Jerome Powell Suggests it’s Time to Stop Describing Inflation as ‘Transitory’

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell suggested to lawmakers Tuesday that the time has come to stop referring to the inflation currently ravaging the economy as “transitory” — four months after President Biden suggested price increases were only temporary.

“How long does inflation have to run above your target before the Fed decides, maybe it’s not so transitory?” Senate Banking Committee Ranking Member Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) asked Powell, who appeared alongside Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

Powell explained that while the word has “different meanings to different people,” the Federal Reserve “tend to use it to mean that it won’t leave a permanent mark in the form of higher inflation.

The boy, who was not publicly identified, was busted Friday on a felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, Chicago police brass said Monday.

“Let me say that again, because that stops the conscience,” Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown told reporters, according to the Chicago Tribune. “Our task force arrested an 11-year-old for a carjacking.”

Abimbola Osundairo Says Jussie Smollett Asked to ‘Fake Beat Him’

A Lake View man said Jussie Smollett asked him to “fake beat him” and even suggested he use an anti-gay slur and say “MAGA” during the staged homophobic and racist attack.

“I was confused. I looked puzzled. He [Smollett] explained to me that he wanted me to fake beat him up,” testified Abimbola Osundairo, who met Smollett while he worked as an extra on “Empire” in 2017.

Osundairo, 28, told Special Prosecutor Dan Webb Wednesday that he and Smollett had a brotherly bond and that he would procure drugs for the actor while Smollett would help Osundairo with his budding acting career.

Best-Selling Author Alice Sebold Publicly Apologizes for Sending Man to Prison for 16 Years in Now-Overturned Rape Case

The best-selling author of the memoir “Lucky” and the novel “The Lovely Bones” apologized on Tuesday to the man who was convicted of her rape almost 40 years ago after his conviction was vacated on Nov. 22.

Anthony J. Broadwater, 61, spent 16 years in jail after being wrongly convicted of raping Alice Sebold in 1982 when she was 18-years-old, the Associated Press reported. His guilty verdict was overturned when prosecutors reexamined the case and found serious flaws in both his arrest and trial.

Sebold apologized for “unwittingly” being a part of “a system that sent an innocent man to jail,” in a statement released to the AP and later posted on Medium.

Brian Kilmeade Reacts to Crime Surge in San Francisco: It’s a Free-for-All

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” guest host Brian Kilmeade slammed California lawmakers for not investigating or prosecuting the organized retail theft that has overtaken some California cities.

BRIAN KILMEADE: It’s a free-for-all in San Francisco. Crime and looting are out of control. This past weekend mobs of thieves ransacked retail stores, pharmacies, and luxury shops. Law enforcement is calling many of these raids “organized.” You think so? In a single 24 hour period, a mob of looters targeted a Louis Vuitton high-end shopping district store. As many as 80 looters in ski masks raided a Nordstrom just outside the city. Eyewitnesses described the scene as something out of a movie. That’s what I’d think. In nearby Oakland, about 17 miles away, the same period of time hundreds of vehicles reportedly targeted marijuana dispensaries and other stores. Car break-ins are on the rise in San Francisco as well. Compared to last year, break-ins are up, get this, 753%. As the Hoover Institute recently noted, San Francisco is now more dangerous than 98% of the U.S. cities.

Facebook Will No Longer Censor Search Results, Posts Praising Kyle Rittenhouse

Facebook announced Wednesday that it will no longer block search results for “Kyle Rittenhouse” and will no longer remove posts praising his actions.

Following an incident in August 2020 in which Rittenhouse shot three individuals in self-defense, killing two of them, Facebook initially blocked search results for Rittenhouse’s name and removed posts supporting him, explaining that the incident was a “mass murder” and that Rittenhouse was placed on Facebook’s “dangerous individuals and organizations” list.

For his involvement in the shooting, Rittenhouse was charged with counts of reckless or intentional homicide; he was acquitted of all charges in late November.

Facebook confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation on Wednesday that it is altering its policy to allow search results for Rittenhouse as well as posts supporting him.

NYTimes: Climate Change is Driving Albatrosses to ‘Divorce’

In an apparently serious article, the New York Times declared Monday that climate change is compelling some albatrosses, which usually mate for life, to “divorce” their partners.

Citing a study published last week by New Zealand’s Royal Society, the article by Natasha Frost states that albatrosses are among the most monogamous creatures on the planet but “climate change may be driving more of the birds to ‘divorce.’“

“The researchers, led by Francesco Ventura of the University of Lisbon, found that the divorce rate (sic) among the birds… increased in years in which the ocean was warmest,” it reads.

The research reportedly involved 15,500 breeding pairs of black-browed albatrosses on New Island in the Falklands using data collected over 15 years.

Wall Street Execs ‘Pleading’ For JPMorgan to Cancel Event in Crime-Ridden San Francisco

JPMorgan insists it’s going ahead with an in-person conference in San Francisco in January, but alarm bells ringing among some attendees could force the meeting online — and it’s not because of Covid worries. It’s because of crime.

Watch: Ron DeSantis SLAMS the Media for Downplaying Waukesha Massacre

In a press conference on Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis condemned the left-wing media narrative that it was an SUV that killed six people and injured dozens more at the Waukesha Christmas parade earlier this month, and not the man behind the wheel.

“Is that how it works? The SUVs, they just drive by themselves? This just kind of happened. And they say, Oh, this was a big accident. You never actually hear the discussion about who committed this,” said DeSantis.

Amid Protests Against Italy’s Vaccine Rules, Cardinal Parolin Says Church’s Message is Clear

VATICAN CITY — Commenting on protests against Italy’s vaccine rules, the Vatican’s Secretary of State said that the Church’s message is clear that vaccination is an “act of love.”

“No Vax” refers to demonstrators who object to COVID-19 vaccines, while “No Pass” protesters focus on the Italian government’s decision in October to require all workers to possess a Green Pass proving that the holder has been vaccinated, tested negative every 48 hours, or recently recovered from COVID-19.

Cardinal Parolin was asked specifically to comment on the actions of a priest, Father Floriano Pellegrini, who blessed the crowd of more than 1,000 demonstrators before a “No Vax” march in Verona on Nov. 27.

Germany: Head of the Chemnitz Clinic Commits Suicide: ‘COVID-19 Vaccine is Genocide’ — DNB

“The Chief of a Clinic in Chemnitz, Germany [“East Germany’s largest municipal hospital”] committed suicide. “Jendges had only been appointed sole managing Director of the Chemnitz Clinic since October 1st 2021. Since April, he was acting as Managing Director… “Dr. Thomas Jendges’ … talked at length about the difficult situation of the corona,” said the mayor of Chemnitz Sven Schulze (50, SPD)… Because the mayor threatened to fire him if he no longer stayed in the submissive line imposed by government order and refused to vaccinate patients at the clinic, there were presumably no more options for Jendges… Jendges leaves behind a wife and a son.”

  1. Despite all the weak drivel written here at times, I must commend Baron on giving people an opportunity to say their piece.

I am not sure how Baron draws the line or where but wherever he draws it is ok with me.

We often read of the mighty USA and all the guns in private possession yet the populace knows the head of state won by fraud, they endure higher and higher prices, they lose their jobs, they have lost the education system and millions of filth cross their border every year.

Here in Oz things are starting to get closer to the fck you point that many on here abhor for upsetting society, being not within the boundaries of good taste and any number of other loser statements.

Click this link to enjoy what is going down with Dan Andrews the Premier Pest in Victoria Australia.

After viewing this some of you might grow some nads yourselves what? Ohhh noooooo!

    https://www.larryhannigan.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Andrews-charged-.mp4?_=1

Sorry I don’t know how to embed the video.

    Enjoy.

    • Unfortunately the audio and accent was such that I couldn’t understand what was being said. Was there some sort of ultimatum being set for December 17th, and if so, what is it? Also, was Andrews’ desired powers law passed?

      • Now that Paul is funny! Bloody aussie accents.

Andrews has most of his bill passed. As we all know, all parties are simply a disguise for one party.

The charges are so far – misprision of treason and Fraud at Common Law.

I don’t know why there weren’t added Torts and Negligence charges. I am seeking to bring them myself next year.

The point is these [epithets] are on notice. Citizens need to do this all over the world. Because win or lose when this process is done we are on to the next stage – war if case lost or the purges can begin if we win.

        • I should have added, that the premise for the charge is that Australia has been corporatized. The evidence for this is that Federal business numbers have now been given to all govt depts. There is no reason for govt depts. to be lodging their tax affairs or otherwise with the feds.

If so, that would make Australia a republic.

And given that the populace in the last referendum voted for the Monarchy to continue, corporatizing Australia would be contrary to the vote of the population thereby leaving Andrews and every other politician liable – as the theory goes.

It is an interesting principle and worthy of being tested via the court. There is a lot of common law cases on such matters with very little wiggle room for those who are on the wrong side.

As I have noted above, it is a move by the people on the chess board against the protagonists. One they did not anticipate.

Whatever the result, it moves us closer to physical battle which is required to win.

Unlike some of our erstwhile delicate friends on here who it would seem would be upset about a word said in anger I believe that if we all went out today and exterminated the vermin, this would be all over tomorrow.

Said delicates however will continue their hand ringing until they are strung up.

Vile creatures they are and as a result are unreliable and to be scorned – as will happen in time.

They will have no part in the future West.

The future will be for the strong, the loyal, the honest – as it has always been with the exception of the past 30 years.

It will be a pleasure to see them disappear up their own rainbows.

          • Dawg, the future will be of the strongmen who are utterly ruthless, the sheep will do as they are told. and it won’t be the elites that take charge it will be a Pinochet or Franco type. Democracy as we know it is dead and gone.

  2. Just imagine that they push through the forced vaccinations and then everybody who is against the mRNA vaxx gets the superpowers of Superman.

I think that after those angry forced-vaxxed express their displeasure with the responsible politicians and civilians liek Mr Schwab, their replacements will declare the pandemic to be over at once and that the mRNA vaxx is deadly and is forbidden to use again.

    • Alex, no reasonable human would wait to be forcibly qaxxed before going after Schwab and co. It is difficult to win from a hospital bed.

  3. Trump still encouraging people to take the QuaXIne.

That man has no honour. He is one of the most detestable frauds in history.

Anyone else seen those videos of him joking around with Epstein? Seen the video of Epstein sitting next to Chump at the WWE or F or whatever letter they want?

He is so effed up, he still thinks that he is relevant!

There are a myriad of sites that still pay homage to the toad despite him signing an EO that among other things authorised self assembling nanoparticles in something called a QuaXIne, the shutting down of the economy and signed billions of relief to democrat states for a made up virus?

Not one apology. Not one single acknowledgement. That [epithet] needs to go down hard.
