As Inflation Hits 30-Year High, UK Households Start to Buckle

ASHFORD, England, Feb 22 (Reuters) — After work in the evenings, Nicola Frape turns off the heating and huddles under a blanket with her daughter and a hot water bottle. Adding a layer costs nothing, she says, but leaving the boiler on drains her inflation-hit bank account.

Treats such as cinema tickets have been scrapped as the 38 year-old care worker’s food and fuel bills climb, and she has tried to cancel her pay-TV service but cannot get through to her provider: she assumes everyone is doing the same thing.

Frape is one of millions of normally financially comfortable Britons who are facing a cost-of-living crisis as a double-whammy of accelerating inflation — driven by soaring energy bills — and tax increases kicks in this year.

Fast-rising prices are inflicting what the Bank of England says will be the biggest one-year fall in disposable income, adjusted for inflation, in at least 30 years.

Harvard Law Professor Says Tucker Carlson Guilty of “Treason” For Criticizing Biden Over Russia

Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe suggested that Fox News host Tucker Carlson could be guilty of “treason” for giving “aid and comfort” to Russia, before hastily backpedaling and deleting his tweets.

The author made the assertion on the eve of the news that Vladimir Putin had recognized the independent states of Luhansk and Donetsk and sent in troops on a “peacekeeping” mission.

“Led by Fox News Channels’ Tucker Carlson, the GOP’s Trump wing appears to be throwing its weight behind Putin,” Tribe tweeted.

“If Putin opts to wage war on our ally, Ukraine, such ‘aid and comfort’ to an ‘enemy’ would appear to become ‘treason’ as defined by Article III of the US Constitution,” he added.

Man Charged With Murder in Fatal Shooting at Oregon Racial Justice Protest

An Oregon man accused of killing one person and injuring five after opening fire on demonstrators in Portland was charged Tuesday with murder and other crimes, authorities said.

Benjamin Smith, 43, was charged with second-degree murder, four counts of attempted murder and multiple counts of assault, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office said in a statement.

The statement said Smith allegedly “confronted a group of people engaged” in a demonstration protesting the death of Amir Locke, a Black Minneapolis man who was fatally shot by tactical officers carrying out a “no-knock” warrant last month.

Citing video evidence, the prosecutor’s office said Smith allegedly told protesters who had gathered at a park northeast of downtown Portland on Saturday to leave the area.

“Several participants asked Smith to leave them alone,” the statement says. “Moments later, Smith drew a firearm and fired at the crowd, striking five people.”

The shooting ended after someone returned fire, hitting Smith in the hip area, the statement says. Smith remained hospitalized in critical condition, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said earlier Tuesday…

Canadian Embassy in U.S. Paying Consultants to Woo ‘Thought Leaders’ After Invoking Emergencies Act

Eight days ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau employed the never-before-used Emergencies Act to crackdown on peaceful protesters in Ottawa who were in Canada’s capital for nearly four weeks as part of a nationwide convoy movement in opposition to remaining COVID-19 restrictions.

The Act gives the government extraordinary powers to arrest demonstrators and seize assets, trucks, and bank accounts of those involved in anti-government protests.

The plan to distract from the Emergencies Act, first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter Monday morning, coincided with mainstream media skepticism of the Trudeau Liberals’ use of the Act.

The scheme involves a payment of $36,000 to a U.S. consultant S-3 Group LLC of Cortland, New York to “design a strategy” to promote Canada on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The firm must “enhance the public profile of the work done at the Embassy of Canada and consulates in various territories across the United States.”

Interview: Last Trucker Left in Ottawa Explains Why His Truck Was Towed — From Private Property

Meet Jim Zinger of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Jim drove his big rig into Ottawa some three weeks ago to take part in the Freedom Convoy, which was unceremoniously dismantled by law enforcement last weekend.

As law enforcement descended upon the convoy assembled on Wellington Street, many truckers drove off on their own accord. Those rigs that remained were towed away.

But here’s the thing when it comes to Jim Zinger’s truck: it was not illegally parked on an Ottawa road; it was not blocking traffic; he was not blaring his horn. Rather, the vehicle was legally parked at a privately-owned parking lot. Jim was paying for the spot, and the lot owner did not request for the vehicle to be removed. What’s more, during the three weeks that Jim’s rig was parked, it had been severely vandalized.

Germany Celebrates Karl Marx, The Father of New Europe

According to Deutsche Welle, the German Historic Museum has prepared an exhibition about Karl Marx as a constantly relevant thinker who was “ahead of his time in at least five different areas.” In short, it presents Marx as the father of our times.

Information about the exhibition praises Marx as the founder of social policy, a critic of capitalism and a cosmopolitan. Yes, it does note that Soviet totalitarianism and the East German collaboration system referred to Marx and that his works were of an anti-Semitic character, but declares those issues to no longer be relevant to his legacy.

The USSR had fallen, the GDR (so called German Democratic Republic — the communist state established by Soviets in East Germany) is gone, and anti-Semitism is usually condemned. The rest is deemed as “interesting.”

Czech Government Stands Behind a Free Ukraine, Accuses Russia of Wanting New USSR

Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has confirmed the Czech Republic stands behind a free and independent Ukraine and warned that history shows Europe that aggression against sovereign neighboring states does not lead to peace.

The Czech leader criticized Russian acts of aggression, stressing that Czechia supports a unified EU response. Fiala was joined by other high-profile Czech politicians in condemning what he says is the Russian move to recreate the Soviet Union, with the Czech Foreign Ministry commenting on Russia’s recognition of the self-proclaimed republics in Ukraine.

Polish PM Calls Russia’s Action in Ukraine an ‘Act of Aggression, ‘ Demands Urgent Meeting of European Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Monday evening which entailed Russia officially recognizing the two self-proclaimed separatist republics in eastern Ukraine.

“I deem it necessary to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics,” Putin said in a statement.

The move paved the way to provide the separatist republics with military support, and Putin has ordered troops into two rebel-held republics under an alleged “peacekeeping mission.”

Russia Inks Recognition of Donbass Regions

The justification for the Donbass population to declare independence and ask for protection from Russia, is because Ukraine has continued its aggression against the two autonomous regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an agreement with the leaders of the two republics respectively on February 21, officially accepting the demise of the Minsk Agreement which Ukraine — a signatory — had failed to implement. By formally recognizing the two independent regions, Ukraine (like Yugoslovia) will be divided into three separate republics.

The TRUTH About Ukraine

Arming rebels and occupying territory as a pretext to invade and topple governments is only bad when Russia does it.

When NATO does exactly the same thing, with disastrous consequences, it’s virtuous and noble.

Ukraine: Zelensky Seeks End to Russia Diplomatic Ties After Hinting at Pursuing Nuclear Weapons

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Tuesday that he was reviewing a request from his diplomats to cut all ties to Russia in response to Russian leader Vladimir Putin recognizing Russian proxies in the country as sovereign states and ordering “peacekeeping” troops into Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, colonizing its southern Crimea region and investing heavily, evidence suggests, in pro-Russian separatists in the Donbas region. Russia openly considers Crimea part of its sovereign territory but has previously denied being involved in Donbas. On Monday, Putin announced that he would recognize the two regions that together comprise Donbas, Donetsk and Luhansk, as sovereign states, and honor a request from their “governments” for Russian military support against Ukraine.

India: Karnataka: Six Muslim Youths Arrested in Connection With the Murder of Hindutva Worker of Bajrang Dal in Shivamogga

The murder of 26-year-old Harsha Nagara led to arson and stone-throwing in Karnataka’s Shivamogga during the funeral procession on Monday afternoon.

R Sathish | HENB | Shivamogga | Feb 22, 2022:: The Karnataka Police on Tuesday arrested a total of six people and questioned a dozen more in connection with the murder of a Bajrang Dal worker in Shivamogga district, news agency ANI reported.

Section 144 of CrPC, which bars the assembly of five or more people in an area, has been extended by two more days till Friday morning, said Dr. Selvamani R, Deputy Commissioner, Shivamogga district. Schools will remain shut during this period, he added.

The murder of 26-year-old Harsha Nagara (alias Hindu Harsha or Harsha Bajrangi) led to arson and stone-throwing in the city during the funeral procession on Monday afternoon. He died after he was attacked by a gang of youths that waylaid him when he stepped out of his home in the communally sensitive area on Sunday night.

The arrested six accused have been identified as Mohammed Kashif, Sayed Nadeem, Afsifullah Khan, Rehan Sharef, Nihan, Abdul Afnan, Shivamogga SP Laxmi Prassad said.

Although a social media post with ‘derogatory’ references to Islam ‘relating to Hijab’ has been attributed as a possible motive for the murder, sources described it as an “old issue” and said that a case had been filed against Harsha when the communal clashes occurred between Hindus and Muslims in 2020.

According to local police records, Harsha was involved in multiple cases of violence, including an incident of rioting in December 2020, when merchants at a cloth market in the city were attacked by a mob of pro-Hindutva activists following a communal flare-up. As a matter of fact, Harsha have been trying till he breathed last for a Hindu resistance against the growing Jihadi upheaval in Shivamogga areas.

Amidst the Hijab row in many parts of the state, the murder of Hindu activist Harsha Nagara by Jihadi goons sparked a new communal situation in BJP ruled Karnataka.

Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashoka said the murder has a link with the ongoing Hijab row in the state. “This murder happened when the Hijab controversy started. It is evident that there is a link between this murder and the Hijab row,” Ashoka said.

World Economic Forum Pushes Digital ID System That Will Determine Access to Services

The World Economic Forum (WEF), an international organization that works to “shape global, regional and industry agendas,” recently published its latest dystopian proposal — a far-reaching digital ID system that will collect as much data as possible on individuals and then use this data to determine their level of access to various services.

This digital ID proposal is outlined in a report titled “Advancing Digital Agency: The Power of Data Intermediaries” and builds upon a digital ID framework that the WEF has published previously.

Global Survey Shows That Many Believe COVID-19 Pandemic Was Staged

Large parts of the globe believe the Covid-19 pandemic was staged. They are convinced that the Coronavirus was created by “some powerful forces” while others even think that the virus does not exist.

In a survey by YouGov, more than 25 000 people in 24 countries were questioned about the “conspiracy theories” related to the Coronavirus.

Across all 24 countries, on a list of the twelve most popular beliefs, the top theory was that a single group of people had secretly controlled events, outside of official governments.

“Support for this theory was particularly prevalent in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, with 72 percent, 69 percent and 61 percent respectively saying they thought it was definitely or probably true,” the researchers noted. At least another 27 percent of South Africans said they did not know whether it was true or false.

In India, 30 percent of (urban) respondents professed to sharing this view on the pandemic. Indonesia also stood out here, with 20 percent subscribing to the notion.

This belief was least common in Japan, Sweden, Great Britain and Denmark, where the results were between three and five percent.

  1. “Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that his country is moving towards denying operational permission for Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline.”

Yes, Germany, geniuses, cut your nose.

Hatred of the west for Russia exceeds that of muslims and Europeans towards Jews.

No, Europe never learn a lesson. Just indulge in wars and then Blame Hitlers.

How com there is no one semblance of human being with one iota of brains.

If one Italian had one iota they would not surrender their country to islam.

If one German had one iota they would not surrender their country to islam.

If one Swedish had one iota they would not surrender their country to islam.

If one Briton had one iota of brains or honor, they would not surrender their country to islam.

Doesn’t Europe know that the Ukraine “crisis” is manufactured?

Proof: Russia let Ukraine be independent. But Ukraine is inviting NATO, Turkey, Chechnyan’s. It is ok if muslims rape them and demand jizya.

Soviet Union was hated because of communism. A big lie.

Disgraced in Afghanistan and Suddenly an amazing one-sided passionate love emanated from the west towards Afghanistan.

During Oslo Accord Norway coerced Israel to compromise to reach a peace agreement brokered by the naive humanist Norwegians.

Did they dare to force any compromise on Palestinians? No

Can scandinavians (falsely known for peace and progress) Can they tell the truth and ask NATO to stop its aggressive initiation of war.

You cannot defend your nation and family without honor:

Lose your life better than getting spat at and losing your honor.

Give me honor or give me death. Hey feminists say something about
spitting at this lady. Dare you? It’s different here, ye.

    different religions. Different attitudes.

    • “Soviet Union was hated because of communism. A big lie.”

I’d have thought that was a pretty good reason in itself. The late conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein, who was of Ukrainian-Jewish ancestry, was known for espousing left-wing causes (while remaining always a staunch supporter of Israel), so much so that the US government withdrew his passport in the McCarthy era (along with Paul Robeson, who really was a communist). Yet, after taking the New York Philharmonic on tour in the USSR in 1959, he said that while he’d previously liked the people but disliked the regime, he now loved the people but detested the regime. Are you defending its successor, or have I misunderstood?

    • Like every good dog they listen to their masters voice.
More or less like the rest of Europe, with a few exceptions.

Already the forerunner of the EU was founded by the OSS (CIA), the Rockefeller- and Ford Foundation
      http://www.google.at/search?q=american+comittee+of+united+europe

The EU was and still is the civil arm of the NATO.
That’s also the reason why every nation joined NATO before joining the EU.
With the exception of the neutral countries Austria, Finland and Sweden.
But of course unofficially they were always part of the game.

  2. It seems like I remember some other country that invaded a neighbor to “protect” ethnic minorities that spoke the same language as the invading country. Now who was that? Let me think. Maybe the invader country started with a ‘G’ and the invaded started with a ‘C’? Oh, yeah, and I think the invaded ‘land’ was also know as ‘Sudeten’ something.

What’s that saying about history? It doesn’t repeat but it rhymes?

    • Nope. There was no 8 years of shelling and destroying and Czech militia murdering the German-speaking people in the Sudeten. There were no pregnant women and children torn to pieces by Czech bombs. Get your history straight.

Plus, there was no history of that land belonging to Germany. Ever.

    • Lenin was Jewish, Stalin was Georgian, Khrushchev, Brezhnev and Andropov were Ukrainian, Chernenko was half-Ukrainian and Gorbachev was mixed Russian and Ukrainian.

      • Lenin was either one-eighth or one-sixteenth Jewish. Unless I misunderstand them, Lenin would not even have been considered Jewish under the Nuremberg Laws.

        • As far as I know Lenin’s mother was Jewish (a Christian convert), his father mixed Kalmyk-Russian.
Of course I can be wrong – but anyway, my point was that the Soviet leadership was by no means dominated by ethnic Russians.

          • Yeah. Starting with the Holsteiners who usurped the throne.

And if you look at the faces of the “red commissars” we will see very characteristic profiles from the “Pale of Settlement”

  3. “Tamara Lich, one of the jailed leaders of the Freedom Convoy protests in Ottawa, has been denied bail by a judge in Ontario.”

Of course the fat Antifa-guy who drove his car into demonstrators to kill them did get bailed out.

  4. Oh [expletive] what’s going on.
Rosemary’s child should have been killed when he was still small.
