Media Attacks DeSantis for Defending the Medical Freedom of Special Olympians
The mainstream media has aggressively attacked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for defending the medical freedom of Special Olympians.
Earlier in June, the Special Olympics lifted their ban on participants who were unvaccinated against COVID-19 after facing the prospect of $27.5 million in fines. Last year DeSantis signed into law a prohibition on company-mandated proof of vaccination.
Initially, the Special Olympics were requiring proof of vaccination but when informed that Florida was going to enforce the hefty fines, they relented.
Afterwards, the media began a barrage of attacks on DeSantis over his enabling more Special Olympic athletes to compete.

Missouri Gov Signs Law Protecting Doctors Who Prescribe Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin for COVID
JEFFERSON CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Doctors should no longer be penalized in Missouri for prescribing the drugs hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin for COVID-19 patients, according to legislation recently signed into law by Republican Gov. Mike Parson.
HB 2149 prohibits state medical licensing boards from rescinding the medical licenses of, or otherwise punishing, doctors who “lawfully” prescribe the drugs, as well as prevents pharmacists from contacting doctors or patients to dispute their effectiveness for COVID.
Parson announced the signing on June 7, along with six other unrelated bills.

New Study Concludes Lockdowns Caused at Least 170,000+ Excess Deaths in U.S.
Yet another study has concluded that restrictive lockdowns contributed to a massive spike in excess deaths, with a 26% jump in mortality rate for working-age adults in America.
The study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) found that there were conservatively 170,000+ non-Covid excess deaths in the U.S. through 2020 and 2021.
The study notes that the real number is likely closer to 200,000 because over 70,000 so called “unmeasured Covid deaths,” that is people who may have died only with the virus and not from it, were not taken into account.

A Queens man charged with the machete stabbing death of his nephew in the home they shared described the fatal attack in grisly detail — and claimed his young relative had long “wanted to kill me,” court documents revealed.
Mahaedo Sukhnandan, 50, was arraigned Monday on murder and weapons possession charges, a day after cops found his nephew, Neraz Roberts, 29, dead inside the house in Jamaica around 5 a.m. He’d been stabbed in the back and right hand, police said.
Prosecutors said Sukhnandan confessed to the slaying.
“I chopped him up. He wanted to kill me,” Sukhnandan told cops, according to court documents. “After everything I do for them, his whole life he’s wanted to kill me.”
Roberts had called the FDNY because the basement had flooded, Queens Assistant DA Kenneth Koo said.
“I heard Neraz say he would kill me if I went outside,” Sukhnandan said, according to a criminal complaint.
Then Sukhnandan described Roberts’ death in brutal detail.
“I got my cutlass, it’s a machete with a wooden handle,” Sukhnandan said. “I kicked open the door. I chopped him three times. I paused between the second and third chop and said, ‘You want to kill me?’ I leaned back for leverage on the third chop.”…

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted the Democrats and mainstream media as protests erupt over the highly anticipated Roe v. Wade opinion.
DeSantis warned the left’s attempt to intimidate Supreme Court justices would be “considered an insurrection” just days after a man was charged with attempting to murder Justice Kavanaugh.

Ron DeSantis Can Save America’s Universities
Jason Garcia at the Seeking Rents Substack recently published a piece entitled “Ron DeSantis plotted an all-out assault on public universities.” Garcia’s piece is based on public-records requests for communications between DeSantis’s office and the Florida state legislature. In particular, Garcia’s report refers to lengthy and heretofore unpublished draft legislation, composed, he says, at the request of the governor’s office and designed to reform Florida’s public university system. The bulk of this draft legislation was not introduced during the now-completed 2022 Florida legislative session, and DeSantis’s office declined to comment when Garcia asked whether the governor has plans to introduce it in the future.
Whereas Garcia sees DeSantis’s not-yet-introduced legislation as a plot against university autonomy, I see it as a basis for the restoration of authentic liberal education to America’s over-specialized and heavily politicized public universities. With a few tweaks that I’ll suggest here, DeSantis’s plan could become what we’ve never before had: a blueprint for restoring liberal education…

SOUTHINGTON — A man was stabbed on Sunday on Interstate 84 after a random male allegedly drove erratically near him, causing the victim to pull over before he said the man attacked him.
Police on Monday said they are still investigating the incident, which is an open case pending further details.
According to police, the victim, whose name has not been released, remains hospitalized.
Police said they were dispatched around 12:23 a.m., Sunday, to Queen Street at I-84 on the report of a stabbing. Police said the victim initially gave conflicting information as to where the incident took place, saying Southington, Plainville and I-84.
According to police, the victim left a location in Southington and pulled onto I-84 eastbound, where another motorist, driving a gold colored Toyota Prius, came speeding up from behind him. The victim said the man got close to his bumper before slowing down and speeding up, flashing his high beams.
The victim said he put his hazards on and pulled over in the shoulder area of the highway after he felt a bump to his vehicle. At that point, he got out of the car while the other motorist pulled up closely behind him and parked, the complainant said.
According to the victim, the man from the Prius got out of his vehicle and approached him, stabbing his left side before getting back into his vehicle, backing up and taking off on I-84…

Fires caused by lithium ion batteries have claimed the lives of five people in Vancouver so far this year, according to officials.
The most recent death occurred Saturday after an explosion and fire that are believed to have been caused by an e-bike battery at the Empress Hotel, an SRO on the Downtown Eastside.
“(The victim) just happened to be sitting in the wrong place at the wrong time and he fell out the window due to the explosion,” Asst. Chief Walter Pereira told CTV News.

Anti-Vaccine Union to Represent German Healthcare Workers
The general obligation to get jabbed against Corona is off the table for the time being in Germany, but not the so-called facility-related obligation to vaccinate employees in the nursing and healthcare sector. If they refuse to be vaccinated, they face discrimination and even loss of their jobs. Co-founder Petra Kolberg is a registered nurse and holds a degree in business and labor law. In an interview, she criticized the established trade unions for, among other things, the fact that there has been zero support whatsoever for colleagues who are affected by the facility-related vaccination requirement. The trade union Ver.di “even promoted vaccination instead of campaigning for it to remain a voluntary decision”.
The new unvaccinated union wants to draw attention to their concerns through nationwide campaigns in the future. French Military Deployed as Mob of ‘Youths’ Riot at Lake
Military police were forced to intervene when a large group of ‘young people’ rioted and attacked visitors in a lake town in France over the weekend, according to reports.

Germany Has Plan to Help ‘Prevent Global Famine’
The German government is working to expedite the export of Ukrainian grain by rail, with plans being considered to establish a special fund to pay for the project.

Germany: CDU Begins Questioning Far Left Interior Minister’s ‘Fight Against the Right’
Germany’s far left Interior Minister, Nancy Faeser (SPD), has once again announced that she wants to take action against right-wing extremism “with renewed severity.” However, her claims that right-wing extremists are the biggest threat in the country are now facing criticism from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), marking the first major pushback on this controversial topic from one of Germany’s mainstream parties.
Faeser, who wrote for Antifa magazine shortly before taking office despite the publication receiving funds from an organization listed as a state security threat, has always described the “danger from the right” as the greatest one facing “liberal democracy.” However, the data from her own interior ministry contradicts her, which shows that most acts of violence in Germany are committed by left-wing extremists.

Tory MP Calls for New Tax on Sugar and Salt as UK ‘Storing Up Obesity’
A former Conservative Health Minister has said the Government has a “right” and a “responsibility” to introduce a salt and sugar tax, following a new food strategy by the Conservatives.
Steve Brine told the Commons he is a “wee bit disappointed” about the absence of a sugar and salt tax in the Government’s new food strategy, stating the country is “storing up obesity, type 2 diabetes and stroke” for the future.
The National Food Strategy proposed a series of recommendations to the Government in 2021, including a tax on sugar and salt.

UK: Anti Free Speech Campaigners Have Hurt GB News Revenue, CEO Suggests
UK TV station and streaming channel GB News has faced a year-long ad boycott since its launch a year ago. The boycott even began before the station officially launched. Its CEO Angelos Frangopoulos said that the boycott is a threat to free speech.
“Commercially, this is a very serious matter. This does cause damage to the GB News business model, there is no two ways about it,” he said. “And that is something that the advertising industry itself needs to acknowledge.”

UK: Oxford University Social Media Guidelines Violated Free Speech
A group of academics at Oxford University has asked the university to revise its social media harassment guidelines as they violate free speech. They noted that the policies ban lawful speech and therefore are in violation of the university’s commitment to respect the freedom of expression.
“These policies frustrate academic freedom — the lifeblood of this university — and harm academic careers,” the academics said.

Russia-Ukraine War: Ukraine Slaps Down Joe Biden Over ‘Absurd’ Invasion Claims
Ukraine has hit back at Joe Biden’s “absurd” remarks that Volodymyr Zelensky “didn’t want to hear” US intelligence about the likelihood of a Russian invasion.
Sergei Nikiforov, the spokesman for the Ukrainian President, said the US President’s claim “probably needs to be clarified” as it was Ukraine’s partners who failed to heed their concerns.
Mr Nikiforov told the Liga news agency that Mr Zelensky had had “three or four telephone conversations” with Mr Biden before the war began, during which they discussed “detailed” information about the situation.
He added that Ukraine had asked for preventative measures such as sanctions to deter Russia, but “our partners… did not want to hear us”.
Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak also criticised Mr Biden’s comments, saying that it is “pointless to blame the country, which is more than 100 days [into] a full-fledged war against a much more resourceful opponent, if key countries have failed to prevent the militaristic appetites of the Russian Federation”.

Russia-Ukraine War: What Happened Today (June 13)
As Monday draws to a close in Kyiv and in Moscow, here are the key developments of the day:
Russian troops are pushing to fully encircle the key city of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine, and Ukrainian officials say the next few days could be critical. A victory there would give Russia control of every major city of the Luhansk region, part of Ukraine’s industrial eastern area of Donbas. The regional governor said Russian troops have destroyed bridges spanning a river that the Ukrainian military relied on to bring troops, arms and supplies into Sievierodonetsk.
Early in its invasion, Russia’s assault on Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, killed hundreds of civilians with relentless, indiscriminate bombardments that constitute war crimes, Amnesty International said in a new report. The human rights group’s researchers documented repeated shelling and the use of cluster munitions — banned by many countries — in several residential neighborhoods. The organization cited the regional medical director as saying 606 civilians had been killed and 1,248 injured in the Kharkiv region between Feb. 24 and April 28.
Ukrainian cybersecurity officials are tracking an attempted hack targeting local news outlets. Malware emails went out to 500 people in Ukraine, many at radio stations, websites and newspapers, the officials said. Ukraine’s Computer Emergency Response Team warned Ukrainian media groups especially to avoid clicking messages advertising interactive maps, which could contain malware. The team said it’s moderately confident the attack can be linked to Russian hacking group Sandworm, which experts have tied to major Russian cyberattacks in Ukraine for years.
Nicaragua raised eyebrows in Washington and concern in Central America by granting permission for Russia to send military forces, planes and ships to the country. The Nicaraguan government, which is friendly with the Kremlin, regularly authorizes the arrival of Russian military personnel and equipment, ostensibly for training, law enforcement and emergency response activities. But now, given Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, “the idea that Russia can be a responsible partner in military or law enforcement training in the Western Hemisphere — or anywhere else — is ludicrous,” a U.S. State Department official said. The president of Costa Rica, which borders Nicaragua, said his army-less country is “worried, for a good reason.”

Ukraine Cannot be Excluded From Negotiations to End the War, Says Czech Foreign Minister
Ukraine must not be left out of the negotiations on ending the war, and the Czech Republic will work to ensure this, said Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský during Czech political talk show Partie Terezie Tomankové.
Lipavský said he was reacting to the efforts of some Western European politicians to negotiate an end to the fighting in Ukraine without Ukraine sitting at the negotiating table.
According to the Czech foreign minister, the Czech presidency itself will not have any impact on negotiations with the Russian Federation in the second half of the year, but the Czech Republic will raise the issue of Ukraine’s support in EU negotiations.

Pakistani Male Arrested for Raping 6-Year-Old Ukrainian Girl in Portuguese Refugee Center
Portuguese authorities have identified and arrested a 41-year-old Pakistani national strongly suspected of raping a 6-year-old Ukrainian refugee, marking yet another horrific case of Ukrainian refugees facing sexual assault and rape inside European refugee shelters.
According to Portuguese police, the attack took place at the end of last month at a reception center in Guarda, in northeast Portugal.

Putin Plans to Weaponize ‘Refugees’ To Generate “Instability” In Europe
Vladimir Putin plans to trigger a global hunger crisis that will unleash waves of ‘refugees’ who will then be weaponized to create “instability” in European countries, according to Yale professor Timothy Snyder.
In a lengthy Twitter thread, Snyder explains his position that the Russian president is “preparing to starve much of the developing world as the next stage in his war in Europe” by continuing its blockade of grain supplies from Ukraine.

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that migrants are not entitled to bond hearings even after they have been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for six months.
In a 8-1 decision, the high court reversed a lower court ruling that held the immigrant at the center of the case, Antonio Arteaga-Martinez, was entitled to a bond hearing because he had been detained for more than 6 months.
With Justice Stephen Breyer as the lone dissenter, the court ruled that bond hearings are not required to prove that a detainee ‘poses a flight risk or a danger to the community.’

A charity has begun another legal challenge to Priti Patel’s plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda — as pictures emerged showing migrants waiting at a Gatwick Airport detention centre.
Asylum Aid, which provides legal advice to asylum seekers, has asked a High Court judge to temporarily block ministers from enforcing the removal of ‘any asylum seeker’ to Rwanda.
It comes as an earlier hearing — involving the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS), and charities Care4Calais and Detention Action — heard that just 11 asylum seekers are set to be on the first plane tomorrow.

EXCLUSIVE — An educational consultant used critical race theory to train school staff in Pennsylvania, according to documents obtained by America First Legal, which show explanations about “What is Whiteness” and how CRT fits into “Equity/Anti-Racism School Transformation Action Planning.”
The documents show multiple trainings given to school staff of the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District [TESD], including ones titled “Using Critical Race Theory to Transform Leadership and District,” and “Introduction to the Theory of Transformation and Systematic Racial Equity Framework.”

The tech giant is making changes to its Chrome Web Store, specifically an end to supporting Manifest v2 (Mv2) extensions, which will make it more difficult for adblockers to operate.
Currently, Mv2 supports all extensions on the Chrome Web Store, including ad-blocker extensions such as uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, etc. Ad-blockers are extremely popular features of the Chrome Web Store with millions of currently active users due to their functionality in blocking ads and maintaining privacy. However, starting in January 2023, Google will shift from Mv2 to Mv3, making most of these popular features obsolete.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered an investigation into an allegation by a parent that a teacher took his son to a drag queen show which was attended by a convicted sex offender.
The claim was made by during a Houston Independent School District board meeting last week.
“He took him to a drag show when he was underage and it was really bad. It was a really bad experience. He also put him next to this sex offender when he was out there with my son,” the parent said at the meeting.

Three Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania mothers filed a lawsuit last week to stop a first grade teacher from instructing their kids about transgender transitioning and other gender identity topics.

The Poles say they are willing to defend their country from Russia, but they are not willing to defend it from the European left, the Brussels elite. The country’s president, Andrzej Duda, was the first to implement the digital certificate, and he also signed treaties with communist China, a country that pioneered digital tracking technology, and digital certification.
From my point of view, Poles are losing the fight for their liberties and civil rights, while fearing losing their physical freedom by a foreign enemy, which will only attack the country in a hypothetical future, and still facing various consequences for that.
