Queering the Pitch

The following dispatch from the Culture Wars in Germany leaves me at a loss for words. Read it at your own risk, and keep an antiemetic handy.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Junge Freiheit:

“Fascist”: Queer representative insults concerned mother

BERLIN. The queer commissioner of the federal government, Sven Lehmann (Greens), has associated a concerned mother, who had spoken critically about gender reassignments, with fascists. Her criticism is brimming with “queer- and transphobia, homophobia, adultism” and parental “power posturing,” according to a post published by Lehmann in an Instagram “Story” by the politician.

The woman had previously written to the queer commissioner in Emma magazine and criticized a planned law that would allow 14-year-olds to have sex reassignment surgery. “In your function as the federal government’s queer commissioner, please do not allow 14-year-olds, who are completely insecure at this stage of their lives, who are also misguided by the media, to be able to make such far-reaching decisions without their parents,” wrote the mother of an 18-year-old daughter.

Family Ministry does not want to evaluate statements

“All these letters LGBTQIA+ and maybe a few more letters next year will confuse these insecure and pubescent children,” warned the media literacy trainer in the feminist newspaper. She emphasized that she was clearly on the Left and had been a member of the SPD for many years. “All my life, diversity, tolerance and the acceptance of all kinds of being different have been close to my heart.” However, it cannot be that the “average heterosexual child” is now asking “whether everything is okay with him.”

Lehmann could not accept that. “The text could also come from evangelical Christians and bourgeois fascists,” says a text distributed by the State Secretary in the Ministry for Family Affairs. It is “simply absurd” to ask the queer officer to take care of heterosexual children.

When asked by Junge Freiheit, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs did not want to comment on the statements. The reason: Lehmann’s statements were not made via the ministry’s networks.

Afterword from the translator:

Personally I have nothing against gay people. I have friends who bat for their own team, and as long as they leave me alone and don’t force their “preference” onto me… live and let live. but what is happening in recent years all over the Western World is something absolutely demonic. Even my gay friends are utterly disgusted with what is being pushed onto children who are in an extremely vulnerable stage of development. A hanging would be too good for these people.

  1. “Communist revolutions are never ending dialectic engines of destruction. No matter how far you go in keeping up with the changing values and views of the left, once you stop, you will get steamrolled like JK Rowling did when she said “men who claim to be women, simply are not women”. 2+2=4 is how you get destroyed in a communist state.” (Vlad for VladTepesBlog)

“Remember, with the left, the point is never the point, and the revolution is ALWAYS the point. That one statement explains everything from feminism through abortion to global warming, acid rain, racism narratives, Islamic immigration, multiculturalism, and any narrative that forces us to move the culture to the left in favour of a global government and the destruction of the Nation-State.” (Vlad for VladTepesBlog)

    • with the end goal of grinding everyone and everything down so that nothing remains of what was. What Islam has done to Christianity is a good example of this, and an example that the left is following. One can only wonder if the same force is behind both movements.
