Air Force Ordered to Pay More Than $230m in Sutherland Springs Church Shooting

The U.S. Air Force must pay more than $230 million in damages to survivors and victims’ families of a 2017 Texas church massacre for failing to flag a conviction that might have kept the gunman from legally buying the weapon used in the shooting, a federal judge ruled Monday.

More than two dozen people were killed when Devin Patrick Kelley opened fire during a Sunday service at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. Kelley, who died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after being shot and chased by two men who heard the gunfire at the church, had served in the Air Force before the attack.

U.S. District Judge Xavier Rodriguez had ruled in July that the Air Force was “60% liable” for the attack because it failed to submit Kelley’s assault conviction during his time in the Air Force to a national database.

A South Texas church began a fresh chapter of worship on Sunday as it unveiled a new sanctuary a year and a half after a gunman opened fire and killed more than two dozen congregants in the deadliest mass shooting in state history…

Bills Introduced in Kentucky General Assembly Over Teaching of Critical Race Theory

FRANFORT, KY (WCHS) — Debate over how to teach students about their country’s history and race relations has now reached the Kentucky General Assembly.

Two bills before the Kentucky General Assembly would keep concepts like critical race theory from being taught in schools. House Bill 14 and House Bill 18 would ensure that no public school or public charter school offers any classroom instruction or discussion that promotes designed concepts related to race, sex and religion.

“What I want my kids to be taught is just authentic facts as far as history goes,” Missy Willis, a parent, said.

Pfizer Quietly Adds Language Warning That ‘Unfavorable Pre-Clinical, Clinical or Safety Data’ May Impact Business

Two weeks ago, the FDA begged a Texas judge to delay production on the first monthly batch of 55,000 pages of Covid-19 vaccine data submitted to the agency by Pfizer. Originally, the agency was set to produce just 500 pages-per-month.

Now, Pfizer — which just forecast $54 billion in Covid-related sales in 2022, appears to be anticipating some bad news, as evidenced by several redline changes in their Q4 earnings releases.

As Rubicon Capital’s Kelly Brown notes on Twitter, the changes center around disclosures of unfavorable safety data.

For example, in Q4 they added: “or further information regarding the quality of pre-clinical, clinical or safety data, including by audit or inspection.”

Unsealed Court Docs Reveal Google Geofence Warrants Used in Kenosha

Unsealed court documents in a federal court revealed that the FBI sent Google a geofence warrant in an effort to catch the suspects of an attempted arson of a police union building in Seattle. The attempted arson was part of the riots following the shooting of Jacob Blake by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

A day after the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, and amid protests all over the country, two people hurled Molotov cocktails at the back entrance of Seattle Police Officers Guild (SPOG) headquarters. The attempted arson allegedly caused minimum damage.

As part of the investigation, the Seattle Police officers offered $1,000 in reward for tips. Later, the FBI offered $20,000 for information that could break the case.

Geofence warrants are highly controversial as, due to most people using Google, the data of anyone that is in an area at a given time, including innocent people, gets handed over to police.

Virginia Senate Democrats Join Republicans in Passing Amendment Barring School Mask Mandates

Ten of the 21 Democrats in the state Senate voted for the amendment, which was initially brought forward by Virginia Sen. Chap Petersen (D).

The vote follows criticism from Democrats over Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s executive order, signed on his first day in office, that made masks optional in schools.

Petersen said he agrees with Youngkin’s conclusion that masks should be optional in schools but that the decision should be made by the legislature rather than by executive order.

Eight-Year-Old Child With Sensory Issues Excluded From School Over Masking

Kids only get one childhood. This may seem like a self-evident sentiment, but it is apparently one that politicians, health-bureaucrats and schools boards alike have forgotten.

As though it wasn’t bad enough that students have missed tons of class time and extracurricular activities, and a great deal of the associated socialization that comes with it, but when they are permitted to gather, they are distanced and masked in a way that will undoubtedly have an impact on their development. All of this is made so much worse by the fact that youth have such minimal adverse outcomes if and when they do get sick with Covid-19.

Dan Phair reached out to us because his eight-year-old daughter has been excluded from her in school education entirely because she is unable to wear a mask. The Phairs did everything by the book to ensure their daughter, who has sensory issues and cannot have anything on her face, did not miss out on school. They had a doctor’s note outlining their daughter’s medical exemption and managed to get through 2021 without issue, but when 2022 rolled around the school insisted that the 2021 doctor’s note was no longer valid and that a new note had to be acquired.

Unfortunately, Alberta Health Services has created an environment of fear for doctors.

Pierre Poilievre Hopes to be the New Conservative Leader — and Freedom Convoy Supporters Rejoice

Recently, Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre announced that he would indeed seek the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada. The announcement came in the wake of former leader, Erin “Flipper” O’Toole, being ousted by his caucus (For our money, that was the best palace coup to occur since Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown was frogmarched out of Queen’s Park back in January 2018.)

Surely, the axing of O’Toole and the decision by Poilievre to run for the top job can be directly linked to the Freedom Convoy protest taking place in Ottawa. So much for those detractors who claim this demonstration on Parliament Hill has not resulted in any tangible results.

And get this: 100% of respondents we interviewed were happy to see O’Toole get the axe while 100% were happy to see Poilievre run for the top job at the CPC.

Protests Against Vaccine Mandates in Yorkton Tuesday

As protests against vaccine mandates and public health measures continue in Ottawa and across the nation, a large group gathered in Yorkton Tuesday, in solidarity.

One of the organizers, John Graff, says the protests won’t stop until the mandates end, noting the world is watching, and Canada’s system is in the spotlight.

He says that the ongoing protests across the country are not made up of a “small, fringe minority” adding that the ongoing protests across the nation are a sign of not only frustration, but desperation, that a growing number of Canadians see a “free Canada disappearing.”

Graff says today’s gathering in Yorkton, and similar events in other east central communities, are in support of two area businesses which are in court today, charged with disobeying provincial public health orders.

Czech President Commits to Approving Government’s Amended Pandemic Law

Czech President Milos Zeman will sign a new version of the pandemic law which the Chamber of Deputies recently approved, according to reports.

The government has defended the need for the legislation by introducing possible additional anti-coronavirus measures. The bill is now heading to the Senate with President Zeman promising to sign it if it passes.

“I will sign the law, but only after the amendments,” he told media on Sunday.

Regarding the original version, there were concerns expressed that the pandemic law would apply indefinitely and there were question as to why the quarantine of individuals could only be declared by text message.

In Sunday’s interview, Zeman also commented on the protests against the amendment, where the mock-up gallows emerged, accompanied by the inscription: “All traitors and their minions will end up on the gallows.”

The police concluded the gallows protest was not a criminal offense but did ask the creator to remove it. According to Zeman, the police should have been more strict and called for the demonstrators to be punished by imprisonment.

‘On My Own Terms’: Why Vaccine Mandate Protesters Are in Canberra

Bundaberg’s Richelle Evergreen received her Bachelor of Education in the mail this week but as far as she’s concerned it’s just a fancy piece of paper that cost thousands of dollars and close to six years of part-time study.

Ms Evergreen travelled to Canberra on Wednesday to protest against COVID-19 mandates as part of the Convoy To Canberra. She said she’s lost the support of her family over her decision to not get vaccinated against COVID-19, and views the protest as her way of standing up to “segregation” in Australia. While there’s an array of people with a range of beliefs, Ms Evergreen said they’re all united in wanting to end compulsory vaccination.

Don’t worry about the Germans, soon, as things go south the military will step in, just like they will in France and do what they always do when invaded.
