The Triumph of the Taliban

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from the German site JournalistenWatch:

Triumph of the Taliban: The More Afghan refugees, the more Islamic sleeper terrorists

August 18, 2021

The security-political consequences of the Taliban triumph are for Germany perhaps graver than the refugee crisis in 2015, when the Merkel government, in oath-breaking irresponsibility, out of naïve humanitarianism, flooded the country with millions of people whose intentions and background were, in most cases, not known. Because the change of power in Kabul conjures up exactly the horror scenes that were fought there for 20 years and gives jihadists worldwide a tailwind.

After the terror attacks in New York, the West moved to the Hindu Kush — under the motto “War on Terror”, contradictory in itself because they were crooked and utopian words from the start. Germany, which under the then-Schröder government negligently and hastily declared “unconditional solidarity” with the USA, made its contribution. Then the terror was fought; but in the last few years, in which Berlin negotiators dealt with the Taliban in Doha, even more so now after the foreseeable takeover of power, the important lesson from the RAF [Red Army Faction] “You don’t negotiate with terrorists” has become obsolete. That yesterday the political leader of the Taliban, Mullah Baradar, was flown to Afghanistan from exactly where Merkel’s diplomats chatted diplomatically in air-conditioned luxury offices with the barbarians and where Germany will play in the World Cup next year, could not be more symbolic than the breaches of German morals and consistency.

Actually, the Taliban are now being made socially acceptable: The pseudo-pragmatism of a pathetic and spineless appeasement, which the despondent cowards of the West advise as conflict and confrontation readiness, will mean that the West will serve them just as it did with the Iranian mullahs. And even when Germany “suspends” its development aid payments (which flowed unchecked until last month, especially into the private box of the fleeing ex-president, Ashraf Ghani, who absconded with $164 million), one can assume that it will soon bubble up again. The Taliban have made a clever contribution to PR here, the generous promise to protect “women’s rights” (in conformance with sharia, you understand), and suddenly under the eyes of the public render themselves harmless. With the softened political amateurs, something like that resonates.

“Dialogue readiness” with the Taliban as with the Mullahs

This is entirely in the interest of the Holy Warriors, who, due to their own inability, are now using it as an argument to remain “dialogue ready”. Because the de facto hostages, among whom, are still hundreds of German and Afghan ex-Bundeswehr [German army] local forces, as well as diplomats and co-workers of aid organizations stuck in Afghanistan, and in addition, the Taliban also got a huge weapon arsenal free of charge, and have an ideal negotiating position.

In addition: In the future Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the Stone Age warriors also have learned since 2001: They don’t need open confrontation anymore, rather, thanks to the suicidal naïveté of the West, they have long since placed their fifth column in the Western kuffar states, more effective than any military success or any secret intelligence infiltration would have allowed. Over half a million Afghans live in Germany alone, a large number of whom have been “Merkel guests” for the last five or six years. Nobody knows how many of them are submarines connected to the Taliban or other extremist Islamist groups.

It is characteristic of these sleepers to remain inconspicuous for years, and then be activated when necessary. And now, with the recent fall of the country, nobody can say how many of the Afghans reaching Germany are terrorist time bombs. This is not about prejudice or general suspicion, rather about a fully objective and sober consideration of the facts, which touches on our direct security interests. The day before yesterday, Interior Minister Seehofer counted about five million possible refugees, but even if it is only a tenth of that, this is sufficient to be the final straw for Germany, not only for integration and migration policy, but for becoming an Islamic high-risk area with 365-day critical terror incident alert status.

A man from North Carolina parked his pickup on the sidewalk near the Capitol and told police that he had a bomb in the truck. Buildings in the immediate area of the truck were either evacuated or locked down. The man later surrendered to police without incident. No explosives were found in his truck.

In other news, planes sent to rescue people are departing from Kabul with numbers of passengers under their capacity, and in some cases nearly empty, because people who want to escape are unable to make it through the Taliban checkpoints to the airport.

Fire Jihad on the Hungarian Border

A new surge of migrants is attempting to break through the border between Serbia and Hungary, and has ratcheted up aggression towards the border guards. Mimicking their fellow culture-enrichers in Greece, they have begun to set fires in the very dry underbrush, perhaps hoping to start major conflagrations like the ones in Greece.

In the following video László Toroczkai, the leader of Mi Hazánk (Our Homeland Movement), describes the latest attacks by migrants at the border. Our Hungarian correspondent László, who translated the clip for subtitles, includes this summary of the video, which is entitled “The Migrants Set the Forest on Fire Around Us”:

“We have not experienced such conditions on the Hungarian-Serbian border for five years as we have seen in recent days and weeks. There is an invasion going on again, and they are attacking the border more and more violently, now in groups, armed with stones, besieging the border.” So László Toroczkai, the president of Mi Hazánk party, describes the situation under his YouTube video. He is also the mayor of the village of Ásotthalom located on the southern border of Hungary.

A group of migrants threw stones at the border patrol recently, injuring some of them, but the attack was repelled by tear gas. Migrants also set a large area on fire on the Serbian side of the fence, as you can see it in the video, potentially endangering Hungarian people and properties as well.

In the wake of the violent attacks, Mi Hazánk party demands that the Hungarian border police and the soldiers be allowed, or even ordered, to use their firearms in cases when they are targeted in weaponized attacks.

He adds:

As these attackers at the border fence are mostly Muslims, and Jihad means ‘struggle’, I call it Fire Jihad. Also, in many cases the attacking migrants have been filmed yelling the battle cry “Allahu Akhbar” as they were throwing stones at the border guard — which is violent Jihad by definition.

The Submissive Metamorphosis

First we cover up your hair. Then we hide your shoulders, your neck, and your cleavage. Then we put the long veil over you. There! Don’t you look beautiful?

Now you’re ready to be presented to your future husband, who is also your first cousin. After that you will bear him eight or ten wee Islamic bairns, as will his three other wives.

And don’t forget: you may no longer venture outside your home unless you are accompanied by a male relative.

The Yankee Kush

Like most Americans, I started paying close attention to Afghanistan in the weeks and months after September 11, 2001.

I had been well aware of the country before that, beginning with the Soviet invasion in late 1979. I remember reading the reports in the World News section of The Washington Post about the arming and training of the Afghan mujahideen by the CIA in their efforts to thwart the Russians. Some of the greybeards in the Taliban and al-Qaeda got their explosives training from American intelligence operatives thirty-five or forty years ago.

I was also aware of Osama bin Laden before 9/11. I read about him in reports about the Khobar Towers bombing in June of 1996, the bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in August of 1998, and the bombing of the USS Cole in October of 2000. I knew that he was reputed to be holed up in Afghanistan, and our military leaders were itching to go in there and take him out.

After the Twin Towers fell I started reading intensively about what I now call the Great Jihad. I had read Among the Believers by V.S. Naipaul back in 1981, when it first came out, so I was aware of the inevitability of the clash between Islam and the West. After 9-11 I read additional works on Islam, beginning with The Sword of the Prophet by Srdja Trifković (whom I had the good fortune to meet and work with years later). When Jihad Watch started up, it became an invaluable resource for understanding Islam.

Before Dymphna and I founded Gates of Vienna, I hung around on various right-of-center blogs and forums. In the first few months after 9-11 it seemed that everyone was on the same page. It’s hard to credit now, but back then Andrew Sullivan, Jonah Goldberg, Roger Simon, Mark Steyn, and Glenn Reynolds were all more or less in agreement.

By 2004 or 2005 that had changed. The party-line Republicans heeded the words of George W. Bush and observed the distinction between “Islam” and “Islamism”. Pakistan was our “staunch ally”. The despots of Qatar and Saudi Arabia were our “friends”. Condoleezza Rice referred to Islam as the “religion of peace and love”, as if this were San Francisco in 1967. I think that was when I permanently disassociated myself from the Republican Party. When my liberal acquaintances referred to me as a Republican, I would say indignantly: “I’m not a Republican — I hate Republicans! The only thing worse than a Republican is a Democrat.”

I diverged from the mainstream and became a right-wing extremist, and more specifically an Islamophobe. That put me beyond the pale, and eventually got this blog kicked out of Pajamas Media.

Watching the situation in Afghanistan evolve over the next twenty years made me into the cynic I am today. Remember Mullah Omar? Osama bin Laden was Public Enemy Number One, and Mullah Omar was Public Enemy Number Two. Despite having the greatest military in history and absolute control over Afghanistan, the United States could not go in, pull him out of his hole, and “bring him to justice”. It was obvious that high-level corruption was at work, that we had cut a deal with one or more tribal mobs allowing the Mullah to remain unscathed.

And then there was the tradition of bacha bazi, the nancy boys of Islam. The time-honored Afghan custom of sodomizing pre-pubescent boys was allowed to continue unchecked, and our soldiers were ordered to turn a blind eye to it, even when it occurred on American military bases.

And then there was the opium. Not only did poppy production remain unimpeded, it even increased. The CIA took effective control of the opium trade, making sure that the lucrative racket stayed in the hands of its favored allies in organized crime.

And then there was Pakistan, which had always been the Taliban’s best friend. Osama bin Laden was allowed to escape from Tora Bora — more corruption at work — and hole up in Pakistan for another ten years. The Pakistani intelligence services knew exactly where he was, and there he was allowed to remain until he outlived his usefulness and our staunch ally gave him up.

Afghan Women Will Gain Their Full Rights Under Islam

Multiple news outlets reported heartening news today from Afghanistan, most of them using identical headlines: “Taliban vow to respect women’s rights”. After seeing the same words in eight or ten different places, I searched to find the details of the Taliban’s promise. I had my suspicions about what they really meant, and it turns out I was right [italics added]:

Taliban Vow to Honor Women’s Rights But Within Islamic Law

Kabul, Afghanistan — A Taliban spokesman promised Tuesday that the insurgents who overran Afghanistan in recent days would respect women’s rights and would not exact revenge, seeking to calm a wary population and skeptical world powers.

In his first news conference, Zabihullah Mujahid, who had been a shadowy figure for years, doubled down on the Taliban’s efforts to convince the world that it has changed from the group that imposed a brutal rule on the country in the 1990s.

Mujahid promised the Taliban would honor women’s rights, but within the norms of Islamic law. He said the group wanted private media to “remain independent,” but stressed journalists “should not work against national values.” And he promised the insurgents would secure Afghanistan — but seek no revenge against those who worked with the former government or with foreign governments or forces.

“We assure you that nobody will go to their doors to ask why they helped,” he said.

Following a blitz across Afghanistan that saw many cities fall to the insurgents without a fight, the Taliban have sought to portray themselves as more moderate than when they last ruled. Earlier, Enamullah Samangani, a member of the Taliban’s cultural commission, promised amnesty and encouraged women to join the government.

[…]

Samangani addressed the concerns of women, saying they were “the main victims of the more than 40 years of crisis in Afghanistan.”

Afghanistan’s female footballers make tearful calls for help “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is ready to provide women with environment to work and study, and the presence of women in different (government) structures according to Islamic law and in accordance with our cultural values,” he said.

So what does Islamic law say about women? Well, for starters, their testimony in a court of law is worth half that of a man’s. And if they are raped, there must be four male witnesses to the crime, otherwise they will be charged with adultery. If they leave their homes, they must be accompanied by a male relative at all times. They must also cover themselves from head to toe. (The burka is popular in Afghanistan, although the niqab — which allows the eyes to be visible — is also permitted, if I am not mistaken.)

You get the general idea. That’s what “women’s rights” means under the Taliban.

The Disaster in Afghanistan

by Fjordman

The Western pullout from Kabul during the Taliban advance on August 16, 2021 was a chaotic and embarrassing mess. This was a global humiliation for the USA and the Western defense alliance NATO.

The Western-backed former Afghan leader, Ashraf Ghani, reportedly departed his country with so much money that it couldn’t all fit in his helicopter. He was thus forced to leave some cash at the airport.

The total costs of the war in Afghanistan between 2001 and 2021 are disputed. However, sums of up to one trillion — one thousand billion — US dollars have been mentioned as reasonably realistic estimates. What did that money achieve? Absolutely nothing. In fact, worse than nothing. The Taliban in August 2021 controlled more territory in Afghanistan than they did in August 2001. And they had better weapons, too.

The Americans and their Western allies spent tens of billions on building up Afghan security forces, including the Afghan National Army and the police force. When the USA and its allies pulled out in 2021, the Afghan army collapsed with astonishing speed. Even the Taliban seem to have been surprised by how quickly any resistance evaporated.

This means that the modern military equipment that was intended to combat the Taliban is now in the hands of the Taliban. Twenty years of fighting, costing perhaps 1,000 billion dollars and the lives of over 3,500 Western soldiers, has simply handed the country back to the Taliban, with some weaponry added as a bonus.

The fact that many Muslims in Afghanistan put up little resistance against the Taliban probably indicates that they like them and share their Islamic sharia ideals. In any case, they deserve the Taliban when they are not willing to resist them. This result could encourage more Jihadist aggression, in Afghanistan and beyond.

When the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in 1979, the country became a battleground in the Cold War. The USA and other nations supported various armed Muslim rebel groups in their fight against Soviet forces. After the Soviet Union withdrew in 1989, these Jihadist groups claimed victory.

The Afghan mujahideen included the embryo of what would become the Taliban, as well as foreign militant Muslims such as Osama bin Laden and the terrorist network al-Qaida. Islamic groups such as the Taliban can thus claim that the mighty forces of Allah in Afghanistan defeated two superpowers in just over three decades. This is not an entirely empty boast.

The disaster in Afghanistan was caused by the stubborn inability of Western elites to understand Islamic culture and tribal societies. They believe that other people think like us, and want to become like us. This is both extremely naïve and extremely arrogant at the same time.

The Globalist Grooming Gang

Dr. Reiner Fuellmich is a German lawyer and politician who leads a regular podcast called Corona Ausschuss (“Corona Committee”). The following video is the first of three excerpts from a recent podcast by the group.

In this segment of the video Dr. Fuellmich interviews Ernst Wolff, a journalist and author who specializes in the economics of globalism. Mr. Wolff has researched the labyrinthine connections among various globalist groups, paying special attention to Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum. In this clip he talks about the leadership training groups associated with the WEF that groom promising candidates for positions in global governance. In a striking coincidence, the Western leaders who play the most prominent roles in the authoritarian responses to the Wuhan Coronavirus have all passed through these WEF leadership training sessions.

Desperate Afghan citizens mobbed U.S. military aircraft at Kabul Airport in hopes of boarding flights to get out of Afghanistan. Seven people were killed, and some of the deaths were attributed to people falling from a C-17 transport plane after they had clung to its landing gear before takeoff. In an address to the nation, President Biden blamed the disaster in Afghanistan on his predecessor and the failure of the Afghan army.

A Lawyer and a Doctor Discuss the Vax

Below are two German-language videos discussing various aspects of the experimental mRNA medical treatment that is being tested on millions of people in an effort to stem the Wuhan Coronavirus. Many thanks to MissPiggy for the translations, and to Vlad Tepes and RAIR Foundation for the subtitling.

Michael Brunner is an Austrian lawyer based in Vienna. In the first video Mr. Brunner talks about various factors about the vax — its experimental nature, the fact that it is not a vaccine under the standard clinical definition, and the uselessness of the PCR test — that preclude it from being made mandatory:

In the second video, an unidentified German doctor — who says that he himself has been “vaccinated” against the WuFlu — reports that he has never seen anything like the level of adverse effects of the mRNA vax experienced by his patients:

Vacation in Afghanistan, Anyone?

A Swedish family went on a vacation trip to Afghanistan just before the fall of Kabul, and now they are stuck there.

The following article reports on an interview given by the wife to a Swedish newspaper, in which she describes her family’s anxiety and desperation at being trapped in their living quarters. Based on her last name, her husband is most likely North African or Middle Eastern, while her Christian name suggests she may be a native Swede who married a culture-enricher.

My advice to the family would be to put on their pussy hats when they venture outside to forage for food. That should protect them from all harm.

Many thanks to Gary Fouse for translating this article from Nyheter Idag:

Family went to Afghanistan for vacation — stuck in Kabul: “We feel completely abandoned”

Kabul: Swedish personnel are now being evacuated from Afghanistan due to the Taliban’s conquest of the country. But there are still Swedish private persons remaining in the country, such as Robina Ansary. She finds herself on vacation in Afghanistan together with her husband and her three children, and now they can’t get home, Aftonbladet reports.

“We don’t know if the airport will be open or how it will be now that the Taliban have taken over. Even the prime minister has left the country. So we feel completely abandoned,” says Robina Ansary to Aftonbladet.

The family had planned the trip for several months and was to return home August 26. Now they are stuck in Kabul where the Taliban have taken over and they don’t dare go out to get food, Robina tells Aftonbladet.

“The Taliban go around on the streets and you hear gunfire. We women cannot go out from home. My husband has been out and has seen the Taliban. But he doesn’t dare go out now,” she says to Aftonbladet.

Robina has contacted Swedish authorities to get help without result.

“The embassy says in an email that they have warned people not to come to Afghanistan since 2006, and as of August 5, they would be leaving here. Unfortunately, we have not been able to do that. We didn’t think that the situation would become as serious as it has now become,” she says to Aftonbladet.

Acquiescing to Fascism

A YouTube commenter who goes by the name “ExposedTyranny” made this remark earlier today:

Fascists do not impose fascism; there’s not enough of them. Fascism is imposed by the population acquiescing to fascism, and if that stops, it’s over.

The comment was prompted by the following video of a statement by Dan Andrews, the Premier of the Australian state of Victoria, in which he announced a new rule that forbids pub patrons from removing their masks to drink their beer — when they’re outdoors:

Mr. Andrews also announced that most ordinary outdoor activities are now also forbidden (see this Sky News report for details). And, as I understand it, all this in being done into response to a negligible incidence of cases of the Wuhan Coronavirus. I don’t know how many iterations of the PCR test they use in Australia, but their number of “cases” is minuscule.

When discussed in these terms, the issue is Mr. Andrews’ judgment, or that of the health officials who advise him. That is, if the number of cases were greater, or his diktats less draconian, it might be possible to accept his rules as reasonable.

That’s not the real issue, however. The real issue is that the elected premier of an Australian state has arrogated unto himself the authority to make these decisions. And he is only able to do so because the vast majority of the population has acquiesced to his dictatorship.

Victoria has a population of roughly 6.4 million people. What would happen to Mr. Andrews’ Corona regime if, say, 20% of those people — more than a million of them — simply refused to comply? What if they went about their business normally, engaging in their routine activities, without masking or distancing or any of the other absurd fetishes of the Coronamadness?

And what if a mere 5% of the population — half a million people — were to march angrily to Parliament House in Melbourne and bellow their dissatisfaction outside the windows of their elected representatives? Or what if the same crowd were to gather outside the entrance to the premier’s private residence and shake their fists at him while rattling the wrought-iron gate?

Under those circumstances Mr. Andrews might well decide that the threat of the Chinese virus had receded, and suspend all his totalitarian rules.

But that’s not going to happen. Two years ago I would have thought it impossible that such a doughty breed could ever submit meekly to dictatorship, but that’s what seems to be happening in Australia.

Here in rural Central Virginia there was considerable passive disobedience to the ukases of Governor Ralph “Coonman” Northam during his declared state of emergency. A lot of people — probably not a majority, but a lot — simply ignored the rules and carried on as usual. For whatever reason, they weren’t afraid of the dreaded WuFlu, and they did not accept that the governor had the authority to manage the fine details of their private lives.

I don’t know what would have happened if the State Police and the sheriffs’ departments had actually tried to enforce Coonman’s edicts and arrest disobedient citizens. Maybe the vast majority would have acquiesced meekly, and we would have been in the same boat as the Australians. It will be interesting to see what happens this fall when Lockdown Two arrives.
