Gates of Vienna News Feed 9/14/2021

A COVID-19 outbreak swept through a French nursing home, infecting 20% of the elderly residents. Of those infected, fourteen were fully “vaccinated”, two had received a single jab, and one was unvaxed.

In other news, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson praised vaccine passports, saying that they were a “game-changer”.

Moldovans: Let Them Come to Berlin

Energetic but impoverished citizens of the Republic of Moldova have found it worth their while to become “asylum seekers” and make regular trips to Berlin to receive the cash and free goodies handed out by the Berlin state government to all and sundry.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating these two articles. First, from Weltwoche Daily:

Unpleasant for Moldovans

Berlin: Asylum seekers are now receiving monthly payments again

In Berlin, asylum seekers are receiving monthly payments again. The asylum tourists from Moldova in particular should not be happy about this news, now the extended families — which traveling group could that be? — also have to travel monthly in their minibuses and cars to get the social dough.

Cash for migrants in Berlin: Moldovans arrive in minibuses. The government does not see this as a problem

by Annabel Schunke

For some years now, Berlin has led the table of recipient countries in the German state financial equalization system by a considerable margin. This is nothing new for us Germans, but it is still worth mentioning as soon as the topic falls on the expenditure of the financially weak federal state.

For example, every migrant in Berlin — whether entitled to asylum or not — is given cash upon arrival. As a result, 60 percent of the immigrants arriving there are not asylum seekers at all, but people from the Republic of Moldova.

In an internal letter from the State Office for Refugees, two employees report up to €4,500 in cash for a large family. In addition, there should be a Corona allowance of €300 and money for laptops and tablets. It literally means: “The joy is enormous and every acquaintance is contacted immediately to be informed about it.”

Meanwhile, the column from Moldova arrives in minibuses, in organized trips. Some even come at regular intervals — over and over again. The police are now talking about smuggling crime. And yet the red-red-green government in Berlin wants to stick to its cash practice.

Perhaps, as a German, I should just join the queue once in a while.

The Hazards of the New Balkan Route to Western Europe

Even before the collapse of the American-backed government in Afghanistan, there was an intense pressure from Afghan “refugees” on the external borders of the European Union.

The following report on the new migration route through the northern Balkans is from Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR, Central German Broadcasting, the public broadcaster for Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt). Many thanks to Hellequin GB for the translation:

Afghan refugees on their way to the EU

Because Croatia and Hungary have erected high border fences on the Balkan route, refugees are now increasingly trying to get to the EU via Romania. The number of illegal border crossings rose by 200 percent in the first half of the year. Important hub: the western Romanian city of Timisoara. Many people seeking protection want to find a truck there that they can use to get to Western Europe undetected.

Ahmadi’s brown eyes look sadly into the distance; he is holding his destroyed cell phone in his left hand. The 17-year-old is sitting on a meadow in Timisioara in western Romania, in what is known as the Afghan Park, as Ahmadi and his compatriots call their meeting point at a shopping park. Almost every day there are checks by the police and gendarmerie, from which Afghan refugees repeatedly report that they’re been attacked or had their cell phones destroyed.

Ahmadi considers it pointless to report the incident to the police. That doesn’t help him get a new cell phone, either, he says. The telephone was his orientation aid on the run; he was able to use it to call up routes across the Middle East and now in Europe. Without a cell phone, he cannot contact his smuggler who is supposed to bring him to Germany.

On the run for over a year

The young Afghan left his home region of Nangarhar long before the international troops withdrew, otherwise he would have had to join the radical Islamic Taliban at home or hide from it, he says. “I preferred to forge on ahead.” He also wants to lead an economically better life in Western Europe. He has already covered around 5,000 kilometers, a large part of it on the Balkan route from Greece via Bulgaria to Serbia. In four months, he hopes, he will be with his brother in Germany, but Ahmadi has been on the run for over a year now.

It was particularly difficult, he says, in Serbia, where meter-high fences have made access to the EU almost impossible since the great refugee movement in 2015. He made nine attempts to come to Croatia. He tried to cross the Serbian-Hungarian border three times, all without success. Most recently, he took the route via neighboring Romania, which for a long time was considered a dead end among those seeking protection: since the EU country does not belong to the Schengen area, all borders in Romania are strictly controlled — including that with the EU neighbor Hungary.

Over 530 kilometers of green border with Serbia

But for a few months now, the Eastern European country has seen a significant increase in the number of refugees and migrants. The Romanian border authority registered almost 9,000 border crossings in the first half of the year, 200 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The majority of those seeking protection do not come from Ukraine or the Black Sea, but from Serbia over the green border, which in some places meanders along the Danube, and runs through countless forests and fields.

The Romanian press recently wrote that a “new Balkan route” led through western Romania. An assumption that the border police in Timisoara do not want to share, even if most border crossings were on their 530-kilometer stretch with Serbia this year. “Regardless of whether this is called the new Balkan route or not,” says the spokesman for the Timisoara border police, Petre Nicola, “we are well prepared for every scenario.”

We Have to Lie to Them, Otherwise They’ll Never Take the Vax

During an “hot mike” moment in Israel, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked and Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz inadvertently revealed their government’s ongoing mendacity about the “science” behind its policies concerning COVID-19 and “vaccination”.

This is something that most of us have known to be true for a long time, but still, it’s startling to hear it discussed so openly and so plainly.

The Caliphate Advances in Sweden

Below is a view of the 9-11 anniversary as reflected in local political events in Sweden.

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this editorial from Katerina Magasin:

20 years after 9-11, you can be charged if you call an Islamist extreme

September 12, 2021

I didn’t write anything yesterday on the 20th anniversary of terror in the USA when Islamist terrorism claimed thousands of lives and forever tore open a bottomless wound in the free Western world. Social media still simmered and boiled filled with memories and reflections, mainly what people were doing themselves when news of the planes hitting the Twin Towers like an exploding suicide belt on all the information channels. Perhaps, I myself remember most clearly the feeling that it couldn’t be true. That it was a bad joke. And that the day after, we awoke to something that could be most described as a huge hangover, anxiety, and sadness. What strikes me today, 20 years and one day later, is how quickly the Islamization of Europe, in Europe in general and Sweden in particular. is going. Islam is gaining more ground, and with the argument of “religious freedom”, it advances its positions-though Islam primarily is a political ideology and a legal system, where religion is mostly a facade. Churches are proposed to become mosques, minarets are built, calls to prayer are permitted. More and more girls and women go around dressed in full-covering Islamic dress. In more and more areas, sharia trumps Swedish law. Imams decide, not Swedish courts. But worst is the mental breakdown of freedom of expression. Court proceedings against former Social Democrat politician Ann-Sofie Hermansson in Gothenburg [prosecuted for defamation as a result of her blog posts] is a clear symbol that Islamists use our own democracy to suppress and obtain the right to exercise their anti-democratic ideology. As I write this, I am thinking: Can I be reported for blasphemy?

You can read the background of the trial against Ann-Sofie Hermansson here.

In short, it can be said that Hermansson called extremists extremists. There is no other way to say it. And here is where it becomes difficult. Should we not be allowed to criticize a political ideology that in many ways goes against principles that all humans have equal value, equality before the law, freedom of speech, and our freedom to criticize ideologies and religions? I think that these positions being advanced are an extremely destructive and unfortunate development. Particularly when Swedish Public Service — which should be objective, non-partisan, and neutral — actually takes sides against Ann-Sofie Hermansson and thinks it is acceptable that her right to express her opinion must actually be tested. “A blessing,” they write that this, that the question be judged in a higher instance. Perhaps Public Service wants us to no longer call extremists extremists? That it should be criminal?

Stuck Inside of Kabul With the Saxon Blues Again

German authorities aren’t overly exercised about Germans who happen to be stranded in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. Culture-enriching “Germans”, however, are another matter. The following story describes an Afghan family from Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony. The puir wee Afghan bairns came to Germany as refugees because their lives were in danger in their homeland, so much so that they could only return home occasionally on vacation.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from RegionalHeute.de:

Schoolchildren are stuck in Kabul: “Suddenly it’s so real”

The twins, who originally came from Afghanistan, traveled to their old homeland with their parents and siblings during the summer vacation.

by Anke Donner

Wolfenbüttel. Three students from the Henriette Breymann School (HBG) are currently stuck with their family in Kabul. A family visit turned into a nightmare for the family of eight — because terror, destruction and unrest reign in the country that was once their home. Nobody knows when the family will be able to return to their new home in Wolfenbüttel.

“It’s very strange that what you usually only know from the news suddenly becomes so realistic,” says HBG headmistress Katrin Unger in an interview with RegionalHeute.de. The news that three students from her school are stuck in the crisis area, exposed to the Taliban terror and uncertain when they will be back in Germany, was received by Katrin Unger a week before school started. The father of her pupils — a pair of twins attending the eighth grade — informed her by email that the third child of the family could not be enrolled at the HBG as planned because they were in Kabul and it was not possible to leave the country. “I then immediately contacted the father and asked what we could do,” reports Katrin Unger, who is still stunned.

The family had traveled to Kabul at the beginning of the summer vacation to visit their family. “Of course, the first question is always why the family flew to Afghanistan in the first place. In fact, the family went there with a portion of good faith. And they were not entirely alone in their assessment. There were politicians who also misjudged the situation,” she says. A return trip for the family — the youngest child is only one and a half years old — was then simply no longer possible. “They were completely surprised. It came so suddenly. Suddenly the Taliban were there and the airports were closed. That must have been exactly how it was perceived in the media. And the family didn’t want to go into the throng with the small children.”

Fear and insecurity accompany everyday school life

Many students and teachers are very affected, says Katrin Unger. There is fear and great uncertainty among classmates and teachers. Especially with those who know the siblings well. “There are a lot of teachers who are very affected. And the closer the teachers and students were to the children, the greater the sympathy. It was already a mess for them to get started and the joy of seeing them again.”

The situation in Afghanistan is now being discussed more intensively in school in order to educate and take away fear and insecurity. “There are now two empty places. And it was clear from the start that the colleague would address the issue of the children. The students had to find out the background and of course we tried to calm them down. But we also had to make it clear to them about where and why one has to worry,” says Unger.

Rapists Have Human Rights, Too!

A convicted culture-enriching rapist can’t be deported from Germany, because… he doesn’t want to leave.

You can’t make this [solid waste] up.

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from Bild:

Iranian is allowed to stay with us despite being a rapist

Reza B. (44) raped a woman, spent four years in jail, and is still classified as dangerous by the police. But the German state cannot deport the Iranian. Because he simply refuses to leave — and that’s why he stays here!

The case shows once again: Germany has a massive problem with the deportation of serious criminals. Bild am Sonntag reporters found the Iranian in a home for asylum seekers in Bavaria. He told his story: “In 2005 I had to flee Iran. My life was in danger; three of my friends were killed by the police. I fled to Syria, in 2011 to Germany, applied for asylum.”

He doesn’t tell how the story continues. But you can read that in court files: At noon on June 15, 2015, Reza B. asked a woman (21) at the bus station in Schwandorf (Bavaria) where the market square is. Since he did not understand what she was saying, she showed him the way. On the way he pushed her into a bush, tried to kiss her, groped her and raped her.

Four months later she recognized him at the train station in Regensburg and called the police. She had nightmares after the act, woke up screaming at night. So it is recorded in the judgment of the Amberg Regional Court (a copy is in the possession of Bild am Sonntag).

Reza B. denied everything. He made up a fake alibi for the police. He later claimed: The woman went for him — not he for her. He didn’t know she was a lesbian.

Reza B. was finally sentenced to four years imprisonment for rape, but still claims today: ”There was no rape! The woman reported me because she wanted €20 from me — and I didn’t have any money with me.”

In 2018, the Schwandorf District Office ordered his expulsion. On the other hand, he sued the administrative court in Regensburg — and has now lost. The court sees the danger that he could commit further crimes. He is therefore also under supervision of conduct.

Nevertheless: the criminal cannot be deported! Because he doesn’t have a passport. And the Iranian state will only give him a new one if Reza B. declares that he will return to his homeland voluntarily. But he refuses and says to Bild am Sonntag: “I am not signing anything. I want to stay here.” Germany must therefore continue to tolerate the Iranian. That means: He lives in the asylum seekers’ home, is not allowed to work, and collects Hartz IV (€446 per month).

Reza B. is not an isolated case. In 2020, according to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, 57 percent of Iranian asylum seekers did not have a passport. Philipp Pruy (34), a lawyer and migration expert, reports: “Since 2015 I have represented over 100 Iranians in the asylum procedure. But as far as I know, none of the rejected Iranians who were obliged to leave the country signed the declaration of voluntary agreement. None of them wanted to go back to the mullahs’ regime.”

Mutti Pays Off the Taliban

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from JournalistenWatch:

600 million for Taliban-Afghanistan: Why isn’t Merkel charged for supporting a terrorist organization?

by Stefan Schubert
September 11, 2021

What is the difference between needy flood victims in Ahrtal and the radical-Islamist terrorists in Afghanistan? The people in Germany have been robbed of their entire existence, not the least by the failure of politics; they can, perhaps — beginning in October — fill out online forms to apply for state subsidies, which will then, after a review, be paid out sometime. The Merkel government has immediately transferred €600 million to the Taliban terrorists without any bureaucracy or evidence. So much for the priorities of this federal government.

It should not be left unmentioned here that the federal government called on the population to financially support the victims of the flood catastrophe. The citizens with some of the world’s highest taxes and fees should also pay for the failures of politics with additional compensation payments. In the aftermath of the flood catastrophe, it became known that the federal government was responsible for large gaps in disaster control. Over 1,300 special vehicles were lacking, which the federal government was required by law to provide to the states for disaster control. Special vehicles for protection from and for the elimination of biological, radiological, and nuclear dangers are short by about 30%. The former chief of Technical Relief (THW), Albrecht Broemme, was quoted in Der Spiegel with the following words on disaster control in Germany: “The whole world is laughing at us”.

Taliban: Murderers of German soldiers receive German tax money

Until the takeover of the Taliban, politics and the mainstream media observed the same assessment of the fully-bearded radical-Islamists: A brutal, Middle Ages terror organization that oppresses girls and women, including forced marriages, rape, and stoning. Homosexuals are not only verbally persecuted, but sometimes end up on the gallows, and Islamic Sharia stands above any law or human rights.

The Taliban were mainly described as a brutal terror organization, who with bombs and suicide attackers blew up and mutilated thousands of Western soldiers. Afghans who were accused of being collaborators with the West were shot on the spot without any due process. In addition, the Taliban are close allies of other Islamist terrorist organizations, like Al Qaeda, who murder worldwide in the name of Islam as well as persecute and terrorize Western citizens as “unbelievers”.

Has anything changed in any of these points since the Taliban took Kabul in a coup and inflicted a humiliating military defeat on the West?

No, it has not. The blood of countless victims of their reign of terror, including the blood of dozens of murdered German soldiers, still clings to the hands of the Taliban and their close allies from Al-Qaeda.

What are the survivors and traumatized Afghanistan-veterans supposed to feel when the Chancellor of the Federal Republic stands in front of the microphones of the capital city (Berlin) press and announces talks now with the Taliban? These bloodthirsty Middle Ages monsters have now, from one day to the next, been upgraded by Mrs. Merkel to equal negotiating partners?

No Vax, No Pay!

Many thanks to Hellequin GB for translating this article from News.de:

Coronavirus news: loss of wages for unvaccinated people! Federal states decide to stop payments

In the case of quarantine, unvaccinated people face massive loss of wages. The Infection Protection Act makes it possible to suspend the entitlement to continued wages in certain cases. The first federal states have already decided on the loss of wages.

In Germany, almost 62 percent of the population are now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. But in order to get through the months ahead, the willingness to vaccinate has to increase. The pressure on the unvaccinated is increasing: Normally, employees continue to receive their wages if they cannot work due to an officially ordered quarantine. But for those who have not been vaccinated, there could soon be no longer any entitlement to continued payment of wages. According to Bild, Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn spoke out on Wednesday for tightened measures.

However, appropriate regulations must be made by the federal states. For Spahn, it is understandable if unvaccinated employees are no longer entitled to continued wages in quarantine. “In the end, it is the taxpayers who finance the wage replacement benefit — for someone who could have been vaccinated,” said the Federal Minister.

“We have the means in hand to inoculate ourselves back to freedom and normalcy,” emphasized the minister. It is true that the vaccination is the personal and free decision of each individual. But it is also a question that concerns others. “I don’t see why others should pay in the long run if someone doesn’t opt for the free vaccination if they could.”

Infection Protection Act regulates the right to continued payment of wages

The Infection Protection Act regulates the right to continued payment of wages in the case of quarantine. According to the regulation, this entitlement may be waived if the quarantine could have been avoided by being vaccinated. Since the beginning of the corona pandemic, the federal states have paid €458 million for continued wages.

Baden-Württemberg is now the first federal state to take action. From September 15, unvaccinated people will not receive any compensation in the event of quarantine. From October 1st, this should also apply in Rhineland-Palatinate. And Hessen also wants to join. This is different in Bavaria: here, compensation should be decided in each individual case. Some federal states even require a nationwide regulation.

Choose Your Battles Wisely

After President Biden announced that the federal government was going to force as many people as it possibly could to get vaxed, the deplorable patriots and domestic insurrectionists of the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy immediately took to the Internet to express their outrage. Many of them vowed (some of them quite explicitly) to rise up in armed rebellion against a tyrannical government, which is exactly what the Deep State has been salivating for so that it can initiate a maximum-force crackdown on anyone who opposes the actions of FedGov.

I have just three words to say to those good patriots who are ready to pledge their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to overthrow the despotism that is being imposed on them:

YOU’RE BEING PLAYED.

It’s not the first time such a trap has been sprung on you. I can remember several recent similar operations, beginning with the occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge back in 2016. It was pretty clear from the beginning that the patriots had been set up by the feds, and we were fortunate that the trial judge eventually required the prosecution to reveal who the FBI agents were among the occupiers. It turned out that a remarkably high percentage of the group (I forget exactly how many) were FBI informers, including one at a high level of the leadership with responsibility for strategy and planning. In other words, the foolhardy mission was at least partially instigated and directed by the FBI.

In that small battle against tyranny, the patriots lost. The operation was tailor-made to provide reams of negative publicity against them in the media, turning at least some portion of public opinion against those who stand up for their Second Amendment rights. LaVoy Finicum ended up dead, the patriots went on trial and just barely escaped long prison terms, the movement was discredited, and all for nothing.

They were played.

Except for the exposure of their infiltrators, the Feds won big-time on that one.

It was obvious from the get-go that Malheur was a set-up. It prompted Matt Bracken to create this meme pic in advance of the next one, the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville in August of 2017:

Wiser heads could tell it was a set-up, and stayed away. But enough people took the bait and showed up to create another fiasco, providing the Deep State with exactly what it wanted. The organizer of the event was clearly a government plant. Rent-a-Nazis were bused in to provide the desired photo-ops for the media. And the patriots were kettled in what was then called Lee Park, to be ushered out into the waiting arms of Antifa on Market Street at the end of the event.

The Deep State and the media got their martyr, and significant political damage was done to Donald Trump, which was the main objective. Now the statues of General Lee are gone from everywhere, and Trump has been successfully deposed. It was a big win for the feds, much bigger than Malheur, and the patriots gained exactly nothing from it.

They were played.

The next big one was the “insurrection” at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. That was also an FBI-managed event, probably to an even greater extent than Malheur. Antifa operatives turned up in MAGA gear to create the desired photo ops making Trump supporters look violent and evil. A large number of earnest, well-meaning, but imprudent patriots were deliberately let into the building to make sure that there would be hundreds of “insurrectionists” — cannon fodder — arrested for the eventual show trials. And once again Trump supporters were discredited in the eyes of millions of their fellow citizens who might have sympathized with their cause under other circumstances.

The consequences of that ill-advised operation are still playing out. The omnipresent surveillance imposed by the Patriot Act is being extended even further. Those who publish material like this that criticizes the State — or even milder dissent — are being marked as domestic terrorists.

It was a massive loss for the patriots, who gained nothing from it.

You were played.

Please don’t be played again this time.

Ever since January 6 the DHS, and especially the FBI, have been busy assembling the next trap for all those good patriots who just can’t learn from their mistakes. Every obnoxious totalitarian action of the past eight months has been designed to provoke Second Amendment supporters into imprudent action.

Non-Terrorist Somali Stabs a Lot of People at the Beach in Italy

Come to sunny Rimini for the surf and sand and Somalis running around stabbing people!

Last night a Somali “refugee” at a beach resort in Italy stabbed five people, including a child. Somehow the authorities have already ruled out terrorism as a motive for the incident. So what do you call running around stabbing strangers, if not terrorism? Was he just engaged in a culture-enriching hobby that just happens to involve knives and exsanguination?

I expect “a history of psychological problems” to feature in the news reports before this story gets much older:

Five People Stabbed in Italian Resort, Somali Man Arrested

MILAN (Reuters) – A Somali asylum-seeker was arrested by Italian police after he allegedly stabbed four women and a six-year-old child in the tourist town of Rimini on Saturday night, ANSA news agency reported on Sunday.

Investigators were for the moment ruling out terrorism as the motive, ANSA added.

Interior minister Luciana Lamorgese called the incident “extremely serious” and said in a statement that she would be in Rimini on Monday to attend a security meeting.

The man wounded two women ticket controllers on a bus with a knife and then, after escaping, three other people, including the child, according to Italian media reports.

And check out the punch line of the story: the perp has been flitting around Europe for six years, trying to find a country that will accept him as a refugee:

The Somali man, 26, had been in Italy for a few months and had applied for refugee status. He had been in Europe since 2015 and had already applied for refugee status in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands, ANSA said.
