To the person who is trying to contact me

You know who you are. I saw your comment (which I didn’t post) this morning, and your emails have been coming in — two arrived late last night. But my replies are evidently not being received by you.

I’ve been exchanging emails with numerous other people, all of whom have been receiving my messages without any difficulty, as far as I can tell, so my SMTP seems to be working. I don’t know what’s going wrong with my emails to you, and have no idea how it might be fixed.

You can leave more comments if you want, but as far as I know, your email messages are all reaching me. You just can’t get my replies.

  1. Depending on the email system and who manages it, the responses could be getting quarantined. This is beyond a spam folder. So if it is a corporate email this could happen. If they don’t check that or have the opportunity to they could be missing those. Adding them to a white list would resolve it if this is the case. I have been engaged in legitimate emails with customers when all of the sudden the emails go to quarantine.

  2. I’m going to guess that the person is an att.net, SBC or cox.net customer.

Those places are the worst for spam-jail, and once an IP# is in theirs, it seems to be impossible to get it out.

(It has been a huge hassle for some of my clients… we’re down to hunting for new IP#s to send – legitimate – appointment reminders from to those people.)
