177 Stanford Faculty Members Urge DOJ to Stop Looking for Chinese Spies in Academia Because it Causes “Racial Profiling”

A group of Stanford professors have come together to urge the Justice Department to stop looking for Chinese spies at U.S. universities, a September 8 letter from the group reads.

Arguing that such programs cause “racial profiling”, the professors claim the “China Initiative”, which was set up to prevent U.S. technology theft, is “harming the United States’ research and technology competitiveness and “is fueling biases”, Reuters reported.

Americans Turned Away From Virginia Hospitals Because of Influx of Afghan Evacuees

Old Joe Biden’s handlers are bringing 94,000 Afghan evacuees into the United States, at the cost of $6.4 billion of your money. The overall cost, however, may end up being even higher than that, and even the establishment media’s most committed far-Left propaganda organs are noticing. The Washington Post reported Tuesday that “[t]he mass arrival of Afghan evacuees last month, many in need of medical care, wreaked havoc on Northern Virginia’s hospital system — prompting a regional emergency response group to assume oversight after one hospital became overwhelmed with patients and federal officials lost track of where some Afghans were hospitalized, officials said.”

Biden Surgeon General Claims Vaccine Mandates Are “Part of a Long Tradition” In U.S.

Appearing on NBC News Sunday, Biden Surgeon General Vivek Murthy ludicrously claimed that the government putting requirements on people to take vaccines is a long held American tradition.

Meet The Press host Chuck Todd asked Murthy why Biden has flip flopped on vaccine mandates after previously saying the government shouldn’t get involved in such policies.

Murthy pulled out the stock answer, “from the beginning the president and all of us have said we’ve got to use every lever we have in order to fight this pandemic. And that’s what you see happening right now.”

California Republicans Shocked to Discover They’ve ‘Already Voted’ in Recall Election

Residents of San Fernando Valley, California were shocked after showing up to vote in the state’s gubernatorial recall election, only to be told by polling station workers that they had already voted.

88-year-old Estelle Bender, a Republican, said she wasn’t the only person who was told incorrectly that they had already voted.

“The man next to me was arguing the same thing,” said Bender, who was given a provisional ballot that she filled out and then “left really angry.”

“I’d still like to know how I voted,” Bender told KTLA.

[Comment: I’m willing to bet that the ballot was marked for Democrats.]

California Medical Ethics Prof With Natural Immunity Sues University Over Vaxx Mandate

Authored by Jonathan Turley

We recently discussed the lawsuit filed by a George Mason University professor who refused to get the Covid vaccine upon the recommendation of his doctors and due to his natural antibodies after recovering from the virus. GMU later relented and gave him an exception. However, now a University of California professor has sued on the same ground. Aaron Kheriaty, professor of psychiatry and human behavior at the University of California at Irvine, is the latest effort to force review of the issue of natural antibodies as a protection from Covid.

D.C. Prepares for ‘Justice for J6’ Rally in Support of January 6 Detainees, Many Still in Solitary

Trump operative Matt Braynard and his organization “Look Ahead America” are planning a rally in Washington, D.C., to support those still languishing in jail for their part in the mostly peaceful January 6 protest-turned-melee.

More than 600 people have been arrested, most of them for misdemeanors. Many non-violent offenders were locked up with no chance of bail.

January 6 detainee FAST FACTS:

  • Many are in solitary confinement, making them look more like political prisoners
  • One was reportedly beaten so badly by guards that he lost vision in one eye
  • Detainees report they aren’t allowed to speak privatelywith their lawyers
  • Republican Reps have tried to speak on their behalf to the DOJ and the prison warden, only to get shunned by both

Despite the lefty histrionics, no one has thus far been charged with “sedition”

Journalism Schools Produce ‘Useless’ Degrees, Leaving Graduates Deep in Debt

The WSJ’s education reporters have been on a roll lately, publishing a deeply reported series of stories about the unintended consequences of the fact that there’s no lending cap on the federal government’s “Grad Plus” student loan program. By allowing students with little to no income to borrow unlimited funds to further their education in the graduate domain (while leaving taxpayers on the hook for losses), pricey graduate degree programs have proliferated like the clap. And surprisingly, only a small fraction of these programs allow the average graduate to comfortably pay off their loans without financial help from their parents.

Back in June, WSJ published its initial deep-dive into high priced “useless” masters degrees offered by elite Ivy League Universities. The a few weeks after that, it followed up with a deep-dive on second— and third-tier law and MBA programs, which boomed in popularity over the past twenty to thirty years, only for many graduates to realize that six-figure jobs are mostly reserved for graduates from the top-tier programs.

Now, WSJ is targeting another universe of “useless” degrees: the master’s degree in journalism. Expensive programs for what is by all accounts a dying discipline abound, with the “leading” programs found at Columbia, Northwestern and USC. Roughly a dozen other expensive programs continue to enroll students across the US. Together, they produce thousands of graduates a year for an industry that has seen the number of available jobs shrink practically every year for the last two decades.

Judge Orders Blogger to Hand Over Devices in Lawsuit Over Blog Comments

Kevin Brookman runs a blog called We the People Hartford. Anonymous commenters of the blog accused Lt. Vincent Benvenuto of being racist. In retaliation, Benvenuto filed a lawsuit against Brookman, yet he is not the one that made the racism accusations, commenters on his blog did.

Trump Slams Bush’s 9/11 Speech: Man “Responsible for Death of Perhaps Millions of People” Shouldn’t Lecture Anybody

Donald Trump didn’t hold back in Monday comments reacting to former President George W. Bush’s speech marking the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Bush lamented the “malign force” of a nation divided and seemed to put events of the tail-end of the Trump presidency center stage.

Bush spoke at the United Airlines Flight 93 memorial service on Saturday in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Filled merely with patriotic nostalgia, noticeably absent was even a hint of regret over his previously taking the country into disastrous ‘endless wars’ in Iraq and Afghanistan — and the since widely acknowledged lies that helped sell the wars. Notably Dick Cheney as well as Vice President Kamala Harris were in attendance at the ceremony.

Instead Bush took the opportunity to highlight ‘domestic extremism’ — in a clear reference to the Capitol Hill events of January 6: “We have seen growing evidence that the dangers to our country can come not only across borders, but from violence that gathers within,” Bush said. “There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home… But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols, they are children of the same foul spirit.”

Twin Anti-Mask Protests Held at Orange, Harnett School Board Meetings

Last minute, the board of education extended the public comment period to one hour and added mask mandates on their agenda.

The organization Re-Open Orange County Schools is planning to protest the district’s mask mandate around 6 p.m. at Gravely Middle School while the school board holds its business meeting.

Washington State High School Cancels 9/11 Tribute for Being ‘Racially Insensitive’

It’s hard to believe that in the wake of the terror attacks on September 11, 2001, millions in our country responded with a wave of patriotism. Flags were up everywhere and we’d successfully shown our enemies that the American spirit won’t be easily crushed.

Twenty years later, though, patriotism is now considered offensive by some, and the red, white, and blue might trigger the snowflakes who hate this country while enjoying all the comforts it provides. At least, that’s what happened in a Washington state high school, where students had planned to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 by wearing red, white, and blue at a patriotic-themed game. The school staff cried foul, claiming it could be “racially insensitive and offend some people.”

White House to Announce More COVID Measures This Week Despite Vaccine Mandate Backlash

Despite the massive backlash against a federal vaccine mandate, the Biden White House is set to announce more COVID measures this week, according to the U.S. Surgeon General.

This prompted a wave of resistance with conservatives and Republicans finally appearing to find a line in the sand that they could unite behind.

Donors Pledge $1.2 Billion in Emergency Funds for Afghans

At the first high-level conference on Afghanistan since the Taliban took power a month ago, Western governments, big traditional donors and others announced pledges that went beyond the $606 million that the United Nations was seeking to cover costs through the end of the year for protecting Afghans from looming humanitarian disaster.

U.N. humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths announced at the close of the ministerial meeting that more than $1.2 billion in humanitarian and development aid had been pledged. He said this included the $606 million sought in a “flash appeal” but also a regional response to the Afghan crisis that U.N. refugee chief Filippo Grandi spoke about after arriving in Kabul on a previously unannounced visit.

He wrote on Twitter that he would assess humanitarian needs and the situation of 3.5 million displaced Afghans, including over 500,000 displaced this year alone.

Officials at the U.N. refugee agency, UNHCR, have expressed concerns that more Afghans could take refuge into neighboring Pakistan and Iran, which both already have large numbers of Afghans who fled their country during the past decades of war…

Nigeria’s Twitter Ban is Expected to Last Until the End of the Year

Four months ago, the Nigerian government banned Twitter after the platform banned President Muhammadu Buhari. The government recently announced the ban would be lifted after reaching an agreement with Twitter. However, the ban is still in effect and it appears the ban will continue for the rest of the year.

The more the ban stays in effect the more millions of Nigerians’ free speech is stifled. According to critics, the authoritarian move is a desperate attempt by the government to distract people from the horde of problems facing the country.

The Foreign Ministers of the Baltic states and Poland met in Riga September 13, using the occasion to express solidarity in the face of hybrid threats posed by Russia and Belarus.

Speaking to journalists in a joint press conference, all four ministers stressed the need for unity within both the European Union and NATO with respect to the massive Zapad 2021 military drills taking place in Russia and Belarus, and the use of third-country migrants by the Lukashenko regime in an effort to force thousands of illegal entries to the European Union.

Describing the current situation as “an interesting point in time,” host Edgars Rinkevics said that so far “Latvia, Lithuania and Poland are handling the situation rather well” and so did not need to ask for extra help from NATO at present.

France’s Former Brexit Negotiator Michel Barnier is Ridiculed Over His Spectacular U-Turn on Immigration and National Sovereignty

With a political and ideological adaptability bordering on moral opportunism, Michel Barnier, the European Union’s former chief Brexit negotiator, has surprised commentators with his newly acquired stance regarding French national sovereignty in the context of European legislation.

During a meeting of the Les Républicains party in Nimes, France, Barnier, who is now running as a potential candidate for the presidential elections on behalf of the French conservative party, stated that, “We cannot do all this without having regained our legal sovereignty, being permanently threatened by a ruling or a condemnation at the level of the European Court of Justice or the European Convention on Human Rights.” He also added that he will demand a referendum that will have two objectives: “that of a parliamentary control on the quotas of immigrants each year and finally that of recovering through a constitutional shield our freedom to maneuver and interpret matters related to immigration.”

German Dinghy Overloaded With Migrants Shows French Boat Ban is a Load of Hot Air

FROM the air, the sheer scale of Dover’s dinghy graveyard is staggering.

Hundreds of discarded vessels that have ferried migrants across the English Channel lie stacked on a patch of industrial ground.

It’s the end point of a lucrative — and deadly — supply chain that today The Sun can reveal stretches 5,000 miles away to the factories of China, via GERMANY.

Last week we told how France has banned the sale of inflatables and kayaks from Channel ports in an attempt to stem the crossings.

But peering through the wire fence at the Dover storehouse, the name stamp on one dinghy revealed the flourishing boat supply line has a German source.

Have Afghan Migrants Successfully Integrated Into Germany? Data Shows Elevated Crime Rates and High Unemployment

After Iran, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates, Germany has the fourth-largest diaspora of Afghans in the world. According to official figures. More than a quarter of a million Afghans live there. The vast majority of them came during the migration crisis six years ago, and now, in connection with another expected exodus after the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan, Germany has evaluated whether it succeeded in integrating the Afghans into society.

“For many scientists and politicians, language skills plus jobs minus crime equals integration. That’s not enough. Do we need a person who successfully establishes a company here, speaks well, does not have a police record when at the same time he forces his six-year-old daughter to wear a headscarf, treats his wife badly, and considers the majority of society as unbelievers?” asks Ahmad Mansour, an Israeli Arab living in Germany who focuses on Islamic extremism as a psychologist.

Lithuania to Fence First 110 Km of Belarus Border by April

ADAZI MILITARY BASE, Latvia (Reuters) — The Lithuanian government said on Monday work would start this month on the first section of fence along the Belarus border aimed at keeping out migrants, a 110 km (70 miles) stretch topped with razor wire that should be finished by April.

More than 4,100 migrants, mostly from the Middle East and Asia, have entered Lithuania this year, prompting a dispute between the European Union and Belarus.

The EU accuses Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of flying in migrants and sending them over the border in retaliation for sanctions imposed on Minsk following a crackdown on the political opposition.

The Lithuanian government said it had handed the job of building the first section of the border fence to state-owned power and gas grid company EPSO-G, at a cost of 36 million euros.

It will have razor wire on top and a height of 4 meters, an EPSO-G spokesman said. Six additional coils of razor wire will be arranged in a pyramid and placed between the border and the fence.

Along the coast at Dover, a further group of migrants were brought into the marina on a Border Force vessel. The crossings come amid reports of cooler and slightly overcast weather today with breezy but clear conditions at sea.

Sweden: People With Immigration Backgrounds Vastly Overrepresented in Crime Data

A newly released government report has revealed that individuals with immigrant backgrounds living in Sweden are vastly overrepresented among criminal suspects.

The highly anticipated report, which is the first of its kind carried out by the Swedish Crime Prevention Council (Brå) in 16 years, discovered, among other things, that foreign-born residents were 2.5 times as likely to be registered as a criminal suspect as those with whose parents were both born in Sweden.

The new report comes after the government agency, for many years, had refused to consider ethnicity in any of its reports, claiming that it would be unethical to do so. However, in 2015, following increased pressure to include this kind of data, Brå finally acquiesced and began to conduct such a study.

French Government: Women Under 25 to Get Free Contraception to Reduce Abortions

Until now, contraception in France has only been free of charge for girls under 18 years of age. However, France’s pro-abortion government under President Emmanuel Macron has concluded that its price has become a problem for many young women. From Jan. 1, 2022, contraception will be free for all women under the age of 25, Minister of Health Olivier Véran announced on France 2 TV station.

He justified this by a decrease in its use among young women, which, in his opinion, “costs too much”. The minister was referring to the “cost” as the amount of abortions that follow unwanted pregnancies. However, the government has unsuccessfully pursued pro-abortion policies in the past, including allowing abortion up until nine months of pregnancy, a move that would have placed France among the most radically pro-abortion countries in the world.

Mel Gibson: Targeting of Pious Catholic Priests by Church Establishment is a “Very Deep Sickness”

Movie director Mel Gibson has spoken out against the targeting of Catholic priests by the church establishment for merely trying to uphold the faith, describing it as a “very deep sickness.”

Gibson said he personally knew many priests who had been “cancelled,” but not for anything that actually deserved condemnation.

“And who’s persecuting them? asked Gibson. “Well, their own bishops. How’s that?”

The movie director went on to describe such individuals as “a pack of men who generally passively sit by and tolerate any kind of nonsense but if one of their priests utters something that resembles orthodoxy, well they spring into action, they reprimand them, and they bully him and do their best to cancel him and they succeed.”
