On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) argued that if “this were just ordinary inflation, we might see prices go up. But prices at the pump have gone up,” because the increase in gas prices “isn’t about inflation. This is about price gouging for these guys.”

A Hollow Kind of Freedom

Now it’s time to wake up, stand up, and take our country back. Quit electing candidates you know are lying to you. Stop putting people in leadership positions when they have absolutely no clue what you and the rest of working-class America have to deal with on a daily basis. Find some quality leaders who have proven themselves in other professions—in real jobs, not beltway consultancies—and put them in places where they can make a difference. Soldiers, cops, truck drivers, nurses, warehouse managers, whoever has that required leadership experience, get them into office or into institutions that impact our traditional way of life. If we don’t, we can expect the continued downward spiral of our way of life and the upward tick of the misery index.

Biden Treasury Nominee Saule Omarova Was Once Arrested for Shoplifting at TJ Maxx, Police Records Show

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) was arrested for allegedly shoplifting merchandise at a TJ Maxx, according to a police report.

Cornell Law School professor Saule Omarova, who Biden picked to head the OCC in September, was arrested in 1995 for an alleged retail theft of $214 in TJ Maxx merchandise, according to police records posted by the American Accountability Foundation, a conservative watchdog group. Her arrest had previously been reported by Fox News, but the police report offers new details on the incident.

She asked to pay for the items, and cooperated fully with the security guard, according to the report. Her charges were later dropped through Wisconsin’s first offender program, Fox News reported.

Omarova’s Senate Banking Committee hearing is scheduled for Thursday, and she is likely to meet stiff opposition from Republicans who have harshly criticized her policy positions. She has called for the federal government to “bankrupt” the oil and gas industry in order to address climate change, and has also refused to hand over her thesis titled “Karl Marx’s Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution” to members of the banking committee.

Bill Maher Defends Parents Opposed to Critical Race Theory

Comedian Bill Maher defended parents who are against critical race theory on Wednesday, saying he doesn’t think anyone is against teaching about the history of racism in schools but not that it’s the “essence” of America.

“There’s something going on in the schools that never went on before,” Maher, the host of “Real Time” on HBO, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “Now I’m not in schools, I have no interaction with children whatsoever, but I do understand this issue because I read accounts from parents, from educators.”

He said when he was a student he learned a little about slavery and racism but it was cursory and he didn’t learn it “viscerally” so he thinks teaching an “honest history of racism” would be good, but “that’s different than teaching that racism is the essence of America.”

Breaking: Armed Man Arrested Outside Rittenhouse Trial

Update: The man’s name is Jonathan David Clark, 37, from Kentucky. He has been charged with possession of a firearm within 1000 feet of a school.

Original story follows:

On Thursday afternoon, as the nation continues to wait for the verdict on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, a man reportedly armed with a knife was arrested outside the courthouse in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Videos of the incident show police arresting a man dressed all in black across the street from the courthouse

While the police searched the man, one officer hands a bag that was strapped to the man’s side over to another officer. The officer appears to hand over a knife that the man had on him.

His arrest comes less than 24 hours after two were arrested on Wednesday evening.

Chase Pulled Payment Processing for Donald Trump Jr. Event

JPMoragan Chase Bank, one of the biggest banks in the US, canceled a deal to provide online payment processing for a Missouri-based conservative group that’s organizing a Donald Trump Jr. event.

The Defense of Liberty PAC was organizing an event to be held on December 3 at the St. Charles Convention Center in St. Charles, Missouri. Donald Trump Jr. was expected to attend the event.

The conservative PAC used WePay, a JPMorgan Chase-owned payment processor, to process payments for the events.

On November 9, the company told Paul Curtman, the founder of the PAC, that it had canceled the contract and would be refunding the $30,000 already processed. The email also stated that the company would no longer do business with the organization in the future.

[Comment: The article further reports that Chase reversed its decision.]

Exclusive: Kyle Rittenhouse Prosecutors Held Back High-Def Drone Footage of Kenosha Shootings From Defense and Gave Them Low Quality Video — Sparking Them to File Mistrial Motion That Could See Teen Walk Free

Prosecutors in the Kenosha shooter trial withheld evidence from the defense that was ‘at the center of their case,’ only sharing the high-definition drone video footage on which they have hung their prosecution after the trial had concluded, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger played the enhanced drone footage to the jury during his closing statements and claimed that it showed Rittenhouse ‘pointing his gun’ at people — an assertion that opened the door to the state claiming Rittenhouse provoked the violence of the night of August 25, 2020.

Now, in the motion obtained by DailyMail.com, Rittenhouse’s defense insist that the state only shared it with the defense after evidence had closed on Saturday November 13.

Explainer: How the Rittenhouse Jury Was Narrowed

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — Kyle Rittenhouse played a direct role in choosing, albeit randomly, the final 12 jurors who are deciding his innocence or guilt in the murder trial over his killing two protesters and wounding a third last summer.

At the direction of Circuit Judge Bruce Schroder, Rittenhouse’s attorney placed slips of paper into a raffle drum with the numbers of each of the 18 jurors on it who sat through the two-week trial. The drum had been sitting on a window ledge throughout the trial but was placed in front of Rittenhouse at the defense table Tuesday.

With the jury watching, Rittenhouse then selected six pieces of paper from the drum, each bearing a number that corresponded to a juror. A court official then read aloud the numbers of the jurors being dismissed: 11, 58, 14, 45, 9 and 52. The names of the jurors have not been made public.

The dismissed jurors aren’t among the final 12 deliberating the case. But they were required to remain in the courthouse, at the request of the defense, until the jury returned with a verdict.

On Tuesday afternoon, in response to questions about the drawing hours earlier, Schroeder said he’s been having defendants pull the numbers of alternate jurors from the drum for roughly 20 years.

Without the jury present on Wednesday, Schroeder again defended the unusual arrangement, saying critics were trying to “undermine the result of the trial.” Schroeder said he had read news accounts “about how bizarre and unusual it was to have the defendant pick the numbers out of the tumbler yesterday. And I would admit that I don’t know that there’s a large number of courts to do that, maybe not any…

The Biden Regime Will Turn the Military on the People Unless We Push Back

The Biden regime has no moral compunction against using force at home to impose its will. The barriers are practical, not ideological. Biden, in June of this year, mocked “gun-rights advocates” as a defense against tyranny. They would need “F-15s and nuclear weapons” to defeat the state, Biden claimed.

Implicit in this apparently weird statement is the acknowledgement that his administration would not hesitate to turn its full military might, including atomic bombs, against the populace in a war. The state, the coldest of cold monsters, headed by an endless mob of Anthony Faucis would not hesitate to impose its will in the most brutal manner possible.

Czechia: Vaclav Klaus: Communism Wasn’t Defeated, It Collapsed

“The fall of communism had a global character. Neither our students nor our dissidents defeated communism. Three days into its quarantine for the unjabbed, which prevents those who haven’t had both doses from being allowed outside for anything other than “essential” reasons, daily infections surpassed 14,000 for the first time since the pandemic began.

Numerous hospitals are still at breaking point despite the unvaccinated having been forced to self-isolate.

Germany Toughens Rules for Unvaccinated People as New COVID Wave Hits

Germany moved to toughen restrictions for unvaccinated people on Thursday to tackle a rising wave of coronavirus infections.

Chancellor Angela Merkel said the steps would not have been necessary if more people were vaccinated.

She said Germany was in a “very dramatic” situation which could put severe strain on hospitals if infections are not brought under control.

Under rules agreed upon by Ms Merkel and Germany’s 16 state leaders, regions will have to limit events to vaccinated and recovered people once pressure on hospitals reaches a certain level.

‘Merkel is Talking to Minsk and Moscow Alone’ — Poland Warns Germany Not to Make Any Secret Deal With Belarus

Top Polish politicians are warning that German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s phone calls to Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko are not welcome, and that any deals made that exclude Poland will not be implemented.

Polish President Andrzej Duda stated that one of the subjects of his conversation with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier were Merkel’s recent phone calls to Lukashenko, with Duda explaining that he told Steinmeier that “Poland will not acknowledge any agreements which will be made, as they say, ‘over our heads.’“

The Polish president stressed that if any agreements were to be made that would be binding for Poland and the Polish government, then those will be agreements made solely by the Polish government, according to Polish news outlet Forsal.pl. Otherwise, the Polish side has no intention of implementing them.

Israel Should Not Let the U.S. Reopen Its Palestinian Consulate in Jerusalem

Last Wednesday, in response to a question from Sen. Bill Hagerty, (R-Tenn.), U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Brian McKeon admitted in testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that under both U.S. and international law, the United States cannot open a consulate in Jerusalem without Israel’s consent. In other words, the prospect of the Biden administration opening a consulate to the Palestinians in Israel’s capital city without requesting Israel’s permission to violate Israel’s sovereignty in Jerusalem is off the table.

Given the Biden administration’s near-obsessive determination to open a consulate to the Palestinians in Jerusalem, it’s just a matter of time before it presents an offer it believes Israel will be unable to refuse.

Lab Leak Theory Gains New Traction After Recent Revelations

The lab leak theory, which has gained traction over the course of the pandemic in regards to where it originated, has new evidence that may back up its basis.

According to The Spectator, in September, a team of French and Laotian scientists discovered a virus closely related to SARS-CoV-2, in a horseshoe bat living in a cave in the Laotian province of Vientiane.

While other viruses have been discovered in Asian countries neighboring China, as well as China itself, Banal-52 has proven to be the most genetically similar to the virus that caused the pandemic.

RaTG13, the human SARS-CoV-2 virus, was collected in southern Yunnan in 2013, and was stored in a freezer in Wuhan.

“RaTG13, which had been stored for six years in a freezer in a lab in Wuhan itself, is genetically 96.1 percent the same as SARS-CoV-2; Laos’s Banal-52 is 96.8 percent,” according to The Spectator.

Malign Foreign Influence: China’s United Front

China obsesses over what the world thinks of it. Its rise to rival the US as the world’s greatest economic superpower includes a strong psychological element. China seeks not to be feared, but as having peaceful intentions. Looking at its use of “united front” tactics reveals how China’s messaging seeks to convince gullible people in the West that Chinese interests are really their interests, too. This is one example where Chinese communism borrows “Russian characteristics,” using the old Soviet tactic of “united front” groups that wittingly or not do their bidding.

Within the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the United Front Work Department (UFWD), a bureaucracy that oversees the CCP’s foreign-influence network. In recent years, concern has grown about UFWD’s efforts to influence how Western democracies view China. A report from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute warned UFWD and other affiliated organizations have worked among the elites of many countries to influence foreign opinions of China.

According to the report, these networks operate covertly or deceptively. The effort “undermines social cohesion, exacerbates racial tension, influences politics, harms media integrity, facilitates espionage, and increases unsupervised technology transfer” outside China’s borders.

Main Migrant Camps on Polish Border Evacuated by Belarus as Crisis Continues

Belarus authorities on Thursday cleared the main camps where migrants had huddled at the border with Poland, in a change of tack that could help calm a crisis that has spiralled in recent weeks into a major East-West confrontation.

However, the European Commission and Germany rejected a Belarus proposal that EU countries take in 2,000 of the migrants currently on its territory, and the United States accused Minsk of making migrants “pawns in its efforts to be disruptive”, signalling tensions with the West were far from over.

Top EU Court Raises Soros-Backed NGO Above the Law With Latest Ruling Against Hungary

Despite the ruling of the European Court of Justice to the contrary, the Hungarian government’s position on the issue of immigration remains unchanged: illegal migration must be stopped and the organizations that facilitate it must be opposed, Fidesz MEP Balazs Hidvéghi said in a video posted on Facebook on Wednesday.

According to Hidvéghi, with this astonishing judgment, the European Court has now practically raised the Soros organizations that manage illegal migration above the law, thus indirectly trying to persuade Hungary to accept human trafficking.

“Let’s make it clear: the ‘Stop Soros law’ was hindering the supporters of immigration and that’s why it has been stricken down. Brussels did not give up its plans to allow illegal immigration and support the organizations managing it,” Hidvéghi said.

  1. “Is it Time to Stop Demonising Dairy? For Years We’ve Been Warned That the Fat in Cheese and Milk is Bad for Our Health. Yet New Studies Suggest Dairy May Actually be Good for Us… And Even Help Prevent Disease”

It’s really not that hard: fresh, local, traditionally produced food of any kind is good for you, as long as you eat it in moderation. Industrially produced “food” full of sugar (particularly high fructose corn sirup) and the bad kinds of fat are bad even in moderation.
In other words: buy from local farmers and cook your own food, don’t rely on fastfood chains and microwaved tv dinners (or treat yourself like once a week if you absolutely have to) and drink tea instead of sodas.

I know there are parts of America where getting fresh stuff is really hard and/or expensive, but you can always grow your own. Tomatoes and cucumbers produce like mad almost on their own and they don’t need much space – one year I had just two mini-plants on a window sill and they gave me plenty of fruit all summer, all they needed was some water every other day or so and some fertilizer once during the season. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. Or you can take the trip to a farmer once every few months and just freeze and otherwise store all of it. It’s really not that hard and where’s a wilk, there’s a way.
