Gates of Vienna News Feed 10/23/2021

The gun that Alec Baldwin used to shoot Halyna Hutchins to death on the set of Rust was a period revolver that members of the film crew had reportedly used for recreational target practice. The assistant director told Mr. Baldwin that the gun was “cold”, i.e. unloaded, before he discharged it. The shooting may have been recorded, and the local sheriff’s office is investigating to determine whether footage of the incident exists.

In other news, Sweden has suspended the use of the Moderna COVID “vaccination” indefinitely, after multiple reports of heart problems in young people as a result of the jab.

A JetBlue Jihadist? The Great Press Cover-Up

If a radical Islamist hijacked an airplane, we might never know it was an act of terrorism. That is, if we rely only on the mainstream media.

Case in point: On September 22, Khalil El Dahr, a passenger on JetBlue Flight 261 from Boston to Puerto Rico, suddenly rushed to the front of the aircraft, choked and kicked a flight attendant, tried to break into the flight deck, and urged crew members to shoot him. It took a half-dozen flight attendants to restrain El Dahr, tying him down with flex cuffs, seat belt extenders and a necktie. On landing in Puerto Rico, El Dahr was arrested and charged with interference with flight crew members and attendants, a federal crime.

What was El Dahr’s motive? Authorities have not released their findings yet, but we know some facts from an affidavit filed by FBI Special Agent William Lopez. El Dahr had attempted an in-flight phone call and “became angry about the call’s unsuccess.” About twenty-five minutes later he rushed the cockpit, struggled with flight attendants, speaking in “Spanish and Arabic,” and “one point during the incident, they were able to understand EL DAHR say Allah in a raised tone.”

Alec Baldwin Was Told Firearm Was Unloaded, Search Warrant Says: Report

An assistant director on the New Mexico movie set of the movie “Rust” claimed that a gun being handed to actor Alec Baldwin on Thursday was unloaded, a search warrant filed in a Santa Fe court said, according to reports.

“Cold gun,” assistant director Dave Halls announced at the time, using lingo for an unloaded firearm, before a rehearsal for the movie, The Associated Press reported.

Soon afterward, court filings say, Baldwin pulled the trigger of the firearm, fatally wounding cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.

Crew of Alec Baldwin’s ‘Rust’ Shooting Walked Off Set Hours Before Fatal Gun Accident

Several camera crew members of the Alec Baldwin feature film Rust walked off the set hours before a prop gun that Baldwin was told wasn’t loaded accidentally discharged and killed a cinematographer while wounding the director.

The camera crew had complained about poor working conditions on the set of the low-budget Western, citing “long hours, long commutes and waiting for their paychecks” as reasons for the walkout, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Times also reported that at least one camera operator complained last weekend to a production manager about gun safety on the set.

Florida Educators Tied Mask to Disabled Student’s Face for 6 Weeks Without Parents’ Consent, Father Says

A Florida father is accusing educators at his daughter’s elementary school of forcing his daughter with Down syndrome to wear a mask by tying it to her head for about six weeks.

Jeffery Steele’s daughter, Sofia Steele, is nonverbal and has an enlarged tongue. On Oct. 7, Sofia stepped off of the school bus with a mask, wet from her saliva, tied to her head with a thin, nylon string, Steele told Fox News Digital, but she did not leave for school with a mask on that day or any day prior.

Sofia has an individual education plan (IEP), and educators are supposed to inform parents of any changes made to their children’s IEPs, Steele said. But the school never informed him or his wife that they were going to require Sofia to wear a mask, and no one asked the parents for their consent in tying it to her face during school.

Hollywood Weapons Expert Says Alec Baldwin Broke No. 1 Gun Safety Rule

An expert in firearms has spoken out, saying that actor Alec Baldwin broke a key gun safety rule when a prop gun he used killed his cinematographer on set.

Bryan Carpenter of Dark Thirty Film Services mentioned that, while the investigation is ongoing, there was a clear lack of respect for gun safety standards on the part of Baldwin, resulting in the death of one person and the injury of another Thursday. “Loaded or unloaded, a weapon never gets pointed at another human being,” said Carpenter. Even on a film or TV set, he said “you never let the muzzle of a weapon cover something you don’t intend to destroy.”

Youngkin Demands Resignations From Loudoun County School Board in Wake of Bombshell Email

GREAT FALLS, Va. — Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin called for the resignations of Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler and the school board in the wake of a bombshell email this week. The email showed that Ziegler alerted the board that a male student allegedly assaulted a female student in a girl’s bathroom — about a month before Ziegler publicly declared that he had no record of bathroom assaults.

“It’s outrageous,” Youngkin told Fox News on Saturday. He said the email “simply confirms what we know, which is we had administrators at a school board who have been covering this up. I mean, they tried to hide it from parents, they’ve hidden it from the public, and they actually endangered students by moving this young man — who in fact was being prosecuted for a sexual assault in another school — and enabled it to happen again.”

  2. Shock! A new coal mine will soon be open in England!
England take their cue from Poland and open a new coal mine
British, like the Poles and Germans , are not going to allow themselves to be swayed by environmentalists.

For the first time in 30 years, a new coal mine will be opened in England. The government will not object to a decision taken by the local authority in Cumbria.

The British decision follows on the heels of Germany opening a new coal-fired power plant in the Ruhr despite setting the broader goal of shutting all its coal power plants by 2038, a goal many critics say is unlikely to occur without massive amounts of debt and job losses.

The British government’s decision to back the coal mine in the northwest of England, coupled with the case of a new coal-powered power plant in Germany, may be a sign that environmentalists are not winning their battle against coal.

Both Great Britain and Germany pride themselves as nations working towards zero emissions. The new support for coal suggests that economic considerations coupled with a demand for affordable energy may come before ideological sentiments.

The new mine in England will be set up near Whitehaven and the coal mined will be used in steel mills and the chemical industry. It is envisaged that mining will continue for 50 years and that 500 new jobs will be created in the area.
