To Fight Inflation, Hungary Extends Fuel and Basic-Foods Price Caps
In order to shield Hungarian consumers from the effects of mostly energy-related price increases, the government is extending the existing price cap on fuels and six basic food groups until July 1, Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced on Wednesday.
“The government has extended the price cap for basic foodstuffs and fuels for another two months, until July 1,” Orban announced in a Facebook video on Wednesday.
The prime minister said prices were rising across Europe, and the primary reason for this was war.

16-Year-Old Girl Charged, Accused of Driving Teens to Deadly Triple-Shooting, Rock Hill Police Say
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Rock Hill Police Department said Thursday officers arrested another juvenile in a shootout Tuesday night that left three teen boys dead.
A 16-year-old girl, who was charged with murder, is accused of driving two teens, 17- and 16-years old to the scene the night of the triple homicide.
A 17-year-old was charged as an adult with two counts of murder after the incident.
Rock Hill police said they received several calls reporting gunshots after 10 p.m. Tuesday and responded to Gist Road near South Cherry Road.
Investigators said that three males were in a car parked on Gist Road, when two other males, 17 and 16 years old, walked up to the car and started shooting into it.
A 16-year-old, who was in the driver’s seat, was fatally shot, police said.
Ahmik Coleman, 17, of Rock Hill, was in the front passenger seat and returned fire, striking the two shooters on the road. Someone in the backseat ran from the car.
Coleman then got out of the car and started to run, but immediately returned fire again, killing the 17- and 16-year-old teens laying in the roadway, police said.
OMarian Small, 16, of Lake Wylie, was found dead in a vehicle at the scene, the York County Coroner’s Office said. Kam’ran Brevard, 16, of Rock Hill, also died at the scene.
Evanta Hart, 17, of Rock Hill, was taken to EMS to Piedmont Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
Coleman was shot in the hand and taken to the hospital, officers said.
The 16-year-old girl was charged as a juvenile with murder. She was taken into custody Thursday night. Her name and photo were not released, because she was charged as a juvenile.

He was brought to the Law Center and taken into custody Wednesday night. Coleman then faced a judge Thursday, where police explained why they charged him with murder.

Breaking: MTG Announces Bill to Reform Section 230, Proposes Roundtable With Elon Musk
On Thursday, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced legislation that would repeal section 230 of Title 47 of the United States Code.
The bill, called the “21st Century Foundation for the Right to Express and Engage in Speech Act” or the “21st Century FREE Speech Act,” would abolish Section 230 altogether.

Kenosha Meeting Discussing Memorial for Man Shot by Rittenhouse Gets Heated: ‘Like a Lunatic’
The five-person Kenosha Parks Commission in Kenosha, Wisconsin, tabled a proposal Monday that would have placed a memorial tree and plaque in a city park to honor one of the men Kyle Rittenhouse killed.
Several Kenosha residents showed up at the heated meeting to voice their opposition to the memorial for Anthony Huber, who is seen on video chasing Rittenhouse and swinging a skateboard at him before Rittenhouse shot him in the chest on Aug. 25, 2020.

Michigan Man, 81, Shot by Pedestrian He Almost Hit With Vehicle
DETROIT — The Detroit Police Department is searching for two persons of interest after an 81-year-old man was shot while trying to apologize to pedestrians he nearly hit with his vehicle on Wednesday morning, in Detroit, FOX 2 Detroit reports.
The man was turning onto Asbury Park from Keeler Street around 6 a.m. when he nearly hit two pedestrians, police said. He rolled down his window to apologize and one of the people shot him. He was struck in the hip and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Teen Drug Overdose Deaths Rose Sharply in 2020, Driven by Fentanyl-Laced Pills
For the first time in a decade, overdose deaths among teens in the United States rose dramatically in 2020 and kept rising through 2021 as well. That’s according to the results of a new study published Tuesday in JAMA.
“This is very alarming because what we’ve seen in other parts of the population is that when overdose death rates start to rise, they tend to continue to do so for quite some time,” says Joe Friedman, a public health researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the lead author of the new study.
“We’re still really in the early days in terms of teen overdose. And that makes this an especially important time to intervene,” he adds.
Friedman and his colleagues found that fatal overdoses among adolescents nearly doubled from 492 in 2019 to 954 in 2020, an increase of 94%. There was an additional 20% rise in 2021 compared to the previous year. The highest rates were among Native American and Alaskan Native teens, followed by Latino teens.

The parents of a teen who committed suicide say that relentless bullying at school over false allegations about his vaccination status led him to kill himself.
In January, 15-year-old Nate Bronstein took his own life after months of bullying both online and at the prestigious Chicago private school he attended.
His parents have since filed a lawsuit against the school, alleging that administrators could have done more to prevent the tragedy.

This is What Critical Race Theory Looks Like in the Classroom
At this point, there is plenty of evidence that critical race theory, or closely associated tenets, is being taught in public schools across the country. Most parents instinctually know that this ideology — which holds that America’s institutions, and the people who allegedly benefited from them (i.e. white people), are irredeemably and systemically racist — is toxic and untrue. But a closer look at how CRT is applied in the classroom proves parents should not just be concerned about CRT — they should fear it.
In Santa Barbara, California, parents alleged that public schools forced their children to take “ethnic studies” courses as a condition of graduating and refused to let parents see the curriculum. In these courses, students were taught that all white people are racist, leading one student to contemplate suicide because he felt guilty for not being able to speak Spanish, according to investigative reporter Luke Rosiak.

Vaccine Policy Double Standard for Canadian Chrysler Employees
Surely one of the most despicable examples of COVID-19-inspired coercion is what happened to hundreds and hundreds of Canadians these past several months: namely, employers demanding that they get the Coronavirus jab — or their jobs are toast. ‘A Return to the Middle Ages’ — If Russia Cuts Gas Deliveries, Czechia Could be in Serious Trouble
There are different assessments about the impact of a Russian gas cut to Czechia, but with the country receiving nearly all of its gas from Russia, the results could be dire.

EU Chief Slams Russia’s Gas ‘Blackmail, ‘ Insists Bloc is Ready to Respond
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has claimed that Russia’s attempted blackmail through its suspension of gas supplies to certain European nations will not succeed, and assured European consumers that the bloc had prepared itself for such a measure.
The head of the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, praised the decision by Gazprom on Wednesday to cease gas supplies to Poland and Bulgaria due to the countries’ refusal to pay for the provisions in rubles.
However, the European Commission chief hit back, insisting the move had come “as no surprise” to the bloc and insisted the two affected countries were now receiving gas supplies from their European neighbors.

Germany Top Buyer of Russian Energy Since Ukraine Invasion Began
Figures compiled by an independent research group show that Germany has been the biggest single-country buyer of Russian energy in the first two months since the war in Ukraine began.
The study published by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) calculates that Russia has earned €63 billion ($66.5 billion) from fossil fuel exports since February 24.
The researchers worked out that Germany alone paid Russia about €9.1 billion ($9.65 billion) for fossil fuel deliveries in the two months following the start of Moscow’s invasion.

Since the 1970s, the number of road deaths in Germany and Austria has dropped by almost 90 percent. But now there are apparently signs of a trend reversal — and a nasty suspicion is doing the rounds.
Already since the second half of 2021, serious car collisions on open stretches of road and accidents involving several vehicles have been increasing. On German roads, up to nine such traffic accidents have been recorded in one day. Cyclists also fall every day without external impact and are usually no longer responsive when first responders arrive. Witnesses and those involved, but also government experts, are at a loss to explain these events.
After the person involved in the accident has been admitted to hospital, a hitherto very rare explanation then emerges, which, as is well known, has also been accumulating on sports fields for a good year: the patient suffered a “medical emergency”. Mostly heart attacks are diagnosed, more rarely strokes and pulmonary embolisms. The number of unreported cases is still unclear.

Hungarian FM Expresses Concern Over Treatment of Slovakian Opposition
Szijjarto said that, according to press reports, efforts are being made to put the opposition leader behind bars, which “warrants closer attention than usual”.
Slovakia’s national criminal agency NAKA has launched a procedure against Robert Fico, the former prime minister and current leader of the opposition Social Democrats (Smer-SD), and his former interior minister Robert Kalinak on suspicion of setting up and supporting a criminal group and abuse of office.
Fico said at a press conference on Saturday that the charges were baseless and politically motivated. According to the politician, Slovakia is not a state governed by the rule of law but an “American province”. …as Just Stop Oil activists are arrested after breaching injunction by demonstrating outside of oil terminal
Insulate Britain protesters today glued themselves to court furniture as they appeared before magistrates charged over chaos on the M25.
Activists had to be tackled by security staff at a court in Stratford before police arrived and cleared people out of the room as a hearing descended into farce.
Diana Warner, 63, appeared charged with causing a public nuisance at the Poyle Interchange at junction 14 of the M25 near Heathrow Airport on September 27.
However, before the hearing could begin she glued her hand to the window of the dock. ‘I have glued my hand,’ she told the court.
Liam Norton, 36, who had entered the court to support her, then walked up to the witness box while filming with his phone.
He was rushed and tackled by court staff as he approached the box. Warner then pulled her mobile phone out in the dock and began to film herself.
Ana Heyatawin, 58, also pulled her phone out and began to film the proceedings. She then glued her hand to a bench inside the court. Police officers then arrived, clearing the press from the court.

Internet Outage in French Cities After Apparent Coordinated Sabotage Campaign, Fibre Optic Lines Cut
Police have launched an investigation into coordinated physical attacks on infrastructure leaving several French cities with internet outages and slowdowns on Wednesday.
French internet service provider (ISP) Netalis released a statement on the incident saying the fibre optic links between Paris and Lyon and Paris and Strasbourg had suffered losses and slowdown, and noted that fibre optic lines had been found to be cut. While no group has been publicly identified as a perpetrator for the alleged sabotage at this stage, the attack is the latest in a line of recent such cases, many of which have been connected to hard-left anarchist groups.

Italy: Cook Gets Life for Decapitating Dishwasher
Two Bangladeshis fought in Turin last June
(ANSA) — ROME, APR 28 — A 25-year-old Bangladeshi cook was sentenced to life imprisonment Thursday for decapitating a 25-year-old Bangladeshi pizzeria dishwasher in the victim’s home in Turin on June 9, 2021.
Mohamed Mostafa was found guilty of murdering Mohamed Ibrahim.
His lawyer said she would appeal saying that her client had reacted after being attacked by the victim.
Prosecutors said the pair quarreled over a debt or perhaps also a “fake marriage engagement”.
Mostafa was sending money to a young female relative in Bangladesh on the mistaken premise that the other man would marry her, they said.
After strangling Ibrahim, Mostafa beheaded him to stop his spirit pursuing him, the court heard.

Father Mattia Ferrari says he has filed a criminal complaint
MODENA — Father Mattia Ferrari, a young priest at the diocese of Modena and Nonantola, has filed a criminal complaint in Modena to report threats he has received on a social media account allegedly run by Libyan traffickers and mafia members, local newspaper Gazzetta di Modena reports.
Ferrari served as chaplain on the ‘Mare Jonio’ migrant-rescue ship.
Father Ferrari explained that he went to prosecutors on Liberation Day, Monday, April 25: “Prosecutors in Modena are investigating. Periodically, this account, a mouthpiece of the Libyan mafia, threatens those helping migrants. On March 31, they threatened me heavily. The real problem is that this account is not only a mouthpiece of the Libyan mafia, but it is also connected to deviant secret services from several countries: occasionally, it published photos of military aircraft of Frontex, reserved documents and high-level secrets of Italian State and military agencies”, said Father Ferrari.
Democratic Left (PD) lawmaker Giuditta Pini also commented the case: “How could they have all this material? There is a mole. We ask this to the government”, she said.

Poland: The 2nd Anders’s Army Corps on Display in Giulianova

(ANSA) — GIULIANOVA, 27 APR — An exhibition dedicated to the Polish 2nd Army Corps opened in the ‘Riccardo Cerulli’ loggia of Giulianova (Teramo) to commemorate the role of the Polish army in the Liberation of Italy. Mayor Jwan Costantini and the Polish Ambassador to Italy, Anna Maria Anders, General Wladyslaw Anders’s daughter, cut the ribbon. The Polish Honorary Consul in Ancona, Cristina Gorajski, attended the ceremony. On display until next May 1, besides the 14 panels depicting the deeds of the Poles, are also some unpublished documents from the Soviet Politburo.
The 2nd Polish Army Corps was founded in 1941 in the Soviet Union, made up of soldiers taken prisoner by Stalin and deported to Siberia after the aggression against Poland in 1939. Under the command of General Wladyslaw Anders and incorporated in the 8th British Army, the Polish 2nd Army Corps, the army was transferred to Italy at the end of 1943 to support the Allies along the Gustav Line.
The Polish soldiers were guided by the motto “For our and your freedom,” in memory of the Italian-Polish collaboration of arms during the Risorgimento. After the conquest of Montecassino in May 1944, the Allies deployed the Poles on the Adriatic front, where they liberated numerous towns and cities in the Marche and Emilia-Romagna regions, including Ancona, Loreto, Pesaro, and Bologna.
The inauguration, organized by the historical researcher Walter De Berardinis in collaboration with the Biblioteca Civica ‘Bindi’, was attended, among others, by the director of the State Archives of Teramo, Ottavio Di Stanislao, the president of the Association of Families of Polish Fighters in Italy, Maurizio Nowak, the director of the Library and Civic Museums, Sirio Maria Pomante, and the children of Polish soldiers.

Johannes Hahn, the Commissioner for Budget and Administration, is sending a notification letter to Hungary on Wednesday, activating the mechanism linking European Union funding to the rule of law, EC Vice-President Margaritis Schinas said. Ukraine: Milan Prosecutors Probe Case of Italian Fighter
Former minor league player quit soccer to join war effort
(ANSA) — ROME, APR 26 — Milan anti-terrorism prosecutors have opened a probe in to the case of Ivan Luca Vavassori, a former minor-league professional footballer who quit soccer to join the international brigade and fight with the Ukraine army after the Russian invasion, sources said Tuesday.
It had been feared that the 29-year-old had been killed in a Russian attack on Mariupol but his father said on Monday that he is still alive.
No one has been formally placed under investigation with respect to the probe at the moment, the sources said.
The probe will look into whether there is an illegal network to recruit volunteers or mercenaries to fight in Ukraine, the sources said.

Watch: Antifa Beats Woman in German Clothing Store, Coordinates Attacks in Multiple Cities
Disturbing footage has gone viral of left-wing extremists attacking staff and vandalizing stores stocking the fashion brand Thor Steinar, often accused of being a popular brand of the far-right, in what appears to be a series of coordinated attacks in cities across Germany.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki used the decision by Gazprom to stop supplying gas to the country over its refusal to pay for Russian energy imports in rubles to demonstrate Poland’s independence from Russian gas.

Sweden: Suspected Afghan Migrant Arrested for Raping Woman, Throwing Her Down Mine Shaft
Swedish police have arrested a man believed to be an Afghan migrant for allegedly raping a woman and pushing her down a mine shaft after she refused to marry him, according to reports.

No migrants have arrived in small boats across the English Channel for nearly ten days in what is being claimed as an early victory for the Government’s new scheme for sending asylum seekers to Rwanda.

The Kansas Senate on Monday voted to override Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto on The Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, a bill that would ban biological male athletes from competing in women’s school sports across the state.
Also known as SB 160, the legislation “requires interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams or sports that are sponsored by public educational institutions” to ban male students from joining teams or sports “designated for females.”

‘Transphobe Finder’ List Targets Women to be Reported, Removed From Twitter
It turns out that women who believe in biological reality have been intentionally targeted via a “Report a transphobe” list that was organized and maintained for the purpose of identifying and harassing people.
People who are on the “Transphobe” list include journalist and author Julie Bindel, Linda Blade, a Canadian coach and advocate for women’s sports, biologist and writer Colin Wright, podcaster Sydney Watson, Chris Elston, or Billboard Chris, who travels the US and Canada to engage in discussion about gender transition of children, along with thousands of others.

– It’s not something that we rule out and we note that the threshold that has normally existed from Russia, and has generally been quite low throughout history, for using military force is if possible even lower now. I think we should be clear and honest about that state. We are not ruling out military force or armed violence,” says Michael Claesson, the head of the Swedish Defence Forces, to DN.
According to him, the threats that the Russian leadership makes publicly should be taken as a starting point and taken very seriously. Russia is talking about “military technical measures”, which in Ukraine’s case meant invasion of the country, but could also mean launching certain weapons systems in the vicinity of Sweden.
– Everything the Russians say should be taken seriously. But the important thing is to understand, translate and analyse the information correctly. It is a threat and is intended to make us feel threatened, says Michael Claesson to DN.
The government, the US and the Swedish media have tried to make it sound like the UK and the US are ready to provide security guarantees for Sweden until an application for NATO membership has been granted. In reality, however, there are no such guarantees, but what the US is talking about is, according to Aftonbladet, “security enhancing measures” in the form of exercises on Swedish soil.
Before the invasion, Ukraine had similar cooperation with the US.
