Apple Throws Developers the Tiniest Bone in Order to Stave Off Antitrust Accusations

Apple is trying to make gestures, seen by many as a token, in an apparent attempt to gain some good will and right some of the wrongs that have been plaguing the way developers are treated by the extremely (for Apple) lucrative iOS and MacOS App Store.

Now, those who choose to publish their app in this digital marketplace and earn a living there, might get allowed to send emails to their customers informing them about alternative payment methods that don’t go through Apple’s system.

Congressman Thomas Massie Criticizes Twitter Censorship After Tweet is Suppressed

Twitter’s obsession with censoring COVID topics that either fall outside its strict boundaries of what is allowed to be discussed about the most prominent topic of our time — or only appear to fall outside it — continues unabated.

To reach this Orwellian goal of forging a sense of reality in the image of its own politics, Twitter has gone for various methods: suspensions, bans, shadowbans, and (misleading) labels.

Critical Race Theory Permeates North Carolina Schools, Task Force Says

Critical race theory is more widespread across North Carolina schools than leaders had initially expected, according to a task force report.

The Fairness and Accountability in the Classroom for Teachers and Students task force, formed by Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson in March, found 506 examples of political bias and teachings associated with critical race theory in schools. These examples were submitted by teachers, students, and parents who said they witnessed bias in their local school systems through an online portal that opened in March and appears to remain operational.

DOCARE, HPD Break Up Massive Party at Kaiwi Shoreline

Billed on social media as a way for young people to escape the bonds of COVID-19 restrictions, four people were cited and as many as 300-400 others were cleared from Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline (a DLNR Division of State Parks unit), by officers from the DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE) and Honolulu Police Department officers late Saturday afternoon.

Officers broke up the illegal large gathering and watched as a stream of mask-less, non-socially distanced revelers left the shoreline, after being ordered to do so. The individuals cited got tickets for having unpermitted generators and sound equipment in the park.

Google Demonetizes the Gateway Pundit

The Gateway Pundit, a media outlet ranking among 200 top sites in the US that claims it has been under constant attack by Big Tech in their bid to silence conservative voices through censorship and various forms of deplatforming and downranking, says its content has been “virtually purged” from Google’s search results.

And now, to rub salt into that wound, the site has also been demonetized from Google Ads. The Gateway Pundit maintains that although its slant is conservative, it has “an outstanding record of accurately reporting the top news stories of the day.”

New York Burger Joint Says Business Tanked 25% After Vaccine Passport Mandate

A restaurant called Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shake is owned by Art and Nick Depole in Times Square. The owners of the business said that they lost up to 25% of their sales after NYC implemented its vaccine mandate.

Insider was told by the co-owner, Art Depole of Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shake that the establishment was not getting business from customers because of the mandate. The restaurant industry, according to him, was unfairly targeted because it was “the easy target.”

Last week, a new rule was implemented in New York City requiring those eating at restaurants to show a vaccine passport.

Protesters Gather at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s to Voice Concern Over Vaccine Mandate

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) — Hundreds of employees in the UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s healthcare system, and patients, lined up on the corners of First Avenue and 10th Street to protest a vaccine mandate the health system put in place for its workers.

“It was emotional to know that we were expendable,” Diane Pansegrau, a former employee, said.

Pansegrau said she voluntarily quit in May 2021 out of fear of a vaccine mandate. The company said it would require all 33,000 employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine by November 1. While she had her reservations about the vaccine, she said taking away people’s choices were a bigger issue.

Ramona School Board Bans the Teaching of Race Theories

The Ramona Unified School District is creating several restrictions on what is taught in the classroom in order to curb certain ideas about race and racism.

The policies are two of many that are being pursued nationwide by school boards, state legislatures and others to prohibit ideas that conservatives associate with critical race theory — even though some experts argue that those kinds of ideas aren’t being taught in schools and aren’t necessarily part of critical race theory.

The policies were approved earlier this month by the board of the 5,000-student Ramona Unified district, in an area where residents mostly voted for Donald Trump.

Vaccine Passport Program Coming to Honolulu

Despite Oahu’s rising COVID-19 case count, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi says it’s not enough for him to push for a citywide shutdown.

But he is calling for a big change to some businesses. The Mayor says he’s not ready to impose a full-on vaccine passport program for people to enter businesses — pointing to the negative economic impact he’s seeing in other cities such as New York, San Francisco and New Orleans.

Instead, he’s working with the business community on a phased-in approach.

“We are going to implement a vaccine passport for restaurants and bars and gyms, and a whole lot of other places requiring both patrons and employees,” he said.

Virginia Public Schools to Focus on Muslims — as Victims — in Teaching About 9/11 on Attacks’ 20th Anniversary

My latest in PJ Media:

On Thursday, the Virginia Department of Education published a video entitled, “Culturally Responsive and Inclusive 9/11 Commemoration,” detailing how Virginia public school teachers should handle the upcoming twentieth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 jihad terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans. The emphasis on that day and thereafter must not be on the ideology of the attackers or the ongoing jihad terror threat; rather, the focus is entirely on acknowledging and eradicating what the video calls “anti-Muslim racism.”

Woke Mob Puts Out Hit on Notre Dame’s Leprechaun

In our present age of absurdity, this was likely inevitable: Quality Logo Products, a company that sells sports gear, has conducted a survey that has led it to denounce Notre Dame’s beloved Fighting Irish leprechaun as the fourth most offensive college football mascot in the entire country. The top three were all Indian mascots: Florida State’s Osceola and Renegade, San Diego State’s Aztec Warrior, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Vili the Warrior. So as silly and contrary to fact as it is, the idea that sports teams take nicknames in order to demean and belittle is still taken for granted among the Leftist intelligentsia.

Despite being as woke a university as any other today, Notre Dame didn’t immediately back down and deep-six its pugnacious Irishman. “It is worth noting,” the university said in a statement, “that there is no comparison between Notre Dame’s nickname and mascot and the Indian and warrior names (and) mascots used by other institutions such as the NFL team formerly known as the Redskins. None of these institutions were founded or named by Native Americans who sought to highlight their heritage by using names and symbols associated with their people.”

In contrast, according to the Indianapolis Star, the Notre Dame mascot was adopted by an Irishman: “The Fighting Irish nickname was made official in 1927 when university president Father Matthew Walsh, of Irish descent, adopted the name.” The university stated: “Our symbols stand as celebratory representations of a genuine Irish heritage at Notre Dame, a heritage that we regard with respect, loyalty and affection.”

Islamic State Supporter Pleads Guilty to Killing Toronto Woman With Hammer

Early in the case, a Global News article pointed out a truth that is rarely stated in the mainstream media:

The so-called Islamic State has since 2014 been urging followers to conduct attacks using readily-available weapons such as knives and vehicles.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service’s latest annual report said extremists inspired by ISIS and Al Qaeda were “the number one national security threat to public safety in this country. Investigating these threats remains a top priority for CSIS.”

As it turns out….

Akhtar told police he was “supportive of this idea of Islamic State” and had heard about other ISIS supporters conducting attacks in the West.

“So I’m like, hey, maybe I can do that,” he said.

New Exoplanet Class Called ‘Hycean Worlds’ Yield Great Promise for Habitability

Exoplanet hunters have discovered a new class of these planets, called “Hycean Worlds,” which they believe could hold the highest potential for being habitable.

According to a report by EarthSky.org, this new exoplanet type features worlds covered with planet-wide oceans and hydrogen-rich atmospheres. They’re water worlds with barely any landmass in them but have the same type of atmosphere as Earth’s.

A team of researchers from the University of Cambridge made this announcement after publishing their findings in the Astrophysical Journal. In their study, the researchers claimed that Hycean worlds (“Hycean” being a portmanteau of hydrogen and ocean) is in some ways similar to Earth, but are often bigger with much thicker atmospheres.

Caroline Glick: The Roots of America’s Defeat

Even before the suicide bombings outside the Kabul airport on Thursday evening, the U.S. media was acting with rare unanimity. For the first time in memory, U.S. media organs across the ideological and political spectrum have been united in the view that President Joe Biden fomented a strategic disaster for the U.S. and its allies with his incompetent leadership of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Some compare it to the 1961 Bay of Pigs; others to Saigon in 1975; others to the U.S. embassy in Tehran in 1979. Whatever the analogy, the bottom line is the same: Biden’s surrender to the Taliban has already entered the pantheon of American post-war defeats.

Biden is personally responsible for the humanitarian and strategic disaster unfolding before our eyes. He is the only American leader in history who has willfully abandoned Americans and American allies to their fate behind enemy lines. But while Biden is solely responsible for the decision to leave Afghanistan in the manner it is, it isn’t Biden’s fault that after twenty years of war, the Taliban was still around, stronger than it was on September 11, 2001, and fully capable of seizing control of the country. The foundations of that failure were laid in the days, weeks and months that followed the September 11 attacks.

In the aftermath of September 11, then president George W. Bush and his national security team put together the guiding assumptions for what came to be known as the global war on terror. In the years since then, some of the assumptions were updated, adapted or replaced as conditions on the ground evolved. But three of the assumptions that stood at the foundation of America’s military, intelligence and diplomatic planning and operations since then were not revisited, save for the final two years of the Trump administration. All three contributed significantly to America’s defeat in Afghanistan and its failure to win the war against global terror as a whole. The first assumption related to Pakistan, the second to Iran, and the third to Israel…

India: Five Thousand Madrassas in Uttar Pradesh Will be Closed, Saving 100 Crore Govt Expenditure

Upendra Bharti | HENB | New Delhi | Aug 29, 2021:: In CM Yogi Adityanath’s Uttar Pradesh, 5 thousand madrasas (Islamic seminaries/schools) have been closed in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. As per reports+, these madrassas were running against the standards, so the Minority Commission closed them. UP Minorities Commission member Suresh Jain has given this information in a press conference yesterday in Meerut. He informed that five thousand madrasas have been closed in UP. These madrasas were running against the standards, so these have been closed by the commission. From other sources it is derived that these madrasas failed on basic norms like building, infrastructure, teachers, standardized syllabus, mid day meal, health and hygiene etc.

Suresh Jain Rituraj informed that even after uploading the total accounts of the recognized madrasas of Uttar Pradesh in the respective portal, five thousand madrasas were found to be running against the standards, due to which they were closed immediately. The closure of these madrasas has also resulted in an annual saving of Rs 100 crore. Rituraj said that a new portal of Madrasa Education Board has been set up. It is mandatory for all madrasas to upload details in this portal.

But, the UP Minority Commission Borad member Suresh Jain Rituraj failed to clarify how such a huge numbers madrasas could have been existed in only in Meerut region or the 5000 madrassas are included various parts of Uttar Pradesh. Meerut is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city lies 70 km northeast of the national capital New Delhi, and 453 km northwest of the state capital Lucknow. The Meerut district includes 662 villages, 17 urban bodies, 30 Police Stations and the Meerut city itself which is unable to bear 5000 madrasas in reality and maximum of those are must be non existent.

Rituraj said that the syllabus of madrasas has also been revised. The board found that forgery and fraud have been committed in many places. Legal action has also been taken against 10 people in Meerut in this regard. He said that keeping in view the minorities, the government is running many welfare programs. Apart from madrasas, efforts are also being made to benefit the Jain and Sikh communities and many other classes of religious educational institutions. Many Gurukuls of Jain society are established, so they should also get this facility.

Suresh Jain Rituraj also informed that 7266 beneficiaries of last year 2020-21 were given grants in daughter marriage among the minority communities. Meanwhile, a proposal of ? 500 per month pension for women suffering from three divorces is in process. Suresh Jain Rituraj was holding a press conference to review the minority welfare schemes.

Earlier, UP govt stopped grants to 46 madrasas for violating ‘teaching standards’ in 2017. In the poll bound Uttar Pradesh, such action against Madrasas gave a space of the opposition who can’t tolerate the ‘Hindutva Poster Boy of Uttar Pradesh’, Yogi Adityanath and his ‘No Minority Appeasement Policy’.

As a matter of fact, breeding of Jihadi (read Talibani) education inside the Madrasas is a security threat against India. Mosque -Madrasa combination is always posed as anti- ‘Hindu Dominance’ in India.

A new national poll indicates that most Americans want U.S. troops to remain at the airport in Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul until all Americans, as well as Afghans who aided the U.S. during the 20 year conflict in the war torn central Asian country, are evacuated.

More than 8 in 10 (84%) Americans say that U.S. troops should remain in the country until all Americans are evacuated, according to a ABC News/Ipsos poll released on Sunday. And 71% of those questioned said that the troops should stay until all Afghans who helped the U.S. are evacuated as well.

US Carries Out Kabul Airstrike Against ISIS-K Suicide Bomber That Threatened Airport, US Official Confirms

The U.S. military conducted an airstrike against a vehicle carrying at least one suicide bomber who intended to target Kabul’s international airport Sunday, a U.S. official confirmed.

The strike in a crowded neighborhood northwest of the airport set off “significant secondary explosions,” which indicated a “substantial amount of explosive material” inside the vehicle, Capt. Bill Urban, spokesman for U.S. Central Command, said in a statement. While the target was initially described as a vehicle-born improvised explosive device (IED), an official clarified that the explosives may have been worn by one or more bombers inside, rather than planted on the vehicle itself.

France: Afghan Migrants Suspected of Taliban Ties, Government Accused of Helping Taliban Establish a ‘Fifth Column’

Jihad Watch has warned about a Fifth Column since the height of the Muslim migrant influx in 2015. Any thinking individual should expect that jihadis — who are dedicated to territorial conquest — would seek to exploit the open doors of Western countries.

Since the catastrophic Taliban takeover, and the understandably desperate attempts to escape Afghanistan, more widespread concerns have publicly emerged about jihadist infiltration of refugee streams. In Belgium, an internal email warns police that jihadis could arrive among Afghan refugees.

Taking a lesson from the Islamic State, they did manage to infiltrate. They then proceeded to recruit new members. Jihadist infiltration, recruitment and expansion are exponentially proliferating, as is the stealth jihad.

  3. Yobidoyobi sushi bar chain surrendered to pressure from nationalists and apologized for advertising with a black man
    https://img.gazeta.ru/files3/688/13927688/eb-pic4_zoom-1500×1500-95393.jpg

In mid-August, a chain of sushi bars published an ad featuring a black man eating rolls surrounded by girls of Slavic appearance. The nationalists from the informal organization “Men’s State” did not like this, they began to fill up the network with spam, and threatened its founder with murder. As a result, the photos that caused the conflict were removed, and Yobidoyobi apologized to the clients.
The seemingly innocent advertisement led to a conflict between a network of sushi-bar delivery companies and a right-wing nationalist informal organization. On August 14, the federal service Yobidoyobi (translated from Japanese as “Day of the week – Saturday”), which is present in 65 cities of the country, published an advertising photo on its social networks in which a black man eats rolls with three fair-skinned girls. A few days later, a new post appeared, where the same man eats rolls alone.

On August 24, commentators came to the VKontakte group of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the network, who, under a post dated August 14, began accusing the Yobidoyobi leadership of promoting multiculturalism. Before that, a post appeared on the Telegram channel of the founder of the “Men’s State” movement, Vladislav Pozdnyakov, in which he urged his subscribers to make “left orders” in order to complicate the delivery.
Pozdnyakov gave a screenshot of the correspondence with the administration of the sushi bar, in which he threatened her with an audience of 80 thousand people, “who will gladly remove any desire to push blacks.”

The co-founder of Yobidoyobi, Konstantin Zimen, said that someone had leaked his personal phone number on Pozdnyakov’s channel. And now he receives hundreds of threats, and the phone number itself is registered on dozens of different services. “This is all very strange, considering that we did not even try to ‘promote the agenda’, but simply made very standard visuals for social networks,” Zimen wrote, wondering why in 2021 a black person causes a negative in someone.
