Alan Dershowitz Reportedly Lobbied Trump to Pardon Ghislaine Maxwell Before Trial

Former Jeffrey Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz lobbied then-President Donald Trump to pardon madam Ghislaine Maxwell before she could face trial, according to a report.

The 83-year-old lawyer — himself long accused of having sex with one of late pedophile Epstein’s teen accusers — pushed for the pardon after UK media heiress Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 for the sex-trafficking crimes she was convicted of last month, the Times of London said.

The retired Harvard law professor was able to use his close ties to Trump, whom he also represented during his impeachment trial, the paper said.

One of the convicted madam’s brothers, Ian Maxwell, 65, confirmed to the UK paper that he had discussed the possibility of clemency with Dershowitz, who got Epstein his controversial wrist-slap 2008 plea deal on sex offenses with underage girls.

Critical Race Theory, COVID Policies in Virginia Spark Huge Jump in Homeschooling

Homeschooling in Virginia has increased by nearly 40% since 2019, which has been partly fueled by the implementation of critical race theory in classrooms and the coronavirus.

“The children don’t belong to the state. I think parents really want to impart their own values to their children — their values and beliefs and their own worldview. And that is a major reason parents are home schooling,” Yvonne Bunn, director of government affairs for the Home Educators Association of Virginia, told the Virginia Mercury earlier this month.

There are currently about 62,000 homeschoolers in Virginia, according to Virginia Department of Education data. There were 44,226 homeschoolers in the state during the 2019/2020 school year, marking a more than 39% increase.

However, it has since emerged that she was talking about a CDC study of 1.2 million vaccinated people which found that out of the the small number of fatalities, 77.8% had four comorbidities.

Sex Abuse Lawsuit Against Prince Andrew Can Go Forward: Judge

The sex-abuse lawsuit filed by a longtime Jeffrey Epstein accuser against Prince Andrew can move forward to trial, a Manhattan judge ruled Wednesday.

In a 46-page decision, Judge Lewis Kaplan “denied in all respects” the royal’s numerous attempts to dismiss Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s suit against him.

Crucially, the judge insisted that Giuffre’s $500,000 settlement with Epstein was too “ambiguous” to cover Andrew — reasoning that the late pedophile likely had only been out to protect himself. The Duke of York had tried to aruge that the 2009 deal between Giuffre and Epstein shielded him from any liability stemming from her accusations.

The judge also dismissed the 61-year-old prince’s “meritless” suggestion that his accuser’s complaint needed to be “more definitive.”

Many are questioning why there is such fierce opposition to the referendum, especially from those who routinely claim Hungary is no democracy, given that a referendum represents democracy in arguably its purest form, and provides an opportunity for citizens to voice their opinions, especially on controversial issues.

Nine women, including two German visitors, reported being victims of the attacks by gangs of youths in three separate incidents.

The case has echoes of one which occurred in Cologne in 2016.

On Tuesday police searched the homes of 18 people suspected of involvement to find evidence and, at the moment, 12 are under investigation.

The two suspects detained on Wednesday are a 21-year-old from Turin and an 18-year-old from Milan.

Milan Prosecutor Riccardo Targetti said the two are accused of “serious sexual violence” accompanied by “the robbery of cell phones and handbags”.

He said they had been detained because there was a danger of them trying to escape given the seriousness of the evidence against them.

Indeed, the pair were not present on Tuesday when their homes were searched.

They were allegedly involved in two of the three attacks.

Investigators said they found clothes matching those worn by assailants on New Year’s Eve at the homes of the suspects.

Nasal Spray Could Protect Against All COVID-19 Variants for 8 Hours: Study

A new experimental nasal spray could prevent people from getting infected with COVID-19 for up to eight hours, according to a study.

The promising treatment has shown it can block infection from the virus in lab studies with mice, according to researchers at the University of Helsinki in Finland.

“This technology is cheap and highly manufacturable, and the inhibitor works equally well against all variants,” study author Kalle Saksela told Gizmodo.

“It works also against the now-extinct SARS virus, so it might well also serve as an emergency measure against possible new coronaviruses.”

Spain’s Prime Minister Calls for Treating COVID as an ‘Endemic Illness’

Spanish leader Pedro Sanchez has insisted it is time to start treating COVID-19 as an “endemic illness” like the flu.

“It’s a necessary debate. Science has given us the answer to protect ourselves,” the 49-year-old prime minister told radio station Cadena Ser on Monday, according to Bloomberg.

Sanchez cited the plunging death rate amid surging infections as proof that the threat “is not what we faced a year ago.”

He argued that it is time to stop recording every infection and testing everyone with symptoms, and instead start monitoring it more like a less deadly flu-like endemic illness.

Swiss Secret Service Warns Against Chinese Technical Support for Swiss Public Television

The Swiss radio and television broadcaster (SRF) cannot get its technical problems under control and therefore had to call in help from China. This has become an explosive matter in view of the danger of espionage, military sources said.

It has been a never-ending series of technical breakdowns on Swiss television. A year ago it became known that repairs to SRF studios cost huge sums of money. “SRF breakdowns in studios cost the fee payers 400 000 francs per month,” was the headline of the Watson portal. The new studios started operations in 2019 but staff have not been brought up to speed with the equipment: “With the new studios, Swiss television is relying on a technology that has hardly been tested and has not yet worked.”

Now, a year later, things took a turn for the worse: The technology in question still doesn’t work. Millions more were spent on technicians being called in to solve the problems, but without success. SRF now has to use “Chinese specialists”, reported 20 Minuten, citing the Aargauer Zeitung.

UK: “Paedos & Propaganda”: Man Attacks BBC Statue Sculpted by Child Molester

A man scaled the facade of a statue that was sculpted by a child molester outside BBC headquarters in London, defacing it with the words “paedos and propaganda.”

A protester carrying a hammer used an ordinary ladder to reach the monument, which was erected in 1933 by artist Eric Gill, who in 1989 was revealed to have sexually abused his daughters, sister and family dog.

As he chipped away at the statue, the man told police the statue should have been removed “decades ago.”

The man was subsequently arrested after a four hour standoff, with a crane being used to remove him from the 10 foot statue, which represents The Tempest character Ariel as a naked young boy.

“Gill’s statue has garnered controversy since its installation 88 years ago, when critics voiced concern over the size of the boy’s genitalia — prompting the tabling of a question in the House of Commons,” reports the Telegraph.

UK: Inside the Downing Street Lockdown Party: How Carrie Johnson ‘Enjoyed Drink With Friend’, Boris Wandered Round Gladhanding People, Official Joked About Risk of Being Filmed by a Drone… and No10 Staff Complained About the Mess Left in Garden

Carrie Johnson shared a drink with a close friend at the illegal Downing Street garden party where 40 people — including the Prime Minister — washed down sausage rolls and posh crisps with wine and gin while some guests feared being filmed breaking lockdown from the sky.

As 66million Britons were banned from meeting more than one person, the Prime Minister’s wife was said to have been deep in conversation with guest Henry Newman, a former protégé of Michael Gove who worked on Dominic Cummings’ Vote Leave campaign in the run-up to the Brexit referendum.

Boris Johnson and Carrie attended the event and mingled with the 40-or-so officials and advisers boozing when parties were banned. One person who attended told The Times that Johnson was ‘wandering round gladhanding people’ on May 20, 2020, at the height of the first lockdown.

YouTube Must Restore Banned Political Channel Axis of Good, German Court Rules

A German regional court has ruled that YouTube’s removal of the “Axis of Good” (Achse des Guten) video blog by political commentator Henryk M. Broder was unjustified and has called for the channel to be reinstated, according to German media.

The Junge Freiheit news outlet reported the judgment of the court in the southwestern German city of Karlsruhe following tech giant YouTube’s decision in December to effectively cancel the channel, deleting its account which had amassed more than 100,000 subscribers.

According to the channel’s creator, Burkhard Müller-Ullrich, the measure was taken without reason, noting that YouTube had referred to its ambiguous community guidelines to justify the ban. Both Broder and Müller-Ullrich contribute to the Axis of Good blog.

Axis of Good had recently been critical of the epidemiological measures implemented to contain the spread of Covid-19 and had voiced its opposition to compulsory vaccination, a measure being considered in a number of European countries — it is understood that YouTube had taken issue with content on these topics. The Axis of Good channel is among a number of German YouTube channels that have been deleted, with many of them critical of coronavirus measures or other government policies.

Fatal Shootings Reach Record High in Sweden Last Year as Police Fail to Control Migrant Gangs

Last year, 46 homicides were committed in 335 shootings in Sweden, which is plagued by ultra-violent migrant gangs, the La Croix daily reported. While Stockholm is struggling to curb the growing problem, the authorities have already identified several challenges to overcome.

Over the past four years, the average has stood at 44 deaths in 325 shootings per year. The trend is so entrenched that Sven Granath, a criminologist at the Stockholm police force, called 2021 “fairly typical.” As in previous years, conflicts between young armed men, mostly from migrant communities, are behind the shootings. The median age of the perpetrators of these killings is 23 years.

He added that if Germany fails to fill this gap, any subsequent downturn in the German economy would jeopardize the nation’s transformation of the energy industry.

Migration Controls Must Remain a National Competence, Insists Hungary

European member states hold such polarizing views on migration that a compromise is simply not viable and it must be allowed to be dealt with at a national level, Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Varga told attendees of the Migration as a Risk book launch in Budapest on Tuesday.

She reiterated that there could be no compromise on the issue when it remained a fact that the European Union and the vast majority of Western European member state governments viewed mass migration as a positive matter, while the Hungarian government, for example, continues to see migration as a danger to European civilization and something which is having a detrimental effect on the future of Europe and its people.

  1. “Swiss Secret Service Warns Against Chinese Technical Support for Swiss Public Television”

…They bought some very expensive equipment from China because it was “cheap”, and the thing now does not work as it should.

I have encountered these chinese support technicians more than once: They usually know less then us, but they come with truckloads of different “tech” and start “trial and error” procedures trying every little box they pull out of their luggage, until they find some little box that works…

I have never met a chinese “expert” whom I could respect to be a real “expert” who really knows what he’s doing, and can independently solve problems.

  2. “European Medicines Agency Warns Endless Booster Shots Could Cause “Immune Response” Problems”

  4. “… the vast majority of Western European member state governments viewed mass migration as a positive matter…”

said Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Varga. Governments maybe: people not, but then they were never asked, nor were their protests listened to.

    • Nor their protests listened to

yeah these real genuine democracies of the West they practice every diktat of tyrannical dictatorship that history has seen and still are called democracies

perfect democracies who will doubt them that they are friendly with jihadis nd enemies to their own people yes enemies of their own people

Jihadis come here give me your votes and let our nation go to hell and the population slaughtered then day and night repeat that fatuous meaningless democracy democracy

      • So called democracy is DEAD! If you actually think we will vote our way out of this mess? You are sheep for the slaughter. If you haven’t prepared for barbaric conflict, you will find that there is no escaping it.
