US Unemployment Rises for Third Straight Week as 362,000 File for Benefits

WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits rose for the third straight week, a sign that the highly contagious delta variant may be slowing a recovery in the job market.

Claims rose unexpectedly by 11,000 last week to 362,000, the Labor Department said Thursday, though economists had been expecting claims to go in the opposite direction. The four-week moving average of claims, which smooths out week-to-week ups and downs, rose for the first time in seven weeks to 340,000.

Biden’s ‘Build Back Better’ Act Proposes to Increase Fines on Businesses TEN FOLD for Non-Vaxxed Employees

Joe Biden’s so called “Build Back Better’ Act has included COVID as an occupational hazard, and proposes to increase fines for non-compliant companies by TEN TIMES, meaning they could face punishments of $700,000 per violation for employees who are not vaccinated.

The Daily Mail reports that fines for “willful and repeated violation” of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) will increase from $70,000 for each violation to $700,000 under the $3.5 trillion spending legislation.

The report also notes that serious violations will go up from $7,000 to $70,000, while repeated violations will mean fines of no less than $50,000 per violation, increased from $5,000.

Any business that does not address and correct the violation within an allocated time period will then be fined $70,000 PER DAY, up from $7,000.

Fairfax Schools Sues Special-Ed Parents, Demanding ‘Damages’ For Publicizing Embarrassing Records the Schools Gave Them

Soon after The Daily Wire published an investigation that was unflattering to Democratic politician Terry McAuliffe and the Fairfax County Public Schools, FCPS filed legal action against the story’s source: the mother of a special-ed parent who relayed records that the school system provided to her under public records laws.

It also sued another mother of a special-needs student who runs a blog that published portions of the records. The documents are billing records showing how FCPS paid Hunton Andrews Kurth, a law firm that hired now-Virginia gubernatorial candidate McAuliffe as a top advisor, to do much of what parents say is the school system’s dirty work, including seeking to dismiss a class action lawsuit filed by special-ed parents who allege that their children were systematically physically abused by educators.

A group of teachers in New York City have formally asked the Supreme Court of the United States to take up the case surrounding their impending vaccine mandate, which is set to expire soon.

On Tuesday, federal judges lifted the injunction against the vaccine mandate for the city’s teachers. As of tomorrow, Friday at 5 PM, school employees need to have had their COVID shot.

Nurses Speak Out at Minnesota Town Hall Meeting on COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries and Lack of Reporting to VAERS

Minnesota State Representative Erik Mortensen recently conducted a Town Hall meeting in his district due to the number of healthcare workers who were contacting him about COVID-19 vaccine mandates, where most of them were about to lose their jobs for refusing to receive a COVID-19 shot.

He also heard a lot of things from these nurses that were not being repeated in the corporate media, so the Town Hall meeting was recorded and published on AlphaNews recently.

Some of these nurses reported that they have been in their field for over 20 years, were treated as heroes last year as frontline workers in COVID wards, but were now being ridiculed and ostracized for not wanting to take a COVID-19 vaccine.

One of the reasons they do not want to take the shots is because they have seen first hand how these shots have killed and injured people, including family members.

Parent’s Choice LA Protests in Front of Ouachita Parish School Board

Parent’s Choice LA, a group favoring parents’ rights to medical decision-making power for their children, held a protest outside the Ouachita Parish School Board office late Thursday afternoon with the message that masks should be made optional in schools.

“Masks need to be optional,” said Parent’s Choice LA President Tiffany Hatten. “If the (Louisiana Department of Education) can suggest for quarantine to be a parent’s choice, then the (Emergency Use Authorization) medical intervention of using a mask either needs to be an option, or they need to be able to provide the EUA document right of refusal for these parents to be able to legally refuse consent of participation in an experimental intervention.”

The protest comes two days after Gov. John Bel Edwards issued a second mask mandate extension, bringing the mandate’s projected end date to Oct. 27. The ongoing mandate applies to anyone ages 5 and older in public spaces, which includes schools and college campuses.

Hundreds of Ontario Businesses Band Together in Defiance of Vaccine Passports

Across Ontario, more and more small businesses are taking a stand against the province’s vaccine passport.

From Toronto to Hamilton and everywhere in between, small businesses have been impacted by Ontario’s introduction of a proof of vaccination system, which has now come to be known as a vaccine passport. The policy requires that certain “non-essential” businesses verify the vaccination status of potential patrons, and refuse entry to those who cannot prove they have received both doses.

Ontario’s vaccine passport has garnered support from some, and condemnation from others who see it as a violation of peoples’ rights and freedoms, as well as the beginning of a slippery slope towards more government involvement in citizens’ private lives.

A Facebook group called Ontario Businesses Against Health Pass was created on August 25 in order to “compile a list of businesses that believe a health passport in Ontario is unconstitutional.” The group urges Ontarians to “make the biggest change with where we decide to spend OUR money.” At the time of writing, there are nearly 140,000 members.

AfD is a ‘People’s Party’ In Eastern Germany, Says Election Expert

The political scientist Hans Vorländer has confirmed that the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is increasingly anchored in the Eastern German state, with the party taking on the role of East German lobbyist from both the Left Party and the Christian Democrats (CDU).

“It acts as a party that represents East German interests. A party that cares — and you can often say that it really does,” said the Dresden expert on Tuesday in the WDR.

As Vorländer went on to explain, in the elections, the AfD put up candidates in the region that were craftsmen, police officers, and engineers who could bind local communities. In this way, the party develops a sense of affiliation, from which it can then draw, according to a report from Junge Freiheit.

Communists Take Control of Second-Largest City in Austria

The Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) achieved historic success in Sunday’s election to the city council of Graz, the second-largest city in the country, with analysts crediting the communists’ program to tackle the issue of skyrocketing housing prices as the reason behind their historic victory.

With 28.8 percent of the vote, the KPÖ was also able to defeat the Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP), whose mayor Siegfried Nagl headed the city for 18 years and resigned after the election result was announced.

Elke Kahr, the head of the KPÖ candidate list, thus has a chance to become the first communist mayor of the capital of the federal state of Styria. So far, nothing comparable has happened in any of the capitals of the nine Austrian states.

Communist Propagandist Still Shapes How Czechs View Poles

On Sept. 18, on the most read Czech portal Novinky.cz, appeared an article written by Czech correspondent to Poland, Pavol Minarik, about “LGBT free zones”. In the text, one can read the following:

“Poland is divided into 16 regions (voivodships) which hitherto were the main benefactors of European operational funds. Five of them in the East, in which around 12 out of 38.5 million people live, have been dominated by ‘LGBT-free zones’ since 2019. For example, they forbid sexual minority entry into cafes, restaurants, cinemas, and public parts, which in Brussels’s opinion is against social norms.”

The article is filled with flat-out lies. There are no “LGBT-free zones” in Poland. This is more of the fake news let loose throughout the world by LGBT activist Bart Staszewski, the same “activist” who posted fake photos on the internet of “LGBT-free zone” signs outside Polish municipalities, which the activist hung up himself. What is true is that there are regions in Poland that have passed bills supporting families and opposing the spread of “LGBT ideology” in schools.

Czech PM Worried EU Restrictions on Emissions Could Harm Economy, Wants the Issue Addressed by EU Council

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis said that he had asked for the topic of emission allowances to be included in the European Council’s agenda on Oct. 5. The allowances are now the subject of speculation, they have a huge negative impact on our industry. The assumptions, therefore, have not been fulfilled at all, and they harm our companies and that harm is being passed on to our inhabitants.”

Italian Forests Increase in Size, CO2 Absorption Capacity

Bringing down planetary fever says Carabinieri report

(ANSA) — ROME, SEP 29 — Italian forests have increases in size and their capacity to absorb CO2, a report out Wednesday said.

In the last 10 years, said the Carabinieri’s national inventory on forest carbon reservoirs, the national wooded surface area has risen by around 587,000 hectares to a total of some 11 million hectares.

The forest biomass is up 18.4% in that time, the report said.

This has enabled Italian woods and forests to absorb 290 million more tonnes of CO2.

The report, complied with the help of environmental group CREA, was said to be a “green thermometer” able to gauge the state of vitality of Italian forests and their contribution to bringing down the planet’s fever from the climate crisis.

Woods cover some 36.7% of Italian territory, the survey said.

The number of cubic metres of biomass per hectare has risen from 144.9 to 165.4 since 2011, the report said.

The amount of CO2 absorbed from the atmosphere has gone from 1.789 million tonnes to 2.088 million, it said.

That corresponds to 569 million tonnes of CO2 trapped in biomass and dead wood.

“Carbon dioxide is the greenhouse gas most responsible for the global rise in temperatures and forests play an essential role in protecting natural and global environmental equilibria,” said the Carabinieri forest rangers.

Poland: Identity Politics Dominate at Poland’s Gdynia Film Festival

Almost a century ago, Vladimir Lenin announced that cinema was to be the most important of the arts. What he meant, of course, was the powerful emotive power movies would have in the construction of communism. Often, outstanding filmmakers enthusiastically included their own personal political aims and beliefs in the films that they created.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party kept an eye out so that no one who disagreed with the path set out by it would be able to make films. This was quite simple because filmmaking was financed by the state, whose representatives immediately reacted to any sort of deviation. Nazi German propaganda later also used these lessons for its own needs.

The Gdynia Film Festival has just ended. The films shown at it will (or will not) eventually be shown on the silver screen across the country. But the films themselves don’t matter as much here. After watching the award ceremony streamed live by Polish public television, one comes to the conclusion that the jury was not particularly concerned with the artistic values of the movies it was evaluating.

Switzerland: Climate Activist Sentenced for Civil Disobedience

A climate activist from Extinction Rebellion (XR) has been given a three-year suspended prison sentence and fined CHF1,000 ($1,070) for taking part in protest events in Lausanne.

The judge rejected the man’s freedom to demonstrate peacefully but without authorisation.

The trial of the 30-year-old man, co-founder of Lausanne Action Climat and XR Lausanne, was the first of a series of trials of around 200 climate activists who had carried out protest actions in Lausanne, canton Vaud, in 2019 and 2020. A dozen trials of around 60 defendants are planned by the end of the year.

The man had taken part in three protest actions — on a bridge, at a roundabout and at other intersections in the city centre — with the aim of blocking traffic. He was found guilty of obstructing services of general interest, obstructing an official act, violating traffic rules and violating police regulations, among other charges.

UK Military Wants to Spy on Social Media to Detect “Change in Population Sentiment”

The UK Ministry of Defence has inadvertently revealed its plan to spy on social media platforms in order to detect “change(s) in population sentiment.”

Despite ostensibly being about “better use of existing silos,” the MoD’s Data Strategy for Defence document explains how the military should move towards “Automated scanning of social media platforms” to detect “change in population sentiment.”

“Nowhere does the document explain why a strategy paper has gone so far off the beaten track that it promotes collecting data the MoD doesn’t have and using it for decidedly non-military purposes,” reports the Register.

UK: Judge Rules Firing of Train Worker Over Social Media Post Breached Equality Act

A train conductor in the UK who was fired for posting what was accused of being an “Islamophobic” remark on social media is protected by the equality law, a judge ruled at the assessment.

“We must button-up, face it, stiff upper lip, if necessary herd immunity it, but we must learn to live with it & not let our fantastic culture & way of life be trashed,” he added in the Facebook post.

Will Europe’s Housing Crisis Spark a Socialist Revolution?

Rental costs and housing prices have risen dramatically worldwide — if anything, the pandemic has only accelerated this trend. A potent cocktail of central bank money printing, increased institutional buying, and failed government policy have fueled another runaway housing crisis that governments are struggling to contain. As a result, not only is the dream of buying a house or apartment increasingly out of reach for many people, particularly the young, but even something as deceptively simple as paying the rent has become a widespread and intractable societal problem.

The German capital of Berlin is perhaps a window into what kind of extreme policies people may be willing to embrace in order to correct what they see as the excesses taking place in the real estate market. On the same day Germans went to the polls to elect a new federal government, Berlin also held a non-binding referendum on whether the city government should seize a significant number of rental property from some of the biggest real estate giants operating in the country. The groundbreaking measure, designed to force real estate companies to sell off their apartments, won with the backing of 56 percent of voters.

Czech PM Thanks Hungary for Erecting Border Fence in 2015

During Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s visit to Czechia, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis thanked Hungary for being the only country that defended the Schengen border from the influx of migrants at a time when the then German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed them and uttered the well-known “Wir schaffen das” statement.

Hungary Fully Supports Lithuanian Efforts to Stem Illegal Immigration

Hungary is in full support of Lithuanian and Polish efforts to stem illegal immigration, Justice Minister Judit Varga announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

“Like us, Lithuania has proven that when it comes to defending borders, only national solutions will succeed. Yet the European Commission insists on its New Migration Pact, which further encourages relocation,” Varga wrote.

“Hungary strongly supports Lithuania’s border protection efforts. That is manifested not only in words but also in deeds: we donated border barrier equipment to Vilnius that will help to more efficiently protect our common Schengen borders,” she continued. “Member states must provide adequate support to each other when common security is at stake.”

Italian Court Hands Former Mayor Famed for Aiding Migrants 13 Years in Jail

A mayor once held up as a model for migrant integration in Italy was sentenced to 13 years in jail on Thursday for a series of crimes including abetting illegal immigration.

Domenico Lucano, the mayor of Riace in southern Italy until 2018, made headlines around the world for welcoming migrants to the sparsely-populated Calabrian village in a bid to boost jobs and development.

Prosecutors had called for the 63-year old, known as Mimmo, to be sentenced to seven years and 11 months for a series of crimes, including conspiracy, abuse of office, fraud, extortion and embezzlement.

His lawyers said the court found him guilty on nearly every count, and gave him almost double the jail time — 13 years and two months — sparking disbelief and outrage among supporters and the political left.

Poland: ‘It’s a Horse, Not a Cow’ — Bizarre Media ‘Fact-Check’ On Reports of Bestiality, Child Porn on Migrant Phones

Liberal media outlets issued bizarre “fact-checks” after the Polish government revealed migrants have videos of executions and illegal sex acts on their phones, objecting that a bestiality video featured a mare rather than a cow as originally reported, for example.

Poland declared a state of emergency on its border with Belarus, the former Soviet Socialist Republic governed by Alexander Lukashenko, after the quasi-Stalinist regime in Minsk began pushing migrants from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia into the country and the neighbouring EU member-state of Lithuania earlier this year.

A Curious Incuriosity

I have a high IQ — above 150 last time it was tested. … I’m not bragging per se because I think IQ is a very limited measurement, but nonetheless, nobody who knows me, who has met and conversed with me would, objectively, think I’m stupid or uneducated.

I have two Master’s degrees, a couple of patents, and have been told by one employer that I was probably the most intelligent person who ever worked there. …

Nonetheless, as a person who has openly stated that I used to be a “climate alarmist” and now am a “climate change denier skeptic” I reflect on the fact that I can count the number of people who have asked why I’ve changed my mind on one hand. With fingers left over.

Virtually nobody, even those whom I’ve known for years, asks what seems to me to be fundamental questions: Why did you change your mind? Can you tell me more? What are you reading that I’m not? And perhaps the most fundamental & introspective question of all, ‘What if I am the one who is wrong?

In an effort to fight what it says is “misinformation,” Google said it will start adding “context” and more details to search results. The search giant believes more context would dissuade users from opening unreliable sources.

In the search results, Google will add more details about a source in its own words or information and reviews from other websites, the company announced during Wednesday’s Search On event.

The feminist MP who pulled out of attending the Labour Party conference over security issues has accused her colleagues of “chucking [her] on the railway tracks” because she wants to use the word “woman”.

  1. Maybe the answer in New South Wales is for everyone who loves freedom to go to businesses with obviously fake vaxx certificates and force the vaxxholes to jail them all. They would quickly run out of jail cells to hold them all, and court capacity to try them all.

Force them to play by their own rules and crash the system that way.

  2. “On Sept. 18, on the most read Czech portal Novinky.cz, appeared an article written by Czech correspondent to Poland, Pavol Minarik, about “LGBT free zones”. In the text, one can read the following:”

Novinky.cz is esentially a propaganda tabloid, you can’t expect serious news from them.

  3. “President Joe Biden wants to put an actual Communist — self-proclaimed “radical” Cornell University law school professor Saule Omarova — in charge of the nation’s banking system.” Since the demise of International Socialism. there are only national socialist, aka bernie s.. Or more properly know as fascists.

    • All the commiecrats are marxist of the communist kind, the left keeps pushing the normal people far right by the day.

  4. With those fines of $ 700 000 the USA sure knows how to kill the economy dead in its tracks . What will that help when the only ones dying are the vaxed ? It sure is the road to hell. I hope people are prepping for the worst in US history. Everything is going to come crashing the way they are handling matters at present.
