Rand Paul: Democrats “Are Going to Go After Ordinary People” With Massive Spending Bill

In an appearance on Fox News Monday, Senator Rand Paul warned that Democrats are lying about their massive social spending bill and that it will significantly affect untold numbers of ‘ordinary’ Americans.

“The numbers game is fake accounting,” Paul warned, adding “They aren’t really whittling down what they are going to spend it on. They are just whittling down how long they are going to count the accounting period to be.”

“So, if it costs $5 trillion over 5 years and they only count $1 trillion, then that is $1 trillion. But that doesn’t make the programs small. The programs are still enormous and over time are going to add up to trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars,” the Senator urged.

EU Waging a ‘Political Cold War’ Against Poland, Says Hungarian MEP

The European Commission, guided by a thirst for power, is waging a political cold war against Poland instead of performing its actual role as guardian of the EU treaties. The EU parliament, the European left and the European People’s Party are also cooperating with the LIBE committee in the attacks, Tamas Deutsch, head of the Fidesz European Parliament delegation, told Hungarian public media in Strasbourg on Tuesday during a break in the EU parliament’s plenary session.

Regarding the European Parliament’s debate, held that day, on the decision of the Polish Constitutional Court to give priority to the national constitution over EU law, the Hungarian MEP emphasized that “the start of the cold war is another step in the procedure. Italy: Lamorgese Denies ‘Strategy of Tension’ In Handling of Green Pass Riot

Interior minister sees challenging period ahead

(ANSA) — ROME, OCT 19 — Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese on Tuesday denied allegations from Giorgia Meloni, the leader of opposition, right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, that the government deliberately mismanaged a Rome protest against the Green Pass COVID-19 health certificate earlier this month that degenerated into a riot.

Meloni said the authorities’ handling of the October 9 violence, including a raid in which the headquarters of trade union CGIL were ransacked, was part of a ‘strategy of tension’.

“There is a political interpretation (of the events) that tends to give credit to the thesis of a plan,” Lamorgese said as she reported to the Lower House on the trouble.

“I must firmly reject this interpretation because it insinuates that the forces of law and order would lend themselves to be the instrument of dark political purposes.

“It is an unjust accusation that casts an unacceptable shadow over the work of the forces of law and order”.

Senior members of the far-right Forza Nuova party were among several people arrested for allegedly orchestrating the violence.

The protest was against the government making the Green Pass, which shows that a person is vaccinated for COVID, has recovered from it in the last six months or has tested negative in the last few days, obligatory to access Italian places of work.

Lamorgese said the authorities were caught off guard because the level of violence had gone well beyond “any reasonable forecast”.

The minister said she saw the period ahead, which features the G20 summit in Rome at the end of the month, as being “highly challenging” for the authorities.

U.K. Set to Pass Bill to Regulate Extremist and ‘Offensive’ Social Media Content

Social media companies and British citizens could soon face strict censorship and content restrictions once the United Kingdom’s government passes its so-called Online Safety Bill, which is fast-tracked through Parliament following the murder of Sir David Amess by a terrorist last week.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson signalled on Wednesday that he was prepared to change course on the bill, which he had previously neutered. The stricter version of the bill could make executives at social media companies criminally liable for both extremist and “offensive” content on their platforms.

Under the draft of the bill, social media companies and search engines will be required to remove “harmful content” that has “a significant adverse … psychological impact on an adult of ordinary sensibilities.”

Putin Orders All Workers Home for One Week Amid Record COVID Surge

Cities across Russia appear to be heading into lockdown again, despite the Sputnik V vaccine having been the world’s first to have rolled out last year, and with at this point an estimated one-third of the population being fully vaccinated. Yet this week has witnessed new daily record highs as confirmed coronavirus cases surge once again.

Tuesday witnessed the highest single-day death toll thus far in the pandemic, with 1,038 deaths from the virus recorded, according to the AP. President Vladimir Putin announced on Wednesday an almost unprecedented order for all workers across the nation to stay home for one week. In some hard-hit cities, the mandate could reach up to two weeks. However, authorities have stopped short of imposing a full-fledged national lockdown.

‘Jihadist Forces of Hate’: Former US Congresswoman Condemns Attack on Hindus in Bangladesh

Condemning the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday called for the country’s government to take action against Jihadi forces of hate.

“It is time for the supposedly secular government of Bangladesh to protect that country’s religious minorities, including Hindus, Christians, and Buddhists, from the jihadist forces of hate,” Tulsi Gabbard said.

Violence erupted in the neighbouring country on October 13, Ashtami, when word spread that Hindus had desecrated the Quran by placing it on the knee of an idol at a puja pandal in Qoumillah. On October 18, a group of assailants vandalised at least 66 homes and torched 20 homes of Hindus in Bangladesh amid continued violence.

Incidents of vandalism and violence were also reported in temples in Chandpur’s Hajiganj, Chattogram’s Banshkhali and Cox’s Bazar’s Pekua, the report said.

Community Leader Allegedly Murdered in North Melbourne Stabbing Attack

A meeting of local leaders with a mentally unwell community member ended in tragedy on Saturday, police allege.

Luqman Abdishakur Ahmed, 30, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday charged with murder and intentionally causing serious injury, after he allegedly went into a stabbing frenzy with a kitchen knife in a North Melbourne unit.

One man was killed, and another was injured when he used his bare hand to grab the knife Mr Ahmed was wielding, police allege in a summary tendered to the court.

“The deceased, in the company of four other Somalian community leaders, attended a unit in North Melbourne to visit Luqman Abdishakur Ahmed who had allegedly been having mental health issues,” police say.

Mr Ahmed is alleged to have armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the man in the neck, killing him with only one blow.

He is also alleged to have chased a friend around the unit while trying to stab him, before the friend grabbed the knife and Mr Ahmed pulled it back, slicing it through his friend’s fingers.

The friend suffered “significant lacerations”, police say…

Watch: Hundreds of Police Trolled Into Chasing No One Around Melbourne

On Saturday, Victoria Police mobilised hundreds of officers to chase no one around the city for hours.

Busloads of uniform cops, the mounted unit, counter-terror squad and an armoured vehicle following a Telegram group spent hours running around and hassling innocent locals.

Police media were quick to announce 57 protesters arrested, a lie regurgitated by the mainstream media.

In reality, police made only a few arrests of mostly innocent locals, including one woman drinking tea on a park bench with her husband.

Does the EU Want More Illegal Immigration? Hungarian Foreign Minister Questions Motives of Brussels Bureaucrats

The number of migrants on the Western Balkans route is growing rapidly, yet European Union policy leads to questions about Brussels’ intentions around the issue of illegal immigration, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjartó said at the Vienna Migration Conference on Tuesday.

“Honestly, sometimes I don’t know if Brussels bureaucrats intend to stop migration or further encourage it,” Szijjartó said.

Szijjartó pointed out that the EU’s migration policy can only be successful if it can work properly with neighboring countries. He cited as an example that, although Egypt is effectively defending its borders, the European Union bloc is still withholding €120 million from the country for certain human rights issues. In addition, it maintains sanctions that prevent Cairo from gaining access to technologies that would make its border protection even more effective.

Germany Sees More Patrols on Polish Border to Curb Migration

BERLIN (AP) — Germany’s top security official on Wednesday proposed introducing joint German-Polish patrols on the two countries’ border to help clamp down on illegal crossings into Germany by migrants arriving from Belarus, but said no one has any intention of closing the frontier.

Authorities in Germany say about 4,500 such crossings have been registered since August. Many of them are people from Syria and Iraq who flew to Belarus in the hope of reaching the European Union via Poland.

Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said he has sent a letter to his Polish counterpart proposing joint patrols on the Polish side of the border to identify illegal crossings and arrest people-smugglers. He said he hasn’t yet received a reply.

Some 6,000-7,000 Migrants Could be Waiting to Cross Into EU — Lithuanian Minister

VILNIUS — Some 6,000 to 7,000 migrants could be waiting to cross the EU’s external border from Belarus, Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite said on Wednesday, adding that the numbers keep changing.

“We have very different figures. The Polish services give one figure and our services give another. There could be around 6,000-7,000 people, but no one can say for sure today, because […] new flights are being organized and the procedure for issuing all the permits is being simplified, which shows that the Lukashenko regime is not retreating,” she said.

Later on Wednesday, the Lithuanian Cabinet is to discuss a package of amendments that will allow restricting migrants’ freedom without a court order in certain cases once the six-month detention period provided for by law expires.

Netflix Co-CEO Walks Back Support for Chappelle in Balancing Act Between Audience and Activists

Netflix is backing down from its previous defence of comedian Dave Chappelle who faced the wrath of a cancel campaign with the release of his special The Closer — but not entirely. The company is engaged in a delicate balancing act between appeasing a minority of woke activists and the majority of its viewers.

Chappelle enraged the community of transgender social justice activists on Twitter, who blasted the comedian for making jokes about transgender and non-binary individuals. Chappelle had also made fun of blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics and Jews, but received far less backlash for those jokes.

White House Plans Action Against Texas Transgender Sports Bill

The White House has condemned legislation in Texas that seeks to ban biological boys from participating in girls’ sports teams, suggesting that the Biden administration may take action against the policy should it become law.

Describing the bill as “hateful” and “bullying,” the White House says that “this hateful bill in Texas is just the latest example of Republican state lawmakers using legislation to target transgender kids — whom the president believes are some of the bravest Americans — in order to score political points,” in remarks by White House spokesman Ike Hajinazarian to the Dallas Morning News.

“These anti-transgender bills are nothing more than bullying disguised as legislation and undermine our nation’s core values,” added the spokesman.

Matt Hill, the senior associate communications director for the White House, suggested that the administration may move to fight against the legislation, which is set to be signed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

“Our message to young transgender people in Texas and across the country: these hateful bills are bullying disguised as legislation, and @POTUS and our Administration will always keep fighting for the full equality LGBTQ+ folks deserve,” wrote Hill on social media.

According to the Daily Wire, the Texas legislature passed the bill last week.

Once signed into law, the legislation requires students to compete corresponding to their biological sex, effectively preventing transgender students and students who identify as “gender non-binary” to play on teams of the opposite sex.

  2. European Parliament today :
..”The Polish Constitutional Tribunal has no legal force and independence and is not authorized to interpret the Polish constitution”

Thursday, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the judgment of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal. It was prepared by five factions in the EP – EPP, Socialists and Democrats, Greens, Renew Europe and the Left. The EP in the document, inter alia, “deeply regrets the unlawful decision of the” Constitutional Tribunal “.”
    So..American Declaration of Independence next ? :-))

  4. Former President Czech Republic Klaus statement regarding deprival Declaration by EU Polish State own Sovergnity :
The Polish Constitutional Court asked itself a question that all real Democrats have been asking for decades – does the European integration process result in the creation of a multinational entity that is superior to individual Member States, or should these states continue to have their sovereignty and only part of it eventually hand over to Brussels?
After months of serious negotiations, among others, he stated that part of the EU contractual basis ′′ is not compatible with the constitution of the Republic of Poland ′′ and expressed the opinion that the Polish constitution has priority over European treaties. Someone in Brussels may not like this, but it is the opinion of a legitimate constitutional body of an EU Member State. The opinion of this body has no right, not to disrespect, or the official of the European Commission, which Mrs. Leyen is.
Mrs. Leyen sovereignly says that ′′ The European Commission must protect the citizens of the Union and will therefore act “. We are also citizens of one of the EU Member States, but we do not feel threatened by the decision of the Polish Constitutional Court. No one has to protect us from him. On the other hand, we feel the need to ′′ protect ourselves ′′ from the liquidation of the sovereignty of the EU states. We are convinced that even the citizens of the Republic of Poland do not need the protection of Commissioner Leyen. Many times in history they have demonstrated that they care about the sovereignty of their country.
