Inflation Nation: Average Wages in Britain Fall at Fastest Rate on Record
The buying power of the average wage for British workers is falling at the fastest rate on record, as the inflationary crisis has wiped out all gains in salary and bonuses.
Figures released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Tuesday showed that regular pay, which excludes bonuses, fell by 4.5 per cent over the past month when taking inflation into account, the sharpest decline since comparable records began in 2001. Even when taking bonuses into account, wages still fell by 3.7 per cent, however, this figure was bolstered by high payouts in the financial services sector, the ONS said.

Wall Street’s Favorite Recession Indicator is Flashing Red
A closely watched recession predictor in the bond market just flashed red, spurring fresh concern that the US economy is on track for a downturn this year as a result of the Federal Reserve’s war on inflation.
The spread between the 2-year and 10-year Treasury yields inverted this week for the first time since April on fears that the Federal Reserve’s aggressive approach to tackling the hottest inflation in four decades could lead to a sustained slowdown in growth. The phenomenon — which is rare — has been a historically accurate predictor of recessions.
Yields on the 2-year Treasury note climbed as high as 3.431% during morning trading on Tuesday, rising above those on 30-year bonds, which fell to about 3.277%. The movement reflects “fears of a Fed policy error and an impending recession,” according to Mark Hackett, chief of investment research at Nationwide.
Yield curve inversions are viewed as a good recession predictor because it suggests that investors believe — with the interest rate on long-term bonds lower than the rate on short-term bonds — economic growth is slowing. Every recession in the past 60 years was preceded by an inverted yield curve, according to research from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

WASHINGTON— Today, America First Legal released 166 pages of documents proving that school district bureaucrats and a cadre of taxpayer-funded “consultants” are using Critical Race Theory to “transform” public education and indoctrinate American children.
America First Legal, working with Wally Zimolong of Zimolong LLC, sued the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District in Chester County, PA on behalf of Ben Auslander, a father who exercised his right to review the materials that the District was using to “educate” children in the District. The District had hired the Pacific Educational Group (PEG), a California-based education consultant that claims “Systemic Racism is the most devastating factor contributing to the diminished capacity of all children” to run teacher training and shape the curriculum.
But when the time came for Mr. Auslander to see what the District and PEG were up to, the District told him he could not make notes, photocopy, or take pictures of PEG’s presentations. Mr. Auslander tried to take voice notes on his phone, but to hide the truth, the District terminated the inspection and threw him out, claiming that PEG had asserted copyright protections on its training materials.
Then, AFL sued the District on behalf of Mr. Auslander.

Alexandria City Council Addresses Youth Violence After 18-Year-Old Stabbed to Death in Fight
The Youth Safety and Resilience Concept recommends creating a task force and holding conversations with teenagers.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — City leaders in Alexandria want to improve teen safety and reduce violence among students following the stabbing death of an Alexandria City High School senior.
Mayor Justin Wilson and Councilwoman Alyia Gaskins drafted a memorandum known as the Youth Safety and Resilience Concept to better address mental health needs, identify challenges and needs and incorporate community engagement.
“Whenever you have kids feeling like they need to resolve their problems with weapons and violence, there is a problem that we still have work to do no matter how big those numbers are and no matter how many times this occurs or doesn’t occur,” Wilson said.
In May, 18-year-old Luis Hernandez died after being stabbed in a large fight near his high school.
In the memorandum, Wilson and Gaskins said, “We must engage a diverse range of stakeholders to listen to the experiences of our young people, learn what is at the root of youth trauma and violence, and act.”…

Caterpillar to Move Headquarters to Texas From Illinois in Fresh Blow to the Chicago Area
Caterpillar Inc. said Tuesday it will move its global headquarters from Illinois to an existing divisional office in Irving, Texas, in the Dallas—Forth Worth area, in another blow to metropolitan Chicago, which last month lost the Boeing Co. headquarters.
The move is “in the best strategic interest of the company,” Chief Executive Jim Umpleby said in a statement. The heavy-machinery maker has had a presence in Texas since the 1960s, it said.
Even with the move, Illinois has the largest concentration of Caterpillar CAT —0.09% employees anywhere in the world, the company said. The headquarters was historically in downstate Peoria, Ill., before a move to the Chicago suburb of Deerfield in 2017.

Columbus Police Find Multiple Explosive Devices, Arrest Man After Standoff
The Columbus Police Department arrested a suspect after a standoff on 19th Street and located multiple explosive devices in the area, according to a news release.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 13th Avenue and 19th Street Monday morning at 5:14 a.m. regarding a man acting erratically and threatening to set fires, the release said. Multiple improvised explosive devices were found in the area, according to police.
“It’s sort of a mixed bag on whether they would have or could have gone off,” Sgt. Aaron Evrard, assistant public information officer for CPD, told the Ledger-Enquirer. “But they definitely had the capability of igniting. At least, I will say there was definitely the capability for them to cause damage.”
The devices would not have caused a massive explosion because they were small, Evrard said, and they were not “particularly sophisticated.” However, they did have the potential to create fire, he said.

Fieldhouse Gunman Aimed Weapon at a Coach Before Shooting, Witness Says
At least two shots were fired inside facility where summer camps were being held Monday
Diana Vasquez was in the lobby dropping off her twins Monday morning when she saw a coach approach a man about smoking a cigarette inside.
Vasquez said the coach asked the man to take the smoking outside.
“The guy then, I guess, grabs his weapon and the coach sees [it] and so he says ‘You have a weapon on you?’ And he says, ‘Yes, you wanna see?’ And he pulls it out. Turns on the laser and he aims it at the coach,” said Vasquez.
Police said the gunman, identified Tuesday by Duncanville police, fired at least twice — once in the lobby and once at a glass door with 40 children and staffers on the other side.

House Approves SCOTUS Security Boost After Kavanaugh Scare — But 27 Dems Vote ‘No’
The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a bill providing additional security to Supreme Court justices and their family members Tuesday — six days after an assassination attempt against Justice Brett Kavanaugh was stopped and more than a month after the legislation cleared the Senate by unanimous consent.

No Record of Biden Naval Academy Appointment He Boasted of in Speech
President Biden claimed last month at the Naval Academy’s graduation ceremony that he was appointed to the military school in 1965 by the late Sen. J. Caleb Boggs (R-Del.), but a search of Boggs’ archives has failed to turn up evidence to back the claim.
Curators at the Delaware Historical Association in Wilmington were able to find records of Boggs’ academy nominations for just one year in the early 1960s and could not locate records for either 1965 or the more plausible year 1961.

Ohio Becomes Tenth State to Allow Teachers to Carry Firearms
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed a bill that would allow teachers to carry firearms after 24 hours of training. There is also a requirement for eight hours of annual refresher training. Ohio becomes the tenth state to allow teachers and/or school employees to carry a firearm to school.

Rep. Sean Casten’s 17-Year-Old Daughter Gwen Dead
Rep. Sean Casten’s 17-year-old daughter Gwen Casten died Monday morning, his office has announced.
The Illinois Democrat’s office released a short statement saying the teen passed away but did not provide any further details.
“This morning, Congressman Casten’s beloved daughter, Gwen (17), passed away,” Casten’s office said. “The Casten family requests privacy, and we will be issuing no further comment during this heartbreaking time.”

Last Monday in Seattle municipal court, 20-year-old Liban Harasam, a prolific offender was charged after he allegedly entered a classroom of a Seattle Public School, rifled through student’s belongings, grabbed two students, then attempted to steal a DHL delivery truck all while being suspected of being high on meth.

Canada Fails to Justify Continued Use of Vaccine Passports
In a hearing in the House of Commons, the head of the Public Health Agency Canada (PHAC) was unable to produce any data that justifies why the agency has not lifted federal COVID passports.

Liberals and NDP Shut Down Debate on Internet Censorship Bill
The Liberals along with the NDP voted to shut down debate on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s internet censorship law, Bill C-11.
According to Blacklock’s Reporter, a vote by Liberal MP Sean Casey on a motion for the House of Commons heritage committee to immediately pass the bill cited “the procedural games, the obstructionist tactics, the filibusters and the like.” It was passed by 174 votes for and 146 against.

Maxime Bernier and Brian Peckford to Continue Legal Challenge Against Feds’ Mandates
Despite the Trudeau government’s decision to suspend the vaccine mandate for domestic travel, People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier and former Premier of Newfoundland Brian Peckford say they will continue their legal challenge against the federal government’s vaccine mandates.
The government announced Tuesday afternoon that mandatory vaccination requirements for domestic and outbound flights, as well as for trains would end on Jun. 20. The vaccine mandate for federal employees will also end.

Dutch Minister Slammed After Calling for Youth From France’s Crime-Ridden Suburbs to Fill Jobs
The call from a senior Dutch government minister to import and employ young people from problem neighborhoods in France and Spain has been ridiculed as “crazy” and “dangerous” by the country’s national-conservative opposition.

Poland: President Duda Pushes for More NATO Forces on Eastern Flank of Europe
Given the war in Ukraine and other challenges facing Europe, the need for more NATO forces in the east is obvious, said Polish President Andrzej Duda while speaking at a meeting of the country’s joint chiefs of staff and the defense minister.
Duda began by saying that this was the first such meeting since the pandemic, the hybrid attack on the Polish border with Belarus, and the war in Ukraine. These challenging events inevitably mean that there is a need to review the structure of the Polish armed forces, logistics, equipment, and systems of command.

Scotland: Climate Crisis Activists Protest at Grand Central Hotel Investment Roadshow
Climate change protestors have disrupted a meeting of one of the world’s largest asset management groups in Glasgow.
Activists from Extinction Rebellion sounded fire alarms, interrupted speakers and held a demonstration outside the Vanguard’s Sustainable Life roadshow at the Grand Central Glasgow Hotel this morning.

A neighborhood in France was rocked by gunshots during an apparent kidnapping caught on camera this week, according to reports.

UK: Telegram Hopes for “Regulatory Action” Over iPhone Browser Restrictions
UK’s antitrust watchdog, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), is investigating a requirement on Apple’s App Store for web browsers. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said he hopes that “regulatory action will follow” the investigation.
The requirement forces developers to use Apple’s own WebKit to develop browsers for iPads and iPhones. The CMA said it had “concerns” about Apple not allowing browsers that do not use WebKit on iPhone as it harms competition.

Russia-Ukraine War: What Happened Today (June 14)
As Tuesday draws to a close in Kyiv and in Moscow, here are the key developments of the day:
Russian forces control as much as 80% of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine, said the governor of the Luhansk region, which includes the city. Ukraine struggled to evacuate civilians after Russia destroyed the last bridge to the besieged city. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said the fate of the whole eastern region is being decided in Sievierodonetsk, which Russians have pounded with heavy artillery for weeks. Russia said Ukrainian troops holed up in the city’s Azot chemical plant must lay down their weapons and surrender by Wednesday morning. Ukraine says hundreds of civilians are sheltering inside the plant.
Russia has barred dozens of British journalists, security officials and analysts from entry. The country’s foreign ministry accused them of spreading false information about Russia and also said it was acting in response to U.K. sanctions. The blacklist includes 29 people from British media organizations including the BBC, Sky News and the Guardian, plus 20 others linked to the defense industry.
A Russian court extended the pretrial detention of WNBA basketball star Brittney Griner by another 18 days, according to Russian state news agency Tass. Russian authorities have held the U.S. athlete on drug charges since February, when vape cartridges with cannabis oil were allegedly found in her luggage at a Moscow airport. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. The State Department views Griner as wrongfully detained, and on Monday, briefed her U.S. basketball team on efforts to gain her freedom.
The U.S. Tennis Association has decided to allow Russian players to compete — under a neutral flag — in this year’s U.S. Open, which takes place in New York in August. U.S. Tennis Association CEO and Executive Director Lew Sherr told The Associated Press that the decision resulted from “concern about holding the individual athletes accountable for the actions and decisions of their governments.” He said his group condemns “what is an unprovoked and unjust invasion of Ukraine by Russia.” Wimbledon, which gets underway later this month, has banned Russian tennis players.

Cuba Sentences Almost 300 to Prison Following Last Year’s Protest
HAVANA — Cuba said on Monday it has sanctioned 381 people, including 16 young people between the ages of 16 and 18, who participated in last summer’s protests, the Communist-run island’s largest since Fidel Castro’s 1959 revolution.
Widespread protests across July 11 and 12, 2021, saw thousands of Cubans took to the streets in towns and cities across the country. Many shouted “freedom” as they marched against food, medicine and power shortages amid a spike in coronavirus cases on the island.
Of the 381 people sanctioned, a total of 297 have been sentenced to between 5 and 25 years in prison for crimes of sedition, sabotage, robbery with force, and public disorder, according to the attorney general’s office in a statement released to state media.

‘Beat the Ukrainians’ — Two Ukrainian Refugee Children Assaulted by Arab Gang in Sweden
An Arab gang was responsible for recently abusing two Ukrainian refugee children in Sweden, according to the victims’ mother and police reports.
The attack occurred in the town of Ronneby in the southern Blekinge County of Sweden. The Ukrainian boys were playing football when they were accosted by the gang. Among other things, the gang member shouted at them to go home to Ukraine, reported the Swedish news outlet Nyheter Idag.
The gang reportedly consisted of 12 members who came to the scene and started arguing.

UK: Rwanda Asylum Flight Cancelled After Legal Action

Polish Priest Urges Resistance Against Defacement of National and Catholic Symbols
The portrayal of the Madonna from Czestochowa, which is a painting of the Virgin Mary, in rainbow colors at an exhibition in Brussels is a form of defacing national symbols and should be condemned, Father Bortkiwewicz, also a professor, told Poland’s Do Rzeczy news outlet.
Commenting on the controversial move, Bortkiwewicz asked how people would react if someone incorporated the swastika into the star of David. One of the most frequently asked questions about the global financial system is: Who is No. 1? Who is spinning the strings in the background, who on this planet wields the most power? Is it the Rothschilds, is it the Federal Reserve, or is it perhaps Larry Fink, the founder and head of BlackRock?
The answer is: it’s none of them. And the frightening truth behind it is this: the most powerful player in the financial system is not one or more people, but a machine, or more precisely, a data analysis system controlled by artificial intelligence.
Its name is Aladdin. Aladdin stands for Asset, Liability and Debt and Derivative Investment Network.
Aladdin’s origins date back to 1988, when Wall Street banker Larry Fink founded the asset management company BlackRock and came up with the idea of having investment valuation software developed.
The concept quickly proved to be extremely lucrative. BlackRock grew at a breathtaking speed based on the analysis of the collected data. It soon became apparent that the analyses and models, originally created only for the company’s own purposes, could also be of interest to clients. For this reason, Aladdin was also offered to non-business users from 2000 onwards.
Within a short time, hundreds of financial institutions around the world got on board, including heavyweights such as Deutsche Bank, the major Swiss banks UBS and Credit Suisse, and the largest U.S. pension fund CalPERS. To this day, they all have Aladdin’s information tailored to their individual needs and pay seven-figure fees for it.
In return, they receive extremely valuable investment advice and risk assessments. Stress tests, for example, can simulate sudden changes in government, earthquakes, global pandemics, outbreaks of war, or bank collapses, and predict the impact on the respective portfolios.
Aladdin experienced a huge boost during the world financial crisis of 2007/08. As the global financial system fell into ever greater turmoil, governments and central banks had to intervene to save it from collapse. To do so, however, they needed information, and the crucial one wasn’t theirs, but Aladdin’s.
Aladdin’s knowledge and skills led many central banks, with the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank ECB and the Bank of England at the helm, to appoint BlackRock as their key advisor. This means nothing other than that their decisions to this day largely depend on Aladdin’s data and analysis.
The next push came with the euro crisis. Data provided by Aladdin was used to organize, among other things, the merger of 18 Greek banks into four major banks and the unwinding of the Greek central bank’s bad loans.
In 2017, the volume of assets passing through Aladdin exceeded the gross domestic product of the United States for the first time, at $20 trillion. That drew increasing criticism from critics, who called for a legal limit on Aladdin’s power. BlackRock’s management responded by deciding not to disclose any more figures in the future. The criticism largely died down and the triumphant success of the unique software continued.
In April 2020, Aladdin was uploaded to the cloud of IT giant Microsoft and has been optimized by its specialists ever since. In addition, since the beginning of 2021, the system has been adapted to the political trends of our time through collaboration with Clarity AI, an artificial intelligence-based analysis service provider in the field of sustainability risks.
In the meantime, it is not only known in insider circles that central banks worldwide, regulatory authorities, major investors, funds and financial institutions cannot do without Aladdin at all. With the help of business games, the simulation of future developments and the risk analyses derived from them, the network provides all the decisive players in the global financial casino with decision-making aids that no human being could ever give them again due to the complexity of the financial system.
Anyone who is aware of the significance of the global financial sector, which has gone completely off the rails due to deregulation, knows that the world is no longer on its way to a system dominated by artificial intelligence.
