabbed a victim while the victim was walking on the beach with his wife, WEAR-TV reported.
Sheriff Eric Aiden said deputies engaged the suspect and asked him to put the machete down.

Lawyers Who Torched NYPD Vehicle During Summer of 2020 Plead Guilty to Conspiracy Charges

New Analysis Details Enormous Economic Consequences as Earners Flee Blue States for Red
A new analysis of IRS data shows the financial consequences of gaining or losing population can be either extremely rewarding or devastating to individual states. In 2020, blue states repelled the highest earners while red states attracted them, resulting in massive economic losses and gains.

New Republican Bill Would Criminalize Supreme Court Leaks

A group of 12 House Republicans introduced a bill in Congress this week that would make knowingly sharing confidential information from the Supreme Court a crime punishable by a fine or as many as five years in prison.
The legislation comes a month after a leaked draft majority opinion indicated the Supreme Court was preparing to overturn Roe v. Wade, the seminal 1973 precedent that federalized abortion policy, overriding the states and making the procedure lawful throughout the entire United States. The landmark 7-2 decision held that a woman’s right to an abortion was safeguarded by her right to privacy under the Fourteenth Amendment. Politico published the draft decision written by Justice Samuel Alito in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization on May 2.
Left-wing critics were outraged that the high court is considering overturning Roe v. Wade, while conservatives were angered that the leak, perpetrated by a person or persons still unknown, appeared calculated to inflame public opinion and persuade the justices to reconsider reversing the 49-year-old abortion precedent. Some have argued the unprecedented leak of the full opinion is a kind of terrorist attack on the judicial branch of the federal government.
The proposed Leaker Accountability Act is a three-page bill (pdf) whose principal sponsor is House Republican Conference vice chairman Mike Johnson (R-La.). GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) is also a sponsor. The bill was introduced May 31.

New York City Man Who Supported ISIS Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison: DOJ
An Uzbekistan citizen who lives in New York City and was previously convicted of conspiring to and attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State terror group was sentenced Friday to 15 years in prison.
Dilkhayot Kasimov, 34, was handed down the prison term following his conviction of both counts after a one-week trial in 2019, the Justice Department said.
“Kasimov is an ISIS supporter who collected and gave money to another individual to fund his travel to join the terrorist group. With this sentence, Kasimov is being held accountable for his crimes,” Assistant Attorney General for National Security Matthew G. Olsen said in a statement.

Oregon Overdoses Reach Record Highs After Decriminalization of Hard Drugs
Following Oregon’s decision to decriminalize hard drugs in 2021, there has been a marked increase in overdoses and drug-related deaths. The largest spike coming primarily from opioids and fentanyl-laced methamphetamine.
According to The Seattle Times, Republican State Representative Lilly Morgan noted a 700-percent increase in overdoses and a 120-percent increase in overdose deaths. She said, “we have overdoses increasing at drastic rates… How long do we wait before we have an impact that we’re saving lives?”

Sandmann Lawyer Joins Rittenhouse Team, Says Zuckerberg a ‘Top’ Target of Numerous ‘Solid’ Lawsuits
The lawyer who represented Covington Catholic student Nicholas Sandmann during his defamation cases has joined Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal team, and says there will be “at least 10” defamation lawsuits against prominent figures and companies for comments against the teenager.
“I’ve been hired to head the effort to determine whom to sue, when to sue, where to sue,” Todd McMurtry, who now represents Rittenhouse, told Fox News Digital in a phone interview Thursday morning. “We’re going to look at everything that’s been said, determine which of those comments are legally actionable and proceed from there.”
McMurtry said it’s “pretty much assured that there’s probably 10 to 15 solid” cases against “large defendants.”

Shooting at Ames, Iowa Church Leaves 3 Dead, Including Shooter
Authorities say an adult man shot and killed two female victims then shot himself in a parking lot outside Ames’ Cornerstone Church on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
A man shot and killed two female victims, then killed himself, in a parking lot outside Ames’ Cornerstone Church Thursday night, according to police and officials at the church.
“We are grieving deeply,” said a statement from Mark Vance, with the Salt Company youth ministry at Cornerstone Church. “Tonight, a tragic shooting occurred involving two young members of our Cornerstone Church community. It is believed that an adult male shot these two victims and then took his own life.”
The suspected shooter appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Story County Sheriff Capt. Nicholas Lennie said. The ages of the female victims were not immediately known.

Special Olympics Int’l Removes Vaccination Requirement After Threats of $27.5m in Fines
Amidst the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games, to be hosted from June 5th to June 12th in Florida, the organizational team at Special Olympics International (SOI) decided to impose vaccine mandates for every participant.
But it goes against the section 381.00316(1) of the Florida Statutes, which states the following:
“A business entity, as defined in s. 768.38 to include any business operating in this state, may not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or postinfection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state. This subsection does not otherwise restrict businesses from instituting screening protocols consistent with authoritative or controlling government-issued guidance to protect public health.”
Ron DeSantis’ free state of Florida made several attempts to communicate with SOI, and alert them that they are not allowed to implement a vaccine requirement for their event. SOI allegedly ignored every warning, according to a State of Florida letter.

The school district police chief who was one of the first officers to arrive at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, didn’t have a police radio with him when responding to the incident, according to a report.

Virginia Parents Must Pay $20,000 to Find Out if Schools Are Promoting ‘Sex Work’
Virginia’s public school system says it may have more than 4,000 documents including lesson plans, emails and other materials about prostitution, or “sex work,” but concerned parents who want details about those plans must pay $20,000 to acquire them.
According to the Daily Wire, Virginia’s capital of Richmond has a potential trove of materials that were first revealed following a Freedom of Information Act request performed by the publication for materials including the terms “sex work” and “sex worker.” The terms were used in teaching materials and communications between state school employees.

Washington DC Hospital Embraces Facial Recognition Tech
The Virginia Hospital Center Health System, in the Washington DC area, will start using facial recognition.
VHC Health said it will use tech from a company called Certify, which develops patient identification technology, allegedly to reduce fraud and patient misidentification.
VHC Health will test the technology in its cardiology and radiology departments starting this month, a press release states. A full rollout is expected by the end of the year.

College Requires Students, Faculty to Agree They’ve Benefited From White Privilege
A Canadian college is under fire after social media users discovered the school required students and faculty joining a Zoom call to agree they have benefited from white privilege and vow to engage in acts of “decolonization.”
George Brown College, a public school with multiple campuses in Toronto, allegedly required participants to read a lengthy statement acknowledging Indigenous land ownership and the evils of slavery before clicking a box marked “I Agree” to join a video conference.
A representative for George Brown College did not respond to multiple requests by The College Fix for comment.

Government Tries to Get Rocco Galati’s Case Against COVID Restrictions Tossed
On Tuesday, we were back in B.C. Supreme Court to cover another COVID-19 restriction related case that the legacy media will probably ignore.
Unlike the previous four hearings, which focused on challenging the constitutionality of the province’s discriminatory vaccine passport and it’s rigid exemption regime, the fifth case was a battle to see if a lawsuit related to other COVID-19 measures will ever be heard at all.
Back in August 2021, constitutional lawyer Rocco Galati, who was retained by a non-profit organization called Action 4 Canada, filed a 391-page notice of civil claim in B.C.’s Supreme Court.

Trans Activist Arrested After Allegedly Throwing Water During Freedom Protest in B.C.
On May 28, around 500 people attended the “Reclaiming Canada Protest” in front of Victoria’s legislature building.
The protest would have been peaceful if not for a small group of counter-protesters who chanted about trans rights and appeared to be opposed to two of the protests guest speakers.

Shortly after mass rioting broke out during the Liverpool-Real Madrid Champions League match at the Stade de France in the troubled multicultural neighborhood of Saint-Denis, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin rapidly tried to place the blame for the assaults and robberies on English fans from LIverpool.
The problem for France’s interior minister is that it appears the French are simply not buying his explanation.
According to an Odoxa Backbone Consulting poll conducted for Le Figaro, 76 percent of French people remain unconvinced by Gérald Darmanin’s explanations of the riots that broke out on Saturday. In fact, the same poll shows that 61 percent of respondents instead blame “youths” from “troubled neighborhoods” in the area.

The situation reminded many people that with the current European energy policy, the question is not whether there will be a blackout but rather when it will come, writes Markéta Šichtarova for the Echo24 daily.
We know that renewable energy sources are less stable than conventional sources. It is still impossible to fully replace a unit of power from an old source of energy with the same unit of power from a renewable source. However, Europe is switching off old sources faster than installing new capacities. Also, there is a lack of classic energy resources, not only because of political reasons and the green agenda but also due to the war. Furthermore, Czechia’s electrical transmission system is not designed for such a sharp increase in renewables.

Due to Hungary’s attempts to “blackmail” Europe by abusing its veto power, Hungary should be stripped of its voting rights, said European Parliament Vice-President Katarina Barley in an interview on MDR Aktuell, a German public broadcasting program.
The Social Democratic Party (SPD) politician, who has long called for Hungary and Poland to be “starved,” wants to use a legal trick to overturn the European principle of democracy by suspending Hungary’s voting rights over alleged violations of the rule of law.

France: Mayor of Nice Calls for Facial Recognition in Public Places
Chrisitan Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, France, wants the deployment of facial recognition technology to prevent incidents like the clashes at Stade De France last week.
French authorities and Uefa blamed late arrivals and fake tickets for chaos outside the Stade de France before last Saturday’s Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid. Some blamed the organizers for overcrowding and the harsh use of police force. Allegations also emerged of incidents of sexual assaults by gangs of locals.
In an interview on Europe 1, Estrosi said “I wish we could use facial recognition.”

Germany Seeks to Avoid School Closures if COVID Surges Again
Germany’s federal and state leaders agreed Thursday to try to avoid closing schools and child care facilities if there is another surge in coronavirus cases this fall.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz said after meeting with the governors of Germany’s 16 states that the goal would be to prevent “another blanket closure” of schools and kindergartens like what happened during previous waves of the pandemic.
Scholz said while the situation is expected to further ease during the summer months, authorities are preparing for a possible rise in cases this fall.

Germany is Offering Poland Outdated Tanks That Need Modernization, Says Military Expert
As a result of internal agreements within NATO, countries from the Central and Eastern Europe region such as Poland and Czechia have provided Ukraine with post-Soviet tanks. Germany was to compensate these nations by providing them Leopard tanks. While Czechia has agreed to receive an older version of the Leopards, Poland, which has sent over 200 of its tanks to Ukraine, has not reached such an agreement with Germany. According to Der Spiegel, Polish-German talks on the matter have reached a dead end.
Defense analyst Jaroslaw Wolski says that “Germany was adamant that it can make up for the needed tanks, but now it turns out that although they can deliver tanks, their numbers are not sufficient to offset those sent to Ukraine, and those that are on offer are not combat-ready.”

Older Men Beaten, Thrown Onto Tracks After Asking ‘Youths’ To Stop Vaping on Train in England
Two older men were beaten by a mob of ‘laughing youths’ who threw one of their victims onto train tracks after they were asked to stop vaping on a tram in England, according to reports.

Poland Signs Groundbreaking 700 Million Contract to Deliver Dozens of New Krab Howitzers to Ukraine
On Tuesday, Poland signed a contract in Kyiv for three new Krab gun-howitzer squadrons for Ukraine, which will consist of around 60 howitzer artillery pieces able to strike targets up to 40 kilometers away.
The first squadron of 18 howitzers arrived in Ukraine last week. At that time, the tracked equipment was sent from Polish Army stockpiles. War footage from Ukraine proves that artillery is an essential weapon on the modern battlefield.
The equipment will be produced by Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW), part of Polish Armaments Group S.A. Deliveries will be completed during the next few to several months as the current production capacity of HSW is 20 to 30 pieces per year. The transaction value is 3 billion zloty (over $700 million); Ukraine is the first foreign client of HSW for this type of equipment.

UK Communications Regulator Tells Tech Platforms to Protect Women From “Potential Harms”
The UK’s communications regulator, the Office of Communications (Ofcom), has urged tech platforms to make the online world “a safer space for women and girls” and hopes to use new regulatory powers to pressure these platforms into changing their services.
Ofcom called for these changes after publishing its “Online Nation 2022” report which focuses heavily on so-called “potential harms” which are defined as “incidences of content or behaviour which have the potential to cause harm.” In the report, Ofcom admits that potential harms may not result in any harm being caused yet it’s still using this report as the basis of its call for tech platforms to “act on safety concerns of female users.”

What Energy Crisis? Swedish Parliament Votes to Halt All New Extraction of Oil, Gas, Coal
The Swedish Parliament has voted to ban any new extraction of oil, natural gas or coal as some right-wing parties have slammed the move as impairing Sweden’s ability to have a secure supply of energy.
Sweden’s Parliament, the Riksdag, has voted to amend a law granting mining permits so that permits for the extraction of coal, crude oil, shale oils, and natural gas will no longer be granted, as was the case with the extraction of uranium previously.

Russian forces moved by air and land to attack Kyiv on Friday, hitting defenses across Ukraine that Western defense officials said were unexpectedly strong, while Moscow signaled openness to holding talks with the Ukrainian government.
Despite the overture, Russian President Vladimir Putin Friday excoriated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his government, comparing them to terrorists.
“They hide behind people in the hope of later blaming Russia for the civilian casualties,” Mr. Putin told a security council meeting.
After dark on Friday, Mr. Zelensky released a video of himself standing in front of the presidential headquarters in central Kyiv with his chief of staff, the country’s prime minister, and the parliament majority leader. “We are all here, defending our independence and our state. And that’s how it will be,” he said, as Russian media spread rumors of him having fled the city.
Mr. Zelensky also spoke by phone with President Biden for about 40 minutes late Friday. The Biden administration is considering additional support to the Ukrainian military. U.S. and European Union officials said they plan to impose sanctions on Mr. Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Seven MINUSMA peacekeepers killed after a UN convoy hit an improvised explosive device, according to the mission.
A roadside bomb explosion in central Mali has killed seven United Nations peacekeepers and seriously wounded three others, according to the UN mission’s statement on Twitter.
A logistics convoy struck an improvised explosive device on Wednesday in the Bandiagara area in the Mopti region when driving between the towns of Douentza and Sevare, an area where groups linked to al-Qaeda and ISIL (ISIS) operate.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.

Observers Say Erdogan Using Migrants as Political Weapon Against Greece
Some observers say Turkish Recep Erdogan is once again using migrants as a political weapon against Greece as at least 40,000 people so far this year have been been turned away at the border.
The Greek Coast Guard has intercepted around 40,000 migrants attempting to enter the country from Turkey via the Aegean Sea.
“In the first four months of 2022, about 40,000 migrants tried to enter the country illegally,” Civil Protection Minister Takis Theodorikakos revealed.
Observers say that Erdogan is once again using migrants as a weapon, this time to punish Greece for trying to block the sale of American fighter jets to Turkey.

German Kids’ TV Fully Embraces Pro-Transgender Content, Ignores Side Effects and Life-Altering Risks
Germany’s state-funded media and television networks are producing a full range of pro-transgender content, and one of their main target audiences happen to be young children. This controversial children’s programming routinely depicts transgender people as courageous figures who should not only be admired but also emulated, with little to no discussion devoted to potential downsides or side effects involved with the life-altering decisions associated with hormone therapy and surgery.
One of the biggest promoters of pro-transgender content is children’s programming giant KiKA, which receives a massive amount of taxpayer money from public television networks ARD and ZDF, both networks accused of an extreme left-wing bias. KiKA has long presented gender change, hormone blockers, and even transition surgery as positive and healthy goals for young people despite a growing number of doctors and even medical authorities, including the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, now advising against children and teens taking hormone blockers due to the adverse medical and psychological costs.

Norwegian Feminist Faces 3 Years in Jail for Claiming ‘Trans’ Males Aren’t Women
Norwegian feminist Christina Ellingsen is being investigated for hate crime charges related to tweets she made between February 2021 and January 2022.

Small Town Indiana Drag Show for Kids Cancelled Due to Backlash
A drag show for kids that had been scheduled for later this month in Jasper, Indiana has been canceled due to backlash.
The event was to be hosted by the group Dubois County Pride as part of the larger Pride in the Park event. Twitter Expands Censorship Nudges to New Languages
Cattle are prodded to go in a required direction, while social media users are “nudged” — and some platforms have no problem using this kind of language to describe how they are “handling” and directing their users’ activities.
In the latest example — that has to do with “potentially offensive” prompts in languages other than English — Twitter’s Safety team shouts this from the rooftops in a blog post titled, “How Twitter is nudging users to have healthier conversations.”
So in addition to positioning itself as arbiter of truth, one might deduce Twitter is coming out as a “health” expert.

Despite persistent accusations of transphobia, a poll from the LGBT charity Stonewall has revealed that the British public is overwhelmingly tolerant of homosexuality and transgenderism, with just four per cent of respondents reporting fear of trans or gay people.
A survey conducted in conjunction between Opinium and Britain’s largest LGBT charity of over 2,000 people in the United Kingdom found that the public is far more likely to express respect or admiration rather than fear or disgust towards people who identify as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or transgender.
