German Taxpayers to Receive $330 Lump Sum Amid Exploding Energy Costs

As California looks to ‘ease’ crippling gas prices by handing out $400 debit cards, Germany (and we suspect many other countries) will soon be offering workers a one-time €300 (US$329) payment to ‘offset’ the effects of inflation.

As for the economic effects of such ‘offsets,’ Rabobank notes:

The EU was already looking at spending lots on energy subsidies… unless the surge in energy prices is short-lived — which hinges on the war and the metacrisis suddenly resolving themselves(!) — then this is how you return to something like a 70’s-style wage-price spiral.

3 Men Plead Guilty to Setting Fire to Police Car During Las Vegas Racial Justice Protests

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — Three men pleaded guilty to setting fire to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police vehicle during racial justice protests in summer 2020.

Tyree Walker, 23; Devarian Haynes, 23; and Ricardo Densmore, 24; all pleaded guilty to one count of civil disorder, the U.S. District court said.

According to police and court documents, the three men were participating in protests regarding the death of George Floyd on May 31, 2020 in downtown Las Vegas. Walker, Haynes, and Densmore each admitted to setting fire to a marked LVMPD patrol vehicle parked near the intersection of S. Ninth Street and E. Carson Avenue. The three also admitted that their actions could have caused serious damage to others, as they knew there was ammunition in the LVMPD vehicle that could have exploded, prosecutors said.

Each man faces a statutory maximum penalty of five years in prison, a term of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. A sentencing hearing was scheduled for June 22.

Aspirin Linked to Lower Risk for Death in Patients Hospitalized With COVID-19

Something as simple as aspirin may help lower the risk of death in hospital patients who are fighting a tough case of COVID-19, a new study found.

George Washington University researchers analyzed data on more than 112,000 patients hospitalized with moderate COVID-19 at 64 health systems in the United States from Jan. 1, 2020, through Sept. 10, 2021.

Compared to patients who weren’t given aspirin, those who received aspirin within the first day of hospitalization had a 1.6% lower risk of death, and also had a lower risk of blood clots.

Elderly patients and those with other health conditions appeared to especially benefit from early aspirin therapy, according to the study, published Thursday in the journal JAMA Network Open.

Campus Police Step in After Antifa Threatens Leadership Institute Training Event

Left-wing Twitter activists attempted to derail the Leadership Institute’s Youth Leadership Workshop for conservative students at Harper College earlier this month. These threats required college police officers to ensure workshop participants’ safety during and after the event.

The Leadership Institute, which is the parent organization of Campus Reform, ran the workshop to train students in effective political activism and organization at the Palatine, Illinois, college on Mar. 11.

Four days before the workshop, the Antifa-affiliated Twitter account Antifascist Rumor Mill encouraged students to sabotage the event by filling seats, a move intended to prevent conservative students from participating.

Family Files $10 Million Wrongful Death Claim Against Seattle After Man Mistakenly Placed on Blacklist

Judge Temporarily Puts Some Limits on Virginia’s Mask Mandate Ban

Ten Virginia school districts will be allowed to impose limited mask mandates to accommodate students who have disabilities pending the outcome of a lawsuit against Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s prohibition on public school mask mandates.

A federal judge approved an injunction against the governor’s mask mandate prohibition for 12 students with disabilities who reside in 10 different school districts. The judge ruled the students represented in the lawsuit could ask their schools to impose mask mandates in areas of the school they frequent and schools will be allowed to enforce them without penalties from the state.

The injunction only halts the enforcement of the law temporarily, until the court rules on the merits of the case. This ruling did not overturn Youngkin’s prohibition on mask mandates and does not allow every school district to impose some form of mandate. The ruling only allows the districts in which the students reside to impose a mandate, and they can only do so in limited circumstances. The mandate must be for the purpose of accommodating the students with disabilities represented in the lawsuit, but would not allow a universal mask mandate. Any mandate could only apply to areas that the students in the lawsuit frequent.

Video Shows St. Lucie County Deputy Stabbed in Neck, Authorities Say

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office released dramatic body camera video Friday showing a deputy being stabbed in the neck by a distraught woman authorities said he was trying to help.

Deputies responded to a rollover crash in the 12500 block of South Indian River Drive around 11 p.m. Wednesday and found a vehicle unoccupied.

The sheriff’s office said Deputy Cody Colangelo, 22, located the driver, Leigha Michelle Day, 21, down an embankment near the crash scene.

Colangelo’s body camera video released Friday shows the deputy walking down a flight of steps toward Day, who’s pacing along a shoreline.

“What’s going on?” Colangelo asks.

“I don’t know,” Day responds, choking back tears.

“Were you just in a crash?” Colangelo says.

Day quickly begins to walk away.

“Ma’am, come up here,” Colangelo says. “Don’t walk away.”

Colangelo approaches Day, who’s visibly distraught in the video and crying uncontrollably.

“Walk upstairs, alright? Let’s get out of this water area,” Colangelo says.

“I don’t wanna. I’m scared,” Day responds.

Colangelo eventually convinces Day to walk up a flight of stairs to the road.

“Don’t run. Slowly walk,” says Colangelo, who’s seen walking behind Day in the video.

Day gets about halfway up the stairs before suddenly turning around and stabbing Colangelo in the neck. The deputy screams out, the blade nicking his carotid artery, authorities said.

Day ran off and Colangelo fired one shot at her, but missed.

Despite being stabbed and suffering a severe injury, Colangelo chased after Day while applying pressure to his wound, the sheriff’s office said…

200+ CN Workers File Against Feds, Rail Company for Vaxx Mandate Firings

The statement of claim, filed March 4, by lawyer Leighton Grey of Grey Wowk Spencer LLP, names Canadian National Railway, the Director of Rail Transport Michael DeJong and Transport Minister Omar Alghabra as respondents.

The suit alleges that CN’s mandatory vaccination policy, which requires employees to have had two doses of COVID-19 vaccine on or before January 24, 2022, discriminates against an identifiable group of Canadians and does not provide exemptions for Canadians with natural immunity or those with conscientious objections or for those working remotely or with little to no contact with other colleagues.

Employees not complying with the policy or refusing to provide vaccination status to their managers had been put on unpaid leave, something Grey argues is akin to constructive dismissal.

Carbon Tax Rebates Not Covering Costs to Canadians

By 2030, these net losses would mean thousands in additional taxes a year for some households.

Today’s Lesson, Kids: ‘Crusaders’ Bad; ‘Crusading’ Good. Huh?

A sports team undergoing a nickname change in the name of political correctness is about as newsworthy these days as reporting that there is salt water in the Atlantic Ocean.

In that regard, the NBA’s Washington Bullets were early adopters. Way back in 1997 — when the world was less woke and more normal — the Bullets changed their nickname to Wizards. Then-owner Abe Pollin deemed that “Bullets” was inappropriate for a city that suffered from so much illegal gun violence. Hey, way to go, Abe. Thumb your nose at the Second Amendment, rebrand the team as “Wizards”, and sit back watch the gun crime rate in D.C. plummet! Not. Well, at least that new nickname likely trended well with the Harry Potter community…

Wimpified Wizards aside, more recently, any sports team nickname that’s linked to natives is now pretty much radioactive — not with the majority of natives, mind you, but with the Social Justice Weirdo set. And so it is Eskimos, Indians and Redskins are deader than disco as the cancel culture mob now focuses its manufactured outrage toward the Blackhawks, Braves and Chiefs.

But here’s a sports team nickname change that is truly baffling. The Kennebecasis Valley High School in Quispamsis, N.B., recently changed its name from “Crusaders” to “Blue Knights”.

Vaccine Injury Reaction Story: Meet Diana Hoar

Last week I published an article highlighting the announcement by the Justin Trudeau Liberal Government to commit $75,000,000 to a grant program for those damaged by the COVID injectables. I had asked people who were suffering adverse reactions to reach out to me via e-mail and now my inbox is bursting with stories and personal accounts.

One of those stories was Diana Hoar. She is a 55-year-old otherwise healthy woman who wanted to get vaccinated to get back to normal. She wanted to eat at a restaurant, enjoy Tim Hortons coffee dates with her husband and travel to see her daughter in Australia where she has a grandchild that she has never met. But all of those longings have become more difficult or impossible due her worsening condition after receiving her second Moderna dose in the summer of 2021.

Czech politicians have voiced their discomfort at the National Theater’s decision to cancel a performance of Tchaikovsky’s opera, “Cherevichki.”

Confronting the Czech Minister of Culture Martin Baxa, the ANO movement MP Ivana Madlova questioned the extent to which Russian culture will be canceled in the wake of the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Are we going to get rid of the books by Russian classics Dostoevsky, Pushkin, or Gogol? Will we destroy the pictures of Russian realists?” Madlova asked the government minister on Thursday.

Italy, Croatia, US, Turkey and Montenegro Will Send Troops to Hungary to Establish NATO Battalion

The decision not to introduce a no-fly zone over Ukraine is fully in line with Hungary’s national interests, said Hungarian Defense Minister Tibor Benko said after Thursday’s NATO summit. He stressed that the alliance is not a belligerent side in the war in Hungary’s neighborhood, and will do its utmost to ensure that hostilities do not escalate or spread beyond Ukraine’s borders,

The defense minster stated that in order to strengthen its role in the eastern and southeastern wings of the alliance, NATO had established a forward defense presence. This means that eight battalions will soon be formed on the eastern and southeastern wings of the alliance.

“One of them is our own, which was established earlier,” Benko pointed out. “We, the Hungarian Armed Forces, created this. It is under the leadership of Hungary.”

Poland to Slash Personal Income Tax to 12% as Part of Government’s ‘Anti-Putin Shield’ Proposals

The Polish government has announced a significant tax cut to personal income to help Poles tackle the ongoing cost of living crisis.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki revealed on Thursday the government’s intention to slash personal income tax from 17 to 12 percent, believing the move would “alleviate the consequences of the war in Ukraine at least to a certain extent.

“This is the threshold that includes everyone, the pensioners and those under employment contracts,” Morawiecki said.

In addition, the government’s proposals — dubbed the “Anti-Putin shield” — will introduce the ability for individuals on a flat income tax rate to partially deduct health insurance contributions.

At the same time, mandatory quarantine and isolation requirements will also be lifted, however, individuals who test positive for Covid-19 will still be urged to isolate themselves.

The government will still reserve the right to reimpose compulsory quarantine and isolation requirements to handle any local outbreaks of the disease.

Tea With Geert Wilders

Geert Wilders is the leader of the Dutch ‘Party for Freedom’, and one of Europe’s most recognisable advocates for free speech. Because of his criticism of mass immigration and Islam, Wilders has faced constant death threats since 2004, requiring security wherever he goes.

We caught up with him to discuss the current political climate in the Netherlands, his hopes for a future ‘Nexit’, and the Dutch attitude to the Ukrainian refugees.

Editor: Mr Wilders, your Party (the PVV) came third in last year’s election — what can you tell us about the current political landscape in the Netherlands right now?

Geert Wilders: Well, we had municipality elections last week and very few people came to vote — less than 50 percent, which is really the lowest we ever had in municipality elections. So there is a lot of distrust in politics, and more specifically in government. Even though it was local government, lots of people vote according to their national principles so it’s not going too well.

We have now a Prime Minister in his fourth cabinet, and people feel they have very little influence in changing the government, whether it’s about the European Union, lower taxes, or less immigration or whatever issue. People feel that they have very few things to say. So, the state of our democracy, the trust in government is indeed, from left to right, actually over the whole political spectrum you have a different analysis, but they all agree that we have a serious problem when it comes to the political climate in the Netherlands.

Editor: You are famously Eurosceptic — are you encouraged by what you’ve seen of Britain post-Brexit?

Geert Wilders: Yes, of course. Britain chose to regain their national sovereignty — that is the best thing that any country at the end of the day could decide. Of course, it will hurt at the beginning. We also had a survey made I think about ten years ago, what would happen if the Dutch would leave the European Union, and at the beginning it would hurt. But at the end of the day, you will be stronger — both your economy, and your parliament will be stronger, because it’s more sovereign. Your law making, you’re in-charge of your own budget, of your own immigration policy, and so on.

No one expected it to go better for Britain in a fortnight. But yes they regained national sovereignty, and I think they are far better off than we are. Unfortunately, because of what is happening in the Ukraine now, you see that all the pro-EU forces take their chance you know when it comes to a European army, they insist there has to be a European army, more funding for Europe, a common immigration policy. Of course for the Ukrainians, it’s the worst thing to happen first and foremost. But it is also misused by pro-EU politicians, to get more EU instead of less, and unfortunately a lot of people support it nowadays…

Ukraine Proposed Poland as a Guarantor of a Future Peace Deal With Russia

According to unofficial sources quoted by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (DGP) paper, Warsaw has agreed to a Ukrainian proposal to become a guarantor state in a potential truce agreement with Russia, along with the UN Security Council members of the U.K., U.K., China, France, Russia, plus Turkey and Germany.

This information was confirmed by the deputy head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s administration, Andrij Sybih. Presidential Minister Jakub Kumoch also confirmed the information.

The government in Warsaw has agreed to Ukraine proposing Poland as a guarantor state in its amendments to the agreement. Simultaneously, it was emphasized that Poland would support such a solution which was fully acceptable by the Ukrainian side and which guaranteed respect for Ukraine’s independence and its territorial integrity.

Caroline Glick: Becoming the Strong Tribe of the Middle East

In an interview with Fox News, former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained that the fight he led against the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran in 2015 instigated the strategic partnership Israel developed with the Sunni Arab states which in turn spawned the 2020 Abraham Accords. The Saudis, the Emiratis, the Egyptians and other Arab states watched Israel’s leader’s stubborn fight against Obama’s deal with Iran’s regime, a deal that threatened them no less than it threatened the Jewish state, and reached the conclusion that far from being their enemy, Israel was their most powerful and trustworthy ally.

On the surface, Tuesday’s summit at Sharm e-Sheikh between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Egyptian President Abd el-Fattah a-Sisi and UAE Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) seemed a natural progression from what Netanyahu began. Just as they came to Israel in 2015 as Obama was poised to sell them down the river to Iran, so today, as the Biden administration is about to conclude an even more dangerous nuclear deal with the Iranian regime, the Sunnis called on Jerusalem to tighten its security coordination with them. And Bennett seemed to deliver, by offering to develop a regional air defense system.

Unfortunately, there are good reasons to think other dynamics were at play this week at Sharm. Those reasons are anchored in the way that the Arab states view the Biden administration’s decision to implement Barack Obama’s policy of realigning the U.S. towards Iran at the expense of Israel and its traditional Sunni Arab allies…

Latest Developments

President Biden traveled to Rzeszow, a Polish town that has become a hub for Western military aid to Ukraine, signaling U.S. determination to support Kyiv with high-tech weaponry to punish Moscow for its invasion.

Mr. Biden is scheduled to meet his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda, a day after both of them attended a NATO summit where members pledged to reinforce the alliance’s eastern flank, provide further military support to Ukraine, and impose high economic costs on Russia.

The two leaders are expected to focus on the growing refugee crisis, with the bulk of Ukrainians having crossed into Poland. More than 3.6 million people have fled the country, the U.N. said.

The battle around Ukraine’s capital continued. To Kyiv’s northwest, Ukraine’s military attempted to encircle Moscow’s forces, drawing closer to allow for ambushes. Ukrainian forces made territorial gains to the west of Kyiv, including in the town of Irpin, a battleground for weeks now. Russia made progress in Kyiv’s north and east, retaking the town of Izyum and shelling Kharkiv and Chernihiv.

Another 190 Migrants Arrived in UK on Small Boats Yesterday to Bring Total to 4,000 Already This Year — a Total Which Took Six Months to Pass in 2021

At least 4,087 people have made the treacherous journey across the Channel in 132 boats according to official Home Office figures — a number which wasn’t reached until June in 2021.

Poland Detains Activists Accused of Smuggling Migrants Over Belarus Border

Four activists were detained in Poland on 23 March for aiding migrants crossing the Belarusian border. They currently face three months of pre-trial arrest.

“When they helped refugees from Ukraine they were heroes, now for providing that same help in Podlasie, they are criminals,” said Grupa Granica, an organisation helping migrants and refugees, to which the detained activists belong.

The organisation said the activists were providing humanitarian aid to a family with seven children who had been stuck at the border for three months.

Prosecutor Jan Andrejczuk, from the regional prosecution office in Hajnówka, in eastern Poland, has told Polish media that the activists were arrested on suspicion of illegally smuggling people over the border, a crime punishable by up to eight years in prison. He added that he will petition the court for pre-trial detention of the suspects.

Video: Rand Paul Calls for Celebrating “Real Women” Rather Than “Men Who’ve Had Some Kind of Surgery”

Senator Rand Paul weighed into the “what is a woman?” controversy Thursday, calling for a celebration of “real women” in America, rather than men who have “had some kind of surgery.”

Paul made the comments in an interview with Newsmax, further referring to USA Today’s recent decision to award assistant secretary for health Rachel Levine, a biological male, Woman of the Year.

“I mean, what kind of bizarre world are we living in now that the woman of the year is really a man that has had some kind of surgery to remove their secondary sexual characteristics?” Paul questioned.

“That’s the woman of the year we’re supposed to be celebrating?” he continued, adding “What about real women?”

Top globalist: Putin has killed globalisation
    Published 26 March 2022 at 08.12
EXCERPT. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has put an end to three decades of globalisation. So says Larry Fink, CEO of fund manager Blackrock and a globalist himself.

In a letter to clients quoted by CNBC, the Blackrock CEO says the Ukraine invasion has essentially excluded Russia from the global economy and that the era of globalization is now over.

The sanctions imposed have driven up electricity and fuel prices while inflation and interest rates are rising rapidly around the world. Trends that were already clearly problematic in several countries, including Sweden, before the Russian incursion, following the corona pandemic and the support measures that followed it.

Countries and companies are now expected to have to rely less on other countries, as relying on the functioning of international trade can be risky.

“They are being forced to reassess their manufacturing and engineering activities abroad,” writes Larry Fink in the letter.

Operations will now have to be built at home in the West and in several other regions. This trend also began during the disruption of the corona pandemic, but will now intensify.

  2. Azerbaijanis quietly began to move in Karabakh/Artsakh in the zone of operation of Russian peacekeepers.

  3. HM. Not only did Joe Stalin give them half of Germany for “beautiful eyes”, just like that, for the fact of an alliance, so now this is it. Appetite comes with eating.

Polish general Skshipchak demanded to “return Kaliningrad to Poland”
    https://scooptrade.com/polish-general-skshipchak-demanded-to-return-kaliningrad-to-poland/

    The Polish press writes

    https://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/wiadomosci/7,114883,28267155,rosyjscy-politycy-o-wypowiedz-gen-skrzypczak-dot-obwodu-kaliningradzkiego.html

The region of the Kaliningrad region, also known as Krulevets, was once inhabited by the Baltic Prussians, who were then conquered by the Teutonic Order. Then, after the victory of Poland in the Thirteen Years’ War, these lands came under the control of the Commonwealth. The Poles lived mainly in Krulewiec itself, as well as in the southern border zone of the region. In 1757, under an agreement between Austria and Russia, Koenigsberg was included in Russia. In 1871 the city became part of the Reich. The Kaliningrad region became part of the USSR as a result of the Potsdam Conference in 1945. In 1946 its name was changed to Kaliningrad.

  4. We can still get Russia Today here. Yesterday they were proclaiming that the war in Ukraine was won already (by Russia) and that the west should stop supporting Ukraine and Ukraine should surrender. At this point I changed channels to Al Jazeera and got an entirely different story.
