Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/29/2021

Up to 12,000 personnel in the U.S. Air Force, including top pilots, have declined to get the COVID “vaccination” and will face discharge after next Tuesday’s deadline. Meanwhile, the Canadian Senate will require all senators to be fully “vaccinated” if they want to attend in-person sessions.

In other news, Dutch political parties are still unable to agree on the formation of a new government, which means the country has been without a government for a record-breaking 226 days (which is almost as long as Melbourne was in lockdown).

“Oh, What a Tangled (Tax) Web We Weave…”

This makes it pretty clear that federal taxes cannot be levied directly upon assets that are not “income” (e.g. accumulated wealth, property, savings, retirement funds, etc.). Until now, this has stymied efforts by tax-and-spend politicians to grab any and every additional tax dollar and cent they could get their hands on.

The crux of the current proposals is that they reclassify gains in value on paper as actual income. If, for example, your asset or investment gains value in a given year, even though you did not sell it to realize that gain (i.e. take possession of it in cash, which would be taxable), the authorities want to tax you on the presumed, theoretical gain.

12,000 Air Force Personnel, Including Elite Pilots, Have Rejected Vax Order as Tuesday Deadline Looms

The deadline is looming for US Air Force personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and many thousands are still refusing, according to the latest reports. For many at this point, it’s also too late to receive both jabs by the next Tuesday, Nov. 2 deadline. Other branches like the Navy have deadlines coming later in November, but the Air Force will be the first test case as it set the earliest deadline.

The Washington Post is now at the end of the week reporting that up to 12,000 Air Force personnel are still declining the vaccine, causing alarm within the top chain of command who are worried it will impact force readiness, particularly as some forces in key positions face discharge over their vax refusal. “The fact that it’s a choice leading to potential loss to readiness is striking,” a military policy analyst with the Center for a New American Security Katherine L. Kuzminski, told the Post.

All White Men Nominated for Science Award, So Committee Refused to Pick Any of Them

Are Vaccine Mandates for Kids Next?

It goes without saying that parents almost always know what’s best for their kids. But the FDA and woke officials in the White House and Congress don’t agree. They intend to force COVID vaccines on your kids, whether you like it or not. Don’t let them. It’s politics, not science.

In a desperate bid to find more COVID victims to save with experimental vaccines, the Federal Drug Administration just gave the Pfizer anti-COVID vaccine “emergency use” authorization for children aged 5-11. Get ready for a big propaganda push.

Breaking: US Supreme Court Rejects Maine Health Care Workers’ Challenge to Vaccine Mandate in 6-3 Vote — Amy Coney Barrett, Kavanaugh Join Liberal Justices

The US Supreme Court on Friday rejected a challenge from a group of Maine health care workers seeking to block a vaccine mandate based on religious grounds.

Recall, Democrat Governor Janet Mills in August announced that healthcare workers in Maine must be fully vaccinated by October 29.

The Liberty Counsel filed a lawsuit on behalf of approximately 2,000 healthcare workers in August.

Last Tuesday the Supreme Court declined to hear an emergency appeal attempting to stop a Covid vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in Maine.

Far-left Justice Stephen Breyer, who oversees complaints for the First Circuit, rejected the emergency appeal last week in the first time the highest court of the land has weighed in on a statewide Covid vaccine mandate.

Breyer denied the emergency request “without prejudice” which left the door open for Liberty Counsel to file another application for injunctive relief and Breyer referred it to the entire court.

On Friday, the highest court of the land in a 6-3 vote rejected the health care workers’ request.

Three conservative justices, Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito said they would have ruled in favor of the Christian group seeking relief from the Covid vaccine mandate.

“Healthcare workers who have served on the front line of a pandemic for the last 18 months are now being fired and their practices shuttered,” Gorsuch wrote in a dissenting opinion. “All for adhering to their constitutionally protected religious beliefs. Their plight is worthy of our attention. I would grant relief.”

Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh, both Trump appointees, wrote an opinion concurring with the liberals in the denial of injunctive relief.

Serious Men

The perfect storm has arrived and the dark winter is upon us. This is the time for serious men. Enough of the name-calling, caterwauling, one-upmanship of internet squabbles. Put it aside and concentrate on what to do about it. Yes, fight the political battles as a defensive maneuver, but find ways to go on the offensive. Strikes are one method, but somewhere along the line those who are protected by this communist regime must be exposed to the same dangers those on the right are exposed to. There has to be a challenge to the two-tiered justice system and if the system cannot administer justice, the people will have to do it themselves. A failure of justice has always fostered a vigilante solution. That knowledge used to be enough to keep the courts in line, adhering to their oaths, but one always displaces the other.

The Religious Exemption Trap

The religious exemption trap implicitly denies the possibility of alternative reasoning or differing interpretation of the scientific evidence. In so doing, it reinforces the smug intolerance of the ruling class.

For those who have only a few months before retirement, claiming a religious exemption may be a prudent move, if not a brave one. But for everyone else, there is only one option—and it’s not showing some administrator the data and the peer-reviewed papers. If those people cared about anything but their own job security, they wouldn’t be violating the basic rights of their employees.

The only option is the one demonstrated by the pilots of Southwest Airlines. Organize, stand up, and say no. The tyrants will continue to threaten, lie, and manipulate; but they cannot win against a people determined to be free.

Caroline Glick: Progressives Can’t Handle Inconvenient Truths

On Wednesday, Boston University held its annual Elie Wiesel Memorial Lecture. Boston University was the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Holocaust survivor’s academic home. Wiesel won the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his literary work documenting the Holocaust and the rebirth of Jewish freedom in the State of Israel.

This year Boston University invited Rev. Dr. William Barber to give the lecture. Barber is a prominent leader in the African American community, known for his activism against “structural racism,” in the United States. The concept of “structural racism,” holds that racism is intrinsic to America’s national character. The only way to cleanse the nation of its racist nature is through revolution.

Barber doesn’t limit his activism to the fight against the supposedly sinful essence of the United States. He also fights against the Jewish state. As the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America’s (CAMERA) Christian Media Analyst Dexter Van Zile reported last week, Barber has a long record of anti-Semitic statements directed mainly against the Zionist movement and the State of Israel. Among other things, Barber has referred to Jesus as “a brown skinned Palestinian Jew.”

In 2018, Barber gave a speech where he slandered Israel and the Israel Defense Forces accusing them of “targeting” Palestinian children, “simply because they wanted freedom.”

As for the Palestinians, by Barber’s telling, unlike the Jews, the Palestinians have done nothing but practice “nonviolence,” in their resistance to Israel and the Jews. Barber’s version of history conveniently airbrushed away the century-old Palestinian terror war against the Jews of the land of Israel. On the other hand, by Barber’s lights, the Zionist movement — that is, the Jewish national liberation movement — was “a colonialist project from the beginning.”…

Update: COVID-19 Cases Plummeted in Indonesia After Government Authorized Ivermectin for Treatment — Big Pharma Vaccines Made Little Difference

On July 15, 2021, the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) finally granted the Emergency Use Authorization for Ivermectin as the therapeutic drug to cure the Covid-19.

This was due to the country’s “worst-case scenario” epidemic at the time according to officials. The number of cases were soaring in the country and the medical authorities were desperate to control the outbreak.

Indonesia experienced a spike in COVID-19 infection and deaths in July and was struggling to slow the virus transmission due to its large population. The country was one of the nations greatly affected during the COVID pandemic. Indonesia is ranked as the world’s fourth most populous country with 277 million people.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that one of its measures imposed by the Indonesian government was to authorize the use of Ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment. COVID-19 cases started to fall precipitously and immediately to a low of 924 on the 19th of October.

Hungary Calls for Border Protection Instead of Migrant Intake

Instead of encouraging migration, the European Union should increase financing for member states’ border protection efforts, Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Varga said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

“Don’t let the pro-migration majority impose its will on us!” Varga wrote. “Although they criticized us for our immigration policy in 2015, it seems that more and more member states are waking up to the fact that the only way to stop illegal migration is by protecting our external borders.”

She pointed out that unlike what happened at the onset of the migration crisis in 2015, now the predominant thinking in Europe is swinging toward stronger border defense, which Hungary has been advocating and practicing ever since.

The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a bid by Republican states to take over the defense of a Trump-era rule that restricted green cards for immigrants deemed likely to be reliant on welfare — after the Biden administration dropped the legal defense of the rule.

The “public charge” rule was introduced during the Trump administration and expanded the definition of “public charge” as an immigrant who receives one or more designated public benefits for more than 12 months within a 36-month period. Whether an immigrant would be a “public charge” would be considered when they applied for permanent residency in the U.S.

The Classics Are All Wrong for Our Kids, But Homosexual Pornography is Just Fine

Friends, if we allow this to be done to our children through our inattention, carelessness or neglect, we deserve all our children are going to become. Needless to say, they don’t deserve that. They deserve much better of us. Furthermore, speaking as a Christian pastor, I’ll add that we’re going to be held accountable one day for what we permitted others to do to our children. I hate to think of what that judgment might be.

US Lawmakers Play With the Idea of Social Media ID Verification, Following Proposals From Other Countries

Anonymity is often vital for those who want to speak truth to power and expose government wrongdoing. We only need to look to the US government’s treatment of National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to see how far governments will go to target those that don’t have the shield of anonymity when they reveal information that governments want to hide.

And in 2021 governments have renewed their efforts to end online anonymity by proposing and introducing new laws that force users to hand over their identity documents (IDs) to use social media and by framing online anonymity as something that needs to be eradicated.

While most of these government efforts to end online anonymity have been widely covered in the media, America’s recent proposals have managed to stay out of the spotlight.

  1. There are a lot of publications on the network about the unfortunate women of Afghanistan.
The world community is offered to save Afghan women from the abyss of obscurantism.
Why don’t Afghan men save their women? Because they threw them there themselves. So, logically, you need to save Afghan women from Afghan men.
    How?
To start screaming about the genocide of the Afghan people again?
Let Afghan women blow up Afghan men, and not drag the world community into their showdown.

  2. Re: “Up to 12,000 personnel in the U.S. Air Force, including top pilots, have declined to get the COVID “vaccination” and will face discharge after next Tuesday’s deadline.”

How is this conduct not considered treasonous? I am astounded that the public is willing to see the U.S. military crippled by such unwise, indeed idiotic, policies while a resurgent People’s Republic of China grows ever-stronger.

None of this passes the smell test. A century ago, a truly crippling and lethal illness – the Spanish influenza virus – cut a huge swath across the world, killing millions. Yet, despite the tremendous strain upon civilization, the world was not completely shut down. Despite quarantines and other measures, soceity continued to function.

Yet today, for an illness whose overall survival rate is in the high ninety percent range, and for which efficacious, safe and proven drug therapies exist – society has been shut-down and organizations far-and-wide crippled. Businesses destroyed, professional lives ruined. Draconian and tyrannical measures by the authorities to force the use of so-called “vaccines” which are not even necessary. And whose side-effects are known to be dangerous, even deadly.

President Harry Truman famously had a sign on his desk saying, “The buck stops here.” The president, even a puppet and empty-suit like Joe Biden, is responsible for what happens on his watch. He should be removed from office before it is too late, before he and his people drag all of us down with them.

Yet, we hear nothing but crickets from the so-called “world’s greatest legislative body” known as the U.S. Congress. Something is very wrong here, very wrong indeed. The Communist Chinese are waging biological warfare against us, and no one in any position to do anything about it seems to care.

  3. I had one thought, but it is terribly racist. Why not use the uterus of Muslim women for the surrogate production of white children?
Oh yeah. We are humanists. We’ll just let them kill us.

  4. In Moscow, a student persuaded the migrants who robbed him (at first he caught up with them) to return his phone to him for transferring to the number

Because of this, the criminals were caught the same day.
The author of the scheme is Mikhail Akimov, an 18-year-old environmental engineer at the Russian University of Transport. Recently, the guy was returning home in the area of the CSKA station. The clock was about two o’clock in the morning, suddenly strangers called out to him.
They quickly closed the distance and punched the student in the stomach without warning. After being beaten and robbed (they took away the phone and a bag with documents) they tried to leave.
But Misha quickly came to his senses, he already had an idea ready. The guy caught up with the criminals and asked them to give them their mobile (they say, they really need it for study) in exchange for a transfer through the Sberbank app.
One of the crooks dictated a mobile number and received 26 thousand rubles. After that, the robbers left, and Akimov dialed the police number.
The owner of the number was caught within 6 hours – they turned out to be young migrants from Kyrgyzstan. A criminal case for robbery was brought up against a couple.
