Arbery Trial Judge Delivers Massive Blow to the Defense on Eve of Closing Statements

Authored by Jonathan Turley

In the Georgia trial over the killing of Ahmaud Arbery, Judge Timothy Walmsley delivered a haymaker to the defense on the very eve of closing statements.

The court ruled that Georgia’s prior citizen’s arrest law is only applicable if a person sees a felony committed and acts without delay.

The ruling could be “outcome determinative” in the case by stripping away the core defense that these men were chasing a person suspected of a series of crimes over the last year.

California BLM Supporter Accused of Driving Into Crowd Had Her Rights Violated During Hearing, Judge Rules

A California supporter of Black Lives Matter had her constitutional rights violated at a recent hearing over whether she should face trial on accusations that she deliberately drove into a crowd of counterprotesters in September 2020, a judge ruled Friday, according to a report.

During the hearing, Tatiana Turner’s defense attorney was not given a chance to present witnesses or arguments on Turner’s behalf, Orange County Superior Judge Michael Leversen ruled, according to the Orange County Register.

“The court finds the defendant was denied a substantial constitutional right,” Leversen said, according to the newspaper.

Candace Owens Raises Over $200,000 for Cop Fired After Having Donated to Kyle Rittenhouse Fund

Conservative commentator Candace Owens raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a Virginia police officer who was fired for supporting Kyle Rittenhouse.

Owens presented Police Lt. William Kelly a giant check for $202,000 on The Daily Wire’s “Candace” after he was let go by the Norfolk Police Department in April for having anonymously contributed to Rittenhouse’s defense fund.

In a preview clip first shared with Fox News, Owens told her audience she wanted to offer the ultimate response to the backlash Kelly and his family had faced for “siding with the truth.”

CNN Publishes Op-Ed: “Nothing More Frightening Than an Angry White Man”

CNN published a front page op-ed in the aftermath of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict titled, “There’s Nothing More Frightening Today Than an Angry White Man.”

The timing of the article is somewhat awkward given that a black career criminal just ploughed through a Christmas parade in Wisconsin, killing at least five and injuring dozens more, some of them children.

The op-ed, which is written by John Blake, attempts to smear Rittenhouse by lumping him in with QAnon radicals and others who took part in the January 6 raid on the Capitol as well as white supremacists who attended the ‘Unite the Right’ rally in Charlottesville.

Critic Blasts ‘Dangerous’ Facebook Power After Kyle Rittenhouse Verdict

Facebook exerts dangerous power over public discourse — and Exhibit A is the tech giant’s censorship of commentary on the Kyle Rittenhouse case, a media critic told The Post Saturday.

Rittenhouse was acquitted Friday of all charges against him stemming from the shooting of three men during riots in Kenosha, Wisc., last August. Two of those men, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, died of their injuries. Rittenhouse acted in lawful self-defense, a Wisconsin jury ruled.

Though Rittenhouse is legally presumed innocent until proven otherwise, the court of Facebook was considerably less impartial.

“One of the big things that they did was manipulate the search engine so you couldn’t even find any references to Kyle Rittenhouse,” Dan Gainor, vice president of the Media Research Center, told The Post. “They’re out of touch with normal people.”

Lightfoot Says Rittenhouse Judge ‘Put His Thumb on the Scale’ During Murder Trial

While Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot says that she respect’s the jury’s acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse in his Wisconsin murder trial, she had some strong words for Judge Bruce Schroeder’s handling of the case, saying that the judge “put his thumb on the scale” with some of his actions during the trial.

Speaking Monday at a press conference, Lightfoot says that the jury in the case was well-aware of their heavy responsibilities in the case, but that they took cues from Schroeder’s actions, which included allowing Rittenhouse to participate in the selection process of the final jury and in his interactions with prosecutors in the case.

“I’m an old trial lawyer, and I know when I see a judge putting his thumb on a scale for a particular result, I was not at all surprised,” she said. “Did he do well excluding evidence, not allowing the deceased to be called victims, not letting certain things go?”…

Loudoun County Sheriff Says School District Enabled Second Sexual Assault

The Loudoun County sheriff accused the school district’s superintendent of taking actions that enabled a male student who had sexually assaulted a girl in a girls’ restroom to go on to assault another student in another public school. Loudoun County Sheriff Michael Chapman made these claims in response to Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Superintendent Scott Ziegler, who had sent a letter accusing Chapman’s office of failing to meet the requirements of Virginia law in notifying LCPS about the charges the male student faced.

Chapman’s letter noted that Ziegler knew about the May 28 assault at Stone Bridge High School “the day it occurred,” and he noted that Juvenile Intake notified LCPS of the student’s arrest on July 9.

Meet the Progressive DA Behind the Waukesha Bail Catastrophe

“When we pay too little attention to the underlying causes and characteristics of individuals in the criminal justice system, we make significant errors, which can lead to greater problems,” Milwaukee County district attorney John Chisholm wrote in a 2019 paper about criminal justice reform.

That was before Chisholm conceded Monday that he had set an “inappropriately low” bail amount earlier this month when Darrell Edward Brooks Jr., the lead suspect in Sunday’s deadly car rampage in Waukesha, Wis., was arrested for domestic abuse and eluding police. Chisholm has been a leading figure among “progressive prosecutors,” leftwing lawmen who favor diversionary programs and community-building to locking up criminal defendants. His handling of the Brooks case is already sparking blowback to their growing influence over the justice system, much of which has been boosted by financial contributions from the leftwing billionaire George Soros.

The defendant posted $1,000 cash bail on November 11, resulting in his release from custody.”

Soros-Stooge Chesa Boudin Suddenly “Outraged” As Wave of Shoplifting Gangs Sweeps Bay Area

Authored by Monica Showalter via AmericanThinker.com

There’s nothing like a smarmy, smug, leftist who’s realized he’s cooked his own goose.

Which brings us to the case of Chesa Boudin, the district attorney of San Francisco who’s effectively legalized shoplifting in the name of “criminal justice reform.” He’s prompted massive store closures with ugly videos of broad daylight robberies on large and small stores. Boudin’s refusal to prosecute has turned San Francisco into another socialist crime-pit, Caracas. And now, like his mentor Hugo Chavez, he’s facing a voter recall.

Which seems to be concentrating his mind given that he’s suddenly changing his tune — and comically enough, fooling no one.

“That image is just stuck in my head like you see the car hit… it’s horrible. I feel like I can hear the screams, said Kaylee Staral.

Staral says she can’t quite wrap her head around Sunday’s attack at the Christmas parade in downtown Waukesha.

The Marquette University junior was there with her family who just moved to the city this summer.

“You just hear a bunch of screaming. And like the first thought is maybe it’s Santa Claus, right? Maybe Santa’s at the end of the parade and he’s coming down and people are excited. But it’s very clear, very quickly, that it’s not,” she said.

Video from main street Sunday showed the aftermath of a crowd in chaos, bag chairs abandoned, parents carrying their children away to safety, as first responders established a perimeter around their crime scene…

Wisconsin Christmas Parade Witness Recalls ‘Fully Intentional’ Attack: We’re ‘Lucky to be Alive’

Five killed, more than 40 injured after driver mows down parade-goers

Residents of Waukesha, Wisconsin are grieving after a tragic attack on their town’s Christmas parade Sunday night and witness Thomas Kluka, who protected his family from being hit, voiced on “The Story with Martha MacCallum” that the driver seemed to have malicious intent.

“It was fully intentional,” Kluka said. “He was trying to go around all the floats and everything and that’s how he got so close to us.”

He attended the parade with his wife and young daughter who he saved from being hit by the driver by pushing her out of harm’s way. The driver sped down the block where the parade marched on, killing five and injuring more than 40 people.

Austria’s COVID Lockdown is Dampening the Mood During This Holiday Season

Austrians savored one last mulled wine in packed Christmas markets before the curtain came down on the holiday season that was just getting underway, plunging the country that gave the world “Silent Night” into its fourth lockdown of this pandemic on Monday.

The capital, Vienna, awoke groggily to the new restrictions, with people heading to work, to bring children to school or to exercise outdoors, more or less as usual.

This was not the draconian lockdown of the pandemic’s dawn in 2020, when movements were strictly monitored and discouraged. Police cars circulated, in keeping with government promises to step up controls, but no spot checks were being made.

Czech Protesters Demand ‘Freedom’ as New COVID Restrictions Go Into Effect for the Unvaccinated

Protesters marched through the Czech capital of Prague on Monday to decry the government’s restrictions on unvaccinated people as new infections soared in the European Union nation.

The protesters, who numbered in the hundreds, demanded “Freedom!” for the unvaccinated and rejected the government’s push for people to get their vaccine shots.

They carried posters with pictures of politicians — including Prime Minister Andrej Babis, Health Minister Adam Vojtech and leading epidemiologists — calling them traitors. Unlike recent rallies in the Netherlands and Brussels, this protest was peaceful. The crowd was significantly smaller than a similar demonstration last week.

Polish PM’s Baltic Tour: Morawiecki Visits Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia

Mateusz Morawiecki’s visit to Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia in less than a day opens up a new diplomatic offensive which is meant to strengthen European unity in face of an increasingly brutal forms of hybrid warfare and inhumane blackmail utilized by the governments of Russia and Belarus.

This is the right move from Poland’s government. First, it is smart for those nations most affected by migration pressure — Poland, Lithuania and Latvia — or threatened by it (Estonia from the side of Russia), to produce a unified response. Yet, this also involves nations which, as Morawiecki underlined, remember Soviet rule and are seeing the similarities between today’s methods and that period, which are made up of propaganda, lies, cynicism and lack of respect for human lives and international law.

Rights Groups Push Back Against Greece’s “Fake News” Law

On November 11, the Greek Parliament passed a law that criminalized “fake news.” Human Rights Watch has called on the government to revoke the law as it violates the press freedom and the freedom of expression.

The law was an amendment from a similar law passed in 2019 that introduced penalties for “whoever, publicly or via the internet, spreads or disseminates false news in any way, causing fear to an indefinite number of people or to a certain circle or category of persons, who are thus forced to carry out unplanned acts or to cancel them, at the risk of cause of damage to the economy, tourism or defense capacity of the country or disrupt its international relations.”

The punishment was three years in prison or a fine.

The amended law criminalized spreading fake news “capable of causing concern or fear to the public or undermining public confidence in the national economy, the country’s defense capacity or public health.”

ISIS Using TikTok to Recruit Suicide Bombers to Carry Out Attacks Around Christmas: Report

The terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) has been found to be using the short-video social media platform TikTok to recruit young suicide bombers to carry out attacks during Christmas celebrations. According to a report published in Sun, there are dozens of accounts on the platform posting ISIS propaganda.

TikTok, a popular platform among youth, is being used to incite hatred towards non-Muslims.

The report suggests that one of the videos that they come across urged the supporters to initiate terrorist attacks in the Western countries during the Christmas holidays to induce mass casualty. The video described Christmas as “the celebration of the Kufar and Crusaders”. It said, “They do not believe in Allah, and they make fun of the sacred. They are Shaytan (Devil) slaves.” The video showed several scenes of Christmas markets and celebrations, and the narrator added, “Prepare yourself, O soldier of Allah to shed the blood of these Kufar.”

New Files Detail Level of Julian Assange’s Prison Torment

Authored by Kit Klarenberg via TheGrayZone.com

Documents provided exclusively to The Grayzone detail Canberra’s abandonment of Julian Assange, an Australian citizen, and provide shocking details of his prison suffering… Was the government of Australia aware of the US Central Intelligence Agency plot to assassinate Julian Assange, an Australian citizen and journalist arrested and now imprisoned under unrelentingly bleak, harsh conditions in the UK?

Why have the country’s elected leaders refused to publicly advocate for one of its citizens, who has been held on dubious charges and subjected to torture by a foreign power, according to UN Special Rapporteur on Torture Nils Melzer? What does Canberra know about Julian’s fate and when did it know it?

The Grayzone has obtained documents revealing that the Australian government has since day one been well-aware of Julian’s cruel treatment inside London’s maximum security Belmarsh Prison, and has done little to nothing about it. It has, in fact, turned a cold shoulder to the jailed journalist despite hearing his testimony of conditions “so bad that his mind was shutting down.”

  1. Aside from Kyle ( Congratulations, and good luck to the kid).
So- Called natives have no legal or historical claim to land ownership in North America.
These people were stone age savages. They had no written language; therefore they have no history!
They had no legal system and no system of property ownership. no property deeds or legal recognition of land ownership.
therefore , it follows that so-called “natives’ have no claim to land ownership.
    QED.
This land belongs to the white man.

  2. “In other news, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said that the judge in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial “put his thumb on the scale” in favor of the defendant.”

For goodness sake. people, especially high-ranking people must not, should not, say random things whimsically, without a solid base and with the presentation of evidence.

This is not called freedom of speech. This is freedom of stupidity. People must learn

principles of justice. If there is no justice: no system, no democracy will survive.

Chaos will rule, as is in the west.

The best system of democracy is not commensurate with how many 11-year-olds are raped, murders committed, and how easily they are let go free.

western countries are being undermined by freedom wrongly understood, and by shopping jihadis for votes at the expense of the destruction of the nation.

Last days people will become selfish and wolves in suits. No neckties as
    hypocritical symbol of humility.

we need putting limits to evil things with determination, and “others” must not undermine that.

If someone asks / or builds / a wall to keep out criminals immediately the “rival party” will call out that. That’s criminal when you cannot put an end to criminal

    things and opportunites.

  3. CNN Publishes Op-Ed: “Nothing More Frightening Than an Angry White Man”

    Good, and about time too.

  4. So maybe even the judge can get millions of $ suing for libel, slander, and defamation! Then, if the prosecutors can be disbarred and jailed it will be a complete victory!

  5. The actions of the Polish government exposed the lie of the German chancellor that the border cannot be effectively defended. Ordinary Germans saw it Dear Ned … I know German and I browse German newspapers on the Internet, especially Die Welt, which is not a niche magazine, but a mainstream newspaper, especially I am interested in information about Poland. The comments on the articles posted there are very interesting to read.

    Support for Poland
Well, reading these comments confirms what is happening on the border, practically 100 percent of commenters fully support the attitude of Poland and the position of the Polish government. There are many thanks for the Polish services, the Polish Army, the Police, and the Border Guard. There are even questions about the account number to which money could be deposited to secure the border and to support the personnel who defend it.

I have the impression that many Germans are losing confidence in the elite (which is something new in Germany in itself), the result of Merkel’s party is the best example of this, but at the same time they see no sensible alternative. In this context, the current Polish government is a great threat to the status quo, because it shows (and not only says) that a reasonable policy is possible, that an alternative to what the German chancellor did in 2015 does not have to be some “fascism”, some ” fortress-Europe ”, but that it is possible to effectively control the border, and at the same time help political refugees and pursue a reasonable policy of legal emigration.

I think many Germans would be very surprised, especially in the context of the present defense of the Polish-Belarusian border, that the Polish government, this allegedly extreme-right and nationalist PiS government, presented to them as the embodiment of all evil, issues more permanent residence permits for foreigners than titans of openness such as Germany or France, or that several thousand Belarusians who fled their country after the last elections, found refuge in Poland.

    • Sorry for Polish text..Polish part in English :
.It is worth emphasizing that we are only talking about one issue here – migration. And yet in other fields, such as the economy, the current Polish government is also very successful. Perhaps that is why it is so attacked. Does anyone in the EU discuss, in the context of the rule of law, about corruption-drowning Bulgaria, where parliamentary elections have been held for the third time in a row in one year? Is anyone discussing the murders of inconvenient journalists in Slovakia or Malta? Is anyone discussing the Netherlands starting to sink into drug crime?

A pebble that will cause an avalanche?
One can risk a thesis that what Poland is doing now in the matter of the border triggers some social dynamics in Germany, the long-term effects of which we do not see yet. After all, we know that sometimes much smaller events can trigger powerful processes. I think that in Poland we often underestimate how many people observe what is happening with us. OK, we will also agree that the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, say Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine. But does anyone in the West care what is happening in Poland? Well, it does. It has been a long time since the German media paid so much attention to Poland.

If I read a comment under an article in Die Welt, where someone writes, I quote from memory, in my translation: “As a child of the expelled, I never thought that I would ever say these words – Thank you, Poland!”, And the words “Thank you, Poland” are in this German comment in Polish, and the remaining 100 or 200 comments are in a similar tone, it seems to me that something important is beginning to change.

      • You cannot allow the 3rd world into Europe for any reason, Period! It always ends in bloodshed, as you are about to learn.

        • Especially the wealthy desert dwelling 3rd world infiltrators who purchase football clubs art, land, property, scientific and research establishments, military and technological expertise
to name but a few, while waging war against us.

        • We in Poland allow Ukrainian and Belarusian people..They are Polish by a blood, faith ,language and Culture..Unfortunately Brits and Americans in Yalta 1945 give them as a Slaves to Stalin Communists Russia with our ancestral land..
This Biblical proportions Crime and Betrayal by USA and UK will never be forgotten..

          • It was the communist/socialist FDR regime that did this. America is, once again, suffering under the hands of the ancestors of these tyrants.

  6. Part 2..Prime Minister Morawiecki German chancellor? :-))
The headbull was an interview with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki for Bild. Die Welt reported on this interview on his website. All the comments can be described in one word – enthusiasm for the Polish prime minister. Many commentators regret that such a person is not the German chancellor. At the same time, many commentators pay attention to what the Prime Minister said that the border can be effectively protected and juxtapose these words with Merkel’s statements that the border cannot be protected. This enthusiasm was perhaps too great, because the article was removed from the main page quite quickly.

I noticed one more interesting thing. Earlier, the issues of the rule of law, the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal, etc. were covered quite extensively. Mr Fritz is in the lead here, needless to say, that he reports these matters in an extremely biased and unfavorable manner for the Polish government. Well, at the beginning, most of the comments on the alleged attack on the independence of judges, not all, but probably most, were unfavorable to Poland – in the spirit (and in a nutshell) that there are certain rules in the EU and if they do not suit someone, he should leave the EU . And in the spirit that Poles get so much money from the EU that it is enough to turn off the tap and you will immediately bring them to order. But when it comes to the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal on the superiority of the Constitution over the law of the EU, most comments were favorable – it was emphasized that the EU institutions usurped competences that they do not have. It was also emphasized that the accusation that politicians have an influence on the appointment of judges is simply ridiculous in Germany, because the head of the Constitutional Tribunal there is a party colleague of Merkel.

The curiosity of the current situation
A few days ago, Mr. Fritz again proclaimed an article about Poland disregarding the judgments of the EU tribunals. But this propaganda seems to no longer work, because this time 95 percent of the comments were held in the tone that justice issues are an internal matter for the member states and EU institutions should not get involved in it. It was emphasized that the EU and Germany should support Poland for defending the border instead of constantly attacking it. People are asking more and more often why Poland is freezing resources from the reconstruction fund in this situation.

I have the impression that many people in Germany are beginning to hear the curiosity of the current situation, when Poland makes a huge effort to defend the border, and at the same time is constantly attacked by EU institutions. Some time ago, one of the Karnowski brothers asked in his comment a question – do the German elites really do not hear these shouts of “Germany !, Germany!” on the Polish-Belarusian border. Well, I don’t know about the elite, but ordinary Germans can certainly hear them. You can see it very clearly in the comments. Many people emphasize this, some are even surprised that Poland makes such a great effort, since the target of migrants is Germany anyway. Germany remembers the decision to open the borders in 2015 and the effects of this decision, and observes what is happening on the Polish-Belarusian border with horror.

    Exposing the lie from 2015
The current crisis has many facets. It is emphasized that we have already won to some extent, because we have shown that we are a country that is able to resist effectively. This is true, but it seems to me that one more aspect should be noticed – the actions of the Polish government have exposed the lie of the German chancellor – that the border cannot be effectively defended. German society sees this very clearly. People are beginning to wonder why Germany cannot protect the border, if Poland can? And they immediately put forward the assumption that maybe they can’t but don’t want to, that is, the political elite doesn’t want to. I have the impression that more and more Germans are starting to lose trust in the German elite. In this context, showing by Poland that a different policy is possible has its strength.

In our outward-facing communications, Poland highlights two points

-Firstly, we definitely protect our border, but at the same time we are the EU champion when it comes to legal emigration. Currently, no country in the EU issues as many permits to foreigners for permanent residence as Poland, i.e. at the level of several hundred thousand permits per year.

-The second issue: after the last elections in Belarus, Poland accepted about 10,000 political refugees. Only this information gives the full picture of the situation. This is something that CNN journalists for example should be told, compared to the fact that not only migrants in the South are not allowed entry in the US, but also political refugees from Cuba. None other than President Obama has signed an agreement with the Cuban regime to send back the so-called boat-people back to Cuba, despite facing political repression there.

Best regards from the Polish Border .. as the commander of the 6th Wing, the 21st battalion Podhalan Riffles -National Guard ..
