While Other Countries Lost Jobs During Pandemic, Hungary Improved Employment Rate

Macroeconomic data is providing evidence that the Hungarian government’s crisis management strategy to offset the damages of the coronavirus pandemic is working, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjartó said.

“There was a sharp difference between the different government strategies, and now we can take stock. It shows that all those who put up with the fact that there would be mass unemployment anyway and could not or did not want to prevent factory closures have badly failed,” he said, adding that “on the other hand, the measures of the Hungarian government, which focused on preventing mass unemployment and supporting the expansion of companies’ capacity, proved to be absolutely successful.”

In his speech, he called it “unique” that over the past year and a half, non-financial and direct economic reasons have triggered an “amazing” crisis. He pointed out that more than 110 million jobs were lost globally and investment fell by 40 percent. However, Hungary managed to buck this trend and managed to increase its employment rate.

Biden Administration Says Federal Contractors Should Gradually Fire Unvaccinated Employees

If you’re a federal contractor, the official guidelines stipulated by the US government dictate they’ll kick you out the door slowly rather than immediately, if you don’t comply with getting a COVID-19 vaccine.

Today it’s being reported that the Biden administration is being more subtle with the earlier notion of “get vaxxed or you’re fired” impression that President Joe Biden left after his Sept. 9 speech mandating COVID-19 vaccines in both the public and private sectors. The federal government’s corporate vaccine mandate applies to all employers with 100 or more employees.

Blue State Blues: Record Number of Students Flee Nation’s Largest Public School Districts

This week the three largest public school districts in the U.S. announced that they are in the middle of a massive and continuing problem: record low enrollment numbers.

The New York Times reported that since the fall of 2019 enrollment in New York City’s (NYC) public school system—the nation’s largest district—has dropped by about 50,000 students or 4.5%. The numbers are even worse in the nation’s second-largest public school district, where the Los Angeles Times reported the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) lost a record of more than 27,000 students or 6.0% of its enrollment since 2019. The third-largest district’s numbers are just as bad in Chicago’s public schools (CPS), where WTTW reported enrollment is down nearly 25,000 students or 3.0% over the same time.

Chicago Judge Suspends City’s Vaccine Deadline for Police Officers

A Chicago judge on Monday suspended the Dec. 31 deadline for police officers to get vaccinated, blocking Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s vaccine mandate from taking effect.

Cook County Judge Raymond Mitchell issued the ruling, sending the “parties back to the bargaining table” in order to resolve certain grievances raised by the police union.

According to Fox News, the city can still place officers on administrative leave if they do not disclose their vaccine status, however, they cannot be fired until an arbiter decides the labor disputes.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and the city’s top cop on Saturday demanded answers to the still-unsolved shooting of a 4-year-old boy who was killed while getting his hair braided on Labor Day weekend.

Their press conference came 59 days after Mychal Moultry Jr.’s death and over another holiday weekend, as Chicago saw six people killed and 26 others wounded in gun violence. There were 24 shooting incidents recorded by the Chicago Police Department from 6 p.m. Friday until before midnight Sunday, a period when children and other party revelers celebrated Halloween.

CNN Analyst Compares Pilot’s “Let’s Go Brandon” Quip to Declaration of Support for ISIS

CNN analyst Asha Rangappa compared a Southwest Airlines pilot’s pre-flight “let’s go Brandon!” quip to a declaration of support for ISIS.

Yes, really.

On a Friday morning Southwest flight from Houston to Albuquerque, the pilot uttered the phrase over the public address system. The quip has become a viral meme intended to mean “F*** Joe Biden.”

This immediately prompted a leftist meltdown, with one AP reporter, who admitted she “sounded insane,” attempting to enter a closed cockpit in an effort to chastise the pilot.

Facebook Updates Vaccine Censorship Policies for Statements About Vaccinating Kids Aged 5-11

Earlier this year, when COVID-19 vaccines started rolling out, Facebook introduced new policies to censor “misinformation.”

Now, the company has extended the policies to include kids, after the FDA authorized the emergency use of the Pfizer jab for kids between the ages of 5 and 11.

The company said it will start sending in-feed reminders in English and Spanish to its US users to remind them that the vaccine is currently available for children. The reminders will have a link containing information on the nearest vaccination center.

Federal Judge Blocks Hospital System From Placing Unvaccinated Workers on Unpaid Leave

A federal judge blocked a Chicago-based hospital system from allegedly putting unvaccinated workers with religious exemptions on unpaid administrative leave.

According to the Epoch Times, more than a dozen workers at NorthShore hospital in Chicago filed a lawsuit arguing that the vaccine mandate was making them choose between their religion or their job.

The employees were allowed religious exemptions by their employer, but they were subsequently forced to take a leave of absence because the hospital believed having unvaccinated workers around patients is “unnecessarily risky.”

“They can’t be fired and they can’t be placed on what is effectively, in my mind, unpaid leave,” said U.S. District Judge John Kness in his ruling on Friday.

Halyna Hutchins Remembered as Gifted Cinematographer

NEW YORK (AP) — Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was fatally shot by Alec Baldwin, traveled far during her 42 years. She grew up on a remote Soviet military base and worked on documentary films in Eastern Europe before studying film in Los Angeles and embarking on a promising movie-making career.

Hutchins was shot with a prop gun Thursday on the set of the Western “Rust” near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Court records released Friday indicated that an assistant director handed Baldwin a loaded weapon and told him it was safe to use. Detectives were investigating.

On her Instagram page, Hutchins identified herself as a “restless dreamer” and “adrenaline junkie.” In recent days, she posted several images from the set, including an early morning shot of a cloudy desert sky, a video of herself riding horseback during a day off and a photo of the crew gathered to express solidarity with union members. The members of the IATSE union were seeking a new contract and threatened to strike before a settlement was reached last weekend.

According to her website, she grew up on the Soviet base in the Arctic Circle and was “surrounded by reindeer and nuclear submarines.” She received a graduate degree in international journalism from Kyiv National University in Ukraine, worked on British documentary productions in Eastern Europe and graduated from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2015. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Hutchins, with whom she had a son…

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ £48million Gulf Stream has led a 400-strong parade of private jets into COP25 including Prince Albert of Monaco, scores of royals and dozens of ‘green’ CEOs — as an extraordinary traffic jam forced empty planes to fly 30 miles to find space to park.

Ohio School Board Drops Mask Mandate Weeks After Kicking Senate Candidate Josh Mandel Out of Meeting

An Ohio school district that started the school year enforcing a mask mandate has now reversed course on forcing students to cover their faces. Responding to the board’s reversal of its mask mandate, Mandel told Breitbart News: “We the people will not be intimidated by out-of-touch school bureaucrats or power-hungry politicians.”

‘The Game is Elimination’: Supporters Rally Outside Now-Closed Without Papers Pizza

As you may have seen, Without Papers Pizza in Calgary has been a recent target of Alberta Health Services. In Calgary, a vaccine bylaw was passed that demands business owners across the board discriminate against their clientele by checking their vaccine status.

This is something the owner of Without Papers Pizza could not do, and because of his love for all — vaccinated or unvaccinated — health authorities shut his business down. If you’re interested in supporting the business, be sure to visit Without Papers Instagram page.

In our last report, a wave of supporters came not only for free pizza, but to show their support for frontline workers. As has happened to the staff at Without Papers, vaccines mandates are expected to cause thousands of frontline workers to lose their jobs — a decision that some would argue runs contrary to the betterment of public health.

This brings us to today’s report.

Once again, demonstrators came to support both Without Papers Pizza and our frontline workers. Have a look and see what they have to say about the situation as Alberta’s vaccine mandate is set to come into effect.

Cash and Profits in British Politics

by Sergio Restelli

A debate on the human rights situation in Kashmir was organized on 23 September by the backbenchers in the House of Commons of the British Parliament. While the debate itself was full of the usual platitudes by British MPs who still believe in the power of Pax Britannia and its muscle as the colonial power, what is often lost in the din is how some of these MPs operate from behind the veil of charity and political activism around ostensibly noble causes, and get paid for it either in terms of votes or dodgy donations by Pakistani-origin businessmen or all-expenses paid trips funded by the Pakistan government. Far from being hauled up for financial gain in exchange for pushing the agenda of their benefactors and donors, such behaviour is condoned and pushed under the carpet.

The foul language used by some of the Pakistan-origin MPs in the Kashmir debate undoubtedly drew criticism from neutral colleagues. Trying to cover her tracks, one of the Labor MPs leading the debate, Debbie Abrahams, who was deported from India in 2020, tried to lamely deflect the flak coming her way by saying that the debate was “not to be read as ‘pro-or anti’ any country as the lawmakers were only speaking in defense of human rights”. The same Debbie Abrahams, regularly riles against the government of Israel and in a recent tweet, called for the UK government to suspend arms sales to Israel. Who can take exception to such high principles that the Hon. Abrahams espoused? The only problem is that for the MP in question, human rights are not universal; they are only to be defended if there is any alleged violation in Jammu and Kashmir or Palestine, and that too if someone funds her for it. Ever since she became an MP in 2011, Ms. Abrahams has raised the issue of Kashmir on 21 different occasions and in various formats in the British Parliament. But how many times has she spoken about the genocide of Uighur Muslims in China or the horrible human rights situation in Balochistan where thousands have been killed and thousands more subjected to ‘enforced disappearances’ by the Pakistani authorities? The plight of Rohingya Muslims — once. Surprised? Don’t be, because her concern for human rights depends on whether someone pays for it or not.

After she was deported from India, Abrahams went on a fully funded trip to Pakistan-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK). According to the Register of Members’ Interest filed by her after the trip on March 20, 2020, she declared that the Pakistan High Commission paid £15,590 for a four day trip for her and two staffers. Interestingly, on exactly the same dates 6 more MPs also visited PoJK were part of the same delegation (all paid for by the Pakistan High Commission) and they declared that the total cost was £2290. The math does not make sense, does it? Six MPs spending just under £2300 while three people (Abrahams and her staffers spending almost 6 times that amount? Did Ms. Abrahams push her accounts by almost £13,300? Incidentally, four of the six MPs who visited PoJK with Abrahams also spouted venom against New Delhi in the Kashmir debate…

Exclusive: In Response to Crackdown on Polish Sovereignty, Poland Should Withdraw From EU’s Insane Climate Policy, Says MEP Patryk Jaki

Could you comment on the decision delivered by the European Court of Justice on Oct. 27? I am referring to that daily fine of €1 million imposed on Poland for failing to completely suspend its Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Chamber. This comes after the Polish Constitutional Court ruled in July that the ECJ was acting outside the EU’s jurisdiction when issuing an interim order concerning Poland’s Disciplinary Chamber and that executing such an order would go contrary to the Polish constitution. Has the jurisdictional conflict between the EU and Poland turned into a full-fledged war?

I would prefer that the term “war” be reserved for military issues, although I know that in politics it is often misused. However, it is undoubtedly an attempt to deprive Poland of its sovereignty. Poland, of course, has agreed to be part of the European Union, but only on very precisely defined terms enshrined in the treaties. The most important part of what we are talking about is Article 5 of the Treaty and the so-called principle of conferral. Generally speaking, what it tells us is that the EU is not a state. Consequently, it can only have those powers which are voluntarily conferred upon it by the member states. As it happens, Poland has never conferred powers upon the European Union to deal with the organization of its judiciary. This matter is solely a matter of national law and not EU law.

German Companies Creating Segregated Canteens for Vaccinated and Unvaccinated

Major companies in Germany are segregating their employees by creating canteens for vaccinated people and separate areas for the unvaccinated, who will be forced to continue to follow social distancing and mask mandates.

Pharmaceuticals giant Bayer, energy company Eon, and travel company Alltours are all set to impose the new rules, which will see the unvaccinated treated like second class citizens.

“In the ‘2G’ areas for vaccinated and recovered people, employees would be allowed to eat together under completely normal conditions, while those who are not vaccinated or do not provide information about their vaccination status would have to continue to live with rules on social distancing, mask wearing and partitions during meals,” reports the Local.

Nigel Farage has called for the United Kingdom to suspend Brexit divorce payments to the European Union if France fails to back down from trade war threats in the English Channel.

The Brexit leader noted on Monday that Britain is still on the hook for billions of pounds to the EU, agreed to by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement last year, and therefore has leverage in the ongoing dispute with the French on fishing licenses.

Majority of Swiss Refuse to Pay More for Fuel, Heating to Meet Climate Change Goals — Survey

The majority of Swiss are reluctant to fund climate change goals from their own pocket, a new survey has shown.

Younger people, and those living in rural areas, are especially unwilling to pay more for gas, heating and air travel.

The 2050 carbon neutrality goals, outlined by the Switzerland authorities, are out of step with the population’s readiness to pay increasingly higher bills to fund them, according to a new survey. The poll, conducted among some 23,000 people, was commissioned by the Tamedia and 20 Minuten media groups early in October with its findings published Sunday.

After examining data from the Swedish Crime Prevention Council, Germany’s Bild newspaper writes that “Sweden is the most dangerous country in Europe.”

Italy Mustn’t Treat Us Like Hamas Says Israel Envoy

Eitan ruling shows independence of judges Eydar tells ANSA Forum

(ANSA) — ROME, OCT 26 — Italy mustn’t treat Israeli like Hamas, Israeli Ambassador to Rome Dror Eydar told a Forum at ANSA Tuesday.

“Italy is a great friend. the Israeli prefer Italy to all European countries, but Italy’s abstention” on the UN resolutions against Israel and in particular the last one on operations in Gaza “was the most painful for us” because “for us abstention means treating Israel and Hamas in a similar way”, he said.

Eydar added that an Israeli court’s decision to send back to Italy Eitan Biran, the orphaned six-year-old Israeli boy who was the sole survivor of the Mottarone mountain cable-car disaster in Piedmont in May and was taken out of Italy by his maternal grandfather last month, was “proof of the independence of the legal system in Israel”.

He added: “let’s wait for the appeal, but in the meantime I wish him a good life”.

China Using Stolen U.S. Tech to ‘To Build a Military That Can Defeat Ours, ‘ Says Ex-CIA Officer

China is using stolen American technology against the U.S. “to build a military that can defeat ours,” according to a retired CIA officer.

The U.S. government needs to develop a better strategy against the Chinese espionage campaign, David Sauer told The Epoch Times’ sister media NTD on Friday.

Shanghai Disneyland Sparks Chaos as 33,000 Visitors Locked-Down, Forced to Undergo COVID Testing

On Sunday, Shanghai Disneyland went into partial lockdown after a woman who visited the park tested positive for COVID-19. Hours before the night of Halloween, the park temporarily suspended entry of any new guests and requested tens of thousands within the facility to undergo testing before exiting.

The government and Disneyland staff sealed off the entire venue. A few rides were open, but it was utterly bizarre that hundreds of people in full medical hazmat suits were dispatched to the park after one person tested positive for the virus. Everyone inside, approximately 33,000, had to take a nucleic acid COVID-19 test before exiting.

Hungary: Orban’s Top Election Contender Supports Mass Immigration, And Its a Major Liability

Hungary’s left-wing coalition opposition’s new leading candidate, Péter Marki-Zay, is being presented as a conservative, but his open borders position and liberal attitude towards migration is proving a liability in Hungary.

Fearing a loss in the polls, he tries to hide the fact that, like Former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany, he would open the border to the masses of illegal migrants.

As candidate for prime minister of the left, Marki-Zay gave a presentation at a conference in the Gellért Hotel in Budapest in the autumn of 2020, where he spoke mockingly about Viktor Orban wanting to stop migrants, tying it to an unwillingness to try new things, such as genetically modified organism (GMO) crops.

Lukashenko Trapped in His Schemes as Migrants Pile Up in Belarus

Belarusians are starting to complain about the accumulation of Middle Eastern migrants on the streets of the country’s capital city of Minsk. As a result, the crisis, which is being used by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to pressure Poland and other European countries opposed to his rule, may be starting to backfire.

“I was walking around today — the Arabs were everywhere. Groups of about 20 people with luggage walk around. There are fewer locals than foreigners,” comments the author of a video in which a group of people from the Middle East sit at a shopping center in Minsk.

‘You Attract These People’ — Greek Migration Minister Blames Western Europe Benefit System for Mass Migration

The Greek Minister for Migration, Notis Mitarachi, criticized the German and Western European refugee policy, saying it will inevitably attract migrants. 1. As for those “immigrants” in Belarus, and on the borders of Eastern Europe, (southern Europe, Greece,France, Spain, Canada, etc…) The answer is simple…
    [intemperate recommendation redacted]
Any other civilization in the past would have done this. No problemo…

    • Both the interviewer, Stew Peters, and the guest, Philippe Argillier, state flatly that Islam and the terrorists are two different matters, and that Eric Zemmour, by opposing Islam, is bringing more trouble upon the French, and putting at risk American citizens in France and the French. They both support appeasing muslims to win their co-operation.

      Argillier, at 13.28:
“So instead of, again, doing something to increase the hatred against those groups of people, why don’t we, at one point, quote “leave them alone”, doing our own business, and at the same time avoid this high risk of, I would say, terrorist attack? And if this were to be the case, I would say at this moment that Eric Zemmour, if anything were to happen, financed by Vincent Bollore, would be responsible for it. …… So we have a high rise of danger coming up at this moment in my country, and in your country, too, because of Eric Zemmour’s actions in France, totally financed by Vincent Bollore.”

Learning Curve needed big time by both.

Eric Zemmour, in contrast, is well apprised of the deadly hostility of Islam, its agenda of World Caliphate, and its readiness to use violence. The guest, Philippe Argillier, stresses that Zemmour is being backed by the French billionaire, Vincent Bollore, who controls much of the media. This control is not desirable, but Bollore is supporting a man who has a well informed and realist grasp of the threat posed by Islam. Zemmour is greatly better informed than either interviewer or guest.

  2. And in our media, a real hysteria against migrants began. Russians are wild and evil people. I think it will soon be scary and fun. (“Scary and fun” is a quote from “War and Peace” before the beginning of the Battle of Borodino)

It is a pity that Paul Goble closed his “Window to Eurasia” – he did good analyzes on the topic.

      • Oh no … Now this is inappropriate reading in our time. Wasted time. I just quoted the school curriculum.
If you have the opportunity to read the modern author Viktor Pelevin, then it is better than him.

  3. Hey, Look at me, look at me!!!!!
I Can control the temperature of the PLANET!
