Biden Administration Appoints Critical Race Theory Activist to Education Department

The Biden administration has appointed a pro-critical race theory activist to join the U.S. Department of Education Tuesday, marking the latest development as parents, educators, and lawmakers debate what role the controversial theory should play in classrooms.

Precious McKesson was selected as a special assistant in the Washington, D.C., headquarters of the Department of Education’s Office of Communication and Outreach, a position not subject to Senate confirmation. McKesson, a vocal advocate of CRT that teaches U.S. institutions are inherently racist, has criticized the Right for opposing the theory.

California to Let “Violence Prevention” Researchers Access Data of Gun Owners in the State

California has come up with another way to expose personal information of people thanks to a new law, A.B. 173, adopted under the guise of the need to “prevent violence” by allowing researchers access to names, addresses and other private information of gun owners in this US state.

Observers worry that the law, signed last week by Governor Newsom, introduces a type of conflict of interest, since the researchers and academics who will be granted access will be affiliated with the California Firearm Violence Research Center at UC Davis and other “bona fide” outfits whom the state authorities pick, at their discretion, as dedicated to the “prevention of violence.”

It’s just a matter of time.

Critical Race Theory Infiltrating America’s 25 Most Elite Private K-12 Schools, According to New Study

A website that features a database of information on critical race theory (CRT) curricula and training in higher education unveiled a new study Monday focusing on the controversial ideology infiltrating the top 25 most elite K-12 private schools in America.

The project indicated that some schools openly admit to teaching CRT, while others are more subtle. Of the top 25 private schools, the database found that seven had some form of mandatory anti-racism training for students and a staggering 20 of 25 schools had some sort of curricular requirement change based off of anti-racism, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), or critical race theory.

William Jacobson, the Cornell Law School professor who founded the conservative-leaning site Legal Insurrection, created CriticalRace.org earlier this year to track how the widely debated concept is permeating U.S. institutions. His new initiative covers the same information as the higher education database, with a focus on K-12 learning.

DePaul Student’s Online Support for ISIS Was ‘Puffing,’ His Lawyer Tells Jury

A DePaul University student’s online bragging about his computer skills and support for the Islamic State was nothing more than “puffing” and is protected free speech, the student’s lawyer told a federal jury Tuesday.

“It’s like someone going on their dating profile and saying they’re 6-foot-3 with abs of steel when they look like me,” attorney Steve Greenberg said in his opening statement in the terrorism-related trial of his client, Thomas Osadzinski. “He’s puffing … he’s saying stuff, but it’s not enough.”

Osadzinski, 22, is accused in a federal indictment with using the computer skills he was learning at DePaul to craft a first-of-its-kind code designed to spread violent propaganda for the Islamic State terrorist group online.

Prosecutors alleged Osadzinski converted to Islam while a teen, expressing his devotion to the Islamic State in online forums that included undercover FBI employees he believed were terrorist sympathizers.

Human Events Exclusive: Fmr. Facebook Official Frances Haugen Plans to Testify to EU, Called Her Friend Conspiracy Theorist After Becoming a Men’s Rights Advocate/Red Pill Supporter

So-called Facebook Whistleblower Frances Haugen is testifying before the U.S. Senate this week calling on Congress to take action on what information Americans are allowed to share on social media.

Human Events can exclusively reveal from a verified individual with direct knowledge that Haugen is also planning to travel to Europe for several weeks to testify to EU Parliament.

In addition, during her 60 Minutes interview, Haugen mentioned losing a friend to ‘conspiracy theories.’

Human Events has learned that the ‘conspiracy theories’ Haugen was referring to was that her friend became involved with the Men’s Rights Advocate/Red Pill movement.

The term ‘red pill’ is a reference to the Matrix, and is the title of a 2016 documentary about the Men’s Rights movement by filmmaker Cassie Jaye.

In addition, Human Events has learned that according to her personal advocacy website, Haugen states that in 2020 she was a member of Facebook’s internal Civic Integrity team. That means in all likelihood she was part of the team that made the controversial decision to ban the bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story by the New York Post from Facebook in October 2020, a crucial point of the election. This was one of the most significant October Surprises in U.S. political history, and Facebook and Twitter made the decision to ban it without evidence amid rumors that the laptop was tied to Russian intelligence. Those rumors ended up being disinformation, and were all proved false.

For now, Haugen continues to be represented by Jen Psaki’s PR firm and Eric Ciaramella’s legal team.

New York’s Straw Law Will Fine Business for Giving Out Unsolicited Straws, And Also for Not Having Enough Straws

Those much-maligned single-use plastics had a brief reprieve during the pandemic, when an unfounded fear of COVID’s surface transmitting powers prompted jurisdictions to suspend their bans on bags and straws. One unfortunate consequence of our halting return to normality is that those items are back in officials’ sights.

Come November, a straw law passed by New York City in May 2021 will go into effect, leaving businesses open to fines for any number of straw-related infractions. That includes the grievous offense of providing a patron with a single-use, non-compostable plastic straw when the customer has not first requested one.

Seattle ‘Anti-Racist’ Training Teaches City Employees Whites Are ‘Oppressors’

Non-White employees for the City of Seattle were invited to an anti-racist training to explore their internalized racism and given tools on how to free themselves from White supremacy influence, new documents show.

Employees “who identify as people of color” were sent an invite to a three-hour optional training, “Internalized Racial Inferiority,” in August that excluded White people. It was conducted on Sept. 3 by the city’s Race and Social Justice Initiative, radio host Jason Rantz on KTTH reported Monday after filing a public disclosure request for the lesson materials.

The lesson was described as having employees explore “the process which American conditioning, socialization and history leads People of Color to internalize racialized beliefs, ideas and behaviors about themselves, undergirding the power of White Supremacy.”

Well, Duh. This is Why it Was Stupid

A vaccine that is not sterilizing permits the virus to infect you and replicate and as a result you can infect others. Technically it is not a vaccine at all (which by definition prevents infection); it is a prophylactic therapy. Such a “vaccine” instead acts to reduce or eliminate symptomatic disease. You don’t know you’re sick and you don’t get sick. You don’t go to the hospital and you don’t die. Unfortunately since you don’t know you’re sick but are infected and the virus is both replicating in you and shedding you are more-likely to spread the infection to others. All of the current Covid jabs are in this category and so is, for that matter IPV (injected polio vaccine — the original Salk discovery.)

[…]

Had we done with polio what we’re doing now with Covid — IPV (non-sterilizing) use only with virus circulating in the United States — it is very likely the virus would have mutated, escaped the vaccine and killed millions in America. Every single so-called expert knows damn well why we didn’t do that with polio and how dangerous it is to attempt it. Indeed where polio still circulates but money is scarce they use OPV only (which is sterilizing) and accept the risk of the rare but possible active case it can cause for this exact reason.

The police allege that “When staff had asked the group to leave the business, the men became verbally aggressive, belligerent, and physically resisted staff.”

Italy: Salvini Admits Mistakes After Poor Centre-Right Showing in Local Elections

Centre-left won Milan, Naples, Bologna in 1st round

(ANSA) — ROME, OCT 5 — League leader Matteo Salvini admitted on Tuesday that the centre-right coalition had made mistakes after its disappointing showing in an important round of local elections on Sunday and Monday.

Centre-left candidates won the contests in Milan, Naples and Bologna by getting over 50% of the vote in the first round, meaning there is no need for runoffs in those cities.

There will be runoffs in Rome and Trieste, where the centre-right candidates came top in the first round, and Torino, where the centre-left’s runner did best on Sunday and Monday.

The centre right did win regional elections in Calabria and in some medium-sized cities in a round of elections in which the turnout was very low.

“Reflection is needed without making up excuses,” Salvini said via Facebook.

“If half of the citizens decide not to vote it is certainly not their fault, it is our fault alone.

“It is the fault of our mistakes, rows and delays. This is a lesson for me and a lesson for us”.

MEP Calls for Facebook Regulation After “Whistleblower” Leak

It’s been 17 years since Facebook was founded, and its business model, though evolving as the modest startup grew into a global juggernaut, has essentially been the same: collect user data, and then find a way to monetize it, whether or not those users are fully aware of what’s going on with their personal information behind the scenes.

Many years had passed before sporadic attempts to question, contain and correct this behavior started to appear in various jurisdictions — often for reasons far removed from genuine concern for people’s online privacy and security — and now the European Union might be jumping on that bandwagon.

Pegasus 2.0: Are the Pandora Papers a Hybrid Warfare Operation?

Just when it seemed that the Pegasus spy-software story that erupted in July this year had subsided, another of its kind arises timed to perfection to coincide with parliamentary elections in a country led by an anti-migration, conservative-thinking prime minister.

Despite the promising signs that journalists worldwide are doing what they are supposed to do, that is, unmasking the corrupt dealings of politicians and world leaders, instead the entire effort bears the marks of hybrid information warfare directed by an international consortium of left-wing journalists, and financed by one well-known US billionaire oligarch.

This time the scandal is named “Pandora Papers” and it is supposed to have uncovered a world-wide tax avoidance scandal with hundreds of politicians and well-known businessmen involved. The hallmarks of the Pandora scandal are not dissimilar to the previous Pegasus story, in which an Israeli-made spy software was supposed to have been detected on the phones of journalists and NGO activists, incidentally almost all of them active on the left side of the political spectrum.

Scottish Venues Rebel Against Vaccine Passport Scheme

Venues in Scotland refused to enforce the country’s newly enshrined vaccine passport scheme after the technology behind the app completely failed at its first attempt.

However, problems immediately arose after Aberdeen Football Club fans reported issues with the app as soon as it went live.

The club responded swiftly by announcing it wouldn’t be enforced for that weekend’s match.

UK: Grooming Gangs Whistleblower Slams Toxic Cop Culture After Sarah Everard Murdered by London Officer

The former detective who blew the whistle on the grooming gang scandal in Rochdale has condemned the toxic cop culture that led to the murder of Sarah Everard by a serving Scotland Yard officer, warning that even if Metropolitan police commissioner Cressida Dick resigns, she would only be replaced by another high-ranking officer who had graduated through the same, self-serving ranks.

Maggie Oliver had quit Greater Manchester Police in 2012 to expose the mass rapes of working-class white girls by predominantly Pakistani Muslim men, accusing officers in comments made last year of “deliberate acts to bury and ignore the abuse of many, many vulnerable children” which she said was “gross criminal neglect” and “covering up the truth” that went to “the top echelons of Greater Manchester Police”.

Horrendous: U.S. General Allegedly Abandoned Allies in Afghanistan for Souvenirs

One of the “iconic” images of our catastrophic surrender from Afghanistan was a night-vision photograph of Maj. Gen. Christopher Donahue, the last American service member to depart the war-torn nation, boarding a C-17 Globemaster.

Mainstream media portrayed him kindly, like any brave U.S. soldier who fought and bled in Afghanistan for nearly two decades.

Our friend Jennifer Van Laar at RedState exclusively reported Sunday, however, that the 1992 West Point graduate erred badly in late August.

Donahue allegedly booted 50-100 American allies off the cargo plane so he could load a Taliban souvenir — an “inoperable Taliban-owned Toyota Hilux with a fully operational Russian ZU-23 anti-aircraft auto cannon mounted in the bed” — to bring home.
