AP Corrects Ivermectin Fake News — Only 2% Poison Control Calls, Not 70%

The Associated Press issued a correction to a story last month that claimed a hospital in Mississippi was inundated with patients who overdosed on Ivermectin.

In the article from August 24, titled, “Livestock medicine doesn’t work against COVID, doctors warn,” the AP falsely reported that 70 percent of Mississippi’s poison control calls were related to Ivermectin.

Big Tech’s Censorship of Ivermectin Stories Depend on Who’s Sharing it

The use of the drug Ivermectin to treat COVID has been one of the long-time targets of censorship both on social media and by large corporate outlets, some of whom are not stopping there, but also resort to publishing fake news and misinformation about this type of treatment.

Earlier in the pandemic. saga, the narrative around Ivermectin and several other medications has been that they doesn’t really work as a cure for COVID and therefore should not be used or recommended; the root of this “Ivermectin scare” was also accused of being largely political, because it was pushed by media outlets opposed to Donald Trump, who in turn promoted the drug.

Country Music Songwriter Jeffrey Steele Releases New Song ‘Afghanistan’ After Watching Biden’s Disastrous Pull-Out From the Country

Songwriter Jeffrey Steele, who has written songs for decades for some of the biggest names in music, released a song this past week called ‘Afghanistan’ inspired by Biden’s deadly and disasterous departure from that country.

Breitbart reports:

Country music songwriter Jeffrey Steele’s career spans more than three decades and encompasses numerous hit singles, most notably “What Hurts the Most,” and “These Days” for Rascal Flatts. He has written for some of Nashville’s biggest names, including Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Now, Steele has released a single simply called “Afghanistan,” a song inspired by the Biden administration’s disastrous pull out that left thousands of American civilians and allies stranded behind enemy lines and led to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.

Here are some of the lyrics from the song:

My arms won’t move
my legs are numb
I know I’m here
I can feel the heat
the sound of bullets rushing by me
on and on they come
I’m so far from home everyone I know is gone

LANL Workers to Protest Vaccine Mandate Tuesday

From The New Mexico Freedoms Alliance:

In response to Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for all employees, hundreds of workers will be Calling Out and gathering 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 in a Freedom Assembly at Ashley Pond Park.

The Call Out is a demonstration of how many LANL workers could potentially leave the organization if the rule-makers do not rescind the vaccine mandate, and thereby force many workers off the job permanently.

In an open letter to LANL management, employees wrote:

“We believe in our inalienable Constitutional rights as Americans to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness; our civil rights pursuant under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and our basic human rights as accepted under Codes of Medical Ethics, including the Nuremberg Code and the Declaration of Helsinki. We believe that it is our God given and legal right to make our own health decision without fear of discrimination, harassment, bullying, or coercion.

“The existence of COVID-19 does not justify the numerous violations of fundamental individual, economic and religious liberties. These include the rights of personal autonomy and bodily integrity, and the right to accept or reject the various COVID vaccines based on religious belief or other grounds…

“WE have faced discrimination, harassment, bullying and coercion from YOUR management and other employees without any consideration for our rights…

“We ask you to stand by us the way we have stood by you in the hardest time we have seen in our careers. Support us in making the best choices for ourselves. Show us that we are valued as humans, not only as employees. Show us that we are appreciated as employees and for our dedication. We are asking you to uphold our rights to bodily autonomy, without forced vaccination. We will continue to accomplish our missions the same way we have for the last 20 months.”

No government or institution can know what is best for any other human being’s medical choices. People have diverse healthcare needs, and one-size-fits-all medical solutions are not appropriate.

Unethical vaccine mandates are affecting many people across New Mexico, including healthcare workers, teachers, corrections officers, first responders, military personnel, and many essential workers. Every New Mexican deserves the right to choose what happens to their own body. The people who want to get vaccinated should do so. Those who don’t want to do so have the fundamental human right to say NO!

All who support the right to bodily autonomy are invited to join the Freedom Assembly 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Ashley Pond Park.

Poetry Mag Barren Drops Editor Over Tweet

US literary publication the Barren Magazine has decided to part ways with its poetry editor, Danielle Rose, over a tweet where she expressed her opinion regarding the status of poetry in today’s society.

In her tweet posted on September 2, Rose said that she wished her fellow poets understood that the lack of interest in their work from a majority of “regular” people meant they were “speaking to each other” — but that many did no not realize that.

Virginia Judges Toss Last-Ditch Efforts to Save Robert E. Lee Statue

A gargantuan statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, standing on state-owned property in Richmond and fenced off since the beginning of the year, will finally come down. Two justices of the Virginia Supreme Court, ruling in two separate cases, have agreed that Gov. Ralph Northam has the power to dismantle the statue. When Northam first announced removal plans last summer, at the height of the protests against the death of George Floyd, a small group of nearby residents and a descendant of the family that donated the site over a century ago filed suit against Northam.

Both suits failed but the plaintiffs appealed to the high court. The justices there determined that “restrictive covenants” in the nineteenth-century deeds that transferred the statue to the state are “unreasonable” as their effect forces the state to endorse “a message with which it now disagrees.” Richmond, the former capital of the Confederacy, has already removed several monuments, including two commemorating Stonewall Jackson and Jefferson Davis. As of Thursday, removal activity on the Lee status had not begun.

Czechia Might Cancel Face Mask Mandate if 75% of Czech Get Vaccinated

Abolishing the mandatory obligation to wear face masks and other measures for mass events will be possible when about 75 percent of the population is vaccinated against Covid-19, said Health Minister Adam Vojtech. He estimates that this could be achieved by the end of autumn.

About 54 percent of people are now fully vaccinated against the COVID-19. However, according to the president of the Czech Medical Chamber, Milan Kubek, collective immunity will be achieved when vaccination reaches 85 to 90 percent.

“We can repeal the measures when we reach higher vaccination coverage. Even in the campaign we say let’s make it to at least 75 percent and then we can talk about relaxing the measures, as in other countries,” Vojtech said.

German-Funded Event Turns Into PR Nightmare for Poland’s Left-Wing Opposition

“Campus Poland of the Future” was a social-political event organized under the patronage of Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, which took place in the city of Olsztyn between Aug. 27 and Sept. 2. The event was planned as a showcase of political and social power of those involved, and convince Poles that they are ready to take over management of the country with ideas and enthusiasm. Now, it has turned into a series of gaffes and political nonsense, some of which can be labeled as classic hate speech.

During “Campus Poland”, there were calls to persecute Catholics (Polish politician Slawomir Nitras) and journalists (the liberal economist Leszek Balcerowicz), some urged to reduce the number of hospitals (opposition’s Speaker of the Senate Tomasz Grodzki), and others even thought it was a good idea to punish their own country (former EU commissioner Elzbieta Bienkowska).

Taliban Say They Took Panjshir, Last Holdout Afghan Province

Thousands of Taliban fighters charged into eight districts of Panjshir province overnight, according to witnesses from the area who spoke on condition of anonymity because they feared for their safety. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed that the province, which is north of the capital, was now held by their fighters.

The resisting forces were led by the former vice president, Amrullah Saleh, and also the son of the iconic anti-Taliban fighter Ahmad Shah Massoud. Experts had doubted that the holdout efforts could succeed long-term against the Taliban, whose rapid advance through Afghanistan met little resistance in the final days of America’s 20-year war in the country.

UK ‘Won’t Give France a PENNY of the £54m Promised to Help Stop Flood of Migrants’ Unless Authorities Start Stemming the Tide Warns Priti Patel as a Record ‘1,000’ Cross the Channel in One Day

Priti Patel says she is ready to withhold the £54million promised to France to block migrant crossings after reports of a record-breaking 1,000 making the journey in one day.

The Home Secretary met Conservative MPs last night and blamed the French for the significant numbers of people coming across the Channel, claiming she was prepared to pull the funding that was pledged less than two months ago if they do not stop three in four crossings by the end of the month, The Times reports.

Ms Patel is said to be furious at the low numbers being intercepted since she signed off on the £54million payment to France to double the number of patrols.

She told MPs: ‘We’ve not given them a penny of the money so far and France is going to have to get its act together if it wants to see the cash. It’s payment by results and we’ve not yet seen those results. The money is conditional.’

Her warning came as migrant crossings hit another record high with reports of 1,000 men, women and children spotted making the journey to Britain on Monday.

[Comment: Wow. One thousand in one day.]

  3. It seems that these Afghani savages who will be brought to the USA as the latest culture enrichers, are the gift that keeps on giving.

Here’s a link to an interesting article from the National Institute of Health on the topic

“Genetic variants associated with diseases in Afghan population.”

It seems that almost 50% of the little buggers procreate with their first cousins which in turn leads to serious genetic disorders.

But no worry- the Bidenistas, courtesy of the US taxpayer have endless generosity for all illegals, regardless of race, creed, color, religion or national origin.
