GDP Misses as US Economy Grows Only 2% in Q3, Weakest Growth Since COVID Struck

With the Atlanta Fed cutting its GDPNow estimate to just 0.2% yesterday…

[…] there were big worries that today the BEA could reveal a shocker of a number, one far below the rapidly falling consensus estimate of 2.6%. Well, the Q3 GDP number just came out and it was bad, but not nearly as bad as it could have been: at 2.0%, it did indeed miss the 2.6% consensus by a lot but it could have been far worse.

German Economy on Brink of Disaster as Inflation Highest in 28 Years — Eurozone on Alert

GERMANY’s inflation has reached its highest level in 28 years.

According to the Federal Statistical Office, consumer prices rose by 4.5 percent throughout October compared to the same month last year. The Wiesbaden authority last measured an inflation rate of 4.5 percent in 1993.

Germany Cuts 2021 GDP Forecast by 25% Due to Soaring Energy Costs

One decade ago, in the aftermath of the Fukushima disaster, Germany’s Angela Merkel announced that the country would permanently shut down eight of its 17 reactors and pledged to close the rest by the end of 2022. Ten years later, crippled by the worst energy crisis in European history, and forced to comply with Russia’s demands unless it is prepared to freeze this winter as a result of stratospheric nat gas prices, the time has come to pay the piper.

On Wednesday morning, the German government cut its growth forecast for this year by 25% from 3.5% to 2.6% as crushing energy costs and supply chain bottlenecks for semiconductors have pressured the recovery in Europe’s largest economy. Economy Minister Peter Altmaier said the economy remained robust despite the COVID-19 pandemic, but supply chain woes in manufacturing and a surge in energy prices were complicating the recovery.

Hungary’s Inflation Jumps to Near Nine-Year High

Hungary’s inflation accelerated to an annual 5.5% in September, a near nine-year high, from 4.9% the previous month, in line with analysts’ forecasts.

On a monthly basis, prices edged up 0.2%. Core inflation rose from 3.6% in August to 4%, the highest since August 2020. Fuel prices jumped 21.6% y/y in September.

Prices of durable consumer goods increased further. On a monthly basis, the 0.9% rise translated into a 5.1% y/y reading. The last time durables’ inflation was above 5% was back in 2009. Food prices grew 4.4% on an annual basis, fuelled by seasonal factors such as the increase in the price of vegetables.

The price of services increased by 3.2% y/y, which again goes against the seasonal pattern, ING Bank said in a note.

Inflation Surges to a Whopping 5 Percent in Trudeau’s Canada

Inflation is continuing to rise under Justin Trudeau’s government, with the Bank of Canada governor suggesting that inflation will run close to 5 percent, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.

This is a steeper forecast than what the Bank of Canada was originally expecting, although the governor has not yet suggested that interest rates will be raised to counteract the inflation.

“White People, You Are the Problem”

AT&T Corporation has created a racial reeducation program that promotes the idea that “American racism is a uniquely white trait” and boosts left-wing causes such as “reparations,” “defund police,” and “trans activism.”

I have obtained a cache of internal documents about the company’s initiative, called Listen Understand Act, which is based on the core principles of critical race theory, including “intersectionality,” “systemic racism,” “white privilege,” and “white fragility.” CEO John Stankey launched the program last year and, subsequently, has told employees that private corporations such as AT&T have an “obligation to engage on this issue of racial injustice” and push for “systemic reforms in police departments across the country.”

A Statistical Curiosity

The shape of these curves is troubling. I work with many such data sets in my research, covering many different fields of study. The typical shape is what we call unimodal. That means as you scan the picture from left to right, it goes up for a while, and then it starts falling, so there is one clear peak to the curve. It may ascend quickly or slowly; it may descend quickly or slowly. For events like a pandemic, you may see a quick rise followed by a slow fall.

These curves do not seem to have that shape. They seem abnormally flat from May through September. I have two possible explanations.

Abp. Viganò Warns US Bishops About COVID Jab: The Great Reset Wants ‘Billions of Chronically Ill People’

The silence of so many cardinals and bishops, along with the inconceivable promotion of the vaccination campaign by the Holy See, represents a form of unprecedented complicity that cannot continue any longer.

(LifeSiteNews) — Editor’s note: Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has decided to make public an October 23 letter sent to to Cardinal Luis F. Ladaria S.J., Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Archbishop José Gomez, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, as well as to all the bishops of the United States of America.

Are the US Supply Chain Disruptions Deliberate?

Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo may have accidentally leaked the cause of America’s supply chain issues. “The reality is the only way we’re going to get to a place where we work through this transition is if everyone in America and everyone around the world gets vaccinated,” Adeyemo admitted in an interview with ABC News. Starve them out, let the dissenters suffer, and those who bought into this agenda will turn against them. Adeyemo said that the Biden Administration has already provided “the resources the American people need to make it to the other side.” Basically, everyone should give into the vaccine mandate or face the consequences. They are masking authoritarianism as utilitarianism. The vaccine has not been mandated at the federal level in the US, yet, but it is apparent that the government plans to make life as difficult as possible for those who do not obey.

As Biden’s Vaccine Mandate Looms, Firefighter Warns: People Will Die

Another estimated that the average response time would rise significantly. In fiscal year 2021, the average emergency response time was five minutes and 23 seconds, while the average structure fire response time was four minutes, 52 seconds.

But the mandate is expected to take some 40 percent of staff offline, leading to response times of “seven minutes or more,” an FDNY member told the Post.

“With a heart attack, seven or eight minutes makes a big difference.” the source said. “And fires, an eight-minute difference is one bedroom or the whole house. Or in row houses, an eight-minute difference is one house or the whole block! This is no joke.”

New York City’s police department has also been hard hit by the mandate, as over a third of the city’s street officers will be sidelined come Monday.

College Students Required to Detail Sexual History Before Registering for Classes

For example, Campus Reform reported that a “mandatory online course at the University of Southern California (USC) asks students to disclose the number of sexual encounters they have had over the past three months” as part of its “Title IX training.” This might well violate students’ rights under state law to privacy or freedom from compelled speech.

County Sheriff in Wisconsin Reveals Evidence of Felony Election Law Violations

The sheriff of Racine County in Wisconsin, Christopher Schmaling, presented evidence Thursday of felony election law violations in the county during the 2020 election.

Schmaling came out swinging against members of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, by whom he said “election statute was in fact not just broken, but shattered.”

The sheriff’s office received a complaint from a relative of a nursing home resident who died in October 2020. Despite suffering from severe cognitive decline prior to her passing, though, she still somehow managed to cast a vote via absentee ballot in the 2020 presidential election, according to state records.

The nursing home resident lived at the Ridgewood Care Facility. Following a complaint by the deceased resident’s daughter, who found it suspicious that her mother was able to vote given her condition at the time, Racine County Sgt. Michael Luell launched an investigation.

Luell found that in 2020 there had been an unusual surge in voting activity at the care facility. Luell reported back that eight out of 42 families of residents at Ridgewood said their loved ones did not possess the cognitive ability to vote, despite having done so.

Cuomo Charged With Sex Crime

Former New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo has been charged with a misdemeanor sex-crime complaint in Albany City Court, according to NBCNews‘ Tom Winter.

According to the Times Union, however, the criminal summons for forcible touching was ‘erroneously issued’ by the Court, after a sheriff’s investigator shared paperwork with the court which included a summary of their investigation.

The summons was issued without the consent of the alleged victim, Brittany Commisso, or her attorney, Brian D. Premo, according to sources familiar with the matter.

A sheriff’s investigator who had been a lead investigator in the case, in which the governor was accused of groping a female aide at the Executive Mansion last year, had met with a City Court official on Thursday to receive “guidance” if the department were to file a complaint. It’s unclear what happened after that, but a person briefed on the matter and not authorized to comment publicly said that someone in City Court issued the summons. —Times Union

Whether it was filed erroneously or not, “A Misdemeanor Complaint against former Governor Andrew Cuomo has been filed in Albany City Court,” according to Lucian Chalfen, a New York State courts spokesman.

Deaths Among Male Children Are 83% Higher Than the 5-Year-Average Since They Were Given the COVID-19 Vaccine

The UK’s Medicine and Healthcare product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have openly admitted that they suspect myocarditis and pericarditis are potential side effects of the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines, especially among young males. A suspicion that has been strong enough for the UK Medicine Regulator to officially add warnings about myocarditis and pericarditis to the safety labels of the Covid-19 vaccines.

Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle, whereas pericarditis is inflammation of the protective sacs surrounding the heart. Both are extremely serious conditions due to the vital role the heart plays in keeping a person alive, and the fact that the heart muscle cannot regenerate. Serious myocarditis can lead to cardiac arrest and knock years off a persons life.

The data scientist said some of the censored posts did not violate the platform’s policies as they were discussing whether Rittenhouse was being treated fairly and if he was acting in self-defense. Rittenhouse’s official stance at trial will be self-defense.

Facebook removed many posts supporting Rittenhouse because its policies prohibit the praising of “mass shootings” and “mass shooters.”

Florida COVID Cases, Death Rate Among Lowest in the Country

Florida has seen a dramatic reversal of fortune this week with some of the lowest COVID numbers in the country, marking a dramatic change from this summer when it ranked among the worst.

Florida’s Fake ‘Whistleblower’ Rebekah Jones Threatens to Sue Jake Tapper

Florida’s health department “whistleblower” Rebekah Jones has accused CNN host Jake Tapper of slander, adding that “suing for libel and slander takes years and is expensive” — adding that individuals should have the right to file criminal complaints against journalists who produce unflattering reports of their subjects.

Jones herself has been the subject of several critical reports debunking her claims against the Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and filed a restraining order against journalist Christina Pushaw, who is now DeSantis’ press secretary, for writing about her lies.

Jones, a dashboard manager who worked for the Florida Department of Health, has repeatedly claimed that DeSantis pressured her into manipulating data to polish the appearance of his efforts to handle the COVID-19 pandemic. As detailed by Charles C.W. Cooke for the New York Post, Jones is a “fake whistleblower who peddled lies about Florida’s COVID deaths.”

Jones, who is currently facing criminal charges for illegally accessing a state database, and was later banned on Twitter for platform manipulation and spam, is now taking CNN host Jake Tapper to task because “media accountability is a big deal.”

Supreme Court’s Latest Second Amendment Case Isn’t About Race, It’s About Rights

The U.S. Supreme Court on November 3 will hear oral arguments in one of the most consequential Second Amendment cases since the Court’s 2008 ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller, which reaffirmed the individual right to possess and use firearms for lawful purposes, such as self-defense within one’s home. The new case, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen, will determine whether that same right extends beyond an individual’s residence.

In the first round of arguments on this case, New York state Attorney General Leticia James went totally off the rails, sidestepping the constitutional issues and focusing instead on race. In arguing against the High Court reviewing the case, Ms. James submitted a brief riddled with false narratives presented as facts. As a historian whose research has been cited by the Court in previous Second Amendment decisions, I can assure the attorney general’s team that if they persist in their racial narrative history and the Constitution will argue against them.

Supreme Court to Hear Case Challenging Restrictions on Gun Permits

The issue of restricting gun permits is set to be argued at the US Supreme Court next Wednesday in a case from New York state, where two men who were rejected for permits are taking their complaint to the high court.

In 2016 and 2018, respectively, Robert Nash and Brandon Koch had their requests for unrestricted concealed carry licenses rejected by New York state trial court judge Justice Richard McNally Jr.

In his ruling, Justice McNally cited a 1913 New York law that requires concealed-carry applicants to prove that they have a legitimate need for such a permit; Nash and Koch simply wanted the permit for self-defense.

The poll also shows 5% of likely voters are still undecided, which could throw the race in either direction.

Britons Want Referendum on Boris’s Net Zero Green Agenda: Poll

A plurality of Britons want a public referendum on Boris Johnson’s plans to commit Britain to carbon net-zero by 2050, which Conservative MPs have criticised for being costly and threatening to throw the average Briton into poverty.

Hungary: Gov’t Gives Employers Right to Make Vaccination Compulsory for Employees

The government has decided to give employers the right to require vaccination against Covid-19 as a precondition of employment in order to ensure workers’ safety, the prime minister’s chief of staff said on Thursday at his regular press briefing.

The government has made a U-turn regarding compulsory vaccination. Up until now, vaccination was mandatory only for healthcare workers, arguing that Hungarians would not “stomach” mandatory vaccination. But from now on, employers can make vaccination compulsory for their emloyees. According to PMO head Gergely Gulyas, the state, as an employer, will also apply the measure. Mayors will also have the right to introduce the requirement at local councils.

The regulation will apply to the first two vaccinations. The first vaccination must be received by December 15th.

If a person does not want to be vaccinated, they will be sent on unpaid leave, and after a year they can be dismissed. Only health reasons can provide exemption from the rule.

Sticker Shock: Poland Among Countries With Highest Fuel Prices

More often than not, Poles are encountering gas stations where the price of a liter of fuel costs PLN 6.00 (€1.30). Expert forecasts are not offering any hope for decreases in prices any time soon and what’s worse, many are pointing to prices becoming even higher.

Criticism for the current state of affairs is often directed towards the government. When asked about the skyrocketing prices of fuel, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki underlined that the situation was the result of speculation on the oil market. With a surge in central bank money printing and other factors outside Poland’s control, rising gas prices are a European-wide phenomenon. At the same time, he noted that the prices at Polish gas stations were among the lowest in Europe. While this is true, he did not add that the price growth of fuel in Poland was much higher than the average in the European Union.

Crisis on the Polish-Belarusian Border: ‘Moscow is Counting on a Call From Warsaw’

Professor Adam Bartnicki believes that the key to understanding what is currently happening on Poland’s border with Belarus are the goals which Moscow has set for itself concerning the entire region. According to Bartnicki, these aims are being fulfilled as part of a three-stage strategy.

The first stage is the conduction of certain provocations in combination with media support, which Russia is achieving through the use of information channels it has in Europe.

The second step is the reinterpretation of international law. This is already taking place, as the Polish border is currently being attacked and that is a violation of both Polish and international law. Meanwhile, some media are trying to present the situation in a way in which Poland is the country violating international law by not letting in illegal migrants.

The third and final step is a combination of threats and the eventual offer of peace.

Capability: The Secret Behind World History

Consider: Had pre-Colombian American Indians developed galleys for transoceanic travel, or advanced fire arms, or compasses, or organized military structures and stratagems; and had they arrived on the shores of, say, “Dark Age” Europe—what would they have done? Would they have conquered and subjugated, or would they have looked at the inferior pale savages and “respected” them in the name of “diversity,” leaving them wholly unmolested?

What if sub-Saharan blacks were technologically or militarily more advanced than their northern neighbors in Europe during the premodern era, and therefore could easily have subjugated and enslaved them? Would they have done so, or would they have left them in peace in the name of “multiculturalism”?

These are the hypotheticals that no one seems interested in asking, since the answer to these “what ifs” is as clear as day.

  1. “Why Are So Many in the US Now So Sick?”

from what I see around me it looks like they were all correct: Mike Yeadon from Pfizer and Robert Malone (“inventor” of mRNA technology) were warning that the the vaccines will cause bloodclots, heart problems, etc. – and it happened. The “vaccine scientist” Bosche warned that these vaccines will create stronger coronaviruses, and it happened with the “delta variants”.

Here in the Czech Republic, we also have that “mystery sickness” hitting elementary and high schools. Children seem to be coffing a lot. The media says it is caused by long lockdowns and long term mask wearing – both of which caused the children’s immune systems to go without excercise, and now when the children meet again (the media say) – they quickly exchange germs and viruses.

I sure hope the experts are correct. In any way, knowing all this and having this directly in the media, our fearless leaders and providers made the mask wearing mandatory again, a week ago, so they don’t even follow their own “mainstream media science” when it comes to mask wearing. Not that I would be surprised.

  2. A talking dinosaur. Fantastic. Now imagine if your average high school graduate could speak proper English.
But more seriously, eliminating fossil fuels will result in hundreds of millions of people starving to death and freezing to death. But that’s what they want, isn’t it?

  4. “Migrants are not afraid of the police”: how residents of New Moscow turned to the president for protection from migrant workers

Last week, the news spread in the media that residents of the Sosensky settlement of New Moscow were creating self-defense squads to protect women from migrants from Central Asia. “Self-defenders” meet the detained ladies at the metro and escort them to the entrances, because in September a student was raped in this district and two more attempts at rape by migrants were recorded, journalists reported.

In addition, residents of the settlement sent a letter to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which was signed by 8,500 people.

“We have not received a response from the president yet, but the reaction followed,” Kirill Barmashev, head of the Sosenskoye settlement, tells RT. – On the morning of October 26, a police raid suddenly began in the settlement areas. Police outfits are on display right in the courtyards – they are checking documents.
