Fifty Shades of Grey

A group of German and Swiss chemists is interested in the mRNA technology used by BioNTech to manufacture the contents of the injections intended to mitigate the effects of the Wuhan Coronavirus. They have sent the company a series of questions about the methodology employed to assure the effectiveness and safety of the treatments, and are hoping to receive useful information in reply.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from the Berliner Zeitung:

Chemist on vaccine: “Where does the shade of grey come from?”

Four chemistry professors sent a list of questions to BioNTech founder Sahin. They are concerned about possible quality issues with the vaccine.

Four renowned scientists wrote a letter to BioNTech founder Ugur Sahin: Jörg Matysik, Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Leipzig; Gerald Dyker, Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Ruhr University Bochum; Andreas Schnepf, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Tübingen; Martin Winkler, Professor Materials and Process Engineering at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. The professors formulated their letter, which was made available to the Berliner Zeitung, in a deliberately benevolent manner. They are fundamentally interested in mRNA technology.

They write: “We find the possibility of stabilizing mRNA in such a way that it can be used for vaccinations very exciting. We understand it is important to them both for general public health and for a successful chemical and pharmaceutical industry,” according to the professors.

Jörg Matysik explains in an interview with the Berliner Zeitung: “With the mRNA technologist, BioNTech uses a very promising but also a very complex technology. This can be used successfully in future, for example, in cancer therapy. Because of the possibly good risk-benefit ratio, a cancer patient may also agree to an experimental treatment.” However, the situation is different with the vaccine against Covid-19. Matysik: “As chemists, we don’t have the impression that this product can currently be used as a mass vaccine.”

A central question that the researchers at BioNTech are asking arises from a note which says: “The vaccine is a white to off-white dispersion.” The professors now ask Professor Sahin, the founder and CEO of BioNTech: “How does this significant color difference come about? Almost all substances used are colorless, so white would be expected. Where does the shade of grey come from? Are these impurities?” Andreas Schnepf explains the problem: “It’s possible that a pill, a liquid or a dispersion is colored. But the color grey, i.e. a “diluted black”, is hardly created in a process that would have been expected. We need to know if it is a contamination. With a pill that is not white, there is a suspicion that something has gone wrong. We need clarification from BioNTech here.”

“How is a uniform product quality-assured?”

Schnepf: “We rightly have very high standards in the medical sector when it comes to the purity and comparability of products.” Schnepf and Matysik are aware of the great difficulties of quality control in mRNA technology. There would be few methods, such as light scattering methods, to provide any degree of quality control. Schnepf: “As scientists, we are very interested in learning from BioNTech which methods are used at BioNTech. We discussed with colleagues and so far have not been able to find any starting points on how to ensure the quality of mRNA technology for such a large volume of a product.” In their letter, the professors ask specifically: “How is uniform product quality ensured, or how can you make sure that and to what extent the mRNA to be packaged is present in the lipid nanoparticles? Furthermore, how is the concentration of mRNA drug in each batch controlled and how the concentration of drug inside the lipid nanoparticles relative to that outside the particles?”

A second problem that worries the chemists is the “components not approved for human use” used in the vaccine. This applies to “the components ALC-0159 and ALC-0315 used for the formation of the lipid nanoparticles”, which are “not directly approved for use on or in the human body”. The safety data sheet for ALC-0315 describes “that ALC-0315 irritates both the eyes and the skin or mucous membranes”. Schnepf sees a problem here: “If it can irritate the eyes or the skin, what about the relationship to the tissue? We need clarity here.” Matysik: “BioNTech works with the best substances available to make this complex mixture stable at all.” However, this is a very complex process with lipid particles, because it is a process of self-organization. “Controlling it is very difficult.” Specifically, the professors ask in their letter: “Are there currently ongoing or planned studies to localize the whereabouts of the substances, which are only used as additives, after application? Are there any other planned or ongoing studies to determine the toxicological effects of the substances or their biological degradation products and to locate them after the application?”

Then the scientists deal with reports of side effects. They are concerned because there appear to be different side effects with different batch numbers. Schnepf: “It really shouldn’t be, because all the containers have to contain the same stuff.” However, the researchers believe it is possible that the high production pressure could lead to different results in individual batches, which is “not tolerable”, says Schnepf. The researchers want to know from BioNTech whether “the side effects are correlated with a small number of batch numbers.” Specifically, they ask in their letter: “How can this fact be explained, and what distinguishes these batches from the others, and are efforts underway to investigate this important aspect more closely, especially with regard to quality assurance? Are there or are clinical studies planned to investigate the side effects and their causes and to increase the safety of the new Covid vaccines?”

Cui Bono?

The following article discusses the interconnections among the most powerful movers and shakers in the world, some of whom are well-known to everyone, while others are more shadowy. When I look at the net wealth of the richest people, a back-of-the-envelope calculation informs me that I could live comfortably for the rest of my life (even if I live to be 100) on one thousandth of one percent of their net worth. And those are just the individuals — the corporations and organizations control an unfathomably huge portion of the world’s resources, with a small oligarchy acting to manage the assets.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Apolut.net:

The Wolff of Wall Street SPECIAL: Deep State and Digital Financial Complex

It is the end of December 2021, and we are in an economic and social transition period of historic dimensions. For nearly two years now, almost all countries in the world — regardless of whether they are dictatorships or parliamentary democracies — have by and large been following the same agenda.

This global synchronization shows that there is a force that has more power than any of approximately 200 current governments on our planet. This force has a name: it is the digital-financial complex. At its head are the five largest IT companies in the world on the digital side: Apple, Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft and Meta, formerly Facebook, and on the financial side the largest asset managers, BlackRock and Vanguard.

But how exactly could this complex become so powerful, and how does it manage to assert its interests around the globe at the same time?

Let’s start with the first question. For centuries, power rested on a single base, money. Whoever had money had power and whoever had a lot of money had a lot of power.

That still applies, but no longer exclusively. Since the use of computers and the triumphant advance of the Internet as part of the Third Industrial Revolution, there has been a second base of power, namely DATA. Whoever has data has power and whoever has large amounts of data has a lot of power.

However, anyone that, like IT companies, organizes the data flows of entire industries and also those of governments in the context of digitization, gets an additional insight into their innermost being — and can thus make them dependent, and in this way also submissive.

It is precisely this process that has resulted in the large IT corporations being far above all other companies and governments in the world today. Whether armaments, food, pharmaceuticals, energy or media — all these industries and all state institutions, including the secret services, are now on the drip from the digital corporations, which have also built up their own global media power with social networks.

The financial industry, on the other hand, which is always on the lookout for new investment opportunities, has promoted this process from the start and is now involved in all leading IT groups through its most powerful representatives — the large asset management companies. Since it is also dependent on them at the same time, both are merged in this way into a kind of community of interests.

BlackRock and Microsoft provide a particularly vivid example of this: BlackRock uploaded its data analysis system Aladdin, by far the most important database in global finance, to Microsoft’s Azure cloud in April 2020, so it is now dependent on Microsoft for data. Microsoft, in turn, is a public company and therefore dependent on its largest shareholders, and these are none other than Vanguard and BlackRock, with Vanguard also being the largest shareholder in BlackRock.

So much for the emergence of the new world power. But how exactly does the digital-financial complex enforce its interests? Which mechanisms and which channels does it use?

The most important strategic role is played by the central banks, which officially gave up their independence at the latest during the world financial crisis of 2007-2008. Since then, BlackRock has been advising the two largest central banks in the world, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the American Federal Reserve. So Blackrock has a decisive say when it comes to distributing the huge sums of newly created money in the financial sector.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

Last Sunday I reported on an ISIS recruiter who was deported from Sweden. Now comes news that two returned ISIS brides have been released from custody without being deported. So Sweden has lost one mujahid and gained two mujahidettes.

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from the public broadcaster SVT:

Suspected ISIS women released

January 28, 2022

The two women who were taken into custody yesterday, suspected of committing war crimes in collaboration with the terror group, ISIS, have been released, reports Ekot [Swedish Radio]. They remain, and a preliminary investigation is in progress.

The women were taken into custody yesterday when they landed at Arlanda [Stockholm Airport]. They were met by a delegation of, among others, police, social services, and doctors. The women’s children were taken in by social services authorities.

The women and children were picked up by a Swedish delegation in northeastern Syria where they had been in the Kurdish autonomous area’s camp for suspected ISIS members.

Preliminary investigation initiated

A preliminary investigation into war crimes was initiated against the two women on Thursday, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The suspicions remain against both women.

Prosecutor Johan Udén at the National Unit Against International and Organized Crime, who is conducting the preliminary investigation into one of the suspected women, would not go into any details about the ongoing investigation.

“There are some measures to be taken. So we will have to agree on a time and see if can proceed or if it should be closed,” he says to Ekot.

Third group of women

According to information obtained by SVT Nyheter [Swedish State TV News], the two women are reportedly from western Sweden and Skåne.

This is the third group of women deported from the Kurdish enclave in northeastern Syria. Previously, a total of six women with children have returned to Sweden.

Several of the ISIS women who have returned to Sweden are suspected of crimes but continue to be free. Almost all children have also been taken into the care of Social Services according to LVU [Social Services].

Herbert Kickl: “You Will Not Escape Your Just Punishment”

Herbert Kickl is the leader of the FPÖ (Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs, Austrian Freedom Party). The FPÖ is the only major political party in Austria that opposed the recently-enacted mandatory “vaccination” that will be required of all adult Austrians.

The following video features Mr. Kickl’s speech in the Austrian parliament just before the vote on the mandatory vax. I don’t speak German, but over the past fifteen years of editing and watching our subtitled videos I have picked up quite a bit of German vocabulary and got a sense of the rhythm and texture of the language. To my ear, Mr. Kickl displays considerable eloquence and rhetorical skill in the remarks he directs at his fellow legislators.

Many thanks to Oz-Rita for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes and RAIR Foundation for the subtitling. The translator has supplied these introductory notes:

Herbert Kickl is one of very few politicians I admire and actually trust. During his party’s coalition with Sebastian Kurz he was Minister of the Interior, and he really did more for the security of Austrians in this short period than anyone before him. He returned faux refugees to sender, etc.

During the contrived scandal (Ibiza, Russian Floozies, loose tongues, booze, suspiciously “discovered” by a nasty piece of German MSM close to Merkel) everybody thought that the hapless then-leader of the Freedom Party was the target of what was obviously a set-up, but I am inclined to believe the rumors that circulated at the time that Kurz and his string-pullers wanted to get rid of Herbert Kickl. They could not find anything on him, other than that he was very anti-Muslim-invasion, hard, straight and unafraid. At the time they even went so far as to “forgive” the Ibiza scandal and let their minor government partner stay in power with them, provided they got rid of Herbert Kickl. It did not work; the party stayed with Kickl.

He is into mountaineering, cycling and all the boringly clean stuff — I think he is quite incorruptible. He goes on — and even sometimes leads — the Austrian anti-Corona-Nazism marches. He is, in my opinion, a true conservative with courage. I fear for his security.

I hope that one day not too far in the future Herbert Kickl will be Chancellor of Austria, and break the Adolf spell.

His speech in the Austrian Parliament was given a few hours before they voted for compulsory “vaccination”. While the speech contains quite a bit of “inside baseball”, it could become of historical import (at least as far as the Anschluss-Austrians are concerned) during Nuremberg 2.0.

The camera work of these Austrian parliamentarian sittings is often delightful as well — the camera zooms in on the person that Kickl is addressing, and it’s lovely to see them squirm.

This is how Mr. Kickl introduces his video on the Freedom Party’s website:

“The introduction of compulsory vaccination is a gigantic attack on the freedom of the people in Austria! Compulsory vaccination is an assault on the human dignity of the population.

“One can only be ashamed of the behaviour of the government and the MPs of ÖVP, Grüne, NEOS and SPÖ.

“Even if the FPÖ remains in the minority in today’s parliamentary vote, together with you we will definitely overturn compulsory vaccination — by using the existing administrative apparatus and through democratic elections! We promise you that!”

Gates of Vienna News Feed 1/27/2022

Dr. Anthony Fauci decreed that children under four years old will get a series of three injections with an experimental mRNA treatment that will allegedly protect them from infection with COVID-19. Meanwhile, Swedish health authorities recommended that children under 11 not be “vaccinated”.

In other news, Canadian Prime Minister Justin “Baby Doc” Trudeau announced that he had been exposed to COVID-19, and that although he had tested negative, out of an abundance of caution he would be isolating at home, and would therefore miss the arrival of the truckers’ “Freedom Convoy” in Ottawa this weekend.

The Mean Streets of Little Mogadishu in Borlänge

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from Nyheter Idag:

SVT reporters attacked in “Little Mogadishu”

Borlänge: Not everyone is happy when SVT’s Investigative Assignment comes to visit in Tjärna Ängar in Borlänge. Indeed, some become aggressive and violent. One person threw a rock at journalists and shouted, “F*** SVT.”

Investigative Assignment has done reportage from the Tjärna Ängar neighborhood in Borlänge — the country’s northernmost vulnerable area, which is called “Little Mogadishu” in the vernacular, since at least half of the residents come from Somalia.

Among others, they meet an older woman who has lived there for 18 years but has still not learned Swedish.

“What are you doing? Hello! Don’t film me, bitch,” shouts one guy when reporters drive around the area.

Official statistics say that just over 3,500 people live in Tjärna Ängar, but according to certain politicians and police, the true number is upwards of 10,000. Families are large with many children, which leads to overcrowding.

The area is marked by high unemployment, welfare dependency, and the rule of criminal networks and foreign customs while police control and intelligence are extremely limited.

When Investigative Assignment was there one evening, they were attacked by a person who threw a rock at them, screaming, “F*** SVT!” then ran away.

Shortly thereafter, some masked men come and ask why they are filming in Tjärna Ängar. The guys are insistent on not being filmed, and push the camera down.

“You have to say nice things about this area if you are going to record,” says one of them.

“You have to focus only on the positive.”

“Damn, we were attacked,” exclaims one of the reporters, referring to the rock-thrower.

SVT also meets with local politician Mursal Isa (MP, Green Party). He says that the foreigners who come to Tjärna Ängar primarily receive their information on the new country from other immigrants.

Newcomers are told that the “Swedish language is a local language”, which you don’t need to learn, that it doesn’t pay to work, as well as that they should not testify against criminals since they themselves run the risk of being hurt.

“This is still going on today, and I think it has even become worse,” says Mursal Isa.

Mrs. Green Goes to Moscow

The new German foreign minister is ideal for the job from a political standpoint. Annalena Baerbock is female, young, easy on the eyes, and reliably far left as the co-leader of the Greens.

She’s also ideal from a Russian perspective — a neophyte and ideologue who can easily be outsmarted by a seasoned and wily autocrat like Vladimir Putin.

A reminder: Annalena Baerbock is a member of the World Economic Forum’s “Young Global Leaders”, from the class of 2020. Coincidentally, she earned that distinction in early March of 2020, just as the global hysteria about the “pandemic” was being rolled out.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this op-ed from the German-language service of RT:

The Rebuttal — Baerbock in Moscow

The German Foreign Minister visited her Russian counterpart. The mainstream is full of praise. In fact, however, Baerbock did not just return empty-handed. It became even clearer that Germany is no longer a partner for Russia on a diplomatic level.

A commentary by Gert-Ewen Ungar

The German mainstream was full of praise for the visit of the new, “green” foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, to Moscow. The Süddeutsche recognizes a clever appearance. Editor-in-Chief at t-online Florian Harms headlines “Baerbock tough” and gives the impression that the young foreign minister had made it really clear to her long-serving counterpart which direction the wind was blowing from. The Tagesspiegel thinks that even Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov must have been amazed at Baerbock, because she had shown both toughness and a willingness to engage in dialogue with the “rough” Russian chief diplomat. Germany is on top, Germany has a say — is the impression that the reporting is giving here.

Russian journalists will be even more astonished than Lavrov when they read these hymns of praise in the German media about the visit of the German foreign minister to Moscow. The impression that there is a massive problem with the press and media landscape in Germany will be further deepened by this one-sided assessment.

Yes, there were no major missteps on Baerbock’s part. She didn’t put her foot in it, and she was forgiven for the embarrassing slip of the tongue “free eating” at what was probably the most unfavorable moment and context. That’s just what happens.

The fact that the performance went well overall is not due to the Foreign Minister’s outstanding diplomatic skills, but to the fact that the visit was completely choreographed from the first to the last second. Rhetorically untalented, Baerbock limited herself to reading prepared speaking notes. Direct questions were avoided as far as possible. Even at the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Baerbock read her text from the page, irritating the Russian public. On the other hand, if she acquits one time, the “uhs” and “ohs” dominate, and one muddle follows the next. No, she really can’t talk.

The post of chief diplomat still seems far too big for Baerbock, who has no diplomatic experience whatsoever. She doesn’t know the customs, doesn’t master the linguistic nuances, and contrary to her own self-portrayal, has only a limited knowledge of international law. You congeal everything into black and white, into a simple paradigm, into a simple, un-complicated formula.

Gates of Vienna News Feed 1/26/2022

A massive convoy of tractor-trailer trucks is converging on Ottawa from three directions. The truckers are protesting Canada’s recently-imposed “vaccine” mandate. Prime Minister Justin “Baby Doc” Trudeau said that the truckers were a small fringe minority and held unacceptable views.

The convoy began last weekend in British Columbia, and has been gathering additional participants as it moves east. The eastern portion of the convoy set out from Nova Scotia, and a group from southern Ontario is moving north towards Ottawa. The three branches of the convoy plan to meet on the weekend and surround Parliament Hill. They say that they will remain there until the Corona restrictions and mandates are removed, or Baby Doc resigns.

Boring From Within

Below is reminder from five years ago of what Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum have put together during the past forty or fifty years of patient infiltration of governments all over the world. The current “pandemic” crisis is a clear sign that their plans are finally bearing fruit.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Uncutnews.ch:

Klaus Schwab: “We are very proud that we are getting our Young Global Leaders into every cabinet.”

In 2017, Klaus Schwab, the founder of the World Economic Forum, gave a lecture at Harvard Kennedy School. There he made a remarkable statement.

He pointed out that heads of state like then-Chancellor Merkel and even Vladimir Putin were all Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum. “We are very proud that we work with the young generation — with Prime Minister Trudeau, the Argentine President and so on,” Schwab said.

He added that he attended a reception hosted by Prime Minister Trudeau the day before the lecture. “And I know that half or even more than half of his cabinet is made up of Young Global Leaders from the World Economic Forum,” Schwab said.

“It’s also the case in Argentina and in France,” he said, adding that the French president is a Young Global Leader.

That WAYCIST Cross

Once upon a time Christians (or at least American Protestants) used to sing this hymn:

Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss…

It’s still in the Episcopal hymnal, but you don’t hear it that much anymore. These days it seems that too many Christians are ready to relinquish the cross and other Christian symbols as soon as someone from a designated protected minority — which, in aggregate, means a majority of the population — is offended by it. For example, the College of William and Mary removed the cross from the Wren Chapel because one person complained about it.

Something similar is going on in a cemetery in the Swiss city of Basel. Interestingly enough, not all Christians in the city are ready to roll over and surrender to the culture-enrichers.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from the Swiss weekly Weltwoche:

In Basel they bicker over Christian symbols

Crosses should disappear from the largest Swiss cemetery

by René Hildbrand

It’s been a cross around the cross for years. Again and again the symbol causes controversy, although Christians see it as a sign of reconciliation, tolerance and charity. There is currently trouble in this regard in Riehen, the second-largest city in northern Switzerland with a proportion of foreigners of around 28 percent. The largest cemetery in Switzerland is on the Hörnli in Riehen. According to the management of the Central Cemetery, more and more non-believers feel disturbed by crosses, Christian murals and even the names of chapels during funeral services and ceremonies. The Catholic Church in Basel-Stadt is now yielding. The spokesman for the church council told the Basler Zeitung: “If there are people who find Christian symbols disturbing, it should be possible to cover them up or carry them out.”

The Evangelical Reformed people of Basel see things differently. Their church gets by without religious symbols. Nevertheless, the President finds: “Those for whom these symbols are important should also be able to experience and see them.”

There is strong resistance to the suppression of Christian symbols. The SVP Riehen fights for the preservation of the cemetery culture. In a petition, she calls on parliament and the government council to stop such projects.

The tolerant representatives of the Basel Catholics still add: “If the basic equipment of a funeral chapel should be without Christian symbols, this is a worrying trend.”

In 2018, the newly elected Minister-President of Bavaria, Markus Söder, had a cross hung up in his Munich State Chancellery in one of his first public acts. Ten years earlier, when he was CSU general secretary, Söder got himself into trouble with a single sentence: “Crucifixes and no headscarves belong in the classroom.”

Afghans, Afghans, Everywhere!

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from Riposte Laïque:

More and more Afghans in France

by Francis Gruzelle
24 January 2022

Migratory invasion

The great majority of Afghan refugees are young men, arriving alone, and not speaking French. Almost all are of the Muslim faith and are very religious.

Afghans have become the principal population of refugees in France. A population principally male, and between 20-30 years of age. A great majority are male, young, and arrived alone.

The Afghan refugee community in France is very young, and very male-dominated, with a ratio of men to women extremely unbalanced. Only 12.5% are women, and the average age of the entire group is 27.2 years. As Gerard Sadik explains, migration to Europe is principally overland and is by “mostly unqualified youths who have worked at odd jobs in the countries they have crossed.” He also reminds us that these youths are “especially fragile due to the traumatic situations encountered in their countries of origin or during migration, and due to severe economic insecurity,” and that they “don’t fit well into the guidelines for reception of asylum-seekers, and settle in frequently-evacuated migrant encampments, for example in Île-de-France.”

It would seem that these Afghan refugees would be difficult to integrate, given the Afghans in France, a growing and fragmented community.

In the same way that Professor Remi Chauvin was passionate about the life and the habits of bees, many researchers study the evolution of invasive species in a real way. Thus the researcher Francois Gemenne evokes the fear that henceforth, asylum will be reserved “for the most-connected Afghans, the richest, who were able to leave the country while those who stay risk finding themselves in an open-air prison.” He offers the hypothesis that those who wish to flee but don’t immediately have the means will not be considered, in the coming months, as candidates for asylum, but as “economic migrants”, which will reduce their chances of seeing their requests accepted in the receiving country.

Who grants residence permits?

In France, it is the French Office of Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons (Ofpra) which handles asylum applications and the granting of refugee status or beneficiaries of subsidiary protection (given to persons who cannot benefit from refugee status but who risk suffering serious harm in their countries; death penalty, torture, inhuman treatment, general violence resulting from a situation of armed conflict, etc.)

The Invisible Empire

The following video from Italy is the latest in a series showing examples of nano-structures found in vials of experimental mRNA treatments intended to mitigate the effects of infection with the Wuhan Coronavirus. I don’t know enough about microscopy to confirm that these objects are in fact nanotechnology, much less the self-assembling devices they are alleged to be. However, they are plainly artifacts.

Unlike previous samples shown here, not all of these can be passed off as salt crystals. The final one, in particular, has dome-like protuberances unlike anything I’ve ever seen in crystalline structures. Unless these slides are complete fakes, something weird is going on here.

The Corona Gestapo in Harpstedt

It appears that police in the German city of Harpstedt, near Bremen, became a trifle over-zealous in their suppression of “walkers” who opposed the mandate for the experimental mRNA treatment — colloquially referred to as a “vaccine” — that is intended to mitigate the effects of infection with the Wuhan Coronavirus.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Kreiszeitung, a local daily in Lower Saxony:

Harsh criticism of the police

“Vaccination opponents driven almost like pigs through the village”

Harpstedt — Passersby accuse the police of an excessively harsh approach to the recent “walk” by opponents of compulsory vaccination in Harpstedt. A married couple who were not among the “demonstrators” at all were nevertheless “right in the middle instead of just there” against their will. “My wife and I actually have confidence in the police, but that has been shaken slightly since Tuesday evening,” Matthias Bystron openly admits. According to his assessment, the proportionality of the means has not been maintained. The police, by screaming, speeding through the 30 km/h zone without any recognizable necessity and unnecessary harshness, acted more to promote escalation.

In his eyes, the “walkers” of the 40-plus generation that Matthias Bystron noticed were completely harmless and by no means “radical”. Nevertheless, the police were said to have been extremely “ rough” with them. His wife Katrin Müller does not hesitate to describe the appearance of the “citizens” in uniform much more drastically. Although the “walkers” neither rolled out banners nor uttered slogans, they were “herded through the village almost like pigs”.

According to their own statement, the couple from Harpstedt found themselves completely surprisingly in the middle of the action. “We just wanted to get to our car,” the 60- and 54-year-olds recall. On Long Street, they were instructed in a very harsh tone by an officer, who only revealed himself as a “self-declared head of operations” when asked. “I felt as if I had burglarized something and was arrested because of it,” says Katrin Müller.
In principle, of course, the police have the right to carry out personal checks, her husband admits. Nevertheless, he expects that an officer who stops him will briefly introduce himself in a matter-of-fact tone and make it clear why he is intervening. However, he does not expect to be yelled at, as happened on Tuesday. When asked to explain “the measure,” the official replied, “the measure is that we are a political group.” He, Bystron, replied: “This is not a measure. Now, please, explain to me why you’re stopping me! I’m willing to identify myself, but I disagree with the way you’re treating me. We can also clarify that with your department head in Wildeshausen.” The official did not want the latter.

He then wanted to issue a “banishment” [obviously meaning a sending-off]. “You can’t because I’m a resident,” Bystron claims to have replied. In the further course of the conversation, the police officer became friendlier, no longer shouting, but explained factually that he was acting according to the Infection Protection Act.
