Orban: Booming Hungarian Economy Means Bigger Pension Bonus This Year

The “booming economy” will allow the central budget to pay out pension premiums this year, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in an interview on state channel Kossuth Radió. on Sunday

The prime minister said that the economy is “racing”, which will make it possible to pay a pension premium, the amount of which depends on the rate of economic growth. Orban currently sees a one-time payment of 50,000 to 56,000 forints (up to €160) as probable, but added that “the amount may be much higher”.

According to the calculations of daily Magyar Hirlap, if economic growth exceeds 7 percent this year, the supplementary pension can be as high as 76,000 to 80,000 forints. By law, Hungary indexes pension to the amount of the inflation each January, but the conservative government in power since 2010 has also granted pension premiums in the years when the economy outperformed expectations.

Health Care Workers Hit the Streets to Protest Vaccine Mandate

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) —Some health care workers are protesting vaccine mandates at local hospitals and health care facilities. Protesters in scrubs held up signs on the sidewalk and shared their opposition to vaccine mandates. The health care workers and their supporters state Mesa Manor as well as Hilltop will be firing employees if they do not get the vaccine by November 1st. They feel no one should be fired for doing something they don’t believe in.

Protesters also say the mandate will make staffing shortages in the health care industry, particularly in hospitals, even worse. Officials say an increase in hospitalizations not just from a surge in COVID-19 cases but also delayed care or postponed surgeries is stressing out hospital systems in an already short staffed field.

Lavrov Calls for Emancipation of Hungarian Foreign Policy From EU Bloc-Style Thinking

In an interview for the Hungarian conservative daily Magyar Nemzet, the Russian foreign secretary, Sergey Lavrov, laid bare his thoughts about recent sanctions that European Union countries have introduced against his country. He also spoke out about the mistakes of EU foreign policy with regard to the oppressive Ukrainian laws restricting the use of minority languages.

When reflecting on recent sanctions against Russia that Hungary voted for, the foreign minister acknowledged that Hungary has its particular obligations towards the EU and NATO which it is part of, even in cases when such a joint declaration “goes against the Hungarian national interest”, as he put it. Yet he made it clear that in his view, there is no place for forced expressions of “bloc-solidarity”. Furthermore, political sanctions are a useless tool and are entirely ineffective when it comes to Russia, added Lavrov.

Italo-Moroccan Student Freed Says Foreign Ministry

Ikram Nzihi in Marrakesh jail over Koran comment since June

(ANSA) — ROME, AUG 23 — A 23-year-old Italo-Moroccan woman who had been in jail in Marrakesh for offending Islam since June has been freed, the foreign ministry said Monday.

Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio thanked Italian diplomacy and European Affairs Undersecretary Enzo Amendola for their work on the case of Ikram Nazih, jailed for three years for sharing a Facebook post on the Koran at the end of June.

Amendola said the student was set to be released on the margins of a hearing earlier Monday.

He said that Nzihi would soon be released from prison, also thanks to an excellent institutional collaboration with the local authorities.

“Our co-national is well, and I send her and her family my best wishes,” said Amendola.

He said he had been working on the case with Italian Ambassador to Rabat Armando Barucco and the consulate in Morocco, in concert with Foreign Minister Di Maio and the foreign ministry in Rome.

He said he had started following the case personally earlier this month, speaking with interested parties and going to see Nzihi in prison.

Amendola added: “Solid relations between Italy and Morocco continue, the fruit of a strategic partnership”.

Nzihi was jailed for three years in Marrakesh for offending Islam at the end of June.

The young woman was arrested at the airport in the Moroccan city on June 20 after flying from Marseilles, where she is doing law at university, to join her family who live in Morocco.

The student, who was born in Vimercate near Milan in 1998 and who grew up in the province of Monza, was convicted over a 2019 Facebook post that called a Koran verse obliging Muslims to sacrifice “the whiskey verse”.

She was found guilty of publicly offending Islam.

Amendola was speaking on the sidelines of her appeals trial.

According to Czech President Milos Zeman, NATO needs fundamental reform. In connection with what is happening in Afghanistan, he stated that NATO should cease to be a service organization of the United States and should start to feature equality among its members. According to him, NATO should also define its enemy, which is international terrorism, not Russia, for example.

The departure from Afghanistan, accompanied by the fact that the Taliban movement has practically taken over power in Afghanistan, is the fault of US President Donald Trump and his successor Joe Biden. According to him, both are “timid”.

British Plead With Biden to Extend Afghan Presence, Cannot Finish Evacuations Alone

The British are pleading with the Biden administration to extend the American presence in Afghanistan so that evacuations can be completed, with government ministers saying they cannot finish the job alone.

Britain’s Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces, James Heappey MP, says the United States “has effectively taken over the full operation” at Kabul airport, and that “the period of time it would take to get in place a replacement force is not realistic” — meaning the British would be unable to continue evacuations in the absence of American logistics.

Fox News Rescues Afghan Colleagues and Their Families From Kabul

Fox News rescued three Afghan nationals who have worked with the network for the last 20 years covering the region, along with another colleague and members of their respective families.

In total, the media company said it evacuated 24 people from the mayhem in the now-Taliban-controlled city of Kabul and flew them to Doha, Qatar, Fox CEO Suzanne Scott confirmed.

“These associates include consultants who served as local producers, translators, drivers and security guards supporting our correspondents throughout FOX’s coverage of the war in Afghanistan for nearly two decades,” Scott said in a statement.

“We are extremely proud to have assisted in this critical mission bringing them to safety in Doha where the Qataris have been aiding in several evacuations, and are grateful to Fox Corps for all their assistance.”

At least 17,000 people have been evacuated from Afghanistan, Maj. Gen. William Taylor said Saturday, including only 2,500 American citizens out of possibly up to 15,000.

Hoping Sleepy-Joe Would Become President, Osama Bin Laden Banned Al-Qaeda From Attempting to Kill Biden Because His Incompetence Would “Lead the US Into a Crisis”

Osama bin Laden banned al-Qaeda from trying to assassinate Joe Biden because — even over a decade ago — it was obvious he would be a completely incompetent president that would ‘lead the US into a crisis.’

The comments were discovered in a message that bin Laden wrote to an aide identified as ‘Brother Shaykh Mahmud’ (real name Atiyah Abd al-Rahman) in 2010. The 48-page letter was found with a massive amount of other documents by US special forces in Pakistan when the terrorist leader was killed in 2011.

India: Another Hindu Woman Converted to Islam, Sold Off, Slaughtered by Muslim Husband

Muslim men initiating romantic associations with Hindu women, marrying them, converting them to Islam, putting them through endless agonies and finally killing them has become an everyday occurrence in India. The horror of these stories remains constant; what changes is the intensity of violence these women are made to endure during their partnership with these men.

Yet another shocking case of this has been reported from Kota in the western state of Rajasthan, India; a 26-year-old mother of three, Rizwana, was attacked and killed by her husband Imran in the middle of the street in broad daylight, because she had been staying away from him and seeking a divorce.

Taliban Warn of “Consequences” if US Extends Evacuation

Taliban’s statement came a day after US President Joe Biden said he still hopes to complete the “heartbreaking” evacuation from Afghanistan by the end of the month.

The Taliban have warned there would be “consequences” if the US and its allies extend their presence in Afghanistan beyond the August 31 deadline, as chaos continued to overwhelm Kabul airport.

The Taliban takeover of the country last weekend shocked Western nations, coming just two weeks before the deadline for all troops to fully withdraw from the country.

Taliban’s statement came a day after US President Joe Biden said he still hopes to complete the “heartbreaking” evacuation from Afghanistan by the end of the month. Meanwhile, Britain said Monday it would urge the US to extend the August 31 deadline for evacuations from Afghanistan.

However, the Taliban, who have so far sought to strike a more moderate tone, showed no willingness to compromise on the US pullout.

Thailand: 24 Arrested at Illegal Party in Koh Samui Luxury Villa

Perhaps people are getting fed up with Covid-19 restrictions keeping them isolated and unable to socialize and party. Or maybe the police are cracking down more on the illegal parties that often become Covid-19 clusters or superspreader events. Either way, stories of private parties in violation of Covid-19 Emergency Decree restrictions being busted seem to be cropping up more and more frequently in recent weeks. And in the early hours of this morning in Koh Samui, police broke up a party and arrested 24 people.

Last night, just after midnight, police raided a private party in a luxury villa in the Plai Lam/Choeng Mon area on the northeastern part of Koh Samui. They arrested 24 people, 11 foreigners (10 men) and 13 Thai nationals (10 women) for violating Covid-19 regulations. 4 of the people detained had reportedly recently recovered from Covid-19.

Uganda: Muslim Father Poisons Daughter, Beats Her Unconscious for Leaving Islam and Marrying Christian

The death penalty for apostasy is the official position of all Islamic schools of jurisprudence. It comes from the Hadith in which Muhammad is depicted as saying:

“Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57)

Barbarism against apostates is therefore rampant across the Muslim world.

It didn’t even matter to Hajira Namusobya’s Muslim father that her former Muslim husband used to abuse her “so severely that she attempted suicide.” Her ex-husband “nearly killed her with torture, besides beating her weekly.” All that mattered was that Hajira left Islam.

Savagely turning on your own child in defense of Islam is also well known in cases of honor violence.

Afghan Refugees Arrive Across the US for State Department Resettlement

With thousands of Afghan refugees expected to arrive to the U.S., the State Departmentmust facilitate their resettlement across the country as some critics raise concerns over homeland security and the swift vetting process.

An undisclosed number of Afghan refugees arrived at Washington Dulles International Airport on Saturday, and were transported to Northern Virginia Community College’s Annandale Campus. Its Ernst Center was to be used to house at least 200 refugees, and the Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management gathered 500 cots, as well as food, water and other supplies.

But the State Department later bused the refugees back to the airport to be temporarily housed in the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia. A Pentagon spokesperson said the expo center will serve as a “temporary layover location” until the refugees, many of whom are children, can be transported to either Fort Bliss, Texas, or Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, WRC-TV reported.

Austria Wants EU to Set Up ‘Deportation Centres’ for Afghans

Vienna maintains a hardline stance on migration

(ANSA-AFP) — VIENNA, AUG 18 — Austria’s interior minister said Wednesday he would lobby the EU to help set up “deportation centres” in countries neighbouring Afghanistan to take in Afghans deported from Europe. Austria has insisted it wants to continue to deport Afghans whose asylum claims have been rejected or who have been found guilty of crimes and to discourage refugees fleeing the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan to come to Europe. “It is important… that it continues to be possible to deport violent asylum seekers or refugees, so we need these deportation centres,” Interior Minister Karl Nehammer told reporters before meeting his EU counterparts. Austria under conservative Sebastian Kurz has a hardline stance on migration, at odds with the chancellor’s current coalition partner, the Greens. The Taliban seized Kabul on Sunday, taking power again in Afghanistan after two decades of war and sparking huge concerns globally about their brutal human rights record.

Greece Completes Wall Near Turkish Border to Prevent Influx of Aghan Migrants

Greece has completed a 40-kilometer barrier system on the border with Turkey in an effort to stop Afghan migrants from attempting to enter the country. Turkey is also strengthening border controls.

“We cannot passively wait for a possible impact,” Minister for the Protection of Citizens Michalis Chrysochoidis said on Friday during a visit to the border area by the Evros River, which forms the natural border between Greece and Turkey. “

Our borders will remain intact,” he added.

Greece: Human Traffickers Caught Giving Migrants Fake COVID Papers for Flights

This news of fake Covid papers is no surprise. Many human traffickers (including organized NGOs) view themselves as “humanitarians” as they pursue their profitable ventures and assist in crime. Yet the vast majority of them are not being jailed or even being held responsible for their complicity. The Greek arrests represent a positive turn that should be replicated elsewhere.

Last year, a Greek minister accused multiple charities of “working with human traffickers to form a refugee-smuggling network that stretches from Somalia to the UK.”

The problem of illegal Muslim migrants being aided and abetted by human traffickers and smuggles is increasing across the EU in the face of the laxity of European officials, which serves as an open invitation.

Pope Removes Spanish Bishop

Cleric said homosexuality due to absent father figure

(ANSA) — VATICAN CITY, AUG 23 — Pope Francis on Monday removed a Spanish bishop who stirred controversy by saying homosexuality was linked to “an absent paternal figure”.

The move follows Francis’ removal last week of a Brazilian bishop over a gay video.

The pope accepted the resignation of Mons. Xavier Novell Gomà, bishop of Solsona in Catalonia.

The 52-year-old bishop, who also courted controversy with statements in favour of Catalan independence, was replaced by mons. Romà Casanova Casanova, bishop of Vic near Barcelona.

Gomà became Spain’s youngest bishop when he was appointed in November 2010, at the age of 41.

In May 2017 he was declared persona non grata by a local town because of his comments on the alleged causes of homosexuality.

This past May he had to be escorted out of a church because of a protest by LGBT activists, after refusing to retract his ‘absent father’ thesis.

Last Wednesday, on the other hand, the pontiff removed a Brazilian bishop after a video surfaced in which he is seen semi-naked with another man.

Msgr Tome’ Ferreira da Silva was replaced as bishop of the Sao Jose’ do Rio Preto diocese by Msgr Moacir Silva, archbishop of Ribeirao Preto.

Msgr Ferreira, 60, has admitted the video is his but has declined to comment on the content.

Soon after his election in 2013, the pope famously replied “Who am I to judge?” when asked about gays.

But Catholic doctrine that active homosexuality is a “disordered” state and a sin has remained unchanged.

    • Does that mean they will round up all single males and women and then tell them to come together in families or they stay in an internation camp?

And will the women be pressured like “If not one of you females sacrifices herself, then this man will kill 10 females.”

  1. It’s incredibly funny. I fell from my chair with laughter as I read this message.

Afghans who graduated from military universities in Russia sent an open letter to Vladimir Putin
“We ask: do not leave us among the extremists who want to destroy us all !!!”
    https://www.facebook.com/asiaplustj/posts/4325274137537676

All these graduates of military universities are asking Putin to take them out of Afghanistan, and apparently together with their numerous families – because they are all in danger of reprisals. They call themselves a part of the “Russian world”.

“We would like to stay in Afghanistan and serve for the benefit of its development, but if we are killed, we will never have such an opportunity. We are highly motivated. Most are planning to study in the Russian Federation on a master’s program. Some of us have already received a study quota.
To save us and the lives of our family members, Russia will need to take the necessary and practical steps to relocate us from Afghanistan, which is in the midst of a dangerous crisis.
Western countries have already made efforts to export Afghans – graduates of their universities. ”

Also among the comments under the post there is this:
“If these people are killed, the blame will fall on Russia!”

Russia will be to blame, not the Taliban! What slippery creatures!

    • Of course the blame will fall on Russia: Russians are creatures with free will.

Taliban and Islamists in general, are a force of nature, without free. It’s no more their fault what they do than it’s the fault of wild animals, and surely you wouldn’t blame wolves for being… wolves?

Am I the only one who has noticed that Islamists are treated as if they’re wild animals, instead of as humans with free will? Do they have free will?

  2. Antfa in Portand OR is the American deep state. Wake up people! federal law enforcement created a terrorist organization Antifa to persecute and control American citizens .

    • Hmmm, interesting to note that those of antifa don’t stray far from the reservation unless they have a death wish. Rather amusing that whenever they poke their noses in a conservative area they start running for their lives.
