After Churches Forced to Shutter in Pandemic, South Carolina Enacts Bill Deeming Them ‘Essential’

South Carolina GOP Gov. Henry McMaster has signed a bill into law that will protect churches from discrimination during emergencies.

The law will allow churches and other houses of worship and religious organization to remain open during a state of emergency, such as a pandemic. It deems religious services “an essential service” that “must be allowed to continue operations.”

As businesses such as barber shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues were shut down in the spring of 2020 due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, McMaster said that closing churches would be a violation of the freedom of religion provision of the U.S. Constitution.

Alec Baldwin: Rust Film Set Shooting Aftermath Footage Released

Police have released footage from the set of the film Rust, including of the aftermath of the fatal shooting of a cinematographer by actor Alec Baldwin.

Santa Fe Sheriff Adan Mendoza also released crime scene photos and witness interviews, including Mr Baldwin’s.

But police said a decision on whether to file criminal charges will depend on the outcome of future forensic work.

Halyna Hutchins, 42, was shot by Mr Baldwin while he rehearsed with what he believed to be a safe gun.

The actor, who was also a producer on the film, previously said he did not pull the trigger and had no idea how a live bullet came to be on the set near Santa Fe in the US state of New Mexico.

In videos released on Monday, police and medics can be seen racing to the scene, and bodycam footage shows first responders battling to save Hutchins.

In other clips, Mr Baldwin is seen dressed as a cowboy and practising with what appears to be the gun that killed the cinematographer.

In a statement accompanying the release of the footage, Sheriff Mendoza said the investigation into the shooting “remains open and ongoing”…

Biden Blocks Oil Drilling on Millions of Acres of Land as Gas Hits $4.13 Per Gallon

The Biden administration reversed a Trump-era policy Monday that massively expanded the area available for fossil fuel leasing even as gasoline prices remained near an all-time high.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) issued a record of decision, reducing the land available for energy leasing in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (NPR-A) to its level set in 2013. In June 2020, former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt finalized a decision allowing 18.6 million acres, or 82%, of the NPR-A’s subsurface estate to be open for oil and gas leasing.

The average price of gasoline nationwide increased to $4.13 per gallon on Tuesday, remaining near its all-time high, according to AAA data. Pump prices have surged throughout President Joe Biden’s first 15 months in office.

Investigation Continues Into Fatal Kennewick Stabbing of 70-Year-Old

No specifics about what occurred, but Benton County Sheriff’s Department officials called it an “interaction.” Image shows neighborhood where the incident occurred.

Friday, April 22nd, around 5 PM Deputies were called to a home in the 1100 block of South Gum Street, just west of Eastgate Elementary and the Benton County Fairgrounds for a report about an assault in progress.

Officers, including the K-9 unit, set up search and containment, but no suspects were found.

The victim, identified as 70-year-old Zale Underwood was found dead, although an autopsy is being performed, it appears he was stabbed to death.

Deputies and investigators believe the “interaction” he had with the suspect(s) resulted in his death.

The BCSO says there will be continued law enforcement presence in the area as the investigation continues, which will likely include searching for any video evidence of what happened at Underwood’s home. This would mean making security video requests from people in the area who have cameras.

Germany Sending ‘Gepard’ Air-Defense Tanks to Support Ukraine Defense

RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — The German government will send Ukraine around 50 Gepard air-defense tanks to help that country repel Russian attacks, German and U.S. officials said at a conference here.

The vehicles, made by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, are no longer in the inventory of the German armed forces, but the manufacturer has kept a number in its own stocks. The ease of use of the two-cannon flak setup, mounted on a Leopard tank chassis, has made the Gepard a favorite among military experts, especially as the Bundeswehr looks for no-frills defenses against drones.

Poland’s Liberal-Left Rejoices Over Jansa’s Defeat in Slovenia

Janez Jansa and his Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) lost power in the parliamentary elections on Sunday to the liberal green Freedom Movement led by Robert Golob. It represents a victory for the liberal establishment in Europe against the conservative Jansa.

Predictably enough, we have seen only joy from leftist and liberal politicians along with their supportive media networks, with talk of a defeat for nationalism and populism, and a victory for democratic values. Jansa’s defeat is being compared with the election loss of Marine Le Pen, even though Jansa’s party is part of the ruling European People’s Party (EPP).

War in Ukraine Sends Coal Prices Soaring Even Higher as Nations Turn to ‘Dirty’ Energy

The world’s dependence on coal was already growing even before the war in Ukraine, with consumption and production exploding higher following the lifting of most Covid-19 restrictions. However, the war in Europe has exacerbated a global energy crisis, causing a domino effect. Electricity producers now lack this vital raw material and prices are climbing to new records.

Germany and Italy have even resorted to considering proposals to recommission old coal-fired power plants, once considered nearly impossible to consider given the Green Party’s prominent role in Germany’s left-wing government. At the same time, more and more coal-laden ships are setting out from South Africa to serve nations across the globe, according to Czech news outlet Idnes.cz. In the U.S., coal-based energy is experiencing its biggest recovery in ten years, and China is reopening once-closed mines and planning new ones.

Watch: Farage Says Le Pen ‘Far From Finished’, Globalist Status Quo ‘Is Going to Break’

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has given his take on Emmanuel Macron’s victory over Marine Le Pen in the French presidential elections, predicting that the populist challenger is not done yet and the status quo is on borrowed time.

Acknowledging the fact that “Macron is the top dog” in the European Union now, not just because four-term German chancellor Angela Merkel has been replaced by the relatively unheralded Olaf Scholz but also because Germany’s long record of cosying up to Russia has left its reputation in the gutter in the wake of the Ukraine crisis, Farage nevertheless contended that he has not had the “huge victory” the BBC and others have portrayed.

Blasts Hit Ministry in Separatist Transnistria, Near Ukraine

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Police in the Moldovan separatist region of Transnistria, where Russia has stationed troops, say several explosions hit the Ministry of State Security building Monday that are believed to be from rocket-propelled grenades.

No injuries were immediately reported in the alleged attack, which took place on the Orthodox Easter Monday holiday in the city of Tiraspol when the building would presumably be more empty than usual. The separatists’ Interior Ministry said on Facebook that some of the building’s windows were broken and that smoke was coming from the structure.

Transnistria, a strip of land with about 470,000 people between Moldova and Ukraine, has been under the control of separatist authorities since a 1992 war with Moldova. Russia bases about 1,500 troops there, calling them peacekeepers, but concerns are high that those forces could be used to invade Ukraine from the west.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the incident…

Are Ukrainian Refugees Driving Tuberculosis Rates Higher in Czechia?

Czechia is dealing with an increase in tuberculosis cases in recent days, and while a cause remains unknown, Ukraine’s refugee population could be responsible.

The National Institute of Public Health (SZÚ) has recorded more positive samples for tuberculosis-causing bacteria. An influx of migration from Ukraine, where the disease is more common, may have contributed to the rise. According to the Lancet medical journal, “Ukraine has the fourth-highest tuberculosis incidence in the WHO European Region and the fifth-highest number of confirmed cases of extensively drug-resistant TB in the world.”

While other theories are also being floated, such as a decrease in testing last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the prevalence of tuberculosis in Ukraine nevertheless represents a public health threat for many of the Central and Eastern European nations taking in hundreds of thousands of refugees.

  3. “Meanwhile, the EU and the UK warned Mr. Musk that Twitter must abide by their censorship rules or face substantial fines. ”

In other words: promote islam and islamisation. Praise islam. Facilitate their colonization of the west. Don’t complain no matter what they do or how many murder. Don’t quit the course of suicide. Be blind to to muslim atrocities in Europe and Israel. Nay, find excuses for them.

EU and UK tell us to be subservient to islam, our master. They replaced Robinson Crusoe’s “Friday” Yes, sir, No, Sir.

Yes, sir your religion is peaceful. Leave Christianity’s fairytales. What? are you so crazy as to believe in myths and not embrace the only alla’s truth religion?

So Musk be careful : you must love islam with all your heart, hate Russia with all your might no matter how much we harass and be hostile to it and provoke it, Or EU will impoverish you.

Always describe our oppression of our people and promotion of islam as democracy.

Truth is your enemy: If you publish the documents released by Pfizer about the adverse effects of poisons renamed vaccine, though truthful and leaked by Pfizer itself, you will be fined billions. We have no morals, no scruples no honor.

You must always describe Our muzzling of our people as freedom of speech.

    • I joined Twitter Monday and am enjoying reading all the complaints by liberals, actors and Democrats. They are really pissed off that Elon have created a free speech site. They are howlingly angry that they are losing followers while conservatives in every field are gaining thousands of supporters.

It’s the most entertaining thing I have experienced since the hogs ate my baby brother./sarc
