Ukraine is the Financial Waterloo of the West

The Ukraine Is The Financial Waterloo Of The West. Russia Bets On Gold And Crypto. The West Destroys Itself While Seeking Whom It Might Devour

As recounted in the 2015 film ‘The Big Short’, in 2008 (and a few years before that) people were buying houses with no money down and no job; there were literally —no— standards that they had to meet except to be able to breathe and sign the loan application. This malfeasance of oversight, business practice and the leverage thereof ultimately became a large part of the undoing of the world financial system in 2008.

Fast forward to our current era. In early 2020 the Federal Reserve disclosed …’As announced on March 15, 2020, the Board reduced reserve requirement ratios to zero percent effective March 26, 2020. This action eliminated reserve requirements for all depository institutions.’…

So starting at that point just two years ago, the banks of the United States were now able to run their business without having to satisfy the long standing reserve requirement of maintaining 10% of their deposits. They could operate with no safety net (no reserve requirement)… So just as the banks relieved individuals of the burden of meeting any criteria in order to participate in the housing market in 2008, in our current era, the Federal Reserve has relieved the depository institutions under its umbrella of maintaining a buffer to make sure they …’possess enough liquidity for withdrawals and obligations and for withstanding the impact of unforeseen market conditions.’…

In other words in 2022 it is 2008 all over again, but worse. In 2008 it was the mortgage business that was allowed act like drunken privileged teenagers who had their rich parents to bail them out via TAARP. In 2008 there was at least a reserve requirement in place to not stop the financial crisis, but it at least played a part in the mitigation of the emergency (some banks needed the money and some did not even though they took it). In 2022 there is no reserve requirement for the banks. So when things go (are going) wrong where is the provision (reserve) for ‘withstanding the impact of unseen market conditions’?

In 1929 margin requirements to buy stock were 10%; in other words $100 bought $1,000 of stock-great when stocks are going up and catastrophic on the way down. That’s why in modern times the margin requirements have typically been 50%. When moral constraints are removed from a market (like the Fed removing the banks’ reserve requirement) the outcome cannot be beneficial to the public. The US financial system is destroying itself…

Amazon Drops BLM From Its Charity Program

Organizations that don’t meet the requirements listed in the agreement may have their eligibility suspended or revoked. Charities can request to be reinstated once they are back in good standing.”

Busted: Joy Behar Goes Maskless in NYC Eatery After Vowing to Wear Masks in Public ‘Indefinitely’

After “The View” co-host Joy Behar vowed to wear a mask in public “indefinitely,” she was photographed maskless dining in a New York City restaurant.

The Post Millennial‘s editor-in-chief Libby Emmons pointed out the hypocrisy on Twitter with pictures of Behar unmasked in a booth at the eatery with friends.

“Joy Behar said she was going to mask in public places ‘indefinitely’ because it’s just not safe. Except for last night out at this restaurant, apparently,” Emmons tweeted Friday afternoon, adding: “I hear that she also walked out of the restaurant unmasked, though her companions dutifully donned theirs.”

Cultural Shift: Nearly Two-Thirds of Americans Oppose New Gun Control Laws

Submitted by The Machine Gun Nest (TMGN).

It seems the fallout from the insanity of 2020 continues to stay in the public’s mind. Even a year out from the panic buying craziness, riots, movement to defund the police, and the election of Joe Biden, Americans seem to have a new take on gun control.

According to a new poll, 63% of Americans support enforcing current gun laws instead of passing new gun control into law.

DHS Says it Scans Social Media for “Misinformation” But Not “Constitutionally Protected Speech”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is doubling down on a recently revealed policy of tying the issue of domestic terrorism with online “misinformation,” as well as keeping an extra eye on trucker protests.

The document derived from an event that spelled all this out first appeared on February 7 as a bulletin, detailing the allegedly heightened threats the US is facing — not least because of “an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories.”

Around 2 a.m. on Feb. 19 the victim entered a local business in Ithaca and reported that he had been stabbed.

The victim later stated he was stabbed by a black male, but gave no further description, police say, and was stabbed in the parking lot of West Village Place.

Hinsdale District 86 Makes Masks Optional as Gov. JB Pritzker Takes Fight to Illinois Supreme Court

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) — Governor JB Pritzker is taking the fight over school mask mandates to the Illinois Supreme Court. The move comes after an appellate court ruling cleared the way for more schools to make face coverings optional.

What the court’s decision effectively does is leave the decision on face coverings to local school officials.

The overnight ruling by an Illinois appellate court to dismiss Pritzker’s appeal involving the school mask mandate has prompted school districts, like Des Plaines District 63, to move to mask options. Other districts may also follow.

Friday night, Hinsdale District 86 revisited the mask issue in light of the appellate court ruling. In a special meeting, the board approved a motion to make masks optional.

Jeffrey Epstein’s Pimp Jean-Luc Brunel ‘Hangs Himself Alone in Paris Jail With No CCTV’…

[…]Ghislaine Maxwell’s family ‘shocked and scared for her’ as man who procured 1,000 women for paedophile financier dies days after Andrew deal

Ghislaine Maxwell’s family have said they are ‘scared’ for her safety after Jeffrey Epstein’s French modelling agent friend Jean-Luc Brunel, who allegedly procured more than a thousand women and girls for the paedophile financier to sleep with, died today in an alleged prison suicide.

Prosecutors in Paris confirmed Brunel, who is not believed to have been on suicide watch, was found hanging in his cell in La Santé, in the south of the capital city, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It comes days after Prince Andrew, 62, agreed to settle Virginia Roberts’s lawsuit accusing him of sex abuse after they met allegedly through Epstein and Maxwell. In the settlement, there was no admission of liability by Andrew, who has always denied the specific allegations.

Seattle Bartender Was Slashed in the Face, Judge Released the Suspect Without Bail

The incident happened back at the end of December at Joe’s Bar and Grill in Seattle. Bartender Felicite Ogilvy was given the job of checking people’s vaccination cards which was mandated at the time:

“I asked him, ‘do you have your vaccination card?’ and he said ‘I’ve had the vaccine but I don’t have the card’ and I was like OK but you need to have proof of it,” Ogilvy said…

“He ended up basically saying ‘You’re picking on me,’“ Ogilvy said. “I’m not going to deal with it.’ That’s when he started getting hostile.”

A coworker came over to help defuse the escalating situation — and even a few customers — but the man wouldn’t go and fought back with a long stick. Witnesses said a sharp piece of metal was attached to the bottom end.

“He swung the stick as hard as he could at my face, so not only did it puncture me, he also slit me,” Ogilvy said.

The wound was so deep Ogilvy needed 31 stitches to close it up.

Canadian Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland Laughs When Quizzed on Freezing of Citizen’s Bank Accounts

Canada has started implementing its radical and radically controversial measure under the Emergencies Act of depriving people of assets by freezing their bank accounts — a highly unusual way for a “democratic” regime to deal with political or societal dissent.

Another punitive measure against citizens targeted with this political scheme co-opting financial institutions and law enforcement will be to eventually strip protesting truckers of their insurance.

And the authorities in this country, who are these days “struggling” with protests, are doing this in a way typical of elites who show an unhealthy degree of detachment from their constituents.

Pastor Artur Denied Bail, What’s Next for His Legal Team?

The ongoing legal harassment that Pastor Artur Pawlowski has endured has garnered international attention. Police in tactical gear quickly gained ground Saturday on the second full day of one of the biggest police enforcement actions in Canada’s history, with officers drawn from around the country. Overnight, authorities towed trucks from areas where they had taken control in Ottawa’s downtown core.

Trudeau Slammed as a ‘Tyrant’ After Invoking Emergencies Act

After the arrest of freedom convoy organizers Tamara Lich and Chris Barber Thursday night, pundits have raised red flags over the direction that Canada is headed.

Batya Ungar-Sargon said that Canada was now “officially arresting dissidents.”

“A country that considers itself a democracy arresting people for the crime of organizing a mass grassroots nonviolent protest should horrify each and every one of you,” she wrote. “Surely we can all agree on that, whatever side of this you’re on.

Trudeau and His Police Are the Unchecked Dictators of Canada

On last night’s episode of The Ezra Levant Show, we looked at the ongoing protests in Ottawa and the cancellation of Parliament.

Here’s a bit of what Ezra had to say:

“They fired the Ottawa Police chief the other day. No reasons given. I think I know why — he wasn’t prepared to get violent against peaceful protesters. So they found a cop dirty enough to do whatever Trudeau says. It’s not too hard. Promise a guy a promotion, promise him legal immunity. I mean, many of the good cops have left the force — either been fired or they removed themselves for not going along with the past two years of bullying.

‘We Will Remove You’ — Ottawa Police Chief to Protestors

Canadian police on Saturday (February 19) used pepper spray and stun grenades, and made dozens of arrests as they cleared demonstrators from the street in front of parliament, where they have been camping for more than three weeks to protest against pandemic restrictions.

There have been a total of 170 arrests in two days, Ottawa’s interim police chief, Steve Bell, told reporters. Police by afternoon had dispersed the main portion of the blockade in front of parliament, the prime minister’s office, and the Bank of Canada.

While defending the tactics employed by police in recent days, Bell also addressed accusations of protestors being “horse-trampled,” saying “What I can indicate is there was two members of the protesters who did collide with the horses. They fell down. They immediately got back up and started to again engage in their protest and demonstration activity.”

Bell also issued a warning to demonstrators: “So I will stand here today again and say: this demonstration is over. Go home. If you don’t go home, we will remove you from the streets.”

Germany’s Corona Grifters to Go After Bank Accounts of ‘Right-Wing Extremists’

According to calculations by the German ifo Institute for Economic Research, the Corona pandemic has already cost 330 billion euros. “This corresponds to an economic loss totaling ten percent of economic output in 2019,” explained Ifo economic researcher Timo Wollmershäuser this week.

For comparison: The German budget in 2019 was 356,5 billion euros and the total gross domestic product of the Czech Republic was around 220 billion euros at the time.

“Without the crisis, the German economy would have grown by 1,3 percent in these years,” emphasized Wollmershäuser. The economic slump caused by the pandemic is “the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression in the 1930s”. The consequences of the upheaval included higher national debt and poorer education. However, losses such as those in the education sector cannot yet be quantified in economic terms.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, economists had warned of long-term economic damage. A survey by the Allensbach opinion research institute recently showed that a majority of Germans were afraid of a financial and economic crisis because of Corona.

Corona grifters plan to double down

But anyone who dares to speak out about the monumental bill, is smeared as a “right-wing” agitator and Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) has announced an action plan against “right-wing extremism”.

Germany’s AfD Faces More Attacks Than Any Other Party

Of all the parties represented in the Bundestag, the AfD was attacked the most frequently in the past year, with German authorities recording 660 cases where politicians or members of the party were attacked.

The AfD released the information after obtaining it from German Federal Ministry of the Interior, following a request for the information from the AfD.

Behind AfD was the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) with 617 attacks, the Greens (454), and the Social Democrats (SPD) with 445 cases. A similar picture emerges when looking at attacks on the buildings or facilities of the parties. While the AfD was a victim 120 times, this happened to the SPD 83 times, the CDU 82 times, and the Greens 67 times.

Police Confirm Use of Controversial LRAD Device at Canberra Protest

What started out at the beginning of the week as the ‘stuff of conspiracy theories’ was eventually confirmed by Police.

France and Its Allies, Including Czechia, Are Withdrawing From Mali

France, its European partners, and Canada will withdraw their troops from Mali in West Africa. Currently, they are fighting Islamist militias as part of Operation Barkhane and the Task Force Takuba. The reason behind the withdrawal is worsening diplomatic relations with the Malian junta. According to the Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochova, Czechia will also pull its soldiers from the Takuba mission.

“Due to multiple obstructions by the Malian transitional authorities, Canada and the European States operating alongside Operation Barkhane and within the Task Force Takuba deem that the political, operational and legal conditions are no longer met to effectively continue their current military engagement in the fight against terrorism in Mali and have therefore decided to commence the coordinated withdrawal of their respective military resources dedicated to these operations from Malian territory,” the statement published by the Elysee Palace reads.

Welcome to Haiti 2.0: Now With One Billion Guns!

In 2011 I went on a “mission trip” to visit the island nation of Haiti about a year after the earthquake that destroyed so much of the country. I wrote pretty extensively about the experience on my old blog. When I figure in airfare, the trip expenses and the money I donated both before and for years after my trip, my financial investment in Haiti comes to a couple grand.

It is more than a decade after I went on this trip and things are in some ways even worse in Haiti. Just last year Jovenel Moïse, the latest “President” of Haiti was assassinated and in October a group of 17 American missionaries with Christian Aid Ministries were kidnapped and held for ransom, before eventually escaping in December. It is a disaster that never ends, like a perpetual car crash repeated over and over.

During that decade since my trip the world, most significantly White Christians in America, has poured untold billions in aid and manhours into trying to help this country achieve some semblance of civilization. It has been in vain. The problems in Haiti are not economic or political, they are demographic…

YouTube Considers Hiding the “Share” Button to Prevent “Misinformation” Spread

YouTube has revealed some of its latest plans to restrict content under the guise of battling misinformation.

In a blog post, the Google company — notorious for some of the most shocking instances of online censorship related to the pandemic and more — outlined what they see as the “next” steps along the same path.

And one of those steps now under consideration includes disabling sharing of, and linking to videos that YouTube decides contain “misinformation,” with the clear goal of “killing” their reach and visibility — this time, specifically outside YouTube itself.

OK, Jokes over lads – Trudeau is unfit for office. He must go. The question is “how?”

When we work that out, we can go for Biden, Macron, Johnson and all the other clowns.

    • That is the job of the opposition, instead of clowning around with “questions” they knew bloody well he will not answer, and will keep on mocking them. They can vote no confidence. Where are there any of them with cojones?
