AOC Encourages Voters to ‘Bully’ White House to Cancel Student Loan Debt

Far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) encouraged voters this week to continue to “bully” the Biden White House into canceling student loan debt — one of the left’s key agenda items that President Biden has failed to address.

During a Q&A on Instagram, the New York Democrat responded to a user who said, “Cancel student debt so I can buy a damn house.”

Biden Administration Likely to Restart Oil and Gas Leases After Federal Court Ruling

The Biden administration is likely to restart oil and gas leases on federal lands after a federal court ruling.

According to Bloomberg on Friday, the Department of the Interior will resume its plans for new oil and gas drilling after a three-judge panel on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay on a lower court ruling that blocked the administration from using a higher “social cost of carbon” in its environmental analyses.

Commies Lose Again: U. of Florida Removes ‘Karl Marx’ Study Room Following Russian Invasion of Ukraine

The University of Florida has removed Communist Manifesto author Karl Marx — who the university called a “philosopher, radical economist, and revolutionary critic” — from the name of a library study room. Incredibly, the school claims the decision is based on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The University of Florida’s “Karl Marx Group Study Room” has been renamed to “Group Study Room 229” after news reports that the school had named a study room in the Library West after the late philosopher, according to a report by Campus Reform.

Generic Ballot Shows GOP Crushing Democrats by 11 Points in Midterm Election

The news keeps getting worse for Democrats as their midterm prospects continue to dim.

The Republican Party is united, excited, and out for blood. Democrats are in disarray — ambivalent about their party leader, unable to find a winning issue, and anticipating defeat.

The Rassmussen generic congressional ballot of Republicans versus Democrats for the midterm election shows Republicans winning 50-39 percent. The February Rassmussen generic congressional ballot had the GOP up 50-37 percent.

Harvard Closes Police Station Because Students Felt the Sense of Being ‘Policed’

Harvard University recently closed its Mather House Campus Police substation due to students’ feelings about law enforcement.

Plea Deal Reached for Philadelphia Woman Who Set Cop Cars on Fire During George Floyd Protests

A woman charged with setting fire to two police vehicles during civil disorder in Philadelphia following 2020 protests over the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis has pleaded guilty to lesser offenses in an agreement with federal prosecutors.

Lore-Elisabeth Blumenthal, 35, pleaded guilty last week to two counts of obstructing law enforcement during a civil disorder, each carrying a maximum five-year term, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. She would have faced a seven-year minimum sentence if convicted of arson.

Defense attorney Paul Hetznecker called the deal “appropriate.” He called the original charges “political” and an overreaction to crimes that he maintained should have been pursued in state court.

What’s the Backstory of the Inappropriate Signs Spotted During the First Days of the Freedom Convoy?

For nearly 4 weeks, the convoy for freedom demonstration was one of the largest human rights demonstrations the country has ever seen. And yet, it remained perfectly peaceful, at least from the side of the protesters.

The convoy for freedom to Ottawa grew from a trucker protest against cross-border vaccine mandates to a protest against all covid restrictions for all Canadians. And so thousands of truckers and their supporters headed to Ottawa. In total, it was three consecutive weeks where the Freedom Convoy movement took place.

Fridge-Sized Asteroid Hit Earth Two Hours After First Spotted: NASA

An asteroid around the size of a refrigerator was spotted hours before it hit Earth’s atmosphere, and while it wasn’t dangerous, it marked the fifth time in history an asteroid was detected right before hitting our planet.

On March 11, astronomer Krisztian Sarneczky noticed an asteroid at the Piszkesteto Observatory in Hungary. Sarneczky reported it to the International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center, which confirmed it was the first time the asteroid had been observed.

Nasa’s “Scout” system, which constantly searches the Minor Planet Center’s database for any potential impacts, then calculated the asteroid’s orbit, finding that the asteroid would certainly hit Earth. The system then notified the Center for Near Earth Object Studies at Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California and other asteroid impact systems.

Luckily for Earth, the asteroid, named 2022 EB5, was around two metres long, a size “too small to pose a hazard to Earth”, Nasa said in a statement.

“Scout” determined the asteroid would enter Earth’s atmosphere around Jan Mayen, a Norwegian island roughly 480km (300 miles) northeast of Iceland. At 5.23pm ET, two hours after the asteroid was first spotted by Sarneczky, the asteroid hit Earth’s atmosphere just as “Scout” predicted.

Italian Antitrust Inquires Into Petrol Price Hikes

Authority asks major oil companies for information

ROME, MAR 18 — The Italian antitrust authority on Friday said it has asked leading oil companies for information over soaring fuel prices that have led to big hikes for petrol and diesel at the mpump.

“Following the extraordinary increase in fuel and gasoline prices registered over the past few days, as well as the many complaints received”, the authority said in a statement that it has forwarded to major oil companies a detailed request for information, with the support of finance police.

The authority said the objective is to “look into the reasons behind such increases and, eventually, to evaluate the existence of areas for possible intervention only in the event of a violation of rules regarding the abuse of a dominant position or agreements restricting competition”.

As during the first months of the COVID pandemic, the antitrust stressed that it was “careful to monitor the exceptional price increases that are registered sometimes during critical phases and to verify that such phenomena are not the outcome of behavior limiting competition”.

Caroline Glick: Ukraine’s Lessons for Israel

In the months and weeks that led up to Russia’s Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine, Western powers signaled clearly that they were prepared to accept the disappearance of Ukraine as an independent state. U.S. President Joe Biden virtually invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade in late January when he said that a “minor incursion” would leave NATO flat-footed. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, like his predecessor Angela Merkel, served as the Kremlin’s unofficial spokesman in Europe.

But once Russian forces invaded, the West’s plans to yell a bit and look away went awry. The Ukrainians failed to play their assigned role of Paschal lambs. Instead, they rallied around their flag and their president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

For his part, Zelensky captivated the hero-starved West. His rejoinder, when the Biden administration offered to evacuate him from Ukraine on the second day of the war, “I don’t need a ride, I need ammunition,” reminded Americans of a time when they weren’t being attacked for being transphobic or systemically racist, a time when patriotism was permitted.

Once Americans and other Western audiences got a whiff of Ukrainian nationalism, it became politically impossible for Washington, Brussels, Berlin, Paris and London to turn their backs on Kyiv. And so, with little deliberation, Biden and his European counterparts announced a series of unprecedented financial and economic sanctions on Russia and massive shipments of arms and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

For a moment, it was possible to wonder whether Russia’s reminder that the problems of the world cannot be reduced to the pronouns one uses or the amount of carbon one burns on an average day would change the focus of Western elites. But it was not to be. The ruling classes in Brussels and Washington made clear that the war in Ukraine would not steer them off course…

Iran’s “Draconian” Internet Censorship Bill Gets Pushback

In a joint statement, several rights groups have condemned a draconian internet censorship bill Iran plans to introduce. The bill would place the control of the internet and internet infrastructure on the government, a government that does not have a good track record of respecting free speech and other human rights.

This month, the Iranian Parliament started the process of ratifying the Regulatory System for Cyberspace Services Bill. If the bill passes, the internet infrastructure and the national gateways of Iran would be under an agency called the Secure Gateway Taskforce, which would directly answer to the office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Latest Developments

In Ukraine: Russia appeared to be preparing to reset its forces, replenishing losses in soldiers and equipment after weeks of brutal combat. The country also has been mobilizing people in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, occupied by Russia, to reinforce its military.

Russia’s assault on Ukraine has forced more than 10 million people to abandon their homes, the United Nations said.

Staff at the Chernobyl nuclear plant have been able to rotate and return home for the first time in nearly four weeks, the United Nations atomic agency reported.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said Sunday that it fired a number of long-range weapons at targets in Ukraine, including its new Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missile. It is the second time in as many days Russia said it has employed the weapon.

In Mariupol, the embattled port city where fighting reached the streets, Ukrainian officials said an art school where around 400 people had been sheltering was bombed by Russia, trapping people beneath the rubble. Their condition was uncertain.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky suspended activities of 11 political parties with ties to Russia, which Ukrainian officials believe serve as fronts for Kremlin interests.

In remarks to Israeli lawmakers, Mr. Zelensky criticized Israel’s refusal to send military aid and disparaged Israeli mediation efforts.

In Russia: Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed on Friday to press on with his invasion of Ukraine, defending the assault in a rare public appearance before flag-waving supporters in a Moscow stadium.

In Washington: President Biden will travel to Brussels for a series of meetings with U.S. allies on the Ukraine war and the West’s response. He has no plans to visit Ukraine, the White House said. Vatican Chief Okays Ukraine’s Use of Arms to Repel Unjust Aggressor

ROME — Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin has recognized the legitimacy of recourse to arms to repel an unjust aggressor such as in the case of Ukraine in an apparent contradiction of Pope Francis’ rejection of Catholic “just war” doctrine.

“The use of weapons is never something desirable, because it always carries a very high risk of taking the life of people or causing serious injury and terrible material damage,” Cardinal Parolin told the Spanish Catholic weekly Vida Nueva when asked whether European nations should be sending weapons to Ukraine.

“Nonetheless, the right to defend one’s life, one’s people and one’s country sometimes also involves the sad recourse to arms,” the cardinal recognized. “At the same time both sides must refrain from the use of prohibited weapons and fully respect international humanitarian law to protect civilians and non-combatants.”

Bangladesh: Muslim Mob Screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’ Attacks and Robs Hindu Temple Ahead of Holi

After unleashing mammoth violence on the Hindus during the Hindu festival of Durga Puja in October 2021, some Muslims in Bangladesh are at it again; this time, the Hindu festival of Holi stands sacrificed at the altar of their frenzied jihad violence. While the Muslims targeted the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple in Noakhali, Chittagong during the Durga Pujas, it was now time for the association’s Dhaka temple to pay the penalty for standing on Islamic soil.

On the evening of Thursday, March 17, a riotous mob of around 200 Muslims launched a violent attack on the ISKCON temple situated on the Lalmohan Saha Street at Wari, Old Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) reports that a 62-year-old Muslim, vicious attack; under his supervision, the mob of enraged Muslims carrying rods, sticks, hammers, sickles and other makeshift rustic weapons stormed into the Hindu religious establishment. They took down the southern wall of the temple, demolished several old structures, vandalized the premises, desecrated the idols of Hindu deities that had been placed in the temple, and robbed the temple of cash and other expensive articles. India: Jihadi Death Threats to Judges Over ‘Hijab Ban’. Two Islamists Arrested, Several Booked

B Upendran | HENB | Chennai | March 20, 2022:: Tamil Nadu police arrested two Muslim men on Saturday on the charge of issuing death threats to Karnataka high court judges who delivered the ‘hijab verdict’ on March 15 that upheld a ban on students wearing the Islamic headscarf in class.

Kovai Rahmathullah was arrested in Tirunelveli, while S Jamal Mohammed Usmani, 44, was taken into custody in Thanjavur.

A three-judge bench (comprising Justice and Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, Justice Krishna S Dixit and Khazi Jaibunnisa Mohiuddin) of Karnataka HC held in its verdict that hijab is not an essential practice of Islam and exclusion of the headscarf comes under reasonable restriction. The court also upheld a February 5 Karnataka government order asking students to follow the uniform mandated by educational institutions.

Several Islamic outfits have been protesting across Tamil Nadu against the Karnataka HC’s judgment. A video clip of one such protest meeting in Tamil against the Karnataka HC’s judgment. A video clip of one such protest meeting in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai on Thursday went viral on social media two days later. It shows Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamath (TNTJ) auditing committee member Kovai Rahmathullah purportedly saying that a judge who gave a ‘wrong’ verdict was killed during his morning walk in Jharkhand.

“There are some emotional people in our community,” he said in a veiled threat to the judges. “If something happens to them (Karnataka HC judges), BJP is waiting for an opportunity to blame us.”

Police registered cases against two more people, TNTJ Madurai district president Habibullah and vice president Asan Badshah, who had organised the meeting.

In Thanjavur, police arrested TNTJ headquarters speaker S Jamal Mohammed Usmani on Friday and booked the outfit’s Thanjavur district leader Rajik Mohammed for making derogatory remarks against Karnataka HC judges, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamath (TNTJ) is a extremist organization in the sate of Tamil Nadu and is working under camouflaged manner in several states in the south extending hand to hand support to other Islamist organizations viz. Popular Front of India (PFI), Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Campus Front of India (CFI), Students Islamic Organization (SIO) and others. All these organizations are subversive and communal outfits as per many reports of the Union Govt of India. ‘All these organizations should be banned immediately’, opined a senior BJP leader in Tamil Nadu.

B Upendran | HENB | Shivamogga | March 20, 2022:: Coming under pressure from Hindutva groups, the organizing committee of the historic Kote Marikamba Jatre in Shivamogga in Karnataka has favoured only Hindu shopkeepers during the five-day festival beginning on and from March 22.

Leaders of the Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and BJP demanded that no Muslim be allowed to do business during the festival as they did not condemn the brutal murder of Hindu activist Harsha by some ‘Jihadi elements’. This forced the festival committee to allot the tender to a Hindutva group.

Harsha Nagara alias Harsha Hindu was murdered in Shivamogga on February 20 this year by a gang of armed Muslim men created a sharp divide between the Hindu-Muslims in Karnataka. Instead of condemning the brutal killing of Harsha, various Muslim groups spitted venom against Hindus in the communal line and pelted stones/bricks even in the funeral procession of Harsha very unfortunately.

Harsha was a popular Hindutva face in his district and connected with various activities related to Cow Protection, Saving Hindu Girls from Love Jihad Trap and many Hindu festivals including Kote Marikamba Jatre.

Kote Marikamba Jatre, held once in two years, attracts lakhs of people from neighbouring cities and districts. The last time it was held was in February 2020. People from all castes take part in the event. According to the residents, Muslims and Christians also offer harake, an offering to the deity for fulfillment of a wish.

The committee had allotted the tender of managing shops and collect fees from each shopkeeper to one Chikkanna. He had deposited ?9.1 lakh to the Jatre (fair/festival) committee. As had been the practice all these years, he had allotted shops to Muslim traders too. But, when they went to put up stalls on March 17 night, a few Hindutva activists picked up an argument, ‘Whether they (Muslim traders) condemn the murder of Harsha or not’. As the Muslim traders tried to depict Harsha murder as a ‘political thing’ and did not condemn Harsha’s murder, the irritated Hindu activists asked them not to set up shops at the jatre (fair).

Chikkanna, who was upset with the development, cancelled his tender and demanded return of his money from the committee.

On March 19, the committee held a meeting with representatives of Hindutva groups. It was resolved to give the tender to Hindutva groups for allotment of shops as per their wish.

Talking to HENB, a senior VHP leader of Karnataka opined, “Hindus are all embracing. But adopting the communal line even through murder of Hindus, hardcore Muslim elements are going against majority people as an increasing trend in Karnataka and entire South India. General Muslims are not condemning it, rather their silent support is unfortunately indicative. South has been turned as new bastion of ‘Home grown Jihad’. In this situation, Hindus must keep themselves at a safe distance”.

India: Muslims Stab Three Hindus for Shouting Nationalist Slogans After Seeing ‘The Kashmir Files’

The international media will continue to portray the Hindus as the perpetrators and the Muslims as victims. This is the universal media narrative: in always and every case, Muslims are victims. Remember how the coverage of the 20th anniversary of 9/11 was largely about how Muslims allegedly suffered from “Islamophobia” after the jihad attacks.

Frydenberg Flags Plan to Cut Petrol Costs

Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is reportedly considering a huge move that could see petrol prices slashed ahead of the election, as fuel costs head past $2 a litre.

The Federal Government is considering a temporary cut to the 44-cent fuel excise in a welcome move that could deliver immediate relief, but has ruled out a freeze on automatic indexation.

The fuel excise that comes into force in August, with the government arguing that automatic indexation would not deliver substantial cost of living relief for families.

The main thing I would say is what we will do will be temporary and it will be targeted and that’s all I can say,’’ Mr Frydenberg told news.com.au in an interview.

News.com.au reported that any changes would cost the budget hundreds of millions of dollars but the cost could be made “temporary” and “targeted” to address cost of living pressure now by limiting the cut to specified time frame.

‘For example, if the Morrison Government was to cut the 44 cents a litre tax by 10 cents on budget night, such a cut would deliver a $6 saving to motorists at the bowser when they fill up a tank. The cost of a temporary reduction in fuel excise of 10 cents a litre for six months would cost the government $1.5 billion.’

Flow of Refugees From Ukraine Slows

The number of refugees leaving Ukraine has slowed somewhat after crossing the 3 million mark last week.

More than 3.38 million people have fled the country since Russia launched its full-scale assault on Feb. 24, the United Nations said Sunday. Around 55,000 people left Ukraine Saturday.

For much of the first three weeks of fighting, refugee flows topped 150,000 per day and exceeded 200,000 people on some days. In recent days, refugee numbers have been below 100,000 people per day.

The U.N. continues to expect the total number of refugees from Ukraine may reach 4 million people.

Switzerland: Muslim Migrant Beheads His Wife Because a Car Mechanic Wanted to Repair Her Car for Free

This migrant is a product of a culture of violence that mandates the beating of disobedient women (cf. Qur’an 4:34). If she was unfaithful to him, as he suspected, she was disobeying the order mandated by Allah, and consequently was an unbeliever, to be beheaded (cf. Qur’an 47:4).

Did Swiss authorities really think that he would leave at the door the attitudes and assumptions that he had imbibed for years?

The Border is Open, And Al-Qaeda is Calling on Jihadis to Come in

Old Joe Biden’s handlers have essentially erased the Southern border, and as a result, illegals are streaming in at a rapid clip. Even the New York Times, a reliable Leftist propaganda organ, admitted last October that “migrants were encountered 1.7 million times in the last 12 months, the highest number of illegal crossings recorded since at least 1960.” A new record could be set in 2022, as the UK’s Daily Mail reported Thursday that “more than 170,000 migrants are waiting on the Mexican-side of the U.S.-Mexico border to cross and claim asylum” once the Biden administration trashes, as it is expected to do, Title 42, a Trump-era provision that allowed illegal migrants to be expelled during the COVID-19 hysteria. And as all this is unfolding, al-Qaeda has published a new online magazine encouraging jihad terrorists to immigrate to the United States and commit massacres here. It looks as if yet another Biden-caused disaster is in the offing.

Ukrainian women’s night of terror – Somali broke into the shelter: ‘I’m so scared I want to go home’
    Home

    19 March 2022

Thousands of Ukrainian women and children have fled to Sweden in recent weeks. Now Samnytt is the first media to report that some of them, who fled to Örebro, want to return to the war in Ukraine. The reason is that, after an incident during the week when foreign men entered their accommodation, they do not feel safe.
    – When bombs come, at least I know I can go down to the basement and hide there,” says one of the women.

Busloads of Ukrainian refugee women with children have arrived in Örebro in recent weeks. Several of them have been offered beds at Örebro City Hostel.

But the Ukrainians do not feel safe at the hostel. The background is some incidents last night when a number of unknown men, on several occasions, tried to get into the women’s homes.

    Volunteer tells
Samnytt has spoken to one of the Ukrainian women at the hostel. We have also spoken to a female volunteer in Örebro who works with the women. None of them want us to print their names.

By talking to the two women, Samnytt has managed to form a picture of what happened on Monday night.

    First Somali
The first incident occurred at around 3am. At that time, two Somali men started knocking on the hostel’s front door. Without opening the door, the Ukrainian woman tried to talk to the men outside.

    – They looked like African-Americans, if I may put it politely. They were black people. Tall and thin with black skin,” she told Samnytt.

She explained to the men that only Ukrainian women and children live in the hostel, but they claimed they have a friend who lives there. After asking the name of the friend, she was able to find out that no such person lives in the hostel.

But the men did not give in. After a while, a third Somali man appeared outside the hostel. The women found the situation uncomfortable and went into their rooms and locked themselves in.

    Knocking on the door
In an unclear way, one or more of the Somali men then managed to get into the hostel.

    – They started knocking on the door of a woman who lives with her two young children, aged two and four. They were terrified. The four-year-old was quiet, but the two-year-old was screaming,” says the volunteer.

    – They tried to get in to see her. The men were speaking in a foreign language. She, who lives in the room, doesn’t speak English, but recognises English and understood that the men were speaking in another language.

    Then the Arabs came
Instead, at around 5am, a group of Arab men came and tried to enter the hostel.

    – However, they did not manage to get into the hostel, the volunteer says.

    – I have spoken to the women. They are scared. In Germany, a Ukrainian refugee woman was gang-raped.

    Confirmed by the hostel
The fact that a group of men tried to enter the hostel is confirmed by a staff member Samnytt spoke to. However, the hostel is trying to downplay the incident.

    – Someone knocked on the door and wanted to find a place to stay for the night. They were trying to find a place to stay, says the employee.

In the middle of the night?

    – I haven’t spoken to the people who knocked on the door.

The hostel has now deployed security guards to keep an eye on things. They have also informed the Ukrainian refugees that they can either contact the hostel staff or call the police on 112 if they feel unsafe.

    No police report
Ola Olsson is the officer in charge of the police in Örebro. He tells Samnytt that he does not know anything about the incident at the hostel on Monday night.

According to the volunteer Samnytt spoke to, there is an explanation for it. The Ukrainian women did not dare to call the police because they were afraid of getting into trouble.

    – The interpreter told them not to call the police, because they are not registered with the Migration Board yet, the volunteer said.

    Want to go home
According to the volunteer, several of the women are so shaken by the events of Monday night that they regret fleeing to Sweden. Some even wish they had stayed in war-torn Ukraine.

    – I’m so scared I want to go home,” says one of them.

    – When bombs come, at least I know I can go down to the basement and hide there.

  2. Your country is invaded by Russia/China. You have many parties, oligarchs and media with links to the Russia/China government… What do you do?

Btw those parties are not banned forever – just for the duration of “martial law” – presumably for the duration of the conflict…

As for the “neo-nazi parties”, which ones are they? From what I heard, Ukraine has fewer “far right” parties in its parliament, than most European countries.

  3. Carnival during Lent? In Belgium? The nation must already be owned by the Khazars.

  4. What is forbidden to do after the recognition of Meta as extremists

Today, Meta has been recognized as an extremist organization in the Russian Federation. What does it mean? What is now possible and what is not?

Facebook and Instagram have already been blocked. WhatsApp will not be affected by this, because the messenger is not a means of public dissemination of information and has not yet been recognized as extremist.

    – Use of social networks is allowed. Perhaps there will be a penalty for that later.

    – Leaving links to social networks without footnotes is prohibited. It is forbidden to publicly demonstrate all the symbols – for displaying the Facebook or Instagram logo, for example, on a website or a storefront, one faces up to 15 days of arrest.

    – To avoid this, you need to put notes that these are extremist organizations. For example, “* an organization recognized as extremist on the territory of the Russian Federation.”

“It’s better not to shop at Oculus, not pay for advertising and promotion on Facebook and Instagram, and sell Meta shares. Theoretically, this can be regarded as financing an extremist organization. Also, for security, unlink payment details and cards from Meta services.

An important point: the decision of the court has not yet entered into force. You have one month to appeal. After this period, Meta may appear in the list of extremist organizations on the website of the Ministry of Justice.

    • I don’t disagree with the Russian government on this. At best, even before Zuck the Cuck started interfering in politics his social media and the copycats it spawned have been a very unwholesome influence on every society where it is present; far outweighing what little utility it has created.

  5. ‘Twisted Islamist terrorist’ pulled out a knife, said ‘sorry’ to Sir David Amess MP and stabbed him 21 times, court hears: Accused ‘thought he would die a martyr’s death at hands of a police marksman but was bundled to the floor by two unarmed PCs’. To think there are millions of these Islamic things wandering freely throughout the western world.

    • Yeah, that is why I can’t wait until the Great Purge begins, then there will be none.

The SLS detains four people for acquitting Russia on war crimes

The State Security Service (SSD) has launched criminal proceedings to justify and support Russia’s targeted and systematic military aggression against Ukraine and its people.

On Monday, March 7, within the framework of this criminal proceeding, the SES carried out court-sanctioned procedural activities in Riga and another populated area in Latvia, detaining four persons.

The VDD initiated criminal proceedings on 1 March this year in accordance with the elements of the criminal offenses provided for in Articles 74.1 and 78 of the Criminal Law, ie for the possible justification and glorification of crimes against peace and war crimes and possible incitement to national and ethnic hatred or discord. employees of the organization using an automated data processing system.

In the course of the investigation, the SES was informed that the leaders, employees and members of the organization were organizing events in support of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. There are also regular calls against the Ukrainian people during events organized by the organization.

During the proceedings, the SES has acquired a large body of information and is currently investigating and analyzing it.

The investigation into this case is ongoing and the SLS will provide additional information on the progress of the criminal proceedings.

The SLS recalls that no person shall be held guilty until his or her guilt has been established in accordance with the law.
