Dearly Beloved

I’ll be away all afternoon to attend the wedding of a relative. I remember when the groom was a little kid; it was just the other day. Somehow, he’s now over thirty. Weird.

This is the first wedding I will have attended since Dymphna died. The first one in more than forty years where I’ve had to pick out a wedding gift and wrap it on my own. The first one where I’ll be putting on my suit without anyone to cast a critical eye on it, straighten my collar, and tell me how I look. Makes me a little nervous.

The festivities are relatively nearby, so I won’t be away overnight. I’ll be home in time to put up the news feed, but there may not be any additional posts today.

  1. I lost my beloved wife of 55 years last Sept 2020 . I am in same boat have granddaughter and nephew getting married 1 next week 1 next April . Funny how they always made us look presentable neat and tidy. Guess its my oldest daughters turn to set me straight

  2. Ah, the promise of hopeful festivities, between government repressions! Make the most of joy, and enjoy, Baron. All will be well, for a celebratory break! It would be willed that you have a great day!

  3. I’m glad you had a good time.

Let’s smile & be happy & strike fear in the hearts of killjoy leftists everywhere.
