9-Year-Old Girl Shot in Apparent Houston Road Rage Incident

A 9-year-old girl is in critical condition after she was shot in the head on Tuesday night during an apparent road rage incident in Houston, Texas.

The girl was traveling with her father, mother and 12-year-old brother to the grocery store around 9 p.m. when their Chevy Tahoe was caught in the middle of two cars that appeared to be racing, the Houston Police Department said in a statement to The Hill.

A white GMC Denali cut off the family several times before the driver of the pickup truck swerved behind the Tahoe and someone in the Denali fired a gun directly at the family’s vehicle before fleeing, police said.

The girl was struck in the head but the rest of the family members were not injured, police said. The family pulled over to a local gas station and the girl was transported to the Texas Children’s Hospital, where she had surgery overnight. She is still listed in critical condition as of the latest police update on Wednesday evening…

Connecticut Students Protest at Capitol Over School Masks

HARTFORD — A group of about a dozen suburban children and their parents held a small anti-mask protest outside the State Capitol Wednesday morning as lawmakers arrived for the first day of the 12-week legislative session.

A small footprint on the site of last year’s protest of thousands of people opposed to vaccine and mask mandates, the school students complained about being disrespected and disciplined by teachers in an atmosphere that has prevented them from learning, socializing and even seeing the facial expressions of their fellow students.

Fact Checkers Are the Ministry of Truth

Growth of ‘Climate Therapy’ For ‘Eco-Anxiety’ Labeled “Rational” By NY Times

The New York Times reports on the growth of ‘climate therapy’ for leftists suffering from ‘eco-anxiety’, including people who are having panic attacks over perceived environmental catastrophes and their friends going on holiday.

In an article titled ‘Climate Change Enters the Therapy Room’, the newspaper reports, “Eco-anxiety, a concept introduced by young activists, has entered a mainstream vocabulary. And professional organizations are hurrying to catch up. Though there is little empirical data on effective treatments, the field is expanding swiftly.”

According to Portland psychologist Dr. Thomas J. Doherty, who has built an entire practice catering for the treatment of climate anxiety, people are being triggered into mental breakdowns by things as simple as their friends discussing future vacations.

Hardwired Global, a human rights organization based in Richmond, Virginia, that has crafted curricula to promote peace and pluralism in the Middle East and North Africa, is launching a new effort to combat “divisive curriculums and teacher training programs” based on critical race theory (CRT).

“Divisive curriculums and teacher training programs based on CRT and similar frameworks that are currently being sold to schools are rooted in Marxism and discriminatory ideas,” Tina Ramirez, president and executive director of Hardwired Global, told Fox News Digital. “From my work around the world and my extensive human rights background, I’ve seen firsthand that this only leads to more division and hate, and worsens existing problems.”

Los Angeles Deputy DAs Slam George Gascon for Declining Their Invitation to Defend Himself Against Recall

A group representing more than 800 Los Angeles prosecutors invited their boss to defend himself from a petition seeking to oust him in a recall election. He declined.

Democratic L.A. District Attorney George Gascon’s own deputies slammed him for blowing them off at a virtual town hall event at which they’d asked him to explain why he shouldn’t be recalled Wednesday. They also wanted to ask him questions about “his policies and decisions.”

They had invited him last week and asked for a response by 1 p.m. Wednesday — which they received at 12:23 p.m. The deputies also accused Gascon of rarely actually showing up to work and of violating the public’s trust.

More Lewis County Students Join Protests Over School Mask Mandate

Student protests against the state’s mask requirement in schools have picked up steam in Lewis County, with students from multiple school districts initiating their own walkouts this week.

The mandate for Washington schools was initially issued in early August 2021 as a requirement to resume in-person learning.

The state issued a statewide indoor mask mandate on Aug. 23, 2021 as the delta and omicron variants caused COVID-19 case rates to rise.

Several state governors — including Oregon Gov. Kate Brown — recently announced plans to lift masking requirements in schools.

Auto Plants Start Halting Production Following Border Protests

The anti-vaccination trucker protest that has paralyzed the Canadian capital, Ottawa, has spread to Michigan’s border and threatens to create chaos in an auto industry already struggling to cope with what industry experts have described as a “fragile supply chain.”

Demonstrators have been setting up blockades at the two bridges linking Ontario and Michigan since Monday. The Blue Water and Ambassador bridges together serve thousands of trucks every day, many of them carrying automotive parts and finished vehicles.

Traffic over the Ambassador Bridge has come to a virtual halt. Only a small number of trucks moved from Canada to Michigan on Wednesday. The situation at the Blue Water Bridge connecting Sarnia, Ontario, to Port Huron, Michigan, isn’t much better, with reported delays of at least 41/2 hours.

Breaking: Police Say Enforcement is Imminent on Border Blockade

UPDATE: An earlier version of this story said enforcement was likely in Coutts. That enforcement action is related to Milk River.

Truckers and farmers have been intermittently blocking the border since Sunday, January 30, after they began protesting public health restrictions at the Coutts border crossing on January 29.

The protest is part of a nationwide movement of truckers and their supporters that have banded together for freedom from COVID-19 restrictions, including an end to cross-border vaccine mandates for truck drivers.

Rebel News reporter Adam Soos has been on the ground in Milk River since Monday night where a crowd has amassed to show support for the blockade in Coutts. Supporters are being obstructed by police from travelling to Coutts, which is 20km away.

Police have said the blockade of the main crossing between Alberta and Montana is illegal.

Cantin-Nantel: Quebecers Are Rallying Behind the Freedom Convoy

I have been on the ground covering the Freedom Convoy protests in Ottawa for the last two weekends, and I noticed that about half the protesters are Quebec francophones.

Despite having one of the highest vaccination rates among provinces, Quebec has the strictest COVID-19 restrictions in Canada. Its government response to the latest Omicron wave was also one of the harshest in the Western world.

Some of the restrictions the Quebec government has imposed on its people include hospitality and fitness lockdowns, vaccine mandates that limit access to groceries, and a harsh, police-enforced curfew.

Convoy Supporters: ‘This is How You Beat the Globalists — With Love’

Last Friday morning, the Ottawa Police Service announced that they were going to employ an initiative against the Freedom Convoy and their supporters, something they called a “surge and contain” strategy.

It seemed to many observers that law enforcement was about to flex its muscles and somehow shut down the Ottawa protest.

Alas, it looks like when it comes to the Ottawa Police Service, its bark is worse than its bite (not that demonstrators are complaining, mind you.)

In any event, there was no “surge” by law enforcement; there was no “containment.”

Indeed it’s business as usual in Ottawa when it comes to the protest: big rigs are everywhere in the downtown core — and if you’re in an area of the city where you can’t see them, rest assured you can certainly hear them.

How Anti-Vaccine Protests in Ottawa Sparked Windsor Demonstrations

What started as a protest against vaccine mandates morphed into something else. It turned into a traffic jam, a trade blockade of pickups and semi-trucks driven by their anti-mandate owners, shutting down truck traffic at the Ambassador Bridge for another day.

CBC Windsor News reporter and anchor Chris Ensing says the protests at the Ambassador Bridge builds off of the protests in Ottawa as well as a culmination of events that’s happened in Windsor Essex the past couple of weeks. He’s also in trouble for not keeping the peace related to conditions of a prior arrest. He didn’t blow up any pipelines, not that he ever would. He didn’t block an ambulance from going to a hospital. He didn’t call in a bomb threat to the airport.

Trudeau Slams ‘Unacceptable’ Protests as Police Warn Truckers

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has hit out at protests by truckers around the country as “unacceptable”.

Speaking to parliament in Ottawa, he defended the Covid restrictions that have prompted truckers to converge on the nation’s capital.

“It has to stop.”

Inspired by Canadian Protests, French ‘Freedom Convoy’ Gets Underway

NICE, FRANCE — Protesters gathered in southern France on Wednesday for what they say will be a “freedom convoy” that will converge on Paris and Brussels to demand an end to COVID-19 restrictions, inspired by protesters who have blocked a Canadian border crossing.

About 200 protesters assembled in a parking lot in Nice, on France’s Mediterranean coast, with many displaying Canadian flags in a nod to the truckers in Canada who are protesting their government’s COVID-19 restrictions.

The protesters in Nice said they planned to head first to Paris, then on to Brussels — headquarters of the European Union — to demand, among other things, the scrapping of rules barring people from public venues if they don’t have a COVID-19 vaccination.

Secularists Demand Removal of Virgin Mary Statue in French Village

A statue of the Virgin Mary located in the middle of a crossroads in a small French village has become the subject of controversy after secularist association, La Libre Pensée, took legal action citing a historic law which prohibits the installation of religious monuments on public property.

The statue sits enthroned at the entrance to the small village of La Flotte-en-Ré, situated on the western coast of France, but the statue of the Virgin Mary is the subject of legal action in the name of secularism. The controversy dates back to May 2020 when a motorist hit and severely damaged the statue. The Town Hall subsequently decided to rebuild it identically.

When the statue was restored to its original condition, La Libre Pensée filed a complaint at the regional Poitiers administrative court. The president of the association relied upon a law dating back to 1905 which prohibits the installation of monuments of a religious nature in public places.

India: Non-Muslim Students Are Vehemently Opposing ‘Hijab Pollution’ in the Educational Sphere in Karnataka

Karnataka hijab row: CM Bommai orders closure of schools and colleges for 3 days.

The Karnataka high court will resume at 2:30pm on Wednesday a plea against denial of entry to hijab-clad students in schools and colleges.

B Upendran | HENB | Bengaluru | Feb 8, 2022:: Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday announced all high schools and colleges in the state will remain closed for the next three days as controversy over students wearing hijab on campus intensified, with violence reported from several districts. Hindu students are demonstrating in school and colleges at various places wearing saffron shawls to allow it or to stop hijabs in the educational institutions. There is a major escalation in Karnataka over Hijab row as protests and counter-protests have spread across the state.

This is the first time, when non-Muslim students are vehemently opposing ‘Hijab pollution’ in the educational sphere in Karnataka.

“I appeal to all the students, teachers and management of schools and colleges as well as people of Karnataka to maintain peace and harmony. I have ordered closure of all high schools and colleges for the next three days. All concerned are requested to cooperate,” Bommai tweeted.

“We’re awaiting directions from the Karnataka high court. I appeal to students to maintain peace and harmony. I’ve directed school administration to see there’re no clashes among students. Appeal to all persons concerned from outside not to make provocative statements,” Bommai was earlier quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

The opposition Congress, too, had requested the Karnataka government to shut educational institutes to restore law and order. “The situation in some Karnataka educational institutions has gone so out of hand that in one case the National flag was replaced by a saffron flag. I think the affected institutions should be closed for a week to restore law and order. Teaching can continue online,” DK Shivakumar, the Karnataka Congress president, tweeted.

The Karnataka high court, meanwhile, took up the petition challenging denial of entry to hijab-clad students in schools and colleges, observing that students indulging in violence ‘is not a good thing.’

Expressing full faith in the wisdom and virtue of the public at large, the court said it will resume hearing at 2:30pm on Wednesday.

The controversy of Hijab Row in Karnataka involved many. When Bollywood pimp Swara Bhasker and Nobel winner Malala Yousafzai supported the cause of Hijab, many in the social media protested the Islamic excesses in the Educational field all along.

In a tweet eminent Hindu interlocutor and Hindu Existence Editor, Upananda Brahmachari conveyed, “Islamists try to camouflage themselves in many ways. Hijab wearing and Namaz offering in schools and colleges are nothing but an attempt to Islamize the Educational campus under a radical design. That must be stopped. Karnataka HC must take a strong step”.

Disclaimer on Bible Quote at Berlin Palance Earns Praise From Germany’s Far-Left Culture Minister

German State Culture Minister and former Green Party leader Claudia Roth was pleased that a quotation from the Bible on the Berlin Palace is to be remade and placed in “context.”

“The inscription is now to be contextualized in the Humboldt Forum. I think that it is the bare minimum. The Humboldt Forum is not the Vatican,” the politician told the FAZ in an interview.

The quote currently stands under the Berlin Palace on Museum Island in the neighborhood of Mitte. The palace was destroyed during the Second World War and only recently reconstructed in 2020, and the quote that historically stood at the famed landmark read:

“There is salvation in no other way, no other name is given to men, but in the name of Jesus, to the glory of God the Father. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, which are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”

10 thoughts on “Gates of Vienna News Feed 2/9/2022

  1. The giant distances Canadian truckers are covering deserve recognition.
Vancouver to Ottawa is further than London UK to Aleppo, Syria.

  2. 1- This trucker protest is a desperate move by Canadians to get their Freedom and country back. It is a way of telling the truth. It goes deeper than just lifting corona virus mandates.

    2. Western media are just part of the current cabinet. They facilitate their respective country’s policies. They are spokesmedia for falsehoods and lying politicians. They gloss over their faults and crimes. They dare not expose their employers even if marines get killed in Benghazi.

    3. Vaccines are not only useless but they kill. Proven by now. Even a layman can discern that. Plus many virologists ( Daniel Negase, and many others have explained things that even laymen can understand):

    4. UN … instead of creating peace among western countries, it creates conditions for war by invading naïve western countries (which are without any will or govs. ) by muslims, who have overwhelmed UN by sheer number of their control of UN and petrol money buying the weak, unprincipled west.

    5. Western hypocrisy: The west is doing something about the climate change, pollution, … etc. At the same time they are bringing millions of muslims to the west , that is millions of cars and other pollution( sewage, toilets, rape, crimes and their concomitant problems ( more garbage, less houses for natives, housing soaring prices as in BC, more mosques, more attacks on Jews, more expenses on prisons housing jihadis, more churches demolished to be replaces by mosques, more greenlands usurped and covered by jihadi cemeteries, more ilhans at the helms of western stupidity.

    6. Bill Gates predicted in 2015 that viruses will appear at will, when required.

    7. Western rulers work against their people’s interests. They take their clues from Klus Scwab, Aoros, … We thought Davos meeting were conducted to solve western problem not to destroy the west by muslim envisions.

    8. UN was established to keep peace esp. in Europe. Now it’s the instrument to destroy it. Ironic.

    • The entire policy of the West is saturated with lies, demagogy, meanness and cynicism. They have full confidence in their impunity.
All American ambitions, like the entire economy, are built on trust in the US. If trust ends, West World economy will be blown away.

    • Can anybody clarify this situation ? Regards from Poland !

Clarification is easy: half of those Jews are self-haters. The other half have high ranking positions because they are qualified. But they cannot act without permission from those around them even if they are junior in rank. That’s the bitter fact.

The real actors and shakers in the American policies are are Ilhan Omar and Rachida Tlaib. Ilhan sends mollions of $$$ to Somalia every year. USA takes its orders from Pakistan, Turkey … their masters . Go figure!

Have asked yourself why Poland’s population was33 million in 1939 and 30 million in 1945?

Did you read the above articles about the beautified Italian woman? Did the Jews tell the Italiano Politicians to invite those jihadis to italy?

Did ask yourself why Brussels is 54% muslim? and they are hostages in a country that used to be their own?

Do you know why Brussels was called cockpit?

Do you ask yourself why Sweden the progressive is the capital of rape?

      Have you heard about Kristallnacht?

Do you know that countries on the Mediterranean couldn’t sleep from the corsairs? clarify : muslim pirates the follower of the greatest Pirate of other religion’s doctrines.

Just go to Britain’s Oxford Station and Piccadilly Plaza . Are you in Britain or Afghanistan?

No, I am not a Jew.

    • Leftist marxist jews or as I call them, box car jews are the reason why everywhere they rear their ugly leftist insanity, they all end up in camps, pogroms, inquisitions and purges. Even that evil bastard Beria and his boss before him(all communist jews) got what they richly deserved. I don’t hate Jews as a people or Israel as a country, in fact I admire them for their sucess. However, the marxist left amongst them makes it hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.

  3. And now we are having fun and even getting hot. Yesterday, 3 Tajiks and one Kyrgyz robbed a store and killed a female cashier. Recently in Samara, three Tajik larvae kicked an 8-year-old girl for being Russian. And a lot more that happens – every day some resonant case.

Now there is a huge wave of hatred against migrants. And sometimes at the level of the highest politicians. Some deputies even call for expulsion of migrant children from schools.

The population disperses to the barricades. Everyone glows with hatred, like tea with Polonium. History is being made.
    —————————-
By the way, the other day there was an article (translated from Swedish) about the alleged “abduction” of Muslim children by special services.

Here is a very extensive analysis on the subject… in Norwegian. Well, if Google perfectly translated it into Russian, then it will translate it into English even better. I think so.
