Syrian refugee family is suing the Aargau health department
In no other canton in Switzerland do temporarily admitted persons receive less financial support than in the canton of Aargau. A Syrian refugee family has now lodged a complaint and is demanding more money.
A refugee family of six in the canton of Aargau has to get by on CHF 1,440 per month. Because the money is not enough, the family has now submitted a 29-page complaint to the government council.
As the Aargauer Zeitung reports, they are supported by law students from the University of Bern as part of the “Human Rights Law Clinic”. [Why am I not surprised that Academentia is sticking their ideological retarded noses in?] According to the complaint, the social welfare approaches violate, among other things, the prohibition of discrimination, human dignity and the priority of the child’s well-being.
As the media office of the health department confirms to the newspaper, a corresponding complaint has been received by the government council.
Two bedrooms for six people
The family from Syria was only admitted temporarily. This means: your application for asylum was rejected, but a return to your home country is not reasonable because of the civil war there. [what civil WAR? Their Interior Minister has been begging these people to come back home?] The family lives in a collective accommodation. There is a room for the parents, one for the four children, a living room, a toilet and a small kitchen.
The family does not have to pay for accommodation or health insurance. They have to pay for the rest of the costs themselves, such as food, diapers or tickets for the bus. For support, temporarily admitted people in Aargau receive nine francs a day. Children between the ages of 6 and 16 get eight francs, younger ones only five. There is also a clothing allowance of CHF 20 per month per person — that is less than in any other canton in Switzerland.

Almost 2,800 temporarily admitted people are currently living in Aargau, and a little more than 1,000 of them are employed. The parents of the Syrian family both don’t work because they can’t. The father has shoulder problems and two of his left fingers are permanently disabled — he was shot during a demonstration in his home country.
The mother has problems with her intervertebral disc and is mentally ill. It is therefore difficult for both of them to find work and earn something extra, according to the complaint.
Three children have to share a laptop
It would be different if the family were recognized as refugees. Then they would be on an equal footing with the Swiss when it cones to social assistance. That means: In the canton of Aargau they would then have 2,586 francs at their disposal. So much more than at the moment.
Now they only get 1,440 francs. And that’s just not enough. According to the complaint, this can be seen, for example, in the children who could not go to school because of the pandemic. They had to share a laptop. The children already had little space in the accommodation to be able to study in peace. It is not known why the family’s application for asylum was rejected. The Office for Migration (SEM) has no comment on the case when asked by Blick.

Sooner or later you run out of other peoples money. The Swiss are the only ones since the Crusades who have never suffered war, famine and pestilence. Interesting no? With the influx of the 3rd world, they just might get that war yet?
Yes, their sense of entitlement is breathtaking.
In the wake of WWII, we had one bedroom for four persons and no subsidies whatsoever in the rubble that Germany was in ( no applause welcome from the usual suspects, I know it was deserved) , just salaries. Maybe this family would be better of to squat some five room flat in Aleppo, get some plywood for the doors and windows, repair plumbing and wires, and collect welfare checks from their generous state. But gainful employment is not their cup of tea.
